Edwards endorsing unlikely before NC

From MSNBC’s Norah O'Donnell and Adam Verdugo
With the North Carolina Democratic primary a week away, Elizabeth Edwards tells MSNBC she'd be "surprised" if either her or her husband endorsed either Obama or Clinton before the contest. But she quickly left the door open for a change of heart saying, "You never say never" -- given that there are big news events that can impact the race.

"My inclination is not to say more than I have said," noting that she has only gone so far as to endorse Clinton's health-care proposal for universal health care coverage.

She also said the Edwards family is on vacation in Orlando, Fla. When asked about a New York Times report suggesting the possibility that she would endorse Clinton and her husband would endorse Obama, she responded, "We're more concerned about whether we're going to stand in line for Splash Mountain or Big Thunder Mountain next."

Who is Liz Edwards?
endorse hillary
The Edwards want to endorse Obama so bad, but yet, now they can't. The damage Obama has done to himself looks to be a terminal wound.
No courage, Edwards is acting like the cowardly lion
John Edwards is going to endorse whoever wins NC.
"We were landing under sniper fire.  There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base."

Just words....
We know where she stands. I doubt it matters where he stands. His endorsement would have carried far more weight before Super Tuesday.
The Edwardses are as full of themselves as Jeremiah Wright.

He's a loser who did'nt even carry his own state in the primary.

We don't need a Damn fool as a President!
People like the Edwards do not want to endorse a loser. A couple of weeks ago, they were ready to endorse Obama, and would have by now if he had come close in Pennsylvania. The fact is that Obama got blown out in Pennsylvania, and is now losing big in Indiana, and is giving up ground in NC. Everyday that goes by, it looks more and more like Hillary is going to win this nomination.

Does anybody care about an endorsement from the 'Breck Girl'. After years of getting rich of the insurance companies this guy wants to mandate we pay them for overpriced 'health insurance'.
Edwards is too busy shopping for the next big thing in hair mousse, to take a stand for the party. (That's John, not Elizabeth).
You just can't endorse a candidate on (1) policy, it should be on the total package. That's why the Edwards are having trouble endorsing Hillary.
Edwards and Edwards are just waiting for the results of North Carolina so they can properly support their constituency. They are will follow the will of the people because that is who they are.
John and Elizabeth, you could immensely help Hilary and help get rid of BO by announcing your support for her now.
I really doubt that his endorsement is going to mean much one way or the other.
Are they super delegates?  If not, then who cares?  They won't announce before NC bc they can't deliver it (remember 2004?).  The Edwards are irrelevant.
I wonder if Sen Edwards is running for reelection any time soon.  He would be crazy to endorse Clinton.  If superdelegates take this election from Barack Obama, it will destroy the democractic party.  If Clinton tries to damage Obama so much that he doesn't win the general election, many Obama supporters will do everything in their power to assure Hillary doesn't win the democratic primary next time around.
Why is Elizabeth Edwards speaking out so much more than John Edwards?

Probably the reason for his wimp factor.
I am very disappointed in John Edwards.  I feel like fence sitting is the coward's way out.  Is he hoping for a VP spot?  Why IS he so silent?

Then there is Elizabeth...

I will admit that I have had great admiration and respect for her in the past. She has presented herself as a strong, kind, knowledgeble woman.  But with this praise of the Clintonian health plan while she too publically fence sits?  Well that too is very disappointing.

While I am venting.... I am a 48 year old white woman from SC.  I have been an Obama supporter since his appearance at the 2004 convention.  I looked at my husband and my children and said, "If that man ever runs for national office, I will support him, campaign for him, and donate money to him!"  And I have.  I have never been this involved in a campaign before.  My husband has NEVER before supported a democrat.  And he does support Obama.  My "children" - 22 & 20, have made Obama support a family affair.

Inspite of all of the negative attacks, slips and stumbles, Obama is still the man.  I still believe in the hope and possibility he brings to the American people.  In some ways, I feel like Obama is all of us.  He is what our nation is becoming... all races, all creeds, diverse backgrounds... all coming together as one people of a single nation.  YES WE CAN!  And YES, HE CAN LEAD US THERE!
Edwards is not impressing me with his finger in the air, assessing the political winds. Like Ferarro, I have come to understand why G-D denied them any part of the Whitehouse.
Come on Elizabeth and John. Hillary is better on health care and the economy. She is connecting to the very people that you have championed. Back Hillary Clinton for president.
It's a bird, it's a bird oooooh it's still a bird and it is going to be for BARACK OBAMA!!!
PLS PUBLISHED THE CASE BETWEEN HILLARY CLINTON V. PETER PAUL, FOX NEWS HAS PUBLISHED IT, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?
Of course, Elizabeth is going to endorse HRC  - by the way what is the "staus"  of her endorsement  - because she is married to John  ?  is a superdelegate  is a delegate?  John will endorse HRC because she has "promised"  him his heart's desire   -  John be very careful when you make a pack with the devil  - who is known to reverse the promise of decency as soon as you are used up  - remeber Richardson & the hispanic vote.  At the end of the day, we are all suffering from campaign fatigue  -PLEASE  PLEASE  put us all out of our miser!!
"promised"
I have a feeling that they will endorse Clinton before the primary! At least Elizabeth Edwards will.

I don't see how people can say that MSNBC is the "pro-Obama" network when you guys have been beating this dead horse for six weeks. Mr. Obama has denounced (and rejected, Billary supporters) his former pastor's comments over and over and MSNBC has kept beating him over the head with it. Judging from Mr. Obama's demeanor today, he obviously is tired of having to explain himself to you guys (which he shouldn't have to do; after all, Jeremiah Wright isn't running for President.) Get back to having some class. Get back to being "the place for politics;" not "the place where we exploit practically irrelevent controversies in order to keep the Democratic race alive in order to prop up our ratings." Leave that to the egos at CNN or the tools at Faux "News." You are better than that. Quit badgering Mr. Obama; we have an election coming up.
Some idiot HRC supporter thought they would support Clinton-wrong.  Meanwhile Obama is wracking up superdelegates and will continue to do so.
Obama 08
I guess Splash Mountain is *very important* ...most other Americans have to make up their mind much earlier and don't have the luxury that their biggest concern is whether or not they have to stand in line in an expensive theme park. The country is burning and Clinton and McCain are chopping some more wood for the fire.
Put us out of our misery and let HRC win NC, IN, KY and WVA - then Obama can become VP and learn how to be president and we all promise to vote for him in 8 years.
