From NBC's Domenico Montanaro
Clinton is up with a new ad in North Carolina featuring a glowing recommendation from North Carolina Gov. Mike Easley, who recently endorsed the New York senator.

Here’s the script for the 30-second ad, "Determined":
EASLEY: These are tough times in America and I think that Hillary is the one we can count on to get the job done. She's going to turn the economy around, she's going bring new jobs, she's going to get some tax cuts for the middle class for a change. She's going to make health care available to everybody in this country, and she's going to do everything she can to help every child reach their full potential.

She is so resilient, so determined. She knows how to deliver. She'll be a great president.

CLINTON: I'm Hillary Clinton and I approved this message.

As long as she doesn't have to get the coffee or fill up the car.
ummmmmm
she didn't do any of that in NY...
so what would make us believe she can do it in the whole country?????
I don't want a BSer for a President,
been there done that,
hasn't worked out so well!
Come on folks....take a second look!
Hillary is the one we've been waiting for!
I've come to dislike Hillary Clinton
Are they hiring at Magnaquench?  I heard they have a great health care plan.
You forgot the part about her NOT getting the nomination while damaging the party.  Hey, what do you care, you're going out to pasture.
We're still waiting for her to bring the 200,000 new jobs to Western NY to jumpstart our economy.  This was promised in her first senatorial campaign.  Instead, there has been a net loss.

People of Indiana, check and see what she had done for the economy of her own state!

oh please.
I guess Clinton is under the impression that Easley is really popular here, and that is not the case.  He's currently under a lot of criticism for totally screwing up Medicaid funding and the mental health system, and the feds are looking for something like 120 million repayment for misused Medicaid money. Another $300 million was wasted, and probably will never be recovered. I really don't think Mr. Easley is a lame duck, who will not bring out the type of machine effort that Hillary got from Rendell in PA.
Follow the link and read HRC's latest lie.  And this is a good one for Indiana voters.  Whe is it that ABC can report this but MSNBC will not?

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/Vote2008/story?id=4757257&page=1
She doesn't even need the ad - the media is giving her campaign all the help it needs - why should she spend a penny??

24/7 coverage of Rev. Wright - what would happen if we saw 24/7 coverage of the Clinton scandals and Hillary's involvement - disected and combed over and run on a loop with every angle possible 24/7 for weeks - you think her poll numbers might go down??

The press is creating the story they want to report.

How is that Ethical?
Isn't Gov. Easley an unpopular governor on his way out in NC?  I don't think his opinion holds much weight.
"She is going to... she is going to..."

Perhaps we should look at all the "She is going to..." promises she made while running for NY Senator to see how they turned out. I would imagine that her ability to get those 'simpler' promises in the Senate would be a good judge of how likely it would be that she could accomplish her promises as President.
Oh give me a break.  This is not a news story.  It is a political advertisement and should be reported a such to the PUC.

Oh, I almost forgot.  Easley forgot to mention that she was going to do all that on day one and the annialate Iran on day 2 so she could take the rest of the week off.
sounds good. I wish she had been running positive ads all along. I think she and the Democratic party would be in better shape.
As long as you are on the subject of politics in NC, why are you not reporting the illegal robo calls targeted at disenfranchising African Americans?  Women's Voices Women Vote has accepted responsibility for this activity, and by the way, Maggie Williams, Hillary's campaign manager, is on their board. Can you imagine the storm in the media this would create if somebody in Obama's campaign were associated with criminal activity? Come on guys, lets do some real investigative journalism.
I guess it's good that Democrats have a backup candidate in case Obama isn't available but it's not gonna happen.  Obama is wrapping this up... he only needs about 30% of the remaining votes but he'll do better than that.

GO OBAMA!
And New Yorkers say "Man, these lies sound familiar"
She is so resilient, so determined. She knows how to deliver. She'll be a great president.

-Mike Easly

A corrected assessment:

She is doggedly stubborn, and in denial. She has'nt  delivered on Health Care for 15 years, nor did she deliver for New York. History will not be kind in it's record of her debacle of a Presidency.
I've heard that Easley is not that popular, but the press has painted this as a big endorsement.

Which is true NC?
She's going to pander to you and act like she's not the rich, sheltered woman that she is.

She's going to say what she has to say, to win the next "Big State" and to heck with the rest of you or the Country as a whole.

She's going to lie to you (misspeak) and ask that you change the rules for her, so that she can win.

She's going to make Barack Obama the true enemy and not John McCain, she's going to act more Republican than George Bush just to get your vote...

(Oh, he doesn't say that in the ad, I must have been mistaken...)

sorry, couldn't help myself!
Great spot!  And how true.  She is an accomplished leader and Bill is her secret weapon!

With Bill and Hillary working together for Americans, we will see the prosperity that we enjoyed in the 90's.  Now, who doesn't want that.
Guaranteed success!

While many think an untested, unvetted weak man, Obama, is the answer.  No way!
It takes more than determination, it takes skill.  Obama has it, Hillary has none.  Obama hit the nail on the head with his now famous 2002 Anti-Iraq War speech.  Obama hit the nail on the head with this whole rediculous McCain-Clinton gas-tax proposal, a useless distraction from solving the real problems driving up prices.  I'm sick of bruised thumbs, I want to be part of the house Obama builds.
Way to latch on to a sinking ship at the last minute, Mr. Easley.

So there was this guy, George Allen, he used to be the next Republican nominee for president until he did something really, really stupid. Your time's up too, Mr. Governor. You won't be running with Hillary, and you won't be running in 2016.

Obama/Sebelius '08!
After reading the Governors comments all I can say is how will she do all these things?  How?
A swing and a miss....Sorry Senator   it's too little and too late.  Time to save face and get behind them Dem. nominee.
She's going to Bosnia under sniper-fire.
She's going to give Bill a free pass on Monica.
She's going to accept money from special interest.
She's going to try and DESTROY Obama and make him as unelectible as possible (McCain won't last two terms.)
She's going to like.
She's going to pander.
She's going to court for Peter Paul.
She's going to send Bill to Columbia (to get more money.)
She's going to freeze gas taxes which will make thousands of workers lose their seasonal jobs working road construction while we sit and burn the tax savings in traffic due to NO ROAD REPAIR!
She's going to have her daughter lie for her (PeterPaul)
She's going to call Rev. Wright for marriage counseling (after Monica)
She's going to OBLITERATE another country.

I don't like where SHE'S GOING!
Hillary is the true leader for the Deomcrats. Obama has done nothing for this country. He's not ready now, and never will be ready to be president. The man is as much of a fraud as his pastor.
Clinton = economy

She will bring back the peace and properity of the 1990's. America needs a Clinton today.
Obama will never get the vote of the working class of this country. We don't want an elitist like him anywhere near the White House, it's enough we have to put up with him in the Senate.
"... and she makes Rocky Balboa look like a pansy."

Rrrrright.

Wow that's amazing!!! Now how about you make an ad for people who dont care to have a fighter. Also, I think the media should really go after these politicans who make all these promises.  I promise you none of these things will get done of her presidency.  I don't care if Barack is the President and then she becomes the president--meaning I don't dislike the Lady but I am not as naive to think  HER healthcare plan will not make it through congress.  Wait until people who vote on these issues get calls and letters from their constituents about how they don't want a MANDATE on purchasing health care. Or well just wait until the next senate elections and we'll have a Republican congress.

I think it is in the interest of the American people to NOT elect HRC.  I mean she's been "working" on Healthcare for the last 16 years don't let her suffer another 4 or 8.  People look out for your fellow American.  I just don't want to see an emo president. And Please!!!! Someone hold these politicans accountable.  Tell them that these issues don't just because laws they HAVE to GO THRU CONGRESS.  And thank God they do.  If Bush43 could make a proposal and make it law imagine where our country would be.  Think people!  Think!

I am Richard Banger and approve this message
It's pretty clear at this point who the more qualified candidate is.
Obama has shown his true colors. He said he wouldn't disassociate himself with Wright, then lowered the boom on him when his own "numbers" started falling.
That isn't "change."
That's just plain old flip-flopping.
At least with Hillary, you know what they're going to say, and that she'll stand her ground when they say it.
This guy falls apart when you ask him why he doesn't wear a flag pin on his lapel for God's sake!

HILLARY 2008,
Experience counts and you're seeing why right now!
Easley should have remembered his history - "A Chicken in Every Pot and a Car in Every Garage" was promised by Herbert Hoover in his run for president 80 years ago, right before the great depression. This is where we have to be realistic about our choice in president - do we want someone who tells us what we want to hear, or someone who tells us what we need to hear. This is precisely why I am voting for Obama.
I'm an Obama supporter but have to give her kudos for not going negative with her latest ad.

OBAMA 08

Joe from Nashville,

The thought of Bill roaming around the halls of the White House again makes my skin crawl, as it does most woman, I would think. He was a disgrace in the 90's and still remains so today and she's become a disgrace in this campaign. People are tired of her lies and her "entitlement" to the office and wish to send her packing. This should be accomplished shortly after next Tuesday. But, thanks for playing. Now go home....except where would that be? So far it's been New York, Arkansas, Washington, Illinois and now PA.
If a holiday from the gas tax is a bad thing, it follows that raising the gas tax will help the economy and the environment.  BO frequently touts that he will tell us the things we need to hear whether we want to or not.  Why is he not calling for a rise in the gas tax?  (or has not got there yet because he's going to raise every other tax)
Presidents have very little to do with the economy so Pam, the 90's are history and Bill and Hill really can't claim credit for that. Peace? She's threatening to obliterate Iran, what kind of peace is that?

Supers, come out now, this has to end before she kills us all!
Way to go. Hillary sure will make the bigest change and differences we need. Obama unless he is going to do away with the congress cannt do all the changeing he says he will. Maybe he wants to take us into dictatorship than he will have his changes. His wife can be proud and he will destroy the USA.This is not one to take a risk on. Hillary is the right choice and we need to see she does extra well in these two states. Obama out spends her always and cannt close the deal. People at last minute with hand on that lever need to think best for country. Obama or McCain not it.Vote Hillary now sort out rest later.Obama is not one of the blue collor workers and never will be. He uses people than ditches them ,even blacks. He is so not for us  people think .The vote you give this time might be the bigest in your lifetime.Obama is a racist and politician from word go and that makes him untruthful as well as elitist. His own doing.
Hill-O and the gov do have something in common" they have both been investigated for illegal land deals and the like. Google him.
I'm glad he got through it without making
any more gay slurs.
WE PICKED UP THREE MORE SUPER DELEGATES TODAY FOR OBAMA!

CHECK IT OUT!

HRC is not in the White House and she already has a foreign policy blunder.  She wanted to appear tough, but now she appears to have egg in her face.  That's what happens when you talk or act without considering all the consequences.  Bad judgement!

In return, Iran is probably going to increase its support of terrorists in Iraq.

MSNBC, report what the others are reporting not just Wright.

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/05/01/clinton.iran/index.html
Easley is NOT a popular governor here. He is reminiscent of corrupt "good old boy" politics.  Maybe that's why he has climbed aboard the Clinton train.  It might look good for them elsewhere in the country, but I can't think that his endorsement will impress NC residents.
Pat of Huntington, NY has come to dislike Clinton???? WOW!!! Talk about a major change of heart.  I saw that you posted on another that Obama rocks your world.  This to me is more major than Andrew switching allegiance - Pat - welcome to the future.
NY is still waiting for deliveries.
We need Hillary, NOW!
She tried to pass healthcare when her husband was President and failed.

She promised new jobs in New York and failed to deliver (and actually blamed Al Gore not getting the Presidency as the reason!).

AND...how can she get all those things done that Mr. easely is promising without being able to work with the Congress?  I can't see ANY Republican voting for ANYTHING Hill proposes.  Can you?
Easley's comments might affect people outside North Carolina, but not here, no way.
When will you people wake up and realize that WE ARE NOT LIVING IN THE 90'S!  My God! These are totally different times.  You can not choose an president on something their SPOUSE did!  And if you believe on that pandering crap, then you deserve her and her husband and all their trade deals.  All of their lies and manipulation.  Be happy!
