HRC: Says In Race After Tuesday

Posted: Saturday, May 03, 2008 12:00 PM by Chuck Todd

From NBC/NJ's Mike Memoli
CARY, N.C. – Hillary Clinton suggested today that she intends to contest primaries beyond Tuesday, but stopped short of saying she’d take her bid for the nomination to the convention.

Clinton was mainly asked questions about family issues during a staged roundtable for the Web site MomLogic.com. When asked about the heated Democratic contest, Clinton said there has been a lot of passion on both sides, with supporters taking “everything almost personally. But she said that for the most part, it has been “civil.”

“I think that we’ll have a unified Democratic Party once we have a nominee,” she said. “No matter how passionately either my supporters or Senator Obama’s supporters feel about us, they have much more in common in terms of what we want in the country than we do with Senator McCain and the Republicans”

Asked specifically if she’d fight all the way to the convention, Clinton demurred.

“Well I plan on going all the way through the next contests, West Virginia, Kentucky and others,” she said. “I would not be doing this if I did not believe I’d be the best president.”

In the forum Clinton shared few personal stories, including one about her and her husband trying to break open a coconut. She was also asked about how she endured “through really difficult times” in her marriage.

“I obviously was fortunate to be able to rely on and be grounded in my faith, which has been an anchor for me throughout my entire life,” she said. “I also really believe in family and believe in the importance of family, and believe that family is the core of your relations. … When you are in a difficult situation, oftentimes you feel like you just want to withdraw into yourself, and you want to just shut the world out. Now if you have to do it in front of the world, that’s a little hard to do.”

So...is this actually news?
Weak.
This democratic primary is one for the history books, that's for sure.

I believe Obama will emerge victorious in that respect, regardless to the outcome of this election cycle.
Hillary Clinton has more ties to radical left wing politics than the mainstream media reports on:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/carl-bernstein/the-shame-of-hillary-clin_b_99912.html
NC JJ Dinner Friday night, the crowd was with Obama:

""And we are here for one reason — to make sure that next president is a Democrat," Clinton said. "I will tell you this, if Senator Obama is the nominee, I will work my heart out for him."

That line prompted cheers of "O-BAM-A" from the crowd, which appeared to heavily favor the Illinois senator and roared when he took the stage 70 minutes later. Audience members roared and came to their feet several times during his speech. Although Clinton got applause, it was not as robust."  NC's news-record.com

C-span had it live.
Just what exactly is Barack Obama trying to do?

(1) Overturn a culture of cynicism and institutional corruption dating back before any of us were born.

(2) Begin a new day of people comming together to build solutions to problems, instead of tearing each other apart for political gain.

(3) Begin the healing of the wounds of war, sickness and economic deprivation built up from the decades of cynicism and institutional corruption.

It is no wonder that all the forces of the darker side of our civilization have come forward to oppose him.

May God be with him.
I can see the right wing 527 ads now:  Hillary Clinton's words about her family being a core source of strength upon old video of Bill hugging a beret clad Monica.

If G-D chooses to bless us, Obama will be our next President.

He hears all prayers. There are many Americans, as well as, other nations that are praying for Barack Obama to enter the oval office in January 2009.

Did she cry while talking about her marital problems.  Since this was a "staged" round table, we can assume that her campaign inserted this topic to gain empathy.  Let the people with real questions regarding Monica, Jennifer and impeachment ask them of her.
She is sooooo phony. She has NEVER had a hard day in her life. If she really loved anyone but herself Bill would not have had to go else where. Who wants to sleep with a cold fish, or should I say an iceberg? That anyone with any intelligence could beleive her lies and twisted truths is beyond comprehension.
Oh PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!  What an opportunist!  I guess Goldilocks, Paul Revere and Rocky is now morphing into Ozzie and Harriett!  She is a joke.  I hope her faith carries her through the fact that she has sold her soul.
The oils of the Slick Williary compaign continue to ooze and form pustules of discontent that will surely leave the face of the Democratic party scared……
It AMAZES me how you all picked up the story about clintons camp calling Indianains "white n*ggers" but you refuse to even comment on the Peter Paul -vs- The Clinton trial.  I don't know nor do I understand what the Clintons either have on these networks or have promised you guys, but I do know this and that is "TRUTH CRUSHED TO EARTH WILL RISE!" Obama, will rise out of the ashes of all of this crap that MSNBC, CNN, FAUX NETWORK, NY TIMES, THE AP, THE WASHINGTON POST have put him, his camp, his family and supporters through!

C'mon Indiana and NC...Show em' that you're not fooled by the b/s spuned by the Clinton machine nor its NETWORK OF SUPPORT!

President Barack Obama...:)
Clinton needs to get out after Tuesday at the latest.  Her old style politics and pandering are tranparent in the media age.  People see through the gimmicks of the past and the country needs real change which only Obama can provide.
Hillary "Republican" Clinton is McCain's best ally in this election year keeping this farce of a primary going.  I keep laughing at how the media calls her a fighter, yeah where was her "fight" 15 years ago when she was trying to push through real universal health care and then got shot down?  She wimped out of that fight and now she comes back with mandatory insurance, the dream of the medical insurance industry's lobby.  She has never fought for anything except now in this primary because she's too self serving to see the harm she's causing our party and Obama's chances in November.

Go Obama!
It is worth noting that the primary in NC and IN and ultimately the election hinge on a bet by two of the candidates that low information voters will believe their preposterous assertions that a "gas tax holiday" will help them pay their fuel bills this summer.
Anyone with a high school level education in economics will tell you a gas tax holiday will actually have the effect of raising gasoline prices. The consumer will simply never see a dime and the oil companies will make even higher profits. Not to mention the fact that it might put as many as 300.000 people out of work when the country is reeling from job losses or drive our debt even higher.

It is simply impossible to even suggest that such a measure could be introduced much less pass through congress before the end of the summer given nobody but McCain and Clinton support it in congress.

We are witnessing an epic and historic clash of old and new politics, one rooted in pander and deception of the past and one with the promise of truth and transparency.

My vote is for Senator Obama
Hillary if you believe in family values as you said in this article, why did you stay with a man that cheated on you constantly throughout your marriage.  The public knows of 4 examples for sure.  I wish you would show this on this site.
I don't believe this for a minute!!!!!!  OBAMA '08
Just quit please, good god.
Of course she's staying in the race. She will still be campaigning 2 years from now - Secret Service will have to drag her away from Obama's White House kicking and screaming.

But this wont go to the convention. After all the primaries, Obama will only need a small minority of the remaining super delegates - like 25%-30%. He only needs 1 super delegate for every 2 that Clinton gets, but so far he's been getting 2 to her 1. If she wants to drag it out, that's her prerogative. But bitter-gate is over, and Wright has been kicked to the curb. The worst of it has passed, so all he has to do is wait her out. She has no arguments left, and wont be able to win the popular vote (FL and MI delegates will be seated, but their popular votes will never be counted).
Is it worth commenting on a pack of manipulative lies?
Given the evolving hisory of politics in general, is there any way anyone can prove otherwise??? And why is it again that people ought to vote anyway???
"Innocent until proven"- WHAT, IN A COURT OF WHAT???
That Hillary is a hoot! In this campaign she's changed from a multi-millionaire into a blue collar worker, from a person who didn't discuss religion to a person that has implied she's not sure about Obama's Muslim connection and  her faith is what she leans on- from a Bosnia sniper-fire victim to a US Representative, and from someone I admired to someone I now despise. Quite an accomplishment in 16 months.
Hillary !!  News flash ! When one is grounded in one's faith and family does that assume that your faith makes allowances for lying, deception, fraud and everything else that stands against integrity.
So in your belief of faith the family that lies togother flies together. Have I got that right ?
Obama 08
This better end wed. If this goes beyond it will be THE END FOR DEMS
Bush also believed that he would be the best president.  A lot of Americans also voted for him twice. I never thought that he would be, in any shape or form, someone who could run the country.  Hillary also believes that she would be the best president.  Her choice of offering the gas tax holiday shows that she is not as the gas tax holiday would also benefit those who has no need of it while it will create the deterioration of our infrastructure and unemployment of low income people.  Worse, she knows it but still offers it because she believes that a lot a Americans are not smart enough to understand.  She has no respect for the Americans.  what a cynical person.
I am so proud of Hillary. I just saw a you tube with an AA asking others to remember the good clintons did for them and not to turn there back. Than he said we could have 16 yrs in White House. Wouldnt that be great.Hillary ,I think, has so many solutions and knows how to do them too. She understands the city problems, small town ones and those inbetween. She had a good take on the farm bill too.She does so many things at once something I think is needed. She will make us all proud. I know the people there were glad they had the chance to meet her.
She should stay in the race..No one has won yet..Obama is in self destruct mode..only the far left will vote for him in the general..Hillary is proving she can fight it out to the end..and not give up, which is about as good a quality you want in the oval office.
Counting on going all the way to Colorado is costing the candidates money and time ...This squandering of resources, lives and material will solve nothing...

Sending a unified message is better for America and will begin to change Washington  now....

Obama promises (and we shall hold him accountable)
that lobbyist will no longer steal you tax dollars for projects that cause taxes to be squander.
That gives us more dollar value...competition of the global economy demands this...stronger dollar more oil for less money..A no war drain economy....Goods a services that have a broarder appeal to foriegn markets...Energy Independence is the Key...

Obama is now green...let's keep it that way...!!
Hillary Rodham Clinton should remain in the race for president and win the election as she would then become the Mother of our Country, nurture it and give it the T.L.C. it so desperately needs.
This woman will have to be dragged kicking and screaming out of this contest! She appears to be so power driven, that, as a psychologist, I seriously woory about her mental health should she lose this election.
My God indeed. Please put us out of her misery SDs!!! I really don't know how anyone could vote for this woman.
Re: "difficult times". It's a pity the person causing Hillary pain was her spouse in serial adultery. Psychologist believe this represents a pattern. What will Bill do in the White House this time?  Obama is the family friendly candidate.  Hermine PA
Hillary the Chameleon.  She changes her stories to fit t=he listener.  In other words she lies.  She will have a court case for fraud in California.  And she talks about her opponents. I was going to support Hillary at one time but her sleazy personal remarks are too much for me. Obama is a Breath of Fresh Air.
Obama is toast.  Vote for Hillary, she's the best.
Obama is our Savior. Obama, Ayers, and Reverend Wright are Right! God D*** america! The stupid, bitter, racist "typical white people" of pennsylvania voted for clinton. How disgusting, now they have even more blood on their hands! They ignored their opportunity to redeem themselves for their racim, and evil past -> slavery - to finally make Michelle proud. How sad. Please no hater responses, but you bitter, typical Indiana white people, please stop buying guns and save your money for my reparations check! Obama ''08, Repartions Check, ''09! http://www.npr.org/programs/specials/racism/010827.reparations.html

Anyone not voting for Obama is a racist!!!
Fine by me. A day in politics is an eternity, anything can happen. If something happens to one of these candidates or a scandal happens we will be glad we have another candidate.
Bill Clinton said on April 4 that NC is a MUST WIN for her campaign!!!http://www.mcclatchydc.com/election2008/story/32788.html
If Hillary wins NC and Indiana, Obama should do what is best for the party, and leave the race.  The momentum has changed in this election.
Using infidelity as an reason for a stronger family just does not fly in this household..
My father screwed around on my mother for years...
and it screwed up my sister and me for years....
These distractions (because we were middle class)
caused a seperation that really never was resolved...even when my father was on his death bed...my sister would not speak to him.
So Infidelity does in no way cause families to become more strong...It weakens them....
Telling any other thing about this is a lie...

Women please don't fall into this trap..
Hillary's almost giving the green light for men to
be in bed with other women..Forgiveness is not a measure of your strength..unless safeguards are enacted...and those safe guards are that measure...
To many SDS's and illnesses
Keep your husbands from wondering.

FROM MSNBC First Read 5/3/08.

— Clinton’s O’Reilly Flub? During her Bill O’Reilly interview and in a press release issued earlier this week, Clinton pledged to use the WTO as a way to pressure OPEC nations on the price of oil. But the WTO explicitly exempts energy and there are some who argue that if WTO did get involved in energy, it would only benefit the major oil companies.
.
Bottom line, it’s not clear Clinton is dealing in reality on this issue since there really isn’t a legal process to use the WTO to attack OPEC, but it sure sounds good, right?
.
O’Reilly never followed up with her on this issue, perhaps he didn’t know about the energy exemption in the WTO. No doubt Clinton will have to answer for this the next time she’s grilled on this inconsistency. Folks who really understand this issue expressed concern that Clinton so easily talked about this as a viable option when it is apparently not.

—> WHEN WILL VOTERS WISE UP ABOUT HILLARY AND HER CAMPAIGN PROMISES?
The right wing sear machines have been laser focused on smearing Obama and bloodying him.  By all accounts, with all the push from right wing and Clintons he should be six feet under by now!! Once the nomination is over, I have no doubt he will surge in the polls
Hillary just gives the green light for men to screw
around on their wife!...LIAR...she's in it for the ride...don't kid your self
Obama voters just robed bank in Philadelphia.Cool!!!
Change we can trust yeaa right
Apparently she said that the NC would be a game changer. I am lost as to what she could have meant by that.  How will the game change?  Even if she wins by 30% margin, how will that change her situation?  Obama will still be the front runner at the end of it all.  And you don't take the nomination from the front runner to give it to the runner up.  Her thought process is dangerous and I think she is quite capable of starting a major world war, yes, by literally trying to obliterate Iran.  This woman is a loose canon.
HRC needs to get out after Tuesday. I have never trusted the Clinton's after what we went through in the 90's with them...It seems as if they will say and do anything to get elected. They are a disgrace to the Dems.
Enough!!! Please go away HRC
Hillary drops out May 12th.
I'm sure she is going to stay in the race until June 3rd. That's why when the media says Barack can't put her away I laugh. You can't force her out and she has no intention of ever leaving. She is so pathetic.

Obamanation rise up
The statement should be Stays in race, not Says in race.  Spell check!
If Sen. Clinton is not stopped she will take her arguement to the Democratic Convention.  And its not to win the nomination now.

Democratic voters should remember how Sen. Clinton treated them.  All the out right lying.  Not enough heart felt emotion to confess she had made a grave error in her vote for war in Iraq.  Blaming the NAFTA scandal on Obama.  And what she is getting away with that her voters will find out about only after the General Election.

Sen. Clinton should not be allowed to retain her Senate seat.  Samatha Powers was right about her.
I WILL VOTE FOR HILLERY CLINTON OR VOTE FOR McCAIN
If statistically she has a chance, OK, I'm sorta OK with it, although I have truly hated her negative campaign.  If there is no hope, then I really hope she GETS OUT.  First Read:  Puhleez!  Can we have a statistical analysis of the candidates reasonable chances?
