Hillary on ABC

Posted: Sunday, May 04, 2008 1:19 PM by Mark Murray

From NBC/NJ's Mike Memoli
INDIANAPOLIS -- Hillary Clinton said this morning that she does not regret her strong language about an attack on Iran, and also slammed the “elite opinion” of her proposal for a gas tax holiday.

During an hour-long appearance on ABC’s This Week that was staged as a voter town hall, Clinton also said that “we should move on” from the discussion of Rev. Jeremiah Wright, and turned the tables on host George Stephanopoulos when challenged over her positions on trade.

But the lengthiest exchange was about Iran. In an interview that aired on the day of the Pennsylvania primary, Clinton said that the United States “would be able to totally obliterate” Iran if they launched a strike against Iran. Host George Stephanopoulos asked the New York senator if she regretted the strong tone, which Obama compared to George W. Bush.

“Why would I have any regrets?” she said. “I'm asked a question about what I would do if Iran attacked our ally, a country that many of us have a great deal of, you know, connection with and feeling for, for all kinds of reasons. And, yes, we would have massive retaliation against Iran. I don't think they will do that, but I sure want to make it abundantly clear to them that they would face a tremendous cost if they did such a thing.”

She also said that a “vigorous diplomatic engagement” should be the first strike, appealing to the “rational” Iranian people who are at odds with their government. “I don't think it's time to equivocate about what we would do,” she said.

Issue No. 1 this morning was what has become the biggest policy flashpoint of the two-week campaign in North Carolina and Indiana -- her plan to impose a gas tax holiday, offset by a tax on oil companies. Clinton was asked if she could produce any economist who disagreed with the overwhelming consensus of experts and lawmakers who have questioned the plans merits.

“I think we've been for the last seven years seeing a tremendous amount of government power and elite opinion basically behind policies that haven't worked well for the middle class and hard-working Americans,” she said. “I'll tell you what -- I'm not going to put my lot in with economists, because I know if we get it right, if we actually did it right, if we had a president who used all the tools of the presidency, we would design it in such a way that it would be implemented effectively.”

Her answer reflected increasing efforts by the Clinton camp to place her on the side of middle-class voters against the views of those, including Obama himself, who they suggest are out of tough. She criticized “this mind-set where somehow elite opinion is always on the side of doing things that really disadvantage the vast majority of Americans.”

More than 200 Hoosiers, chosen without input from the campaign, were invited to the Indianapolis hotel to be part of the event. A smaller number of North Carolinians participated via satellite. Michelle Skinner, who was one of seven members of the audience who got to pose a question, asked Clinton if the Jeremiah Wright controversy should still be a part of the discussion, or if people should “move on.”

"Well, we should definitely move on,” she said. “And we should move on because there's so many important issues facing our country that we have to attend to.” But she did concede that “there's no doubt they talk about it.”

Clinton also faced questions about agriculture, the economy, the possibility of an Obama/Clinton ticket, and trade issues. On the latter, Clinton enlisted host Stephanopoulos.

"George and I actually were against NAFTA,” she said, noting he worked in the Clinton White House. “I'm talking about him in his previous life, before he was an objective journalist and didn't have opinions about such matters.”

Can anyone at MSNBC actually report what it would take to get this gas tax holiday in effect for the summer? What has to happen--who has to vote on it, who has to approve it? What are the actual mechanics to this proposal and what are the actual results.

Stop starving low information voters to death with silly stories like Hillary's filly and how many personal appearances Bill makes or how many times around the roller rink the Obamas went.
Again, since Clinton the importance of experience and expertise in this campaign, why is she now suggesting policies (gas tax, Iran) that those with experience and expertise almost universally condemn?  If their expert opinions can be tagged 'elitist' why can't her own claims to experience at elite levels of Washington be discounted as well?
And how is all this playing??? LOOK at Obama's HUGE bounce back in the gallup tracking.... An 8 point move in two days!  Will the media report like they did Hillary's recent bounce?  The Wright issue has no staying power, Hillary's honesty problems do.
Only with Obama's approach to Middle East policy, can the dangerous decline in American defense capability be reversed. Only with Obama's approach, can the intensions behind American policy in the region regain a measure of respect.
Tugging at the heartstrings is the definition of pandering. Every time this supposed tax "holiday" has been tried, it has resulted in higher gas prices from higher consumption. In the process the infrastructure will suffer. Clinton has already earmarked the so called "windfall profits tax" to other projects. This information came out in her interview on ABC this morning. So she could not replace the infrastructure funds. Pandering at its best.
Unfortunately, the gentleman you mentioned would ultimately not benefit from a gas tax rebate. The oil company or suppliers would inch the price up on a weekly basis, just as they do now. When the tax was reinstated, do you think the companies would reduce their incremental increases over the life of the tax rebate? Of course not.
This is why all the economic experts are against this bogus idea.
This is the Clinton campaign: bogus ideas, pandering to special interests, and lobbyists, and misleading the American people.
Very good interview.  Hillary has Solutions. Obama has rhetoric.  I'll take solutions any day of the week.

Hillary 08
Oh my god, now she is saying she was against NAFTA!  Are there seriously still people in this country, supporting this pathological liar for President of the United States?  Are you against CAFTA also, Hillary?  Maybe you should check with Monica's boyfriend first, since he is lobbying for it!

Obama in 2008.  Integrity matters and the Clintons have none.  Vote for the Democratic candidate who is not being sued for campaign finance fraud!

Hillary Clinton is an amazing candidate, an amazing woman and will be an amazing President.

Hillary's detail grasp of domestic and international issues is unmatched.

Her appearance this morning with George was most impressive.

The Dems would be foolish not to nominate the most qualified and most electable candidate, Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Obama is unelectable. His negatives are rapidly rising with the Wright, Rezko, Auchi, Khalidi, radical Kenyan, African leader Raila Odinga (Obama's cousin??) who wants to instill Sharia law (woman, take note) Ayers and Dorhrn and various other unaswered questions about him remain.

Obama has not told the truth about his relationship with William Ayers and Bernardine Dorhrn, both domestic terrorists from the radical Weather Underground, both of whom would likely be and should be serving life prison sentences for their crimes had the FBI not bungled their cases. Both Dorhn and Ayers were on the FBI most wanted list for over a decade and lived in hiding. They have taken credit for bombings in the U.S. in New York and Wash DC.

Obama claimed that Ayers was "just a guy who lived in his neighborhood". Not exactly. Obama worked for Ayers for over 8 years, Obama was hired by Ayers to be the director of the Annenberg Challenge in Chicago which Ayers created to poison the minds of young people with his anti-American sentiments. Obama worked with Ayers for years on the board of the Woods Foundation in Chicago, Obama worked with Dorhn along with Michelle Obama at the law firm of Sidley and Austin in Chicago whose major client was Commonwealth Edison, where Wm Ayers father was CEO. HMM. Obama worked for the Education Leadership Board in Chicago with Ayer's brother and father. Dorhn and Ayers held a fundraiser in their home in Hyde Park to introduce Obama when he first ran for office.

Ayers lives off the public dollar as a University of Illinois Professor (can you imagine THIS guy teaching your children his anti-American crap? WOW! Ayers profits from the very government he has railed against for over 40 years, the very government he has called to overthrow. Ayers has lives off his wealthy family while calling for "young people to kill their rich parents, capitalist pigs". He's a total hypocrite.

Dorhn is a law professor (she can't get a license to practice law because of her past crimes and jail time) at Northwestern Law School Family Law Center. Can you believe that? I now think MUCH less of Northwestern. Parents, students and alums take note.

Both Ayers and Dorhn are apparently still unrepentent for the terrorist acts, only wishing "they had done more".

Ayers and Dorhn should be in prison, at the very least they should be shunned by society, not rewarded. They should NOT be considered "respected members of society". They are NOT worthy.

Why does Obama hang with THESE people?

*VOTE SMART! VOTE PATRIOTIC! VOTE HILLARY CLINTON!

If the Dems fail to nominate Hillary, vote McCain in NOvember. Country first, party second.

PEACE!

Look how FirstRead frames this: Hillary on ABC.
There are 4 or 5 articles about the Clintons. and not one has a headline that is controversial - all are neutral to supportive.

Where's is he balance with Barack?

Hillary said - Obliterate Iran, that's diplomatic, speak softly and carry a big stick.

gas tax questioned by every economist and you have how it could be a good thing?

What is up with you folks at FirstRead.
I'm typically a fan and avid reader of FirstRead.
I don't get it.

Isn't Senator Clinton talking about a hypothetical situation? Didn't she assail Senator Obama during a debate for talking hypothetically on foreign policy? Why isn’t anybody in the press asking her about that? This is the same ridiculous Washington say anything, do anything to win politics that we need to get rid of.
FIVE STORIES ON CLINTON AND NOT ONE ON OBAMA--------YOU ARE A JOKE AND THAT IS A KIND WORD......OH, SOME BAD NEWS , OBAMA IS UP IN THE GALLUP POLL 49-45 OVER YOUR 'FILLY'  EVEN AFTER ALL YOUR BEATING UP ON HIM,  MAYBE THAT IS THE REAL STORY IF YOU WERE REPORTERS ,
YOU WOULD ASK WHY AFTER 7 WEEKS OF ALL THIS BEATING UP ON OBAMA, WHY CANT YOUR  FILLY CLOSE THE DEAL ? WHY ISNT SHE TWENTY POINTS AHEAD OF A JUNIOR SENATOR FROM ILLINOIS?
Hey, so everyone keeps describing Hillary as seven points ahead in Indiana, but the latest Zogby poll has Obama up by two.

How come no one's inspecting the polls more closely? Over at Swingstateofmind.com, the last pollster who predicted a 7-point lead has both admitted that his poll is inaccurate (because of Indiana's ban on robocalls) and that the president of his company is partisan McCain funder.

http://swingstateofmind.com/?p=56
The whole idea of this 'staged' towh hall meeting with served-up softballs turned me off and I turned my TV off.

How anyone can even begin to consider a candidate so lacking in credibility is beyond me at this point.
Obliterating Iran would also obliterate those “rational” Iranian people who are at odds with their government. “

Hillary spouts words with no thought behind them.  Whatever sounds good at the moment.
Wow an interview from a former employee.  That must have been real objective and hard-hitting.  Or not.
George an "objective journalist" ?  Excuse me, this just isn't so.  Did he ask her why she doesn't wear a flag pin?  Did he ask her about the Weathermen that Bill pardoned?  Did he ask her about her controversial preacher in her prayer group?  Did he ask her about manufacture plants closed so that work could be sent to China?  NO, nothing objective about it.
James and Kate

So, you are against terrorists, right?  Would you care to comment on Bill Clinton pardoning terrorists on the last day of his administration?

"there's no doubt they talk about it".....

-Hillary

Like Bill's, "I did not have sex with that woman", and Hillary's, ..."as far as I know'..., this is Hillary in the Clinton's element. Manipulative, duplicitous, and completly incapable of taking the high road.

Where are Barack's comments that he made on Meet The Press today?

By the way, Clinton supporters, Russert questioned him for 20 minutes on Wright!

I don't care who you are, that ain't softball.

Indiana , and NC, weigh in on the side of decency on Tuesday.
I watched the full town hall on "This Week" and felt as if Hillary felt the need to dominate George and any follow-up.  Her answers about the gas tax holiday just show that she personally feels that the voters are stupid and that she's knows what is best for everyone.  I would expect to hear this type of response from someone that is throwing the kitchen sink but drops a big chunk of it on their own foot.

This is the type of presidential garbage that we have put up with for decades.  We need a president that knows that no "stump speech" solution will be viable unless congress and the american people can be convinced to support the legislation.  Members of Congress are interested in getting reelected by doing the right thing for their constituents, not pandering to them and being revealed as a fraud.

This is exactly why HRC's approach to the presidency will be to propose her solutions and then destroy anyone, or threaten to destroy anyone, who does not support her agenda.  That will be more of the same, more of what has gotten us into the situation that we are in now with threatened Social Security, Medicare, foreign policy, and our economic challenges with members on both "sides" calling some of these things, that REALLY DO MATTER, third rail issues while ignoring their responsibility to work TOGETHER to do what is right for America, not their electability or their argument to the superdelegates about white working class voters.  I'm not stupid and don't like to be treated as such.
Where is the coverage for Obama's great interview with Tim Russart, your own affiliate with Meet the Press?  Why is MSNBC slanting their coverage to Clinton's ABC appearance, and any news that may benefit her(today's First Read posts include all pro Clinton commentary), instead of a foucusing on the issues at hand ie a useless gas tax holiday, McCain's recent gaffe on the war for oil, or Clinton's use of of the word "obliterate" in reference to Iran.  Is that not more newsworthy than Americans being bitter or another day in the discussion of Wright which we are so tired of listening to?  Please make an effort toward fair and unbiased reporting and cover all sides to allow the upcoming voters to make up their mind based on fact not your continued bias.
where is the evidence that she opposed Nafta. Her first lady papers show that she attended several functions to rally support for her husbands Nafta bill. We are supposed to belive that every good thing that happened in the Clinton Whitehouse she had a hand in, Yet she tries to distance herself from things that went wrong. Hillary can't have it both ways, she never opposed Nafta until she saw that it became a politcal liabilty.
Hillary also voted for war in Iraq and never opposed the war until she saw that it too became a politcal liability. Whatever you think about Obama at least he says something and sticks too it. At least he seems real and not another phoney pandering politican.
Just like this whole gas tax thing, at least Obama is telling it like it is. He isn't pandering for votes throwing pennies at the voters and making promises that he has no intention of keeping. Both Hillary and Mccain no very well that the money that federal gas taxes bring in, pay for the repair of our roads and bridges. Remember Minnieapolis last year. We can not affoard to continue to neglect our infustructure and expect our roads and bridges to hold up. Not only that but the construction industry depends upon the jobs created to make repairs to roads and bridges. What Hillary and Mccain will do is to hurt not only our infustructure but also our constuction workers and their families. Just as in the case with the war in Iraq Hillary and Mccain are playing to popular sentiment instead of what is best for the American people. Thats typical of Washignton style politics. On Tuesday vote for a real change. Vote for Barack Obama!
Hillary is a LEGEND IN HER OWN MIND AND A BULLY.  WE DON'T NEED THIS CRAP IN THE WHITEHOUSE; if you vote for Hillary, you better believe that house will go republican and you can only blame yourselves.  About Iran..it's already causing a stir and I am seriously concerned for my family and my children; besides her wanting to kill innocents who have nothing to do with what their government is doing.  When are you people going to see her for what she really is? She does not care about you and your families.  I will pay the extra for gas if I have to; but I do not want this wacko woman in the whitehouse for sure. Be a concerned American; worry about the next generation of voters which are your children, if you want the best for your generations, vote Obama....don't waste our vote on someone who appears, in her speeches, to be a pandering, blithering idiot who thinks most of americans are stupid and will listen to her drivel.
Again, Hillary displays why she is NOT the best choice for POTUS. Forever the bully, do as I say or I will blast you to pieces. It is her way or the highway, literally: what do ALL the economists know about the 'gas tax holiday' proposal that I don't know. It is my decision and I will do what I want PERIOD regardless of the consequences. And hasn't HRC been a member of the Senate for those same 7 years that President Bush was in office??? How come she wasn't standing up for the blue-collar worker during that time fighting the almight oil companies? Why now?? Why wasn't she working on, discussing, and implementing changes to the health care industry?? Why now??? Why hasn't she been the champion of stopping the flow of American jobs overseas??? Why now???

What has changed??? Americans have been in the same plight for several years. Why now, Hillary??? Where has your voice and your 'fight' been for the last 7 years??? You have been unquestionably silent and in repose.

Obama may be the newcomer, the new kid on the block, but God Bless him for standing up NOW and trying to get things done!! He's not sitting around while more of our jobs get shipped overseas! He's not sitting around while we lose our homes and the oil companies rake in millions in profits!! He's not sitting around while health care costs sore and millions of Americans can't get or afford the treatments they need!! I'll take the young guy with the nerve and skill to do something about these now while they are happening!! Not 7 years from now, biding his time until things are so bad people will HAVE to vote for me because of my husband!! NO......I'll take the man who has the courage to step out with all odds AGAINST him whose only real passion and purpose is to help me NOW, while I am truly suffering and will try hard to do something about it. Not now because it is politically convenient for himself, but because all Americans need to get back their dignity; get back their will to dream; their right to succeed; their ability to bring about their own change. I want the guy who went up against a formidable opponent, knowing how difficult and perilous this journey would be, but took on the task because AMERICA could not wait another moment for CHANGE!!

I don't want a candidate who will do it FOR ME!!  I want a candidate who will ask me to HELP bring about my own success; my own American Dream!! I am ultimately responsible for my decisions and it is my responsibilty to change things if I do not like how things are going. I want "WE" not "I"!!

My vote is for Barack Obama!!
“I'll tell you what -- I'm not going to put my lot in with economists"

Hmmm...this type of talk sounds familiar...didn't George W. Bush use this same justification for implementing a number of policies that have contributed to the downward spiral of this coun try.

First off, I am NOT a supporter of GWB, but at least GWB being the idiot he is, believed the crap he was touting.  It is scary that HRC knows exactly the uselessness of what she is proposing but is standing by it for her own self interests.  The magnitude of this is huge!
There are so many points to make in this article:

1.  When Hillary was asked about her strong language on Iran, she replied, “Why would I have any regrets?”  Wrong answer Hillary.  No regrets, when you offend another country?  That's not a favorable sign on what may take place in the future.

2.  When George asks about the gas tax relief and the fact that there are no economists that have come out to endorse this plan, Hillary responds by saying, "I'm not going to put my lot in with economists."  Another wrong answer Hilary.  We should just trust you blindly?  Sorry, but that's not going to happen.

3.  This last point is somewhat amusing because it shows how Hillary has George Stephanopoulos in her back pocket when she says, “I'm talking about him in his previous life, before he was an objective journalist....”  Wrong again Hillary.

We can do so much better.  Obama '08
This is so funny, watching all this, listening
to all the chirping crickets, all meaningless...

If Hillary winds up winning more delegates than
Obama, elected and Super combined, she wins.

If she doesn't, she loses.

Those are the DNC rules, and there is NO other way
this will be decided, no matter how many spin cycles
The Clintons run it through.

Period...
I don't see her parallel here.  George Bush's policies of the last 7 years were equally reviled by the majority of "elite" experts as well.  Her approach of "to heck with what those silly folk with their fancy book learnin'" is precisely the thinking (or lack thereof) that got Bush in such hot water.  This is the same formula for disaster that has yielded our current nigh-impeachable administration.

How on Earth is she planning to run against McCain on a "he's just like Bush" argument, if she herself is pandering herself into his mold?

We need a candidate who is nothing like Bush, and you all know it, America!  Please, Indiana and NC, do the right thing here, pick Obama!
Yea thats going to help us around the world. Threaten other coutries with obliteration. I swear it sounds like Bush is running for a 3rd term.

Also, i like how nothing has been reported on Barack's bounceback in the polls. Most headlines still say Hillary catching up.
To James and Kate the so called patriots, give me a break since when does it make you a patriot to lie to the American people the way Bill Clinton did during the whole Monica Lewinsky affair. He looked straight in the camera and lied.
His wife is no better, She lies about being under sniper fire she lied about her daughter being near ground zero when the attacks happened on 911.( she was home in bed). Now she continues to lie about her support for Nafta. Hillary's own first lady papers show she attended several meetings to line up support for Nafta and just like in all of these other instances she tells a big lie when she now says she opposed Nafta all along! Hillary is full of it!
There was nothing patriotic about Hillary voting to send innocent young people to war, whithout even reading the intelligence reports to me that's unAmerican! How dare you tell people that a vote for Obama is not patriotoctic! Who are you to question the patriotism of any other American. Your not true Democrats your Karl Rove style Republicans who prey on the fears of others. This is why I can never and will never support Hillary as long as Obama is in the race. Unlike you, I am a true Democrat so as much as I would hate it I would support her if she wins. But jackasses like you who claim to be Democrats need to stay in the Republican party because 'we ( Democrats ) don't need you!  I hope Obama mops the floor with Hillary so it will put an end to idiots like you running around questioning the patriotism of any other American!   go OBAMA!
So Hillary doesn't want to listen to the economists about the economy?

Good plan.
Is there any real doubt that Clinton is correct in her warningto Iran?  If Iran attacked Israel with a nuke of any size is there any doubt that Iran would be devestated?

The thing that Obama never says is just what he would do and from the posts here I would suggest that there are many in the Obama camp that don't want him to do anything to protect Israel.  Am I correct?  Do Obama supporters want to hedge on the issue of America's support of Israel?

I really feel sorry for the Clinton supporters that beieve her. I really really fee sorry for them!!!!

Countdown til the nomination...Only 277 more total delegates and it's OVER

Obama 08
That Clinton supporters on this forum (and most any forum) can only paraphrase and/or reiterate Hillary's own arguments AGAINST her opponent, rather than provide intelligent, thoughtful argument FOR any idea she claims to promote  continues to reinforce my conviction that America needs a change in Washington. I hope the superdelegates and folks in the upcoming primaries are taking note...
ONCE AGAIN... the word "elite" is substituted for "intelligent" or "smart".  I just want to know when being intelligent or smart was a negative trait for a President to have?  I would hope that the President of the United States is thoughtful, thinks things through to the end BEFORE acting.

Please America...don't be "Dumbed Down" by the distractions.  We're smarter than that.
Again, Hillary displays why she is NOT the best choice for POTUS. Forever the bully, do as I say or I will blast you to pieces. Barack Obama for President!!
"Hillary has Solutions. Obama has rhetoric.  I'll take solutions any day of the week."

Excuse me. Obama has honesty and depth of principle. Clinton has spin and I'll say anything to get elected.

She is more disappointing more and more every day.
I still believe that Hillary's campaign is out of gas, and full of ----.

Perhaps the Kentucky Derby was a good omen for Barack:

Big Brown Wins................Fillary euthanized.

I have followed MSNBC for most of the year, however, I am currently of the opinion that everyone except Chuck Todd is biased toward Clinton.  Hopefully I won't have to switch my news source.
George Stephanopolous should have brought a rope to tie her to the chair.  She would not stay seated during the interview, using some lame excuse about not being able to see the audience even though they were seated at an angle, theater style...suffice it to say, she continued to stand even when the audience in question was on the TV in NC.

Whoever taught that woman manipulation through body language should be shot.

Otherwise, the interview was noteworthy only for Hillary Clinton's usual level of falsity and her continued insults to the voters' intelligence.  She is such a fake.
Unless I missed something her so called experience consists of:
1. Being the wife of a state governor.
2. Being the wife of a former US President.
3. Somehow getting elected to the US Senate.

Granted, the last two allowed her to travel around the world, at our expense, and maybe meet a few important people but where is this so called experience???
It is an elite opinion when it is from a respected economist? What is really wrong with this elitist woman who knows how to make millions and millions of dollars? Can't she learn to be upfront and SHUT UP rambling and propagandizing??
Clinton had George following her lead: stand up, sit, interrupt, talk over. She was assertive, commanding, and on message. All. the. time. Most mmemorably, she defended her gas tax proposal and "obliterate Iran" remark.

Obama followed Tim's lead, didn't interrupt and remained relatively stationary throughout. He was poised, deliberate and parsed his answers. He side-stepped the question about white voters, reconfirmed that Wright is a relevant issue in the race, and like Clinton, he stayed on message.

As I watched them, I thought: you'll govern the same way you run your campaign. You'll answer or avoid, defend or deny in the same way. Which of you is best equipped to lead for at least 4 years? Which of you is the least objectionable?
There is no way you can expect an unbiased interview of HRC by ABC, after the Philadelphia debacle.  I'm sorry, but that network is biased against Obama.  It's shown it once, and just for good measure it decided to show it again.
You (NBC) are not to be believed.  You are trying your best to influence the electorate with your subtle remarks, biases and agenda pushing.  It’s arrogant because you think people can’t see what you are doing.  You are wrong.  People with education see through your attempts to make it look like you’re just reporting news.  Granted, you are going to dupe some of those uneducated people like those who support Senator Clinton, but they are NOT going to decide this election at this point.  Superdelegates are and they belong to the educated group.  That’s why what you’re lowering yourselves in doing won’t work . Why do you think they continue to go to Senator Obama?

What you ARE doing is making yourselves increasingly irrelevant.  Because of your biases and agenda pushing, what you say is immediately attributed to your biases and agenda pushing so it’s discounted.  Instead of subtly attempting to manipulate the electorate toward your subjective opinion, you should be reporting facts OBJECTIVELY.  That’s where your credibility is, in objectiveness.  At least three people at MS(NBC) have such credibility: Tim Russert, Rachael Maddow, and Kieth Olbermann.  They are a credit to their profession and to journalism.  As for others including Chuck Todd, Joe Scarborough (sp?) and Pat Buchannon, you have reduced yourselves to simply biased opinionators with, what’s now, very limited credibility
GW, Vancouver, Canada,

One reason Hillary has had such a hard time is the media.  Obama was rammed down the throats of voters by the MSM and MSNBC was at the forefront. When the Wright issue broke, the Ayers issue, The "bittergate issue", then the media took another look.  Obama was never vetted and that is a crying shame.  I feel Obama, Michelle and Wright are in sync in how they view whites, black liberation and the whole nine yards.  Obama is now being vetted and it is about time.  Don't count the "filly" out.  Hillary has solutions and Obma has rhetoric.  I'll take solutions.
Does she have any idea how many innocent people she would kill, or know how many years it has been since Iran invaded anybody, compared to how many years it has been since Isreal and the USA has invaded anybody? We have to get our armed forces back, as of now and for 5 years, we cannot take Bagdad, and that has nothing to do with our great boys and girls in the trenches. This country needs to stop telling lies                                                   We all know who Wall Street and all of the media want in the White House, and it is not someone who will listen to the people.
“I’ll tell you – I’m not going to put my lot with economists, because I know if we get it right, if we actually did it right, if we had a president who used all the tools of the presidency, we would design it in such a way that it would be implemented effectively” This statement is so typical of Hillary’s attitude and is why her health insurance plan went nowhere in the 90’s. It’s do it her way or the highway!
Obama was the media favorite when it didn't seem like he had a snowball's chance in hell of winning. But now it seems like a reality and the "liberal" media really aren't ready for that. They will ride that filly to the glue factory before they give that man a fair shot at it. She can lie, cheat and steal if she wanted to they will still make it out be something decent.

If  Obama wins NC by anything less than 20% they'll make it out to be a loss unlike HRC's eeking out a less than 10% win in PA which they make seem like she totally shut him  out. The media for all their claims of being ready for change are really not. Look at the faces of the decision makers in the media? Their faces look more like Hillary's than Barack's and they're not ready to change that yet. They say they are they like to think they are but they're really not. They're all for those who look like Sen. Obama to be MVP in the NBA, NFL or MLB but NOT leader of the free world.

I know you three "not so wise men" won't publish this but maybe you'll read it and really reflect how small minded you still are.
Hillary has such a weak grasp on economics that she cannot understand what a terrible concept her gas-tax holiday would be; she can't keep her campaign afloat economically without loans; and she wants to manage our nation's economy?????  Good grief.
OH my gosh I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the interview of Hilary this morning by Good old George Stephanopoulos.  We've already established the interviewing skills he showed with Charlie Gibson during that interview with Obama.
COME ON PEOPLE WAKE UP!!!!!!George used to work for the Clintons and he is about as objective as Chelsea.  That wasn't an interview is was a joke.  You can tell whose pocket George is in.  And yes I am sick of the biased media and the huge differences in the way they treat Cinton and Obama.  She whines a little and ever since then you are treating her with kid gloves.  Why don't you let Obama supporters interview Hilary with no prewritten questions?  She wouldn't stand a chance.
A vote for her is a vote to put a liar in the White House.  Her experience in the White House doesn't count for anything..she didn't even know what was going on in the next room.  She jumps on the gas tax holiday issue just cause McCain suggested it and her own people admit that it's a bad idea.  She's a snake.  Obama is the only candidate that speaks the truth.  He is the only one who will change Washington and unite the people.  He doesn't have a hot head (like McCain) or a big mouth (like Hilary)Obama is a once in a lifetime candidate.
Hillary is taking advantage of the lack of education among white, blue-collar voters, and they are eating it up. They can't understand policy, but they can be swayed by beers, guns and fake gas holidays.

Anything to get votes, I guess.

Signed,
An elitist for Obama
