Posted: Wednesday, May 07, 2008 2:59 PM by Domenico Montanaro

From NBC's Domenico Montanaro
The Obama campaign annoucned three superdelegates -- Jeanette Council (NC); Jerry Meek (NC) and Inola Henry (CA) -- have pledged support. AP is reporting one more, a switch from Clinton in Virginia, Jennifer McClellan. (We're working to confirm that and will update.)

The Delegate Counts:
PLEDGED: Obama 1,588-1,422
SUPERDELEGATES: Clinton 273.5-259
OVERALL: 1,847-1.695.5

* Obama is 178 from the Magic Number of 2,025.
* There are 262.5 undeclared superdelegates, including about 50 who are not yet named and will be added on at state conventions or the like.

The light switch on the party wall

(turn off the lights the party's oveeerrrrrrrrrrrr)
Wonderful, now we can place our focus where it should be, Mc Cain.  Aparently he has less money than Hillary????  Newt has sent a call to the GOP to get it together.  Yet, Mc Cain still do not have support from the base.  November should not be too difficult.
It was a nice run hillary.. too bad your ass got SAAAAACKED. Obama 08!
Drip, drip, drip, the kettle is filling up.
They just keep rolling in...
Could someone please ask Mrs. Clinton how if she is so concerned about the citizens of the States yet to vote in the primaries/caucuses (their voices must be heard etc ad nauseum) why is she going to rely on the UNELECTED super delegates to take the nomination away from Mr. Obama? Or is she playing a cynical game, trying to convince the voters in the States yet to vote that they have a say in the nomination all the while working a backroom deal essentially stealing the nomination by whatever nefarious means she can conjure up?
trickle, trickle ... here come the superdelegates!

clinton supporters, please don't be upset that about obama's eventual nomination. he absolutely is the real deal, and we need to join together to defeat mccain in november!

obama supporters, let's not gloat. let's be as classy as our guy has been.

obama '08! democrats '08 and '12!
way to spellcheck
Recognizing that there are no hard-set rules for the Superdelegates to follow, (other than the will of the people), what practical purpose does it serve for Shuler to endorse Clinton at this point?  Is that a "micro" viewpoint as opposed to "macro"?
Clinton has the right to continue her campaign, but I believe it is time for the democratic party to unify.

Statements that Obama can not win the GE are incorrect, defeatist, and counterproductive.  Obama has an amazing energetic campaign, a true vision for change, vast fund raising capabilities that empower small donors, youth, eloquence, charisma, popularity with independents, a record of integrity, not to mention intelligent policy stances, etc.

Likewise, I believe gloating and negative statements directed at Clinton and her supporters are not what we need.  It is time we take stock of our priorities and begin to come together.

Clinton should be considered as a vice presidential option.  Her supporters have earned that much for her.  In that position she can continue to fight for them, a promise she has made often.  I encourage her supporters to reach out to her and guide her into making the right decision.  She should listen to you.

We can not afford four more years of GOP policy.  McCain appears to be a decent man, but he no longer seems to know who he is, and his policies will be destructive.  I believe that the American people know this.

Obama is the one to lead us.
Thank you, Jeanette, Jerry, and Inola.  Thank you for joining millions of Americans working for an even better America.  Yes we can.  Yes we will.
Thanks Meek, Council and Henry. Sen. Obama and his supporters are grateful for your courage to come aboard. McClellan...hopefully this will include you too.
The Clinton-to-Obama defections will continue until Oregon votes and the nomination is won. Who wants to be the last one to get on the train before it leaves the station? Or worse, miss it completely.
MEMO:MICHIGAN SUPERDELEGATES, You know who you are...Jim,Debbie,and Jenifer you did everything you could to throw this election in Michigan to HRC don't even think about messing with the rules commitee or the convention. One of you still has to win her next election, you may have some real competition on your hands this time.
