Clinton WV ad; McCain's second in IA

From NBC’s Domenico Montanaro
Clinton is up with an ad in West Virginia in addition to the one in Oregon we reported on yesterday. It’s entitled “Level” and is an appeal to working-class voters. Clinton is heavily favored to win in West Virginia and Kentucky where the demographics favor her because of the large number of white working-class voters.

McCain is also up with an ad, his second in the battleground state of Iowa...

Script for "Accountable":
JOHN MCCAIN: The great goal is to get the American economy running at full strength again -- creating the opportunities Americans expect and the jobs Americans need.

ANNCR: As president, John McCain will make taxes simpler, fairer; Energy cleaner, cheaper; Health care portable and affordable; Corporate CEOs accountable; Mortgage debt restructured; Big ideas for serious problems, John McCain.

MCCAIN: I'm John McCain and I approve this message.

Why do you Obama folks play the race card every chance you get.
Why do you not understand that supporters of Hillary do not "HATE" Omama.
We are in fact really angry at the DNC, first they screw 2 states from being part of the primary.  Then they shove a brand new inexperienced 143 day senator down our throats as the greatest thing since sliced bread.  He is not, period!
It is time for all who are totally fed up with the DNC to go to your town or city hall and change to an independent. We can watch their heads spin.  We have little power or control on this disaster they have caused.  We can of course opt out of the democratic party.  I will give no more money and no support to any Dem except HIllary.
People show your power, give them nothing!
To be fair , why don't you also show Obama's ad?
Because to me, you are doing Clinton a favour by giving her free publicity for her ad. Because she is low on cash !

Think about it !
By "portable" does he mean that it too can go to China under his presidency as everything else did under Bush.
I am who ever you want your President to be.
Hillary please comment on..Bosnia, NAFTA, Boxers or Briefs..

We're informed voters and we approve this answer....
think the argument that Obama cannot beat McCain the funniest joke I've ever heard. There are many reasons that all the pundits, media & Hillary Clinton herself are overlooking. For starters, remember back when the primaries took place the democrat registrants doubled & sometimes tripled the GOP's registrants in almost every state.Even if Obama lost half of Hillary's supporters(which consisted some of the Rush Limbaugh effect), Obama would still be challenging for McCain to overcome. Also I seriously doubt by the fall, the numbers that defect would be even close to the numbers now while tensions are so high.Secondly McCain's base support is amonng older white Americans.I think Obama can carry the majority of young/middle age white votes, black vote, & probable even over half the latina vote. Not to mention he will be very competitive with the other minorities such as indians, arabs,& other immigrants because of his peaceful regards to other nations.Age will also play more of an important role once the debates take place.Once you have a stout vibrant Obama at the podium going toe to toe with his GOP rival, it will make McCain look febble, old, & stagnant.A picture can be worth a thousand words.Lastly, we all know John McCain isn't the best on the debating front.Everytime he opens his mouth he seems to says something stupid to eliminate one core group at a time.Prime example, his 100 years of war eliminated the young voters since they are more nuanced in terms of thinking of other countries around the world.Next, McCain is working on killing the women vote invoking judges that threaten Roe vs Wade. Then to top it off he's killing off the working class supporting Nafta.Believe me Obama has been taking notes, & you best believe Obama will be hitting those talking points one after another.Meanwhile John McCain slow on his feet will probably add one gaffe after another to the list.I don't think americans should put all their eggs in the McBush basket.I think Obama will be happy to have this debate with John McCain!
Hillary Clinton can be so liberal that she is the favorite target of Richard Mellon Scaife and the "vast right wing conspiracy." She can also be so conservative that she conspires with the same Scaife and "right wing conspiracy" to destroy the "black candidate" because, as she would put it, white voters are more important.

This calculated centrist approach for personal political expedience can be profitable, as it was for her husband, the former president. It can also be costly. We are seeing an example of the devastation the grasping and clinging to personal political power can impose on a nation's citizens, and it is called Myanmar (Burma).

It can also be devastating to the politician in question, once that politician has lost all disguise for a willingness to sacrafice the people for personal political gain, all disguise for an absence of integrity, all disguise for a willingness to prostitute political positions.

Hillary Clinton has one thing left to save - herself. I sincerely hope she pulls it off.
Hillary, and McCain brokered a deal to save money on their ads. They split the cost of every thing down, the middle. They used the same stock footage, and script writer, with a tweak here, and there.

Hillary got the rent-o-babies, and McCain got to play producer/director thinking it would be good practice for the Presidency.

Cindy got to shop, paying the 59.99 bill, but had to give Clinton a tab for her share, with a 21% interest rate, because Hillary's campaign has been in poverty-ville, since Obama cash-baited her into the poor house in Pa.
Hillary "Janus" Clinton should come up with an Ad that clearly states her goals.  I need to have the WHITE working class voters  renounce Sen. Obama because no African American can win the general election.  She can link in her other scare ad's like the on with Bin Laden and the 3 .am ad.  In this way she can finally complete the 360 degree turn back to the "Goldwater" girl she started in life as and become the new Sourthern strategy Dixicrat of old.  By this strategy she can completely alienate the African American voters who spurned her and label everyone else as non working Elitists. Then with the dramatic win in Puerto Rico and the sitting of the Fl and MI delegation( where she was the only candidate on the ballot running) she can claim the popular and Electoral map victory.  Then in November after the Democrats are trounced by John McCain she can blame the Elitist voters and " liberal attack" press who cost her the election. Or the Super delegates can approve the democratic selction of Obama and have a fighting chance in November.  As a voter who is viewed by Hillary as Elitist opts for the second option.  I think this option Thomas Jefferson/ Andrew Jackson would approved of.

Hillary gave Obama's talking points - as usual.
She gave his whole speech the night of the Indiana Jefferson Jackson Dinner.
As if the DLC and Clinton aren't funded by corporate special interests.
Hillary's base is working class Americans and she has taken a lot of flack about answering a questions about that. Why is it so wrong for her to state her base??  MSM get off her back!!!!

MSM if  you have time on your hands, trying vetting Obama. Where is his Granny???  Is she alive or is she still fuming from being thrown under the bus???  Did Obama think he could disc Wright and he wouldn't fight back?

We know next to nothing about Obama and what we know should nOT convince anyone that he is capable, qualified, vetted enough to be president.

I feel storngly that Obama must not be POTUS.  I see him as a threat to America as we know it.

All aboard!!!  Get on the Obama "change train" to nowhere.  No thanks!!!  I can't afford the price of the ticket and I am not talking money here.

I support Hillary and I will NEVER vote for Obama.
Wise up folks.

The talking heads at MSNBC (Russert in particular and shame on him) have declared Obama the winner. He hasn't won yet.  I hope and pray a ton of dirt falls on his head between now and June.
Consider this, please. How will Hillary's insulting characiture of the good people of West Virginia, fall on their ears? Just how will it play out?

How many of them will her words offend? Will it deflate some of them so that they lose interest in voting on Tuesday? Will she actually drive some to Obama? As ever with Hillary, there is going to be some negative blowback against her in the polls. If nothing else, we have seen through this primary how for her, at this time in her life, she is under Divine Judgment. What goes around, comes around on her so fast, that the rest of us barely have time to run, and take cover before the lightning strikes!

I guess Obama isn't running any ads , since all you feature is the White Vote lady.  It is laughable that she uses the math of the electoral college. Maybe you should tell her that votes in the primaries and the general election are quite different.
2 crappy ads.
Why is she even running ads??? She is TOAST
What a joke that panderer McCain thinks he's ever been accountable for his many past disgressions.  He will have to explain why he constantly surrounds himself with lobbyists, like the clown he's got managing the RNC convention who's worked as a lobbyist for the disgusting Myanmar junta.  McCain keeps some rather creepy lobbyist company and we don't can't afford to be sold out to the lobbyists any longer.

Go Obama 08/12!
Wow.... not one word on the gas tax again.... ever...

She was just here in Oregon and no mention of gas tax like she pandered in IN and NC,Just as I told you ....

she has not mentioned it again...

In Oregon it was health care, and renewable energy...

I always say as soon as she leaves the state she is campaigning in she will forget all about you and move on...
That is totally what happens...........
Hey HB in Boston---I agree with you completely. The democratic party has become a disaster, but then again
it continues to show us why they lose elections. Gore,
Kerry, and most likely now Obama. Party leaders claim to be for the people--but they have become self-rightous looking out only for themselves at the top. They get paid, no matter what---just shameful!!!. I also agree with you on Obama-----143 day senator from
Illinois--no international nor economical experience, questionale relationships, a wife who is "finally" proud to be an American---and the list goes on. If they think we are going to swallow this one---they are mistaken. I will exercise my right---not to vote this Nov if Obama is the nominee, and I'll wait until 2012 to see if the scent has changed. Smells pretty bad now!!!!!
Only one black person in the whole add. No minorities.
America is better than this. It is a country that welcomes everyone no matter color, gender or title. It is time to stop this racial kind of adds.
