Obama picked up the endorsement of Arizona congressman Harry Mitchell. Mitchell is the fifth superdelegate Obama has picked up today. Clinton today gained one, but lost two for a net of negative one.

The NBC NEWS delegate counts:
PLEDGED: Obama 1,590, Clinton 1,426
SUPERS: Clinton 276.5, Obama 274
TOTAL: Obama 1,864, Clinton 1,702.5

2. Webster Hubbell
3. Tony Rodham
4. Hugh Rodham
5. Roger Clinton
Let it be.
I think they are trying to make it clear to Bill and Hillary that their negative campaigning is not acceptable. Frankly, I doubt if they'll care. Nothing seems to embarrass either of them and the depth to which they'll stoop in this hopeless case seem limitless.
I appreciated your daily update on delegates, but you are off the mark.
AP, New York Times, and Politico.com now have Obama ahead of Clinton on superdelegates. The AP confirms each of their count.

Please update with the others.  For now I will use AP count.  Thanks.
CNN is showing Clinton at 271 SD's.  The numbers are all over the place.  Someone needs to do an objective, official count.
Way to go Obama, keep them rolling in.
I wonder if Bill Clinton has internet access at the Podunkville, WV Motel 6 tonight to read your scorecard.

I guess Hillary's conference call to keep the superdelegates in line paid off.
Domenico, you are the MAN...  Usually this web site is dead on the weekends...  Only 3 to go, and MSN will be finally reporting Obama in front, as the other networks have done...

America, prepare for a new day...  The old politics will finally be 'just a bad memory'. We can get real problems solved and move together in the right direction.  What a beautiful, rainy day...  Who needs the sun with news like this!
My guess is that Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday are going to be more of the same when it comes to superdelegates pledging to Obama.

If Clinton wins West Virginia by a 40 point margin, she will net about 12 pledged delegates with Clinton getting 20 to Obamas 8.  But, her net of 12 delegates will be negated by superdelegate pledges during Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday that will go to Obama.

The Obama campaign will probably do this to prevent Clinton from getting any kind of momentum from her win in West Virgina.

If I were part of the Obama campaign, I would do the same.

Going foward to May 20th and based on the current polls in Kentucky and Oregan, Obama will get another 48 pledged delegates bringing his overll total to 1,920.

He will then need only 105 delegates to wrap up the nomination.

The Obama campaign has already and openly said that by May 20th they will have the necessary delegates (pledged and SD) to claim the nomination.

Do they have a trick up their sleeves?  Do they already have those 105 SD and are just holding them, announcing them slowly between now and May 20th?

My guess is that they do and they will announce them slowly.
GO GO GO Obama!!!! YEAH!!!!  President Obama!!!!!!!
Sen. Clinton, please know that you have true, patiotic supporters.  I am so enraged with the media coverage of this election that at times, I have waned from any daily updates of current events.  It is no longer in anyone's hands except the mighty Father.  Regardless of the outcome, I will be voting for the Democratic candidate.  However, my prayers are with you and I hope that you will continue the mighty fight.  Women have had to endure so, so much.  My great-grandmother, who was in my life for 11 years, endured a time when women worked twice as hard as men for 1/3 of men's pay. I am extremely proud that our country came to the conclusion that slavery was wrong, but I am equally, if not more proud ,that women were finally given a voice in the suffurage movement. Women have had to withstand some of the most horrific circumstances of any person on earth.  We are so proud of Hillary, and I hope the rest of you voters can understand this in some way.  So many woman are dissapointed and devastated that it appears we will not be able to see a woman as President of this nation in our lifetime.  I still hold true to this dream one day.

I still believe that sexism is more covert and prevelant than racism, although both are travesties that need to be brought to an end.  Keep up the good fight great ladies, and I hope to see many of you taking great strides to restore our great country!!  Sen. Obama, please do not be a fool and take our country on a horrendous future.  I beg of you to be the man that you claim to be.  Please do not introduce further division into our nation.  Please do not be a friend of the Muslim terrorist.  I pray that you are a good Christian man and are concerned about the welfare of all US citizens.  My family is very scared of the unknown and the rumors that surround you.  We have five grandchildren whose lives and futures are at stake, I want to trust you with their futures, but I am so unsure and frightened by this idea.  Rev. Wright's views scares us to death!! Please, be a good man Sen. Obama. The reigns appear to be in your hands as our nominee, and you would be an extremely wise man to extend your hand and offer Sen. Clinton the position of VP if you do become the nominee. She is a wife, mother and extremely intelligent woman capable of extraordinary leadership.  Give her this chance.

drip, drip, drip, pour.....
Keep going supers!!! Clarity is coming, but we're not quite there yet! We're all wondering just when in the world Hillary is staying in for; we all know she can add.
IT FEELS AS THOUGH THE DEM PARTY HAS HIT THE LOTTO. GO SUPER DELEGATES GO DO YOUR THING BRING THING TO AN END.WE HAVE WORK TO DO DEFEATING MCSAME
YES-WE-CAN !!!!! THIS IS IT !

We need three more brave SuperDs to stand up for change, willing to face the heat of the Clinton-Hate-Machine!

Stand by the people and we will stand by you !

OBAMA'08
Your total for Obama is wrong if you add the pledged plus super together.
I was certain there was not going to be the 'wave' of Superdelegates many spoke of.  I am a bit disturbed over Hillary's campaigning late in the week, and her continued negative issues with Obama.  Understandably, Hillary is sticking with process, because she is a fighter, but I think her intentions go beyond the 'fighter image.'  I beileve she out to ruin the chances of Obama to win in November, and in fact McCain is a 1 term president-perhaps due to age?

I am starting to get the perception that the democratic DNC leaders are going to give this nomination to Hillary, which is completely un-democratic!  If the situation were switched, the whining from the clinton campaign would be two-fold that obama needs to get out of the race, he's hurting the party.  The push would have been immense.

As the days go by, my respect for the Clintons minimizes--as it did in the 90's with Bill's issues!  I think she should drop out at this point.

The clinton campaign is now nothing but more tomhillary; it's time to unite behind the nominee.
Drip, Drip 160 to go! 32 more superdelegate to finish race.
way to go Congresman Mitchell!!!
Hillary, girlfriend, Get out while you still have your dignity... Oh my that was lost long time ago...
CONGRATULATIONS BARACK!! WE LOVE YOU !! WILL YOU NOW GET OUT HILLARY?
Dear Hilly,

Hilly baby!!! The only ham in my burger, the only ketchup for my fries, the only sugar in my tea. How have you been? Sure, it has not been that easy the past few days. Sorry about the bee sting, i know you did your best taking care of it. I miss you so much. You know how you make me laugh with your laughing Hyena effect. No woman can ever come between us apart from that monica girl. She was sweet though but not like you. Chelsea also miss you. She miss her mummy. Please come back home. So many people are complaining that you never back down. Some even said you have a cockroach spirit but all the same you are still the best. So should i send a cab to pick you up since i was told that you have to sell your car to pay the loan. Tell me Hill-girl, when you are coming home

Much Love form,
Billy Man
CONGRATULATIONS BARACK!! WE LOVE YOU !! WILL YOU NOW GET OUT HILLARY?
Pretty soon Clinton is going to have to proclaim the lead among fictional characters and the dead.  At least those metrics cannot be challenged mathematically.
I am a latina voter and many of my friends who supported Clinton are now for Obama. Whoever is pushing the argument that latinos will vote republican if Clinton is not nominated doesn't know the hispanic population. They WILL NEVER vote republican for many many reasons. Also, Bill Richardson could get involved in the general election campaign and garner the support of those who are for Clinton. The Jewish argument is also twisted. Most Jews will vote democratic no matter who the nominee is. The recent poll is around 65%-35%. So that argument is weak also. Blacks are the core of the party and we have them in our corner with Obama. Women, in general(democratic) will eventually vote for Obama unless they want Roe vs. Wade overturned since McCain plans to appoint right wing judges. The only problem may be the blue collar white men and if Obama has Jim Webb as VP, former republican,pro-gun and down to earth kind of guy, he will woo the working class men and he will win the presidency. He does not need Clinton on the ticket.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wasn't that interesting that Hillary "Republican" Clinton was campaigning in front of a mostly female crowd in WVA?  So where was all this touted white working male support at?  This daily flow of superdelegates to Obama just shows that the jig's almost up for her.  Time for her to stop wasting time, money and resources that could be better used against grumpy panderer McCain.

Go Obama 08/12!
Hey Chuck, Chris, and the rest of the crew, do you think Hillary will run as an independent? I just do not see why she would continue with this campaign. I do not think its likely but I just thought it was worth mentioning. What do you think?
It's all over Hillary. Everybody knows it, how about you?
Does anyone else detect a trend in the endorsements? People, a strong, fresh wind is blowing all across the land.
Thanks to Domenico for working overtime this weekend to keep us apprised of the everchanging superdelegate count.  It's going to be kind of sad when we're not getting to cheer each new SD addition to the winning team.

Go Obama 08/12!
Those negatives are adding down...AAAHAAAAHHHH..
SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEET....Baby....

Good luck, where ever your going Billary...
They just keep coming.  Why can't Hillarious see that it is over and the fat lady has sung.
I know you guys are careful with your numbers, but at least 3 other news outlets do not have Clinton's numbers so high. Can you list your discrepancies with another trusted source? Then it should be easy to confirm.

It just doesn't look good when your numbers are higher than AP numbers & its on the same site.
Please flip the order of the candidates listed as "SUPERS" in your delegate count tote columns.  Please be consistent in the order you've got each candidate listed in each row as that makes it much easier to visualize.

Go Obama 08/12!
Thank you Congressman Mitchell.  Thank you for supporting our future president.  Let us hope that we may start to unite the party.  United we stand for a kinder, gentler America!

The party's over, it's time to call it a day...
Do you mind explaining why everyone else shows Obama's count higher.  Not criticizing, just wondering how your criteria is different?
Hillary will lose more Supers this week than she
will pick up Delegates next Tuesday.  So VW doesn't
even matter in the delegate count!

So much for her so-called momentum!
one more of many to come , this one is special since its from mcsame's backyard
And MSNBC remains the only news outlet to not have Obama in the lead on superdelegates.
As Ted said...Change is a coming...

Ted is a prophetic politician again...

It's about time to move forward with this nomination.

Sitting on the side lines doesn't bode well for the team.

So let's begin the Party and Kick the Past behind.
Mend all the past into the HOPE of the FUTURE..

OBAMA'08

well not all of america as a lot of you have said is for obama dont forget all most half of us are for hillary he has only afew more thousand votes then she has and for us who are for her want to see her go to the end with this  after all its as much our country and right as it is yours so leave her along and if you dont want to see it turn your tvs or put down your papers and be quite we want to watch its our right and hers to finish this race and if obama cant unite the dems when its over that will be his falut after all he the one who is claiming to be the uniter so let him prove it if he cant that will prove he is not the leader we need
To quote the late, endearing Linda Ellerby, "And so it goes"....and it does.
Your calculations are slightly incorrect:

This is the CORRECT tally:

PLEDGED:
Leader: Obama  - 1594
Clinton- 1423

SUPERS:
Leader: Clinton - 276.5
Obama  - 275

TOTAL (SUPERS + DELEGATES):
Leader: Obama – 1869
Clinton- 1699.5

TOTAL DELEGATES LEFT TO CLINCH THE NOMINATION
Leader: Obama – 156 more needed to reach 2025
Clinton – 325.5 more needed to reach 2025

CONTESTS WON
Leader: Obama - 32
Clinton - 16

After hearing Hillary's comments in Oregon, all remaining superdelegates should declare for Barack ASAP.  She really is employing a 2012 strategy as many have suggested.  Don't worry Hillary- keep this up and you won't even be nominated for senator again.  I was starting to feel sorry for her until I heard this.
YOU'RE THE MAN!!! STAY ON TOP OF THOSE SUPERDELEGATES!!!
Go, Senator Obama!  Believe!  In your ability to bring about change, and in ours (the little people!)!

(To quote yourself!)

Jen
5 supers on a saturday?

everybody is looking for the flood, this trickle of Supers to Obama is like an slow, agonizing death for HRC.

I'm liking it
