From NBC's Mark Murray
Responding to today's earlier RNC research memo that listed several of Obama's misstatements and gaffes, the DNC has released its own list for McCain -- what it calls McCain's "Top 10 misstatements and outright deceptions."

1. McCain doesn't even know who is in charge in Iran.
2. Iraq/Iran, Sunni/Shia: McCain doesn't know the difference.
3. McCain still thinks Czechoslovakia (which split into two countries in 1993) exists.
4. McCain wrongly claimed that Baghdad was mostly normal.
5. McCain called Baghdad market safe.
6. McCain can't even remember how little he knows about the economy
7. McCain falsely claimed he never requested pork.
8. McCain falsely claimed that tax cuts increased government revenues.
9. McCain's claim to be untainted by special interest money is false.
10. McCain wrongly claimed he never supported amnesty.

In the end, very few people are going to remember these gaffes. What they are going to remember is how clear a difference there is between Obama and McCain.

The smart people will vote for Obama.

11.  McCain called his wife a see you next tuesday.
12.  McCain dumped his first wife after returning from POW camp, after having affair with Cindy.
13.  McCain leaves stains on chairs and blames the cat.
14.  McCain still thinks Saigon is the capital of Vietnam.
15.  McCain thinks Bushie is doing a heck of a job.
********************************************
HOW ABOUT THE GAFF LIST FOR OBAMA??

1. Small town, typical white voters!
2. Stated he did NOT know about Rev. Wright only to chnage his story three days later to "yes, I knew"
3. Stated that NO member of his campaign met with the Canadians on NAFTA only to change this story to "Yes, we met --but it was at thier request"?
4. Tony Resko's involvement stating that his involvement was a BIT MORE SUBSTANTIAL than what was originally reported !!

Yea... but you don't report that do you?
Leave him alone.......you know he's old.

Obama '08
Based on current polls ...

Senator Obama  290 electoral votes
Senator McCain 248 electoral votes

Since you only need 270 to win ... he wins.

It's time to join together to work towards electing a Democratic President with a workable Democratic majority in both the House and the Senate.

This time do something smart and vote for your wallet, vote for the economy, vote for the environment, vote for jobs.

Vote for the smartest candidate in the race, a real leader (and no that's not McCain -- not by a long shot)

Vote Democratic 2008 -- don't let the corporations and their Republican stooges win again.
Typical Democrats. Need to copy someone else
Superdelegates, please clear a path for the legitimate victor so he can contest the general election without Clinton's minions going bananas on him.
I love it!  Way to go democrats!  Republican rhetoric has met its match!  Stay on 'em.
This is getting ridiculous.
In politics, as in life, WHAT GOES AROUND, COMES AROUND.
Old man yells at cloud !!!
Mccain's biggest gaffe is thinking he can beat Obama.

If you like George Bush ………
             … You’ll LOVE John McCain

John McCain, more of the same

John McCain, Endless War

‘…Wide Net of Exaggeration…’
Did she mention ‘sniper fire’ ?
You can’t believe ANYTHING the Clintons say

‘…For days, Clinton has been grasping at almost anything to make her case to voters as the clock in the campaign winds down…’

Hillary is lying, as per usual
According to an earlier poll 62% found Hillary Clinton 'untrustworthy'
Wonder why ?

‘…Clinton Casts Wide Net of Exaggeration, Claims to Lead in “Every Poll”

From CBS News’ Fernando Suarez:

BILLINGS, MONT. -- During an evening rally in Montana’s largest city Tuesday night, Hillary Clinton explained to the crowd why she should be the Democratic Party’s nominee, but what ensued was a list of overstatements and exaggerations as she made her case. “You have to ask yourself, who is the stronger candidate? And based on every analysis, of every bit of research and every poll that has been taken and every state that a Democrat has to win, I am the stronger candidate against John McCain in the fall,” she said.

The problem is, there are a number of polls that show Clinton in a close race with John McCain, many within the margin of error, not including a few that show Barack Obama beating McCain by a larger margin than Clinton. The comment was intended to prove to voters that despite Obama’s popularity, she has what it takes to beat John McCain. Clinton said that voters have to ask themselves, “Who is the stronger candidate against John McCain? We have not gone through this exciting, unprecedented, historic election, only to lose,” she said.

For days, Clinton has been grasping at almost anything to make her case to voters as the clock in the campaign winds down. Most recently Clinton compared the plight of Florida and Michigan voters to the struggles of the early suffragists and likened the primaries of those states to the fraudulent election that took place in Zimbabwe….’

I agree, Politivine.  The first Obama-McCain debate will make it crystal clear who should be our next president.
And the list will continue to grow..
11. Did not move out of way of flying telephone pole with smoke coming out of the back end over Hanoi.
Funny, and also substantive (as opposed to which concentration camp one's great uncle participated in liberating).
This was the best one: McCain doesn't even know who is in charge in Iran.

I'd like to append that point. He also doesn't understand that "wipe off the map" is an American idiom and not an actual threat of physical aggression from Ahmadinejad. Amadinejad is not Iran's most senior leader, nor does he control foreign policy. He is a leader who thrives on confrontation with the West, and would likely be weakened if U.S.-Iranian tensions were reduced.
How many states did does Obama think there are in the United States?  He doesn't remember what was said at a church he went to for 20 years?  He sounds like a real together guy.

Even if things are bad under Bush, the solution to bad isn't worse.  Smart people will not vote for Obama.
11.  Achmedinininininijad.

But if Hillary isn't the nominee this is who you will vote for??????????????  He passed what Comanber and Chief test. I dont even think he passes a smell test .Not when the very person responsible in part for the mortgage meltdown is his Economy Guru.  Ok Clinton supporters you would be cutting off your nose to spite your face. Say good bye to Roe Vs. Wade with his conservative SC  Justice appointments too.
"The smart people will vote for Obama."
--Politivine (SC)

That's a pretty narrow base. How about the 73% who are not mentally impaired will vote for Obama?
McCain just opened the door to Criticism.
Stand back! Here comes the indignant rage!
Tat!
Can things possibly get more out-of-school than this?

This sure has been an extremely long primary season.

Why only a list of ten?
What did the RNC say about Hillary?
gaffes usually do not stick. The Bosnia lie by clinton is gone! what more 6 months from now?
No, the smart people (who haven't bought into airy-fairy rhetoric with no substance behind it)will vote for McCain, especially since they won't have a chance to vote for HRC.
Great!  Thanks for putting the list together.

OBAMA '08
There is a clear distinction between this list and the RNC’s, mostly founded in character, but also founded in generalizations that are for tabloid politics. McCain I admit is no word-weaver, but he doesn’t intentionally lie to manipulate his audience like Obama does. Every time Obama "misspeaks" it’s and directly impacted by the audience he’s addressing. He is trash. Obama is CLEARLY manipulating peoples’ feelings and you get to say, "Oh it’s no big deal?" Clearly, these are the same people who would accuse a state of being racist if 98% of its white people voted for a white candidate, but if 98% of black people vote for a black candidate say, "Oh, it’s just demographics."

SO, I ask, will the same Obama supporters who earlier today were saying things like "misspeaks aren’t news" or "there’s the economy and the war and all these other issues, why worry about misspeaks" or "it was just a misspeak, ignorant people need to focus on the issues" or (my favorite) "slow news day" ----- will they defend McCain as well? Because the DNC has been doing this a LOT longer than the RNC. Sure enough, they’ll be on here, the same ones saying "Obama just misspoke, no biggie," celebrating the double standard with, "Yeah, down with McCain."

Obama IS the double standard. Can’t Obama supporters even see themselves as they conduct business as usual? There’s no change. You’re not better than anyone else, though you believe yourselves to be, and if you’re going to lash out at other candidates’ misspeaks, then it’s fine to criticize Obama, the Immaculate.
where's my list?
Here's another...

McCain can't find the potty without Lieberman giving directions...three times.
Hahaaa, I love this.
DNC should concentrate on electing the candidate. The party is broke (only $4 mil cash on hand) compared to GOP with $57mil +.

If Hillary takes this all the way to the convention it could spell a financial disaster for DNC and Obama as well.
They forgot...

11. McCain didn't take the time to vet the people running his campaign to ensure lobbyists with conflicts of interest weren't put in charge.
12. McCain can't keep track of how many positions he's done a complete about-face on.
13. McCain sought the endorsements of Parsley and Hagee.
Can we get off the gaffes and move to issues that really matter. We have books written about Bush and his mutilation of the English language... those are overlooked because we all know he is not a smart man...

There are plenty of gaffes made by McCain - those are okay because he is old and confused...

There are plenty of gaffes by Hillary Clinton - those are apparently okay because she is just so tired and exhausted (wonder what she will say at 3 am?) or they are someone else's fault...

Then there are some gaffes by Barack Obama - nothing substantial - but he takes responsibility, makes the correction, apologizes, and moves on.  Exactly what we need in a President.

And people wonder why the public gets turned off by politics.  How about we start reporting and covering what really matters??

Obama 08 - we need an intelligent grown up in the White House!
Oh wow, I guess before you start throwing stones you should make sure they can't throw any back at ya.  I am loving that the DNC didn't waste any time in responding.
Let's add Phil Gramm and Pastor Hagee to that list.  Plus all the other lobbyists that he thinks belong on the "Same Talk Express".

Oh, and "I will NEVER SURRENDER" in Iraq!
MCCAIN DOESN'T HAVE A CLUE OR A CHANCE AT THE GE.  OBAMA WILL WIN THIS NATION.
Oh wow, I guess before you start throwing stones you should make sure they can't throw any back at ya.  I am loving that the DNC didn't waste any time in responding.
11. Old man yells at cloud.
12. Warmonger
13. Owned by special interest groups
14. Corrupt
15. Bush's 3rd term
16. Incontenent (wears adult diapers)
The proud Americans will vote for McCain.
We'll call this the Letterman Election.  What a joke.  Can anyone speak truthfully and seriously about real issues?  The rest of the world is laughing at us.  The childishness of both the RNC and DNC is unbounded.
