First thoughts: Obama boxed in?

*** Boxing Obama in on Iraq? Lost yesterday in the frenzy over Scott McClellan's new book was McCain's blistering attack on Obama over the fact that the Illinois senator hasn’t been to Iraq since 2006. Indeed, the RNC even released an online clock counting the days since Obama last visited the Middle East country. Then later in the day, the New York Times reported that Obama is considering a trip to Iraq; his campaign, in fact, has been discussing such a trip for weeks. Has McCain boxed Obama in on this issue -- because if he does actually go to Iraq, will it look like McCain’s idea? There are certainly a few other pros to McCain’s line of attack here: It moves the issue terrain to ground on which the Arizona senator is comfortable (Iraq), and it makes McCain look like the knowledgeable and experienced one. “The important thing is for him to go and see the facts on the ground and the success we are achieving,” McCain said yesterday. But there are a couple of cons, too. For starters, this debate will spur news organizations to whip up the video of McCain’s widely panned stroll through that Baghdad market, evidence that politicians don’t always see everything when they visit Iraq. But more important, if Obama DOES go, it could provide him a real commander-in-chief moment. As conservative commentator Jennifer Rubin puts it, “He might be able to … show he is not ‘afraid’ to get out and meet with the troops and commanders. He might even impress some voters that he is fluent enough in national security matters to be a credible commander-in-chief.” Short-term gain for McCain, potential long-term opportunity for Obama? Perhaps.

*** Replaying Clinton’s greatest hits: McCain’s attack on Obama yesterday also included this line: “Sen. Obama is the chairman of important subcommittee that has the oversight of what's going on in Afghanistan. He has not held one single hearing on Afghanistan.” Later in the day, a McCain spokesman released this statement: “In 2004, Barack Obama said he had the same position [on Iraq] as President George W. Bush.” Um, haven't we heard this stuff before -- from Clinton and her campaign? In fact, there is a danger here for McCain in recycling Clinton's greatest hits on Obama over the last several months. For one thing, the attacks seem a bit dated (Afghanistan and the subcommittee?) Two, they didn't exactly work for Clinton, did they? Then again, perhaps they might work better with general election voters. But so far, they haven't been a silver bullet. Some non-connected McCain watchers have been warning the campaign against recycling the same lines of attack on Obama -- don't hit him on the obvious weaknesses (inexperience); instead try and hug him on his supposed strength (non-polarizing) and lay claim to being the, well, reformer with results. But that sounds like Clinton's "solutions" gambit, doesn’t it?

VIDEO: NBC Political Director Chuck Todd gives his first read on what Scott McClellan's new book means for McCain and looks at the Florida and Michigan delegate math ahead of this weekend's DNC meeting.

*** Still dominating the news: Per NBC’s John Yang, as Scott McClellan starts trying to explain his book -- as he did on TODAY this morning -- and as the chorus of Bush loyalists both inside and outside the White House continue their defense, the White House has nothing to try to push this story out of the headlines. Mr. Bush is on the final day of his Western swing, where he has two events: a meeting with the head of the Mormon Church in Salt Lake City and a fundraiser for a Republican House challenger in Kansas, both closed to coverage. He returns to the White House around this evening. McClellan will appear on Olbermann tonight, as well as on Meet the Press on Sunday. This is turning into a five-day news story -- minimum. And that's not just unhelpful to Bush as he attempts to repair his image even a little, but also to John McCain, who doesn't need White House Bush drama eating into his coverage. Also, nevermind how McClellan has stepped on Clinton's final attempt to bring attention to the Florida-Michigan process.

VIDEO: See McClellan's exclusive interview with TODAY's Meredith Vieira.

*** The circus comes to town: Speaking of drama, Saturday's DNC rules committee hearing is promising to be a potential circus, as Clinton supporters appear to be preparing for fairly loud protests -- something the Obama campaign is reminding reporters that they could do but are choosing not to. The Clinton campaign is denying fanning the protest front, but they aren't discouraging the demonstrations either. And then there are the conspiracy theories popping up in the left blogosphere that Republicans will be secretly showing up Saturday in order to cause chaos and make the party look ridiculous on national TV. As for the actual meeting itself, there's one more angle you ought to be aware of: a 50% cut and a halving of the delegates is not the same thing. For instance, if Florida delegates are seated in their entirety, but only have their vote counted as a .5, then Clinton will net approximately 19 delegates out of the state. But if the delegation is cut in half, that's done in every congressional district as well as statewide, then suddenly Clinton's advantage is only a net of six. That's right, the complicated nature of the DNC delegate selection process will be a good reminder to math majors everywhere that a 50% cut is not the same as a halving of an individual number. Go figure...

*** Ron Paul watch: It’s worth noting that the Idaho Republican primary was Tuesday, and Ron Paul got 24% of the vote there. “[I]n Tuesday's little-noticed Republican primary in Idaho, the iconoclastic Texas congressman had his best showing so far…,” the Boston Globe writes, adding, “Paul's showing came despite making only one campaign stop in the state” and that “Paul's supporters have been making waves in state GOP conventions, hoping to secure a speaking role for him, plus a say on the party platform, at the national convention in September.” Uncommitted got 6% in Idaho while McCain got the rest -- 70%.

*** Veepstakes/battleground watch: In today’s veepstakes news, Michael Bloomberg criticizes all three presidential contenders (Clinton, McCain, Obama) for not always standing up to special interests… Joe Lieberman had to step down from the pro-Iraq war group Vets for Freedom because it’s running 527 ads against Obama… Lieberman refused to throw Pastor John Hagee under the bus and will attend the pastor’s summit in July… And don’t forget to check out our GOP veepstakes tournament on MSNBC.com. By the way, not a single one of our business execs will make it past the first round. Also, in state battleground news, a new Michigan poll has McCain leading Obama, 44%-40%, but toss in Romney and Clinton as the McCain and Obama running mates and the result flips with Obama-Clinton leading. Hmmm….

*** The delegate count: Obama picked up four more superdelegates yesterday and one this morning, which brings him within 44.5 of the required 2,026 (which, of course, will likely go up after Saturday depending on how the Michigan and Florida delegations are seated.) The NBC NEWS Delegate Counts: PLEDGED: Obama 1,649 to 1,500; SUPERDELEGATES: Obama 320.5 to 283.5; EDWARDS PL.: Obama 12 to 0; TOTAL: Obama 1,981.5 to 1,783.5.

*** On the trail: Clinton remains in South Dakota, holding rallies in Huron and Watertown; McCain has a town hall in Greendale, WI and fundraises in Milwaukee afterward; and Obama is down in Chicago.

Countdown to Puerto Rico: 3 days
Countdown to Montana, South Dakota: 5 days

I am 54.  I thought I would never be as disgusted with a politician as I was with Nixon during Watergate.  Now I have two that I despise even more; W and Hillary.  If there is any justice at all in this country, W and his cronies will find themselves in jail, and HRC will bow out next week and fade away totally disgraced.
Perhaps too long in coming, however, I would hope that McClellan's book will be an invaluable guide for future administrations on what NOT to do if their goal is to do what’s best for the country.

Congress got it wrong - the same people this country depends on to ensure we don't have a corrupt Administration. And they not only failed the American people, they also failed our military and Iraqi civilians. How many exactly I wonder have died. For what?

Fox News in general - Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, Bill Kristol in particular - the list is endless.

None of them ever raised questions. And to think they all still have jobs and can continue to sway opinion.

Somewhere along the way our leaders and large portions of our media became both bullies and wimps, depending on the circumstance. No real substance.

How sad.
Going to Iraq doesn't mean anything, both McCain and Obama should realize that.  The willingness to talk to the troops who are over there and find out if we are really winning (compared to the news saying we are in the middle of a civil war) is much more important regardless of what country the meeting is done in.
It’s worth noting that the Idaho Republican primary was Tuesday, and Ron Paul got 24% of the vote there.
*******************************************************

Worth noting indeed.  Republicans are not happy with John McCain as their nominee.

http://thepajamapundit.com/
You see Hillary supporters.
McCain is using Hillary's talking points against Obama.
Now you can begin to understand why she was disliked (and that's the mmost respectful word I can find) by the Obama supporters.
She basically ran like a republican and said some horrible things.
But we forgive you Hillary... we need to move on ... we Will UNITE... IF and only if the Clintons decide to back Obama vigorously.

If she doen't ... we will still win .. but she will stain her legacy ... and lose the young vote nad the AA vote even when she runs in NY.

In my humble opinion, this video of Young Hillary says it all:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HG1LLTYkn4I

P.S. What does walking around in Iraq prove exactly? Senator McCain desperately wants this election to be about Iraq instead of the deteriorating conditions her in the U.S. of A. - we can't afford 4 more years of living on the crumbs left over from Iraq.
Obama should go when the time is right, i hate to say this i don't trust anybody remembering hillary comment on assassination. This world is full of evil people so please watch out Obama
i cant wait till the general election can start.  And it is stupid to try and recycle attacks clinton used on obama because they haven't worked for her what makes McCain think they are going to work for him.

Maybe Obama should just talk to Pelosi???

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080517/ap_on_re_mi_ea/iraq

Pelosi, a top Democratic critic of the U.S.-led war in Iraq, expressed confidence that expected provincial elections will promote national reconciliation.

She welcomed Iraq's progress in passing a budget as well as oil legislation, and a bill paving the way for the provincial elections in the fall that are expected to more equitably redistribute power among local officials.

"We're assured the elections will happen here, they will be transparent, they will be inclusive and they will take Iraq closer to the reconciliation we all want it to have," said Pelosi. She also met with Iraq's parliament speaker Mahmoud al-Mashhadani, U.S. Ambassador Ryan Crocker and Gen. David Petraeus, the top American commander in Iraq.

The photo above is one of George W. Bush, a great guy, and Judas, who did it for money.
For security reasons, this is not the right moment for Obama to go to Iraq. To see a war he did not even support.
Obama. What can you say about this guy. The man has done nothing in his entire career, but yet, he stands there and tells us over and over that he has some kind of magical answers that are going to solve the worlds problems. He has not been to Iraq in nearly 3 years, and the last time he was there was for less then 2 days, and he somehow thinks he knows what is going on in that country. He won't talk to the generals, the troops, or anyone in the Pentagon, and yet he says he knows what's best for both Iraq and the US. Elitist doesn't even begin to describe Obama. You need to add in the words 'naive', 'dangerous', and 'clueless' to just begin to describe Obama.
If it wasn’t crystal clear before, it now is –> unless they want a bloodbath in August and a defeat in November, THE SUPERDELEGATES MUST ACT NOW TO END THIS THING.

Obama '08
Obama has been REACTIVE his entire campaign.  He needs to apologize, then he needs to explain, then he needs to go to Iraq......Has he ever thought of being PROACTIVE for once????????  It is like he is letting the clock run out and that looks bad.  What is he scared of?  Or is it that he is just plain inexperienced?  Also, the 2025/2026 doesn't include Michigan and Florida.  Until that is resolved stop touting 2025/2026 as the magic number.....nobody has the magic number of delegates yet.
"Republicans will be secretly showing up Saturday in order to cause chaos and make the party look ridiculous on national TV."

No the Dems do a good enough job of that themselves they dont need any help.
Senator Obama doesn't have to go to Iraq just because McCain says he does.  Senator Obama went to the hearing when the commander came to give his updates.  That is sufficient.  Senator Obama should not allow McCain to set his agenda. I would let McCain know "Thanks, but No Thanks"  McCain says "I know Senator Obama will change his mind".  Yea Right!  In your hopes and dreams only. This war is going to cost the republicans more than just the presidency! It will remain a major dividing line and any tactics to neutralize Senator Obama's positions will be scorned. As an Obama supporter, I expect him to call for an immediate pull out.  Especially, now with more support that this was a war waged by the ego of Bush wanting to be "Great".  How ironic that instead Bush will go on record as the "worst" president in the 21st century!  This is the time for Senator Obama to let Johnny boy "I ain't surrenderin'" know that he will make his own decisions based on his judgement and imput from HIS advisors and will not be dictated to by an old fart(hero).
This is just the begining of how McCain is going to make Obama look like he is not fit to be president.
Talk about boxed in! Obama will be boxed out by the republicans before november ever gets here. It looks like the dems have chosen him and will lose the election to four more of Bush.

McClellan better make his money in the next two days, because the biggest circus with all the clowns comes to town this weekend. That's when the Democrats will finish off their disenfranchisment of Michigan and Florida.
McBush really want to talk about Iraq?

He really wants all the attention to be focused on his BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER????

He wants to remind everyone how he and his buddy GWB started a senseless war, LIED about it to ALL OF US, continue to LIE about it and wants to continue it for "100 or more years"????

WHY would McBush want to go down that road?

He thinks he is better qualified because he has been around FOREVER, yet he id forgetting that his ideas, which are  IDENTICAL to GWB are COMPLETE FAILURES!!!!

Keep talking about the WAR McBush!!!

It is an argument that you will NEVER WIN.

NO MORE WAR!!!!!

MCBUSH MORE YEARS OF GWB FAILED POLICIES.

MCBUSH PROMISES 100 OR MORE YEARS OF WAR!!!

MCBUSH IS 40 MORE YEARS OF GWB!!!!!

Obama 08
This was a smart move by McCain to put Obama in a corner. But like all such problems, I am already looking forward to how Obama gets through stronger.

A Dissertation on Disillusionment: http://blakeneven.blogspot.com
Forgive me for being naive here, but just yesterday, it came to me why Hillary is fighting this losing battle to the End.In the Paul v. Clinton trial in California, I think the presiding judge agreed to delay hearing's until this november. With every Clinton crony Highly involved in this trial, they have evry reason to keep delaying the inevitable (testifying). If for some reason, unbeknownt to anyone living on this Planet, she was able to be elected President, the trial could go forward & in her capacity as President, she would be able to Pardon any & every person involved.
With that said, i have no idea why the push for VP (from Bill), because the VP would'nt have the Pardon option to use.
I wish no ill will towards anyone, but if I'm right on this,Hillary will take this inevitable Loss all the way to the Convention floor, in what amount's to Only delaying further, the start of the Paul v. Clinton trial.

Sad !

Obama does not need to go to Iraq to see the results of our efforts: just visit any VA hospital, Walter Reed, any family whose loved one is over there for the umpteenth time, a mother who lost her son, a child her father or mother, a soldier who lost a limb, a veteran who committed suicide after returning from there; talk to the family whose son was electrocuted while taking a shower in his quarters in Iraq; ask where the contractors' money went that is supposed to be making things better over there, what is the number $9 million? No one needs to visit Iraq for some political ploy: hellsbells, just read the ticker at CNN to see the results of all of the "success we are achieving."
Barack should conbsider sending a bunch of his supporters to that DNC meeting.  He needs to remember what happened in Florida as shown so succinctly in HBO's "Recount" movie where the RNC sent it's goon squads out to disrupt the vote tallying in one Florida county.

Hillary "Republican" Clinton is pulling another page out of "Criminal" Karl's playbook of mob rule and how a large vocal angry crowd can have a mighty influence on a small group of people trying to do something important.  She's attempting to sway the DNC through brute force and terror to make the only decision she wants, and that's to allow her to steal the election by giving her everything she wants.

I hope the police keep these angry miscreants far away from the meeting so the committee can make their judgments without fear of being mobbed by angry terrorists of hers.  This is nothing but terrorist politics and it's no wonder the Wicked Witch of the East will stoop so low.

Go Obama 08/12!
So, when will the war crime trials start.
Superdelegates better wise up before it is too late.

HILLARY WILL DETROY THE DEMS CHANCES IN NOVEMBER ---

UNLESS SUPERDELEGATES ACT, NOW, TO STOP HER.
_____________________________________________________
Just remember everyone thought Hillary Clinton had Obama boxed in last October... Whoops he kind of broke that box into a million little pieces.
This is just the start of the exposing of Obama for what he is. The man has no experience, accomplishments, ideas, vision, or plan. That's all he's got is abstract speeches about nothing in particular. Obama is a politcal version of Seinfeld.
Oh please, like ANYONE would take advise from John "100 Years" McBush??

Yeah, McBush and his friend GWB have had TONS of great ideas the last 8 years.

John McBush and his pal GWB are to blame for the horrible atrocity that is happening in Iraq, and how McBush can look anyone in the eye and DEFEND this war is beyond me.

McBush may think that he is tough, questioning Obama on Iraq, but we all know the kind of Judgement and ideas McBush has.  THE SAME AS GWB.

And since GWB has 20% approval rating, I don't think McBush stands much of a chance.

Sorry McBush, you are old and tired and you need to take a hike.

NO MORE WAR
The Michigan poll that you cite is obviously unreliable, with 16% undecided.  And in the match-up with VPs, it's worth noting that McCain's number stays the same, at 44%, while the Obama/Clinton number increases substantially. This shows that McCain's numbers will stay low and that Obama, no matter who the VP is, will be able to raise his through campaigning.
Scott McClellan's criticism of the Bush White House shows remarkable restraint.
How funny that Ron Paul got 24% of the vote in Idaho.  Why can't "Bush Hugger" McCain unite his worthless party after over 3 months of being the presumptive nominee?

I find it laughable that some conservative lunatic fringers come here and then complain there's a bunch of liberals posting here.  Hey if you don't like it then go back to Fox.  Otherwise you should pay more respect to us liberals since we're the ones who founded this great democracy with our liberal ideals of government, our liberal blood, and our little liberal pamphlets written by liberal Thomas Payne of "Common Sense" and "The Crisis".

Yeah it was those two little liberal pamphlets, not the bible, that inspired our revolutionary forefathers into starting the revolution and then in it's darkest hour kept those fine liberal soldiers in the Army when the situation looked bleakest.  The conservatives were nothing but Tory Traitor Trash and they still are.

Go Obama 08/12!
General Election season hasn't even really begun yet to make polls matter much.  The Dem party has not even begun to unify around a nominee.  Obama hasn't made extensive trips to Michigan yet.

My suggestion to Obama is to visit all the districts/counties he didn't do as well in and save the big cities for later.  He'll win the big cities anyway.

So for example in MI, save Detroit and Ann Arbor for last.  Work North of the cities.  In Florida, start from outside Miami... work the I-4 corridor and don't neglect the Panhandle.  In PA, skip Philly at first.  In Ohio, go to all the areas Clinton won.

For VP, I like Richardson, but he seems a little of a pushover, and not sure how rural whites might like another minority on the ticket.  But if it makes TX, FL, NM, NV more competitive then go for it.  All Obama really needs is to win the same states Kerry won, plus a 2 out of 3 combo of CO, NH, NM or Iowa which have flipped.
[[The important thing is for him to go and see the facts on the ground and the success we are achieving,” McCain said yesterday. ]]

When McCain says "facts on the ground," he means one of his staged photo-ops like the one in that Baghdad market, with Army snipers on the roof and attack helicopters overhead kept out of camera range that were necessary to protect his sorry hide. McCain's bogus "fact finding" junkets are a waste of taxpayer money.
"Hmmm... Why are so many MSNBC/First Read bloggers pro-Obama? I'd like to see someone on this blog scrutinize Obama. He's really not that impressive.

McCain '08

That's why YOU'RE here, Dirk.
Absoultely no doubt about it . . . Clinton has laid the groundwork to fight this thing all the way to the convention floor and has every intention of fighting on after next week

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/rachel-maddow/clinton-to-the-convention_b_103078.html

As already reported here earlier today, the Clinton campaign will not accept anything but a 100% seating of both FL and MI with MI's "not-Clinton" delegates all going to her carefully hand-picked MI delegation

Even after Obama clinches the final number of delegates next week, she will appeal the DNC ruling on FL/MI all the way to the convention floor

And make no doubt about it, the Republicans will fan the fire all the way to the convention and then still have the gall to say that the winner "stole" the nomination

Congratulations Democrats . . . you idiots have just assured us of 4 more years of Bush/McCain and a Supreme Court that will roll the calendar on civil rights back 100 years

un-freaking-believable!!!

And you think McBush has ideas and plans and visions?

Yeah he does, and we have already witnessed his ideas for the last 8 years.  His ideas are the same as GWB's fantastic ideas.

And we all know that the last 8 years have been a complete FAILURE.

So I will GLADLY take Obama and his CHANGE over McBush and his continuation of GWB ANY DAY.

I can't afford 4 more years of GWB.
WHY ALL THE GRIPPING FROM OBAMA SUPPORTERS IF HE DOSE WIN THE NOMANATION LIKE IT SAID HILLARY HAS ALLREADY THREW EVERYTHING AT HIM  BEFOR MCCAIN HAS HAD A CHANCE TO AND IT HAS NOT HURT HIM  SO I THINK SHE HAS DONE HIM A FAVOR BY STAYING IN UNLESS HE IS HIDEING SOMETHING ELES HE SHOULD HAVE NO PROBLEMS  IF HE CAN NOT WIN NOW THATS HIS FAULT AND WE STILL HAVE FL AND MI TO COUNT SATURDAY BEFOR WE KNOW IF HE IS GOING TO BE THE NOMANEE OR NOT
Obama needs to find out for himself other than pandering to the Peacenik side of his party.  I am sure the fear that Obama has is that he will not be welcomed by the US Troops and Iraq leaders unless your Sadr.
Hey Brother Odd -
Republicans who support Bush and McBush should be willing to suit up and fight. McCain doesn't even know why Bush went to war. I guess that happens when you graduate at the very bottom of your class. McCain say he will never "surrender". Surrender to what? -Establishing a democracy in the middle east at gunpoint.
No I'll vote for the Harvard law review president. I think Obama had the judgement and courage to stand up in 2002, while your candidate   lacked the intellectual might and curiosity and to question the chicken hawks who got us into this mess.
GOOD MORNING AMERICA ! IF TOMORROW YOU WERE TOLD THAT YOUR VOTE DID NOT COUNT, HOW WOULD YOU FEEL AND WHAT WOULD YOU "HONESTLY" DO ? YES BELIEVE IT OR NOT ,THERE STILL IS 50 STATES IN THE UNITED STATES, NOT 48 ! 100% REPRESENTATION...ABSOLUTELY NOTHING LESS WILL DO .

I agree with you 100 PERCENT.
It's so much fun to watch Scott's book get so much fanfare and is selling so well.  It seems America wants to hear the White House dirty laundry getting aired after so much stonewalling and hiding behind executive privilege.  This current wrecking crew of democracy is so much more criminal than Nixon's it almost makes Nixon look like an amatuer crook.

I guess pretty soon we'll be hearing "Lame Duck" Bush say "I'm not a Crook".  The Congress needs to take heed of Scott's book and start applying the full court press of impeachement against this Lame Duck terrorist against democracy!

Go Obama 08/12!
For those who are now blaming Hillary for providing the ammo McCain is now using as attacks on Obama, I have this to say....

....he would've come up with it himself anyway.  This stuff he's saying is just way too obvious, and all us Hillary supporters were saying from the beginning, that the Republican machine would use this stuff against Obama, and that was why Hillary, for whom there's nothing else to dredge up and use again, was the best candidate.

Obama is unelectable, plain and simple.
'McCain's blistering attack on Obama over the fact that the Illinois senator hasn’t been to Iraq since 2006."

So what? What possible difference does it make? Is Barack going to find the BILLIONS in lost money? What, exactly, does McCain discover while protected by 200 troops and 6 helicopters? That it's a great photo op?
Hey Chuckie ! Your next President is going to be Hillary . So go crawl back in your hole. :>)
has been discussing such a trip for weeks. Has McCain boxed Obama in on this issue -- because if he does actually go to Iraq, will it look like McCain’s idea?
______________________________________________________

Come on guys.  You can do better than this.  You can't really suggest that because McCain's only position in this election is on the war, that somehow by Obama doing his duty (any candidate would visit before the GE) it would appear McCain pressured him into it!

That idea is ridiculous.  Barack Obama is his own man!
Sen. Clinton is so desperate that she is now resorting to "goon squad" demonstrations by her supporters so as intimidate the DNC. She just gets more and more pathetic as this campaign drags on.
We appear to have a lot of Obama supporters here.  As a Republican looking in, I have to ask:  What happens if Hillary somehow manages to get the nomination and convinces the Super Delegates to change sides and vote for her due to the electility argument?  I would have to assume that this scenario would be a total nightmare for the Democrats in November.  Will you all support Clinton if she becomes the nominee?  It also appears that the Clinton campaign is somehow trying to plant the seeds that the nomination is being stolen from her a la Al Gore in 2000 due to the mess in Florida and Michigan.  To me, this is a very dangerous tactic as well.  If Clinton supporters believe that they are being unfairly treated or were somehow wronged in the nomination contest, will they still vote for Obama in the fall?  I just don't see how this ends positively for both sides if the Clinton campaign continues to drag this out.  Why are the Super Delegates not stepping in and siding for one of the candidates?
I ask this because I am curious and was hoping to get some feedback.  I can say with a straight face (no I am not hoping for a circus this weekend), that I am concerned as a voter, not as democrat or republican, that overturning these results (ignoring the delegate lead, popular lead, etc.) would be a bad thing for everybody.
