I have a question for the Hillary supporters who say that the block of African Americans voting 95% for Obama are racist.

Why do you find fault with us, but it was OK for Bush who is a Texan, to carry Texas, in his Presidential bids?  Likewise, why is it just fine, and dandy, when any GE candidate is expected to carry their home state?

Is identity politics approved by you, just so long as Black folks don't ever, ever gain an advantage?

Did it upset you when Irish Catholics voted overwhelmingly for the Kennedys. Has it upset you, that you, as White folks have voted exclusivly for other White candidates your entire lives?

No, I did'nt think so.

MSNBC:  ANY (?!!?!) guesses/reporting as to how many supers will come out tomorrow?  Tuesday?

Why do people keep repeating Hillary'obnoxious arguement that she is winning the popular vote?  It is not true!  How can you leave out the caucus state votes?  It is not right and when she says"every vote counted" whar about the people that actually went and raised their hands!  These are votes.  A fair formula could be figured on, but then again it would prove that she does not lead the popular vote. Senator Obama has won the most delegates, the most states and the most popular votes!  The majority of people that have supported Senator Obama will not vote for Clinton.  I will change and declare independent and sit home if she is on the ticket.  I do not want to be part of a party that can throw away a winner for a whinner!  I expect the superdelegates to start declaring soon for Senator Obama so that the healing process can start now!

Closer and closer to the finish line with each delegate comes Barack Obama, the inevitable nominee.

I got a big laugh out of "Bush Hugger" McCain saying he's going to give a big speech Monday about how he's a different kind of repugnant one.  A pile of dung by any other name is still a pile of dung.  He will never escape the stench emanating from his BFF "Dung Beetle" Bush.

MSNBC:  Something to note:  Clinton folks said they'd get full seating of FL and MI with full votes, even though they new this was not going to happen.  Obama NEVER claimed he'd get anything more than what he actually got.  With that in mind, Obama's claim that he'l get a bunch of supers Monday/Tuesday is pretty credible.

Just another 48hrs and this thing will be done.  It's a shame that Sen. Clinton let it go to this point.  Though, from the start her campaign has been one poor decision after another.  Don't know why I would expect anything else.  I think Hillary has set women back, not advanced the cause.  I hope I'm wrong about that.

The popular vote, including Florida which the DNC now accepts, and excluding Michigan, which the DNC now rejects, and including the caucus states, the numbers currently are Obama +183,067.

That includes the Puerto Rico vote that has reported as of 6:30pm.

Nice win Senator Clinton!!  Congrats to Senator Obama on being so close!!  I was listening to Donna Brazielle earlier on CNN.  She was stating that as a SD (speaking for herself only) that the metric she would be looking at is the delegate count.  Not in fact, the popular vote which many seem to still be touting.  The popular vote is so close, it is amazing.  Depending on which scenario you look at, either could be winning the popular vote.  Also, another fact, other winners of the primary Democratic nomination, did in fact lose the last primaries, Bill Clinton and Gerald Ford were both named.  A little bit of trivia, I was not aware of.

When I add up all the numbers above, I get 4,225.  I count 8 Edwards delegates who have not moved to Obama (18 before yesterday, plus 6.5 from Florita yesterday, minus your 16.5 above who have endorsed.)

That adds to 4,233, which only yields 2,117 needed to win.

Where are the other two?  (Or the other one if you're rounding?)

One might say how ironic it was , the timing and the head count. Obama, won the first round and he will win the second round. Yes, Hillary has to be shown the back door two times before it sinks in.

It is so sad that even as Obama has been so very gracious to hillary (which she doesn't deserve) she still can't give a speech that will unite the party! She is such a sore looser!!. She has disrespected herself, women, her party and the American people. Bill is not even worthy of being called former president. his behavior is down right dispicable. They gather a cast of racist bigots around them and a few blacks that act like step it fetch its ( that big tooth grinning woman that calls herself a senator) is a shameful example of someone that is so out of touch and should never hold any elected office. We all know what she should have said in her speech, but true to form she had to throw jabs at Barack. I will be so glad when wednesday night is here and Obama can declare hos victory with a real celebration (let the confetti and baloons fall) I'm sick of hearing about not wanting to offend hillary, she celebrated after every one of her wins , like she had already won the presidential election. Wednesday night will be President Obama's turn to celebrate. He should not even think about having her as vice president, not for a split second. Real Clear Politics has popular vote totals.  (No doubt First Read or MSNBC has them too but I don't know how to find them.)  If you use the votes from the primaries (except the Washington State primary which was just a beauty contest), include Florida and Michigan, giving credit to Sen. Obama for the uncommitted votes, and estimates of the vote for four caucus states (Iowa, Nevada, Washington and one other, sorry), Sen. Obama is ahead by nearly 45,000 votes.  Even though that last sentence sounds like it should be from a Gilbert & Sullivan operetta, this would appear to be the fairest way to calculate the popular vote.  I wouldn't expect much agreement from Clinton supporter, though.

Supers step to the plate and end this.  Obama has the ObamaNation in mind, I feel.  He and his radical,
anti-whitey, pro black liveration, pro black supremacy. I won't listen to another word Obama has to say.  I've seen and heard enough already.

Hillary or McCain.  

Here is proof that Clinton and McCain wont do what they say they will on the campaign.  Its pandering and promises that wont be held.

Here is my explanation.

If Clinton and McCain were so convinced, as they said they were during PA and WV, about the absolute need for a gas tax holiday why arent they in Washington implementing it.  Its already a week past memorial day and if you want to gives us a gas tax holiday then we need it now.  So if they arent doing it was this just another empty promise designed to pander and gain favor with voters esp those economically disadvantaged??  I hope a Clinton and McCain supporters will answer this debate and give us an alternative explanation.  Please lets keep this intelligent and civilised and i mean that supporters of all 3 candidates.

The poplular vote argument by Clinton is somewhat misleading. If all the states west of the Mississippi (Colorado, Washington, Minnesota, Utah, Kansas, Nebraska, Idaho, Alaska, North Dakota, Nevada, New Mexico, Iowa and Wyoming)that had caucuses had primaries instead all but two would have went for Obama netting him 500,000 votes or more.
Now I know Washington [and Nebraska] had a primary, that is a bad barometer. Who would disagree that the voting in a primary only in Washington would not have been substantially different then Oregon where Obama picked up 110,000 votes? [What percentage of Washington primary voters were over 60?]  Washington is over twice the size of Oregon. Washington has 6 million, so does Minnesota and Colorado has 5 million.

It looks like Obama is stronger than Clinton in the West among all kinds of non-Hispanic whites including Texas and California except Oklahoma. [Can someone explain why?] Lets see if my theory holds true on Tuesday when Montana and South Dakota vote in primaries. If Obama wins on Tuesday I figure Clinton's somewhat creditable argument about the popular vote becomes totally discredited in my mind. Caucuses distort Obama's numbers slightly but would not change the result in any state and would not have changed the result of who the Democratic candidate is.

Anyway you slice, a very close nomination race. But there are no grounds to deny the nomination to Obama. And as to who would beat McCain, both should so lets end that debate too.

If Clinton had taken a less adversarial approach to this process I would have strongly supported her on the ticket. Too many 3:00 a.m. ads. I regretfully say now after a lot of thought, I can not support the notion that Clinton should be V.P.

You can be pretty confident that the splits of the remaining delegates will be about even, 18-18, with Obama leading in polls in SD and MT and Clinton likely to pick up a majority of the remaining 5 in P.R.  That means Obama's number will be 27.5 after Tuesday's primaries.

Also, have you counted the Maine add-on super today for Obama, yet?

Obama should give Hillary 4 of his delegates from Michigan to eliminate any thoughts of challenges to Michigan in Denver.  It won't make any difference in his nomination.
