I've never been a big fan of President Bill Clinton, but I appreciate his grace at this time.

If Senator Clinton can show the same grace in defeat, it will do much to improve my perception of her.

In that marriage, I think Bill is the better half.

It's been a good run.  Time for them to pack it up and start working for the party in the Fall.

Well, with Hillary not going to be Presiden, Bill should be able to go back doing business with Iran, right? Has anybody asked him where he got the 30mil. from? The company he quit doing business with? Media, do your job, not just Democracy Now.

Bill is a good man and I hope he puts some effort into helping campaign for Obama, Unfortunately I believe the clintons are simply going to walk away and hope for the worst for the Obama team. It is actually kinda sad

Finally, the last day of Bill Clinton.  All the issues he created during this process, I'm excited not to have turn my television channels so often so not to hear what comes out of his mouth.

I was in elementary school during a lot of Bill's presidency, and I came off with an extremely positive view of him (and I was hitting adolescence when his scandal broke out, so I felt I understood his tryst... what adolescent boy wouldn't want that?).

Unfortunately, I am a little saddened by the harsh negative tone I heard from him a lot during this primary cycle. Overall, I still think he's an accomplished speaker and seems very intelligent, but I wish he hadn't injected his dose of vitriol into the campaign.

Here's hoping I can place the same trust in Obama that I did in Bill, and unlike Bill, my trust is rewarded.

I'm not into this fearmongering and suspicion a lot of you people seem to have for Obama. As life goes on, I want to learn to trust people more, not less, and I say "shame on you" to those of you who shrink that window over the course of your life. I understand you want a protection mechanism so you won't be hurt, but if you never trust, you'll just be a pathetic sad individual always talking big during the say but hiding under the covers at night.

In other words he won’t be helping the Dems (Obama) campaign for the general. Not exactly a surprise actually. I'm fairly certain we won’t see any Clintons supporting Obama in any way shape or form. Once (whenever that may be) she concedes she and her hubby will disappear off the face of the Earth, without lending so much as a kind word for the general campaign.

Good riddance.....I hope we have seen the last of you.

Well, that is a good sign...unless the focus was on "of this kind" and not "campaign".

I used to "like" President Clinton until he started campaigning, which the task seemed to be beneath him.  Think of it. . .  he's been to every country with red carpet treatment, making thousands of dollars, people throwing themselves at him. . .  and then he begins stumping, looking very much out of character.  

This is the first time in a very long time where President Clinton is acknowledging the end is near.  

Now, Bill, go talk to Hillary and tell her IT'S OVER!

Love ya Bill! Stay in until the convention and then the GE like the rest of us. Go Hillary!

All in all I think Hillary ran a good campaign that is up until recently.  I'm glad they are speaking in terms now of say goodbye to this run and maybe there's another run in their future in 8 years.  Now it's time to turn to Obama and back him 110%.  It's time to get on with full focus on the general election !

Come on people-do we really honestly believe the Clintons are going to go away quietly?  

....and the derision continues.....must be the sorest winners in history...but as I've said before at the moment I'll ignore voting for president but if this keeps up McCain will get my vote as a protest

Wait a minute Bill, not so fast! Did'nt you pledge to campaign your heart out for Obama should he be our nominee?

Although he helped to tank Hillary's chances, because he was like the proverbial lawyer representing himself with a fool for a client,(he could not be objective), but would that be the case if he were to stump for Obama?

Do you believe now that Obama is nothing but a POLITICIAN?  Interesting, his resignation was about saving the church from frustration.  Didn't hear him say he renounced what they stand for.  A visiting pastor comes into the pulpit there and knows it's acceptable to say racist, sexist things.  If a VISITING pastor knows that, how can you say Obama sat there for 20 years and didn't know?  He's a fake and a fraud and a very dangerous person.  It's too little, too late.

Perhaps some of you have set in your church, synagogue, temple, or mosque, etc. and didn’t agree with certain statements; but saw more of the positive. How many of you can live with that?

Bill might not be able to reclaim his standing as "the first black president" among many... but he can go a long way to rebuild that standing by being a huge part in helping to actually elect the first black president.

I see a few options for him:

1) Fade away, not helping Obama.  This would gain him no benefit, and would give him and his wife some blame if Obama lost.  If Obama won it would just reduce his standing in the part.

2) Work half heartedly for Obama.  Gaining a little standing but not much.

3) Work as hard for Obama as he did for Hillary.  He could regain a lot of standing, and be able to stand up saying he helped in the effort to break the ultimate barrier for african americans.  Both Hillary and Bill would never return to the top of the party, but would put themselves right near the top.  Giving both of them a lot of power in pushing the policies they want to work on.

If Bill and Hillary Clinton run around the country pushing for Obama as hard as they have for Hillary, stand there at the convention raising his hand, and then are there with Obama on election night, a ton of their negatives would be wiped from most peoples' minds.  

Kobe had to buy his wife a big diamond ring and Bill had to try to get his wife elected president. I think you're now off the hook Bill. You can now go back to trying to build your legacy.

Oh puhleeeze.  Inside, his inner-Bill is saying "Alright......it's Booty Call time again after Tuesday!!"

But yes, he won't be planning on doing any campaigning for Obama. His obligation was to try and help the little lady get her part of their personal bargain, but hey, she failed, so his obligation to the campaign year over. She can go back to the drudgework in the Senate, and he'll get back to hanging with his bachelor friends and crashing parties filled with 20 and 30-something young lovelies. Alll will be right with his world again.

Goodbye Bill!  Too bad the roller coaster ride had so many lows though the highs were thrilling.

So is this an indicator that Bill won't help Senator Obama win the presidency?  Is this a reflection of the Clinton's truly wanting Senator Obama to fail at all costs?
I hope Bill is more the statesman than I interpreted this.

I am not trusting the Clintons right now.  I see that Hillary is poised to declare victory based on the popular vote and to use this to leverage that superdelegates dare not vote against her and 'steal' the election from the 'will of the voters'.  It is a terrible strategy based on some warped math that does not take into account that the primary results from Michigan and Florida are skewed and tainted by 'voter supression' and 'supression of voter choice'.

Bill should have been man enough weeks ago to have told Hillary it was all over,instead he let her drag it on making a fool of herself but worse yet making fools of her supporters as you saw at the meeting the other day when the few she has left were screaming and disrupting the rules committee meeting.The Clintons years are over Bill just has to face reality...

Lets hope this is the last day of the most divisive political contest this country has ever seen. I am amazed at the negative tone of both the democratic primary and the general election. We dumb americans elect our leaders and then complain about their performance as if we had no hand in the results. I have heard so much anti-bush,mcCain,Obama,Clinton venom that it makes me sick. Let me enlighten all you people. When the decision was made to attack Afganistan,Iraq WE all backed it. When the elections were held in 2000, 2004 WE put these people in to office. When we chose to drive gas guzzleing cars  making us suseptable to large price increases when the world wide supply of oil drys up, We have noone to blame but ourselves. Why do we always blame everyone else for the problems that WE helped to create? I guess its just the AMERICAN way. No wonder everyone else in the world hates us.

This goes out to senator Clinton; THE RACE IS FINISHED, MAKE A BRIDGE AND GET OVER IT!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU LOST,END OF STORY!! SHOW THE WORLD THAT YOU MAY NOT BE A LADY BUT YOU STILL HAVE A DEGREE OF DICORAM AND BOW OUT WITH GRACE.

I have lost complete respect for Bill.  He cost Hillary the election.  When he was impeached I supported him because of the rational "the enemy or enemy is my friend", but Obama was never my enemy - -although I supported Hillary.  When Bill tried to turn Obama into just "the black canidate" he didn't realize that many whites would be very offended.  I was.  I will never speak him in a possitive regard ever again.  

Bill you should take your wife out of poilitics along with you. Enough with Clintons!!!

I wouldn't hold my breath. The Clintons have done everything they can to take this nomination from Obama. I hope they work as hard to get him elected.

Bill gets to take a vacation. He and Hillary can sit back watch Obamas numbers continue to drop and then save the day when the polls near convention time all say Obama gets beat by McCain. As the superdelegates panic, Hillary Clinton can graciously accept the nomination and save the democratic party from a blistering loss, as if, they actually have the stupidity to nominate someone that the polls will show by convention time is DOOMED to fail! Are Obama supports so naive they actually believe the supers wont change thier support in heartbeat if the polls show he cant win the general election and Hillary can. Mark my words, this is after all politics, its not fair so don't be surprised!

Now I understand why Bill cheated on her. All i can say is wow!

Have some respect people! Bill is probably one of the 5 best Presidents we've ever had. He was a great friend to the middle class, working poor, AAs, and minorities. To discount his exceptional service to this party and country because you're sooo "inspired" by obama is ludicrous!

Now we're talking - take the high road Bill. And get some rest after tomorrow!
