In name of unity, Ausman backs Clinton

Posted: Tuesday, June 03, 2008 4:43 PM by Domenico Montanaro

From NBC's Domenico Montanaro
The man who, on Saturday, presented a challenge to the DNC's rules committee for seating Florida's delegation confirms to NBC NEWS that he is lending his superdelegate vote to Clinton.

"Sen. Obama's already got the nomination," Florida's Jon Ausman told NBC NEWS. "I want to send a small message with my half vote that we need to be unified."

And by unified, Ausman said he would like to see Obama put Clinton on the ticket. "He needs to make some efforts there," Ausman said.

Ausman did have some harsh words for Clinton aide Harold Ickes' reaction after the rules committee's Michigan decision.

"That was someone who just got their butt handed to them in a closed-door meeting [by] Allan Katz," Ausman said. "It was unnecessary."

Katz is a lawyer from Florida -- and superdelegate -- who emerged as Obama's chief powerbroker on the rules committee.

Shame on Pelosi -- She's been pushing super delegates to make a decision by Wednesday.  Instead of supporting the most qualified and most experienced candidate, who has dedicated her life to service, it is obvious that Pelosi wants to be the most powerful woman in the country. That is why she is pushing Hillary out of the race.  Shame on Pelosi!
Why haven't we heard Chris Matthews, or any of the others pundits raise the obvious question.  All this talk about damaging the party if we don't have a nominee.  You will damage the party if you loose the 18 million citizens who have voted for Hillary...and giving it to a rookie Senator who is talking about change.  We've just had 8 years of damaging change in Bush country!  HILLARY TAKE IT TO THE CONVENTION AND LET THE VOTERS SPEAK!
MAN!!! ANY CLINTON SUPPORTER WHO VOTES FOR McCAIN JUST MIGHT PUT ANOTHER 4 YEARS OF MCBUSH IN OFFICE. DUMB MOVE-ITS YOUR VOTE- BUT IT IS VERY DANGEROUS!
What a really stupid idea it is to put Hillary on the ticket when Billy is going to around causing trouble.  I certainly will have second thoughts about voting for Obama with that witch on the ballot.  Both she and dear Bill are past history.  Get someone with new ideas to try to rectify the damage the Bush Administration has done to the country.  Perhaps it cannot even be done for several decades!
Hilary as VP is the worst idea ever.  I used to respect her, but the way she has handled herself during this election cycle sickens me. She has taken women BACK not forward with her mud slinging behavior.

Who should be on the ticket?  Richardson would be my top pick for VP, but if people want a woman then go with Sebelius or McGaskill. I'd like to see Edwards as Atty General.  He'd be phenomenal in that role.
please,we donot want the clinton's in the white house ! we have enough of BILL!and the mrs!WE'LL BE ALLRIGTH!!!
It's clear that if Obama runs for president, it's a sure win for McCain. Obama can't win the national vote. Wishing won't make it so.
strong Obama support and will not vote for Mr. Obama if Hillary is on the ticket.
If that is all it takes for unity, send a message and give your delegate vote to McCain. Makes as much sense (none, that is).
