it is over!!!!!!!!! are u saying u he cant get 11 from the two elections?  way...
Wow! All of the candidates have been so close in delegates, I can't believe it's almost over! Now, for the VP's. There is a new Vice President poll that started last week at:

http://www.votenic.com

Votenic.com also holds a 2008 Presidential Election Weekly Poll.
The results from each week are posted every Wednesday evening, so get your vote in for the week!
I can't tell you what this means to me as a black person. I am overwhelmed...the tears, the hope I have for this country. God bless you, Senator Obama.
Wow, this is historic. Only in the democratic party, we would have a choice between the first woman or the first African American/White (biracial) candidate.

To John McCain trying to vie for Sen.Clinton supporters,

She is Pro-Choice, Sen. Obama is Pro-Choice, you are not
She is for univeral healthcare, so is Sen.Obama, you are for market based system, which is what we have today.
She wants to get out of Iraq, so does Sen.Obama, you want to stay for 100 years.

The list goes on. Why would Sen.Clinton supporters vote for you, Sir?
Obama please do not take HRC VP please. this will miss every thing we believed about you
I have been a Barack Obama supporter since the beginning of his campaign, however here in Rural Kentucky ( nearest neighbor is half a mile in any direction)it has'nt been easy to talk other's into supporting him also.I have been called some names in which I took offense to & argued on Barack's behalf.I never considered Hillary because my own Personal opinion was I wanted America to be done with a Bush-Clinton-Bush-almost Clinton Monopoly on our National Politic's.As the Primary season wore on, my assupmtion about Hillary became even clearer, she was never in it for America, she was Only in it for Herself.

As this day wear's on, i would personally like to Thank all of Barack's supporter's across America that come to this sight & argue on his behalf, that he is indeed the candidate to take America forward. We've been bombarded with daily blast after daily blast about how he is'nt up to the challenge's that confront America & the World. We have withstood this onslaught & now move onto the General election in November.

To all the Hillary supporter's who claim to be Real Democrat's, Put Up or Shut Up. This is'nt about Hillary or You, it's about what's best moving forward & the good Lord know's the last 8 year's have been a Trainwreck. If you want to continue this Trainwreck, then i say vote for Mccain or stay home in November. Just remember that sometime down the road if Mccain is somehow elected POTUS, you will be complicit in changing Roe v. Wade (the reproductive right's of All your offspring). You will be complicit in sending even more American soldier's to their Death for OIL.

Barack Obama has shown that he has the Judgement & Tempermant to successfully handle the Office of President.Let him & his supporter's have this day to Celebrate, as we've fought very hard for him as You have done for Hillary. She Lost (Thank Goodness), now get over it & let's move America forward as a unit.

After the last 8 year's, America is Rightly deserving of finally getting past George W. Bush!

Yes We Can !!!!
You guys must be giddy with joy...you finally helped the guy make history. Let's see if you’re as successful with the General Election.
It has been a great historic race between 2 amazing candidates in the primary. Although each person reserves the right to vote for who they want for in the General election, please think about the issues the democrats and the republicans are representing on the ballot. The democratic party is representing change and Sen Obama will make a great leader. In addition, he has the characteristic makeup to learn from his mistakes and to surround himself with bipartisan cabinet members that will be for the people. I dont like to lose at anything in life and I am sure Mrs. Clinton's supporters will be disappointed. Senator Clinton is passionate and she brings out the passion in people. The same can be said for Obama supporters. I am speaking as an Obama supporter. I ask the Clinton supporters who are passionate and upset. We are all in the same family. We love your passion, but I for one dont want the same policies from the Republican party to be elected in the fall. We need your support because the republicans will throw any and everything at the democratic party to win. Remember what happen to the election in Florida in 2000. The republicans are very powerful and we need the entire nation of democrats to unite.. Obama supporter with love for the Clinton supporters... "ONE PARTY" democrats lets unite to continue this movement
with all the Veep talk...well...lets see...whats important in November? ...Not having this ticket or letting Nov go to the other party?
Is Hillary really not going to concede and suspend her campaign tonight?

This would be a huge step toward party unity if she were to endorse him tonight......

Hopefully she too will step up -
Did you forget to subtract the 4 that switched from  Clinton to Obama?

- Switched DNC Ben Johnson (DC) from Clinton to Obama
- Switched DNC Kamil Hasan (CA) from Clinton to Obama
- Switched Rep. Maxine Waters (CA) from Clinton to Obama
- Switched DNC Rhett Ruggerio (DE) from Clinton to Obama

I think that her Super count should be 291.5 not 293.

Just asking.
drip...drip....WWHHHHOOOOOOOOOSSSSSHHHHHHHHHH
TIME HAS COME TODAY.
The higher they rise, the harder they fall.
To the loyal HRC supporters.

I am so very sorry that your candidate lost, and you know all the reasons why she lost, probably much better than I do.

I truly believe that Senator Clinton will go on to be a really powerful Senator or excel at whatever she wishes to pursue.

However, don't you think that you could at least allow Senator Obama to enjoy this moment, he has been  very gracious to your candidate, he congratulates her on her every victory, please allow him today.

Thank you.

It's time to join together to work towards electing a Democratic President with a workable Democratic majority in both the House and the Senate.

This time do something smart and vote for your wallet, vote for the economy, vote for the environment, vote for jobs.

Vote for the smartest candidate in the race, a real leader (and no that's not McCain -- not by a long shot)

Vote Democratic 2008 -- don't let the corporations and their Republican stooges win again.
What Hillary should say tonight - probably her best speech ever.

Congratulations to Senator Obama and his staff and family for an amazing campaign. I am just one who supported you, among millions, and am proud that even though people around me were going Hillary, I did not, and you won our great Commonwealth of Virginia, and I am sure we will turn her blue this November! Go Obama!!
FREE AT LAST ...FREE AT LAST ...GOOD GOD ALLMIGHTY WE ARE FREE AT LAST....WHAT AN HISTORIC DAY FOR THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA...TODAY I AM VERY PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN ...A DEMOCRAT AND AM JUST SO GARD DARN HAPPY...HIGH FIVE TO KEITH OLBERMAN...AND BY THE WAY CHUCK TODD AND THE FIRST READ GANG FEEL LIKE EXTENDED FAMILY AT THIS POINT ....THANKS GUYS AND GALS HOPE YOU CONTINUE CAUSE I'LL MISS YA....HAPPY HAPPY GLAD GLAD....GO OBAMA...GO DEMOCRATS...GO AWAY McCAIN
I watch the Brian Williams show because it is usually unbiased. Today, however, his inclusion of Tim Russert with his unseemly glee at Obama's victory over Clinton, has made me think twice as to my choice of newsmen. What has happened to the first rule of journalism?
Oh!

We've waited so long for this day to come. Given that the last primaries are being contested today, the  finality of this leg of the election cylcle is nothing short of miraculously surreal.

Today is one of the best days in my entire life!

As a 57 year old, married woman of 32 years, with 3 children, one of which is a medical doctor, another a physics engineer, and the last a pizza delivery man, (who would benefit from one of those jobs that were shipped overseas), and a new grandma of 18 mos., that's saying a whole lot!

Congratulations all around, my dear friends!
Okay, SUPERS, PAUSE.
Let the SD and MT voters decide it.
Then flood the joint.
Congratulations Barack Obama.

Also to Hillary and your supporters.  =)

Now let's go kick some McSame.
Stay away from poison Hillary and her divisive, dishonest, politics of the psst.  Make a clean break and lead in a positive way.
Yeah Baby, tonight's the night that Barack Obama wins the Democratic Party nomination, no more doubt now.  So cool the way he orchestrated getting his superdelegates to endorse so that the voters of South Dakota and Montana will put him over the top.

I could care less if Hillary now wants to be Barack's VP.  She spent the past 3 months backstabbing Obama and she does not deserve to have that important slot.  I seriously doubt that we Obama supporters could stomach more of the Hill and Bill show of verbal gaffes.  Time to let Obama and his great campaign staff figure out who will best serve Barack as VP for the general election.

Go Obama 08/12!

Typical Sweetie (Sent Tuesday, June 03, 2008 1:14 PM)

On one hand I am exuberant about my candidate EARNING the nomination. On the other, I am appalled at the fierce hatred displayed by women such as “Typical Sweetie”.  I believe that there should be no less than EQUALITY for both “MEN” and “WOMEN” of any COLOR. I would ask that you put a realistic value to your discontent, and reflect the long term consequences of your decision. How will you explain your hatred driven choice to your children? I can only hope the voters, such as “Typical Sweetie” will be able to vote their conscience.
.
The alternative is an Emotional Old Man wandering aimlessly in the Whitehouse rattling his sword.

Our Troops deserve more than your scorn. In fact a vote as described above, shows only contempt for our Service Men and Women forced to return to an ill conceived battle, as well as America herself.

Display your Intelligence.

Life is Good.
HIGH FIVE SO THANKFUL SO JOYFUL....BEEN A SLOW TRAIN COMING BUT THE TRAIN IS PULLING INTO THE STATION AND WERE ALL INVITED AND GETTING ON BOARD...OH HAPPY DAY
Echoing others, I too can't believe it's almost over.  What a relief.

While I think Hillary, on her own, would be a fine VP, I do not like the idea of her carrying Bill's baggage into the equation.  It would be like waving a red flag in front of the bulls (aka Republicans).

Now we can move on to McSame.  November, here we come!!
Why is MSNBC posting the so-called popular vote?  There is no way to objectively tally this.  Does it include some, all or no caucasses?  Does it include some, all or none of Michegan and Florida?

This seems to be a shameful attempt to continue to stoke controversy between Clinton and Obama camps and to falsely call the Democratic Party nominating process into question.

Honestly, whomever Sen Obama wants to chose as his running mate is fine with me.  George Bush chose for his cabinent only people that agreed with his ideals.  Like Pres Lincoln, Sen Obama will choose people that do not necessarily agree with him.  So, it will be a change if he does pick Sen Clinton.  It will be his choice and I will support it.
with all the Veep talk...well...lets see...whats important in November? ...Not having this ticket or letting Nov go to the other party?
As a football coach for 19 years, one of thing I have learned is this.  In every contest there is a teacher and a student. Hillary and Bill Clinton for the last 28 years have always been the teachers.  However, in this contest they are they are now the students, Obama has overcame insurmountable odds.  He has overcome his race, age, experience, his wired name, his religious affiliations, his gaffes and one the fiercest competitors in political history in America the Clinton Dynasty.

We must all understand that what Obama has done is just purely remarkable and should not be taken lightly.  As a man of color myself I stand in awe and want to thank every American that can see beyond the outer layer of Obama and who has judged him by what’s in his heart and not by his outer layer.

To all the Hillary Clinton Supporters I hope you all can over come you disappointment and anger before November.  I will be the first with my arms open and embrace all of you.  I urge all of us Obama supporters to reach out to all the Clinton people and bring them in with love and understanding.  Tell the Clinton supporters we need them and we can’t do it with out them.  Welcome them to a new and better America and the Obama campaign that is set to lift America to a Higher Ground!

God Bless you all!
God Bless America!

Obama 08
Exciting!  I just wish you'd take that ridiculous popular vote ticker off the bottom of my screen.  It says "excluding Michigan" but leaves out the caucus states.
HURRAY!  Now, let's all remember how excited most of us were for BOTH candidates in the beginning of this race.  The candidates are so similar in policy (though I would argue Obama's foreign policy, economic plan, and health care plan are superior).

Clinton supporters, we understand you are disappointed and hope you can accept Obama as your second choice. Obama supporters, I know we have all been upset recently, but let's find love and compassion and represent Senator Obama and the Democratic party well by showing Senator Clinton and her supporters due respect.

I became an Obama supporter after watching the first few debates, and though I haven't liked many things that have happened, I am going to swallow the bile and do my best to promote the unity of the democratic party and our nation. I will also pray we have a wonderful female president in my lifetime.
McCain 2008 Yes!!!!!!
Hey Chuck - Great work so far this evening. Just a quick point of info. Looks like MSNBC is off on the popular vote count. You are not including the caucus states, right? And, why not? Also, did you give Obama votes from Michigan? Let me know. Thanks!

To whomever is approving this message:

Please contact your superiors and verify MSNBC's advertising policy.  If blatant advertising is allowed, I will begin posting blatant ads for my business, too.  This is why you have moderation!  You don't want your blog to become an advertiser's bulletin board.
So to all of the naysayers who were flooding the boards and saying that the "Superdelegate Flood" towards Obama would not happen, what do you say now?

It looks like a flood to me.

Anyhow I think the people who claim to be Hillary supporters are really Republican Flame Baiting Message Board trolls looking to start problems.

Obama/Clinton 2008 and 2012.
I believed in his candidacy from day one.

This is truly a magnificent day.
Rick, KY - I've read many of your thoughtful posts and know you present the best that Kentucky has to offer as a Democrat and an American. Glad to be a fellow Obama supporter with you!
I've got the champagne on ice. I am so proud of this country tonight.

How many delegates for Obama are presently counted from Texas?  There are still 38 delegates yet to be committed pending the June 5-8 State Convention.
Somewhere out there MLK is smiling now.
It's finally OVER!!!!!!!!! YAHOOOO!!!!! Now onto the general...
Congratulations to all us.   Now on to the GE!!!!!!

Barack Obama will be giving his speech at the Democratic Convention on August 28th.  On August 28th 1963, Martin Luther King gave the "I Have a Dream" Speech. Whatever you might not like about Obama is one thing but you cannot deny that this will be a very especial moment for America.

Martin Luther King paved the way for Barack Obama and on August 28th 2008, Barack Obama will pave the way for millions of americans that believe that we can't achieve our dreams.  Well I have three words for you...

Yes We Can!!!
HELLO????   Super Delegates don't vote until the convention.  They can change their minds as often as they want until then.  So why are you adding them to Obama's Delegates?   I believe he will be the nominee, but how about doing it without the magical math?
Congratulations to the Democrats.  You just nominated someone who is unelectable in the fall.  Don't try to blame Clinton in the fall.  You were the one's that were so rude and mean spirited.  You deserve to loss and you will.  I will vote for McCain.  Thats my big wet kiss off to you Obaminates who hate the Clintons.
give yourselves a round of applause for all your hard work! WE DID IT!
it was worth it and tonight we can celebrate!
Just tonight though, because tomorrow we start to beat McCain!
YES WE CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I keep seeing popular vote totals on MSNBC. How are the caucus states calculated into popular vote?
This is a historic moment and so exciting. Please people, stop being so negative and really think about what this means to the country. An African-American is the democratic nominee. The world is watching and is celebrating with us.
