HRC backer launching VP petition drive

Posted: Tuesday, June 03, 2008 9:35 PM by Mark Murray

From NBC/NJ's Matthew E. Berger
NEW YORK, NY -- Clinton friend and supporter Lanny Davis is announcing this evening a petition drive to make Hillary Clinton the Democratic vice presidential nominee.

Davis, holding court outside the Baruch College gym Tuesday night, said he was starting the petition drive without the coordination of the Clinton campaign, and without their endorsement. He said a Web site would launch at midnight at www.womenforfairpolitics.com.

"Obama can win without her, but he can't lose with her," Davis said, noting Clinton on the ticket would help the Democratic party win women and Hispanic voters in particular.

Davis served as special counsel during the Clinton administration.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Don't do it Obama. The Clintons have too much baggage. Bill Clinton is undisciplined and Hillary is too selfish and calculating. Why can't she suspend her campaign and congratulate Obama like all other major candidates did? She can't even let him enjoy his historic victory without injecting the thought of her being the VP pick.
After her little display tonight, she just needs to crawl into a hole and disappear.  It is obvious she has a severe case of narcissistic personality disorder and Bill is her enabler.  Obama can win without her and her hormonal bitters.  Enough is enough, he and we owe her nothing.  BTW, the popular vote is a myth, she is disenfranchising caucus voters.  Count them and Obama blows her out of the water.  Goodbye Hill & Bill and good riddance.
Lanny Davis is a 'slimy' 'scumbag,' detached from rational thought and reality.  Seeing him on CNN ranting irately and praising Sen. Clinton while trashing Sen. Obama, distorting Obama’s positions, further galvanized me to vote for Sen. Obama and despise the Clintons and their cabal of ‘scumbags.’
Give it up Lanny.  After this campaign she is as toxic as Bush.  Enough already.  NO MORE DRAMA.  It is time for change.
I don't like the idea of a Clinton VP. I worry that she may try to undermine Obama's Presidency every step of the way.

I don't like the idea in the least bit.

That said, after watching John McCain's speech tonight, I am willing to put all that aside and support Obama just as strongly with Clinton as his VP as without.

I've seen too much of him voting with Bush 95% of the time since 2000, to stomach watching him come out like he is suddenly so far from him.

He says he doesn't work for ambition, yet turns around and admits to voting against his conscious for, "All the wrong reasons. For Ambition."

This cannot stand.

Change. Yeah. We want one Clinton ducking imaginary sniper fire and
not paying her bills as a VP, while the other, 61-year-old
Clinton is running around publicly calling respectable reporters 'scumbags' and hanging with rich sleaze no one's daughter should go near.
DOn't DO IT! Tell Lanny the Clinton lapdog just where he can store that
petition.
It's time for HRC and WJC to turn out the lights...
It is the job of the nominee to pick his/her running mate. Why is it that once again, Hillary thinks it is SHE that makes the rules? Unbelievable!!!!
