Beer-marks?

Posted: Tuesday, June 10, 2008 11:01 AM by Mark Murray

From NBC/NJ's Carrie Dann
WASHINGTON, DC -- And you thought a small businesses address would be boring!

In addition to a series of protestors, there were two straight-to-Daily-Show moments from McCain's remarks today -- one intentional and one, well, not so much.

First, in speaking about his proposal for joint town hall meetings with Obama, McCain said -- following the prepared remarks -- that he would like to travel with his rival by air. Then, going off script, the famously-downed navy pilot said, "I promise not to try to fly."

Much more hilariously, a misreading of the teleprompter led McCain to sound a little bit more like a teetotaler fraternity president than a presidential candidate. Speaking about his use of the veto pen to eliminate wasteful spending, he declared, "I will veto every single beer, um, bill with earmarks."

"I will veto beer!" (Insert craxy smile here...).

I will then veto Cleveland, uh, I mean, I will veto taxes on my multi millionaire friends and their corportaions (again insert crazy smile).

I will not veto a new war with Iran - (insert - bomb bomb bomb Iran and the insert a very scaty smile).
Regardless how cute Johnny Mc thinks he is - we must remember that the person we elect is going to be the face of the United States to the rest of the world. Personally, I'd prefer to see someone that offers hope and friendship with others rather than business-as-Bush- usual.Go O
McCain understands that the Bush legacy must be continued.  It's not about the economy stupid, it's about saving our children's children from the false teaching of Islam.  Are you really willing to sell the world down that river so that you can have a better job or save a few cents at the pump?  McCain in 08!
Here's what mccain and republicans aren't saying...they didn't make the tax custs permanent because they had no guts...
Will the Real John McCain Please Stand Up Here's his record and these are few

The War in Iraq has balooned the National Debt  from a Surplus in 2000 to 5.7 Trillion in June 2001 when the first tax cuts were enacted to $9.4 Trillion Today 6/9/2008. That’s 3.7 Trillion in New Debt just as Medicare and Social Security are reaching Crisis proportions.  A Significant amount of the Deficit is owed to Foreign Banks.

A Barrel of Oil was $28.00 before the US invaded Iraq now it $139.00 a Barrel

Voted Against the bill to raise minimum wage 8 times

Refused to go back to Washington on Thursday to Vote to give Women Rights For Equal Pay on the same jobs as MEN.  Women are you really listening?

What sparked the Bill in Congress was a woman, Lilly Ledbetter who worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co, after 20 years found out that she was paid 40% less than the men on the same job. This means she will get significantly less then the men on the job in Social Security and Pension Benefits at retirement.
The bill sought to counteract a Supreme Court decision limiting how long workers can wait before suing for pay discrimination.

Voted against Equal Pay Law ; the right to give Women the same pay as men because and the President said it would cause Women to file Lawsuits.  Funny they did not think if Employers would not discriminate in the pay scales there would not be a need to file a lawsuit.   Sounds like Sen.McCain and the President expect Employers to keep paying women less for the same job.

NEW ORLEANS — Republican Sen. John McCain, campaigning through poverty-stricken cities and towns, said Wednesday he opposes a Senate bill that seeks equal pay for women because it would lead to more lawsuits.

Senate Republicans killed the bill Wednesday night on a 56-42 vote that denied the measure the 60 votes needed to advance it to full debate and a vote. Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., had delayed the vote to give McCain's Democratic rivals, Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama, time to return to Washington to support the measure, which would make it easier for women to sue their employers for pay discrimination.

McCain skipped the vote to campaign in New Orleans.
"I am all in favor of pay equity for women, but this kind of legislation, as is typical of what's being proposed by my friends on the other side of the aisle, opens us up to lawsuits for all kinds of problems," the expected GOP presidential nominee told reporters. "This is government playing a much, much greater role in the business of a private enterprise system."
Boy the Obama fans on this board are sure drinking the Hater-Aid, too bad McCain will be your next president, next time the DNC will learn to put up an electable candidate....

Of course MSNBC "AKA The Obama Network" would never post this....
First he was for beer, now he's against it.
I could be wrong, but I do not see the republicans going with John McCain, this hombre is a joke for a canadite of any kind.
The republicans must have better, almost anyone would be a better choice than McCain.
