From NBC/NJ's Carrie Dann
Worth noting: McCain's finance events tonight in New York City are not open to the press pool as yesterday's highly touted open events in DC and Virginia were. The reason, per the campaign, is that the senator is not delivering remarks -- he will be mingling with attendees one-on-one.

That's in keeping with the campaign's policy as reported by Kelly O'Donnell, who wrote over the weekend that, "The campaign expects to include a print pool with no still or video coverage inside fundraisers where McCain appears and makes remarks."

One of the receptions tonight takes place at NYC's 21 Club. According to the invitation, available on McCain's website, tickets go for $28,500 per person.

OBAMA '08 & '12
Boy, you guys like to dig McCain on this issue! What about obama's fundraiser in SF? No press was allowed there. Remember the "bitter" remarks about "small town America"?
McBegging on his knees to take it anyway they want, just not on tape.
$28,500 to go and see this loon??? These are the people and corporate businesses who receive the Bush tax breaks.

OBAMA, 2008!
30,000 a ticket.  Sure.  That is the right kind of change isn't it?!

Nov 4th can't come fast enough!  We need to put this monkey back in his lobbyist cage!
There's a reason he's not delivering remarks.

Someone might record them.  It's taken this neoconderthal a while, but he's starting to learn just how inconvenient modern technology can be.

The more things change, the more they remain McSame
Who sings 'Old Man River' at Barack's fundraisers? Michelle?
" ...tickets go for $28,500 per person."
--Sounds to me like an ingenious and legal way past the $2,300 maximum.  But I honestly and admittedly don't understand campaign finance, nor campaign finance reform.
So much for transparency to the public...
Hiding, hiding, hiding.

Haven't we had enough hiding behind closed doors lately.  Nothing good comes of it for the American people.  Look at the closed-door policies of the last two administrations and see where they got us!
That's fair. Every second of these people's lives should not be televised.

Mind you, he's having a bad week & he might get some good press being personable at a mix & mingle.

He's trying to focus on economic policy & all we'll remember from this week is that Beer might get vetoed.
These petty personal attacks on McCain's age are getting "old" already. Policy, character, experience, and general philosophy should be the only reasonable grounds to debate. Remember McCain is a vet who has served his country one way or another for decades now, have some respect! Especially from those who tout a "change" in politics.

***Don't be confused, michelle is the best campaigner MCCAIN has!
What's he hiding? I thought he said fundraisers would be open to print reporters. I don't like that Jim Johnson is on Obama's vetting team, but wasn't it just yesterday that McCain was hammering away on his transparency?
Kids in diapers and snot on their nose will never understand this. Might as well volunteer your efforts to McCain than waste it in Obama.
Problem is, you can give Johnny Mac all the money in the world and his message isn't going to change.  Why buy the pig lipstick?
[[ Mind you, he's having a bad week & he might get some good press being personable at a mix & mingle. ]]

I guess if having a bad week shows you up in the polls for the electoral college, and gaining in key states, then I guess JM will be happy with that 'bad week'.
flip flop
Bobbi in WI is still bitter!
The Saudis and white supremists are a bit camera shy.
$28,500 per person? What a man of the people!

It's real, check it out here and email the contact, that price can't be right! =)

Lobbists, PAC Managers, Super Rich, Exxon Excutives, don't want their picture takes.  The GOP voted against raising taxes on Oil Companies.  It must be pay back time.  It is time to turn the page on this crap.

Yes, Democrat, look where it got us.  Mr. Obama calling small town mid-westerners bigots, gun-toting, bible thumpers while in his "hidden" fundraiser in San Fransisco.
" Why buy the pig lipstick? "

iowan - leave Michelle out of this lest you get a good talk'en to from her man.

In other words, he can flip flop all he wants and it won't be recorded. I don't care if he WAS a POW, the man is creepy strange.....watch him. He's not right.
Age is a very important issue. I study the brain, and I know that the mind declines with age, and rapidly at old age.
Sure he is healthy, but is his brain healthy? We should require candidates to have IQ tests, and other tests of other thinking skills taken and provided to the public.

McLast graduated at the bottom of his naval academy, and has never been known as sharp. Now his brain is old, and IQ declines with age.
McCains a real navy man and hero and doesn't have to put everything on the news.  The news people are all liberals who make lot of money so don't care if a liar Obama gets elected and loses our wars.  That would make news to.  Tax and spend or a hero who has suffered so much that women from Hilrey Clinton are voting for him.
Sing along time:

Ol' man Johnny,
Dat ol' man Johnny
He mus'know sumpin'
But don't say nuthin',
He jes'keeps rollin'
He keeps on rollin' along
I am 50 years old, white, female and have two college degrees--home for the summer, not on the clock, so I can freely post and I would like to say I am not any snooty nosed young 'un!  I know my mind well and I read exceptionally well. I have concluded that Senator Obama is indeed the only reasonable choice Americans have this fall.  Senator Obama is the finest, most intelligent, and most responsible candidate I have ever witnessed.  I'm sick of McCain's lies, flubs and boring, mundane drolling!

Sounds like advice from a high school drop-out.  Take a college level economics course buddy...I'll take taxes at pre-bush levels than our country paying out a would be trillion dollars in interest a year after a mccain term.

These people will be the same people going "wha happened?" when we face being broke as a nation.  If you cut taxes, you have to use PAYGO.  Period.

Where have all the McSame bloggers come from.  Oh, yeah I forgot they hired them.  It started about 2 weeks ago.  I have a question how much is McCain paying you.  By the way, I'll take the economy from the 90''s any day over the last 8 years.  Take a look around dummies, how much are paying for gas and milk?  It will be a heck of a  lot more if McSame gets in.
