Teasing today's NBC/WSJ poll, part 2

Posted: Wednesday, June 11, 2008 4:37 PM by Mark Murray

From NBC's Mark Murray
Here's a second question that we're releasing: 54 percent say that they’re looking for a new president who would bring greater changes to current policies, even if that person is less experienced and tested. By contrast, 42 percent say they’d rather have a more experienced and tested person become president, even if that means fewer changes to current policies.

The rest of the poll will come out at 6:30 pm on NBC Nightly News and MSNBC.com.

I'm rolling up my sleeves and getting ready to work for Senator Obama-----Yes We Can
Getting to the end of the survey now. Would you prefer to be driven to the poorhouse by:
a) a democrat
b) a republican
c) it doesnt matter
Yeah, change that we so desparately need and can believe in -- moving forward.

It's time to come together for our country.  Bush/Cheney have created a fascist state with corporations running our government.

It's time to join together to work towards electing a Democratic President with a workable Democratic majority in both the House and the Senate.

This time do something smart and vote for your wallet, vote for the economy, vote for the environment, vote for jobs, vote for America!

Vote for the smartest candidate in the race, a real leader (and no that's not McCain -- not by a long shot)

Vote Democratic 2008 -- don't let the corporations and their Republican stooges win again.
This poll is boding well for Obama...54% reject McBush's policy. That is good for Barack
I know it's early, but these polls are looking better and better on a daily basis.

OBAMA/BIDEN, 2008!
Why didnt they poll the population to see how many wanted an over the hill cartoon character that can wave his stubby arms, stammer a lot and blink.
Thanks for the reminder; I had forgotten to set the TIVO.
Thats good, we need to keep the pressure on the Rethuglicans until November!
My friends it's time to chnge my depends!
"42 percent say they’d rather have a more experienced and tested person become president, even if that means fewer changes to current policies."

So they want someone who has experience...at keeping us where we are.

That's just confusing.
Now really what does McBush have going for him?  He's been in Washington since his birth in 1800 and now he's all about change?  McCain, I liked you in 2000, but you sold yourself to the devil in 2004 and then your evangelical rear-end kissing tour of 2007, well you really are just another Bush.
Polls don't matter until after the conventions are over.  Remember when Bush led Kerry by 7 the entire summer, then Kerry closed the gap after the first debate and started leading in some polls?  Then Kerry blew it by being totally lame and not responding to the Swift Boaters among other things.
I usually dislike bashing MSM on coverage because what goes around, comes around.

Once friendly towards this person, in an instant they will turn around and begin to bash the very same by covering every chink in their armor.

When Bush took office and passed bi-partisan bills one after the other, then united the country after 9-11.... MSM left the chinks alone and only looked at the shine on Bush's armor.

It is my hope that during this political process, both Obama's and McCain chinks are examined with the same intensity. So far, it has been glowingly one-sided. Or rather, glaringly.

In the poll above, did you ask if the potential voter would choose a candidate who would bring change and had the experience to do it?

I refuse to follow anyone who wants to lead my country towards defeat!
McCain '08
What the polls will show as we get closer to the election is that McCain is unelectable and a frickin bum.. I have tried to close my eyes and listen to what John McCain has to say.. and I have concluded that I can only get a great power napp in the middle of the day listening to his speeches.. I mean this guy sounds like a tape recorded message playing in the elevator.. No inspiration for me to want to get involved in politics and gov't.. But I am sure that is just the way that the repubs would love it to be.. lull us to sleep while they rob us blind.. I mean I have 65 year old mother in law and she is so behind the times and out of touch with the world as it is today.  I wonder if McCain even knows how to use a computer.. he is just OLD news.. and the republicans say that this is the BEST candidate they could offer this election cycle.. WOW.. THAT is well SAD!!
My friends it's time to chnge my depends!

OMG is that funny!!!!!!
By contrast, 42 percent say they’d rather have a more experienced and tested person become president, even if that means fewer changes to current policies.

Show these voters a video of McCain's infamous temper.

Then poll 'em again.
In other words, if Obama selects a VP with lots of experience, its Obama by a landslide.
Like I've said before, I'd rather take the unbeaten path rather than stay in the same sink hole!!

Here's a good read for all "Who moved my cheese".

Obama 08!
Bush/Cheney have created a fascist state with corporations running our government.  The Republican Congress has "borrowed and spent" us into an inresponsibly huge deficit, with the paper being held by the Chinese and some oil rich states in the Middle East, and now McCain wants to borrow MORE?
From an earlier post...

--------------------------------------------------

I think it's a very tricky thing for obama and supporters to attack McCain on anything military related. McCain is talking about stabilizing Iraq. To pull out completely without leaving any support structure would be a disaster. Lets take a second to review what happens when we abandon an unstable country with little to no infrastructure (thanks to us) and a generation of orphans (thanks to us).
**AFGANASTAN IN THE 80'S
There is no more perfect recipe for growing terrorists than that. I would go so far as to say it's completely immoral to leave those people in the conditions we've created!

EXCUSE ME???

Bobbi, what on earth are you suggesting here?

Afghanistan in the 1980s was invaded by the Soviet Union.  Are you HONESTLY suggesting that we should have gotten actively involved in an armed conflict with the Soviets over Afghanistan in the 1980s?

If we did...WE WOULD NOT BE HERE HAVING THIS DISCUSSION AS WE ALL WOULD HAVE BEEN VAPORIZED!!!

It's interesting to note, though, that the CIA did get involved in Afghanistan in the 1980s...

They found a young, up-and-coming "freedom fighter" and gave him money and training and weapons.

His name was Osama bin Laden.
Change is not flip flopping John McCain on tax's. It is not having surrogates who expound on the virtues of outsourcing and not taxing profits from those companies that moved oversees. ( look at the HP former Chairperson.  She screwed up the HP/ Compaq merger.  Illegally wiretapped employees( Bush would be proud) and believes in the use of offshore tax entities). In other words she is the type of corporate fat cat who the K street lobbyists were in bed with.  So John McCain where is YOUR judgement on having such a high profile corporate greed advocate on your team.
Hell, I say show them the article about how McCain was viewed as a hero for aiding the Viet Cong while others were court martialed.  I read that article today and just shook my head.  I hope the DEMs hold that as a trump card if the GOP campaign gets too dirty and off the real issues.
Jerry in Corpus Crist is right Obamas no rock star he's a lliberl liar and will keep taxing us and would lose all our wars.  Navy man John McCain does not rent huge places but talks to people one to one.  He's a hero and now with Hilreys women voters all coming to vote republican we will win the white house for three straight terms of morality especially if we get VP Huckabee.

Jerry,

Powerful endorsement. You must be proud.
That poll result sounds like the same mindset that gave us Jimmy Carter.  Many had changed their minds even before election day 1976, and of course many more thereafter.
::Sniff:: ::Sniff::

I smell a landslide victory for Obama in November! Lmao!
54% I thought your "saviour" would have a much more commanding lead once Clinton suspended her campaign. I find this to be very telling.I will be interested to see how this race will end. I predict a close race, with a McCain win in Nov.You can chalk the dems loss up to once again going for "style over substance".
Divine providence.  I hope Obama can win Ohio.  He might need Hillary or Strickland.
I hate living in backwards Alabama right now!  It makes me sick that we only poll at 33% for Senator Obama. There are a ton of church-going folks that think he is a Muslim and they won't even listen.  That is exactly why I hate the republican party.  If you have to lie and smear others to get what you want then you do not deserve to win and that's just what they do.

I'm is going to show my OBAMA bumper sticker in my back car window all over town!
Obama 08
Capt smash... I had a friend named smash once. Wonder if that is you lol.
Capt.Smash You Da Man!
The only poll that matters is the in November.
By then Dole oops I mean McSame should be ripe for the kicking.
The Rethuglican brand is so damaged that if it were dog food it would be pulled off the shelf.

Obama in '08
... hmmmm, experience in what?  Being in Washington longer than the White House, itself?  What experience does McCain have over Obama?  Last time I checked neither of these candidates has ever been president of the US and neither has talked policy with a foreign leader.

On second thought, how much experience does Bush have and where has that gotten us?  Experience is overrated... being a good president boils down to two things

1.  being able to listen to your expert staff and

2.  being able to effectively communicate

... as we know McCrumble definitely lacks the "communicate" part and since alot of his "experts" support Bush ideas... I'd hardly call them experts.

Sounds like Barack Obama's team wrote the poll. Oh, wait, NBC had a hand in it, so one of Obama's major supporters did have a hand in collection the data.

Hey genius - you can't spell, type, or form coherent sentences, and now you are stealing others ideas?

I POSTED THAT SONG LIKE 2 MONTHS AGO!

If you expect anyone to take you seriously, you might want to check into that!
