From NBC's Lauren Appelbaum
On the Hill today, Hillary Clinton responded to statements that her husband is not enthusiastic about campaigning for Obama, telling reporters Bill "has said he will do whatever he can and whatever he's asked."

"I am going to be campaigning on Friday, and my husband is in Europe right now," the New York senator explained after meeting with the House Democratic Caucus. "He is attending President Mandela's 90th birthday party today in London. And there will be a lot of work for all of us as Democrats to do, including him."

Clinton also said she is "excited about getting back to work here in the Congress" and working with Obama to take back control of the White House. "This election is a make-or-break election, and I am 100% committed to do everything I possibly can to make sure that Sen. Obama is sworn in as the next president of the United States next January here in this Capitol, that we add to our numbers in the House and especially in the Senate, because the American people are yearning for results, for solutions."

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), appearing with Clinton, commended Clinton on her run. "Because of her campaign, the Democratic Party is much more energized, is much more prepared to win in November,” Pelosi said, “and more important than that, much better prepared to govern come January."

While speaking to the reports gathered did any of them notice if Ms. Pelosi was also trying to remove the knife from Clinton's back?
OHHH Whadoyouknow !

Another Clinton article ... I wonder what happened to Giuliani, Romney and Huckabee.
Do they still get this much coverage.

MSNBC's agenda is to keep us fixated on Hillary Clinton... keep her in the news as much as possible, so that if Barack doesn't pick her as his veep, there will be another "outrage" manufactured by the media.

MSNBC ... YOUR OBSESSION WITH THE CLINTON'S  is turning a lot of viewers off.
Joe Scarborough, Dan Abrams and Pat Buchanan... Biggest culprits.
We now know your agenda.
Stop it !
Why are people still asking the question is Bill committed to helping Obama?

Come on MSNBC, this is not news.  Some say Bill will help, some say Bill will hurt Obama's run.  Let's just wait and see.

A person can't win, if he doesn't say enough it's bad, if he says too much; it's not a good sign for Obama, because the news will be Bill is trying to show Obama up or whatever...too much drama!
Here is some news:

WASHINGTON (AP) — Bob Dylan. Yo-Yo Ma. Sheryl Crow. Jay-Z. These aren't musical acts in a summer concert series: They're artists featured on Barack Obama's iPod.

"I have pretty eclectic tastes," the Democratic presidential contender said in an interview to be published in Friday's issue of Rolling Stone.

Growing up in the '70s, Obama said, he listened to the Rolling Stones, Elton John and Earth, Wind & Fire. Stevie Wonder is his musical hero from the era. The Stones' "Gimme Shelter" tops his favorites from the band.

Lets talk about what kinf of music Mcwar listens to:

McWar does not have a IPOD he has his 8-Track tapes and he listens to the mama's and the papa's. He thinks about the good old days when he use to drop Napalm in the jungles of Vietnam.
Give Clinton a break. The guys in Europe right now. He'll eventually get around to showing up with Obama. Everyone knows that this election is too important to screw up.
32 Cubans were just smuggled in the other day & waited around for the police to pick them up so they could go get their new green cards and a job. Where is Homeland Security?  I just don't feel safe with the Republicans in charge. If they can't stop 32 illegal Cubans from arriving here on our shores, you think they will protect you from another 9/11? I think not!

Obama for POTUS
The obamamites need to get over themselves...the clintons don't owe barry anything..he beat them so now its his to win or lose...stop trying to come up with excuses if barry loses this fall...it won't be the clintons fault, it will be the fact we don't like robinhood liberals in this country
I was not an admirer of Hillary's when she was campaigning (I thought she hit below the belt, among other things.) But I truly admire the grace with which she conceded and her apparently enthusiastic effort to work on behalf of the Democratic Party. She's going to earn tons of political capital. She's risen in the esteem of this voter. I am most impressed.
For the rest of this election season, are we going to be subjected to the Clintons being used as yardsticks in writing about Obama?

Every time their name is mentioned in conjuction with Obama's campaign, it just brings out more of their whiny supporters and their contentions that she should be VP or worse that Obama wronged them.

I dont care what the Clintons are doing, I dont trust them to campaign, raise funds, whatever, for Obama and for the good of the country, stop trying to push them on to us.  And I certainly do not want of my hard earned money to go to help them payoff their debt.  They can afford to eat it, most of that debt was incurred after Super Tuesday when she should have dropped out.   Ego and arrogance have a price.
Hillary, I was made at ya back during the primaries, but Speaker Pelosi was correct, in that, you made Sen. Obama a better candidate and he will be a better Prez after January. Thank you. I know that you and Bill will do all that you can to help Barack win the White House.

I still think that you're a Republican, though.

GO OBAMA/BIDEN 08/12
I'm NOT a Bill Clinton fan....

But, the media is being a little picky on him
He ENDORSED Obama...
Leave it at that

He doesn't have to prove himself a committed Democrat

I hope (and think) he'll do some targetted campaigning for Obama

It may be more important for him to campaign for selected Senators and Congresspeople

Getting a 'filibuster proof' majority of 60 in the Senate would be sweet....

But, it does seem a long shot...

Obama/Edwards '08
Our BEST ticket

Obama/Biden '08
A good ticket

Obama SI !, McCain NO !
Anyone ask Fancy Pants Nance when she's going to get to work on gas prices? She told voters two years ago that "If you elect Democrats, they'd change the gas prices". I guess that's true, they've doubled since then. Promise kept, I guess.
Nancy Pelosi is full of crap too, by the way.
Hey Nancy....how come you and your counterpart in The Senate, Harry Reid, couldn't/didn't get us out of Iraq LIKE YOU PROMISED?

Too bad you turned your back on Hillary when she needed you Nancy.
Don't cry about it if Bill Clinton does the same thing to Obama!
Surprisingly, Sen. Clinton has handled her defeat much better than I thought she would.

Now if we could just get her supporters to do that same.....

I really hope to GOD that common-sense Democrats take a good look at Barack HUSEIN OBama and vote against him.
This man is BAD for the country...and even though I am a Democrat, MY COUNTRY COMES FIRST.

Honesty and integrity matter. Barack Obama has NEITHER.
Do Hillary and Nancy shop at the same place for their pant-suits? Walmart, right?
Mandela? He still around? See Repuublicans, a good dose of socialism never hurt anybody.

Obama/08
In case someone has lost sight of the goal.  It's about winning in November.  By the way...Huffington Post is reporting that McOld in 2006 said, "We are in the early stages of WWIII. and the Headline is 'WWIII would justify the draft.  I don't think he was going to get many youth votes anyway.  But this statement will bring them to the polls.  How many times per day can McOld open mouth and insert foot?
That's right Billy C., you be a good little boy and campaign real hard for the next great President of the United States, Barack Obama. You get your little hinnie out on that trail every day and make the case for Barack, Billie Boy. And your better sound sincere, otherwise who knows who's taxes will get a little added attention when Barack is the Prez. Same goes for that little wifey of yours.

Barack ! 08/12
It would be a great photo op to get Mandela and Obama on the stage together. One man showed that socialism can work, the other will perfect it after he's elected. In a couple of years, they can both show off their Nobel Peace Prizes. Where's your peace prize Hillary? Just as I thought, you don't have one. The Clintons are losers. And won't even talk about that idiot McCain.
The Dems hvae solutions? Raisning taxes, banning drilling, banning nukes, killing coal, and smooching with terrorists. Talk is cheap and the results will be expensive. Obamatrons will swallow anythingthat O'bamboozle throws at em.
With Senator Clinton’s full commitment to backing Barack, the polls will reflect a solid surge in the coming weeks.
I have watched the petty bickering posted here (prompted by Republican supporters) with great optimism. If you step back and review the content for their baseless or weak innuendos, you can smell the fear in every small minded attack.
Humorous really…
As a registered Republican, I am pleased to say that my vote will be counted in the GE for Barack Obama.
The Clinton's are going through the motions ...they know he's going to win ....Obama will say the right things also ...but in reality .... its a changing of the guard in the Democratic party ....and hopefully in America
Anyone remember how long it took for Bush the Elder to get over 1992? Let's not kid ourselves, public sentiments aside, our favorite political couple will be yelling "Yes, We Can" through clenched teeth if the ticket doesn't have them (yes, THEM) on it.
Worry about the Senate and wait for 2012. McCain can't have 2 terms.
Bottom line: It's all about winning the White House,  that is the goal.  And it's getting down to crunch time, no time for waxing about what might have been.  She sounds committed and I commend her for her attitude.  But the way business gets done, and this is business in the real sense, the question must be asked "what does Hillery really want and what does Barack really gain".

If it were me, I'd insist that she work as hard for me as she did for herself in the Primary and if the final result was that I won the White House I'd be more than happy to pay her debt.  Otherwise, If we (Democrats) lose in November, then all bets are off.  That way I can be certain she (and Bill) work their hardest and everybody wins.  She comes off as a champion and he rehabilitates his legacy.

That would be Barack, Hillery and Bills excellent adventure!!!
Thank you MSNBC for continuing your coverage of Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Keep's me watching and reading with enthusiasm!!!
No Dem would post some of the garbage attacks against Barack Obama that you see here.  This is typical Republican fear mongering and sneak attacks.  Don't buy into this garbage.
The Republican on this blog need to get over it. The Dems are already more unified behind Obama than they are behind McWar! He had 3 months to get his act together and come up with a GE plan. He has done nothing in 20+ years to get us off our oil dependacy. Now he want to borrower more money from China to pay someone 300 million to come up with a different way to run or cars. John McDrill its time for you to retire.

Obama/Hagel 08 Real Unity
That's funny given we still have Mandela down as a terrorist (we supported Aparthied back then). Maybe we should clean that list up before this man passes away!
The Dems hvae solutions? Raisning taxes, banning drilling, banning nukes, killing coal, and smooching with terrorists. Talk is cheap and the results will be expensive. Obamatrons will swallow anythingthat O'bamboozle throws at em.

Got that confederate flag on your wall, dontcha sparky?  Try doing some research before flapping your gum, bubba.
Hey MSNBC what are the other canidates up too who got beat in the primaries. Hillary lost the nomination weeks ago, why are you still talking about her. More artical about McCain and Obama. Obama is going to pay her 10 million toward her depth she spent smearing him for the Republicans.

Obama/Hagel 08 real Unity
to superD: as a fellow oregonian, thanks for the obama08 support. don't you just oregon! best wishes
When people wake up and smell the coffee bfore they go to the voting booth the Democrats are gonna be crying.  The Majority of people in the United States is not going to fall for tthe untrustworthy phony in Barack Obama.  He is a joke and he WON'T get elected.  the country can not afford the liberal failed policies of the Democrats.
I'm glad that Obama is our nominee, and that Clinton is backing him.

I'm glad that Clinton has returned to the Hill.  I think it's getting a lot of coverage because it was harder for her than it was for Dodd or Biden for example.

I hope that she and Obama both ignore Rush Limbaugh and help us to defeat FISA 'compromises'.  We will still win the election . . . please vote with the people and not with the wiretappers.
Pelosi, what fake! Will vote her out in California. Her approval rate is only half of Bush's. Shame and shame. Can't believe that she has the face to stand there.
Nero, CA  There is no salvaging Bill's reputation. It "is" what it "is". Sorry, I know dems have trouble with the definition of that word. And lets be honest, the Clintons have no need of Obama to pay the bills. They will make that sum up in 6 months of speaking tours. Pretty silly to think Barrack has any power to insist on how hard they will work on his behalf. He will be lucky if they chose not to destroy him in the media for pulling this one off.
I think that Hillary has shown women the way forward.  To fight the hard fight and find comfort in the knowledge that it made a difference.  It was not meant to be as President, but as Al Gore can testify, it might be better.  I was told years ago that "Good was the enemy of Best"  We all need to learn that we have a role, it takes a village.
Hey, you Clinton haters, lighten up. She can be a great asset. Likewise her hubby. It's too important to hold petty grudges. McBush needs to be defeated. Some people out (even some Hillary supporters) think he'll be a different kind of 'Republican'. He's the same on keep bombing, keep drilling, no taxing, etc.

Hopefully the seniors will pick up on the Republicans wnating to cut back Medicare payments by 10%, as more doctors opt out. Hopefully their support for McCain will drop after they see his attempt to damage our health care even further. He wants to let the private sector fix health care after devastating it. What a laugh!!
