The DCCC is going up with new radio ads in 13 GOP districts that link Republican incumbents to President Bush and high gas prices by using -- drum roll, please -- a Bush impersonator. “Wanted to thank you for continuing to support the Big Oil Energy Agenda,” the impersonator says. “‘Preciate you voting to keep giving billions in tax breaks to the big oil companies. Sure, gasoline is over four bucks a gallon and the oil companies are making record profits, but what’s good for Big Oil is good for America, right? I guess that’s why they call us the Grand OIL Party. Heh, heh, heh.” The districts: Brian Bilbray (CA-50), Charlie Dent (PA-15), Thelma Drake (VA-02), Shelly Moore Capito (WV-02), Steve Chabot (OH-01), Phil English (PA-03), Scott Garrett (NJ-05), Jim Gerlach (PA-06), Virgil Goode (VA-05), Robin Hayes (NC-08), Patrick McHenry (NC-10), Peter Roskam (IL-06), and Jean Schmidt (OH-02).

I suppose all is fair in love, war and politics.  It could be worse right?  They could have hired an Osama bin Laden impersonator...

This ad is funny; but I want to address the "Face the Nation" firestorm:

This issue with Wesley Clark is manufactured nonsense.  The response from the McCain camp that an Obama ‘surrogate’ is demeaning McCain’s service is laughable.  McCain’s highest rank was Captain.  Wesley Clark was a 4-star General.  You should compare and contrast their Wikipedias.  The Republicans are scared s*&tless that Clark will be Obama’s running mate.  He clearly has the military and foreign policy gravitas to blow the bloviating McCain out of the water.  McCain’s verbal stance of taking the high road in this election certainly hasn’t measured up to the actions on the ground.  “…I’m not going to call him elite.  That would be wrong”.  Their campaign is a complete joke.  I believe a 4-star general has the right to say, “Well, I don’t think riding in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to be president.”  That is his professional opinion.  To trivialize him as ‘an Obama surrogate’ cheapens his own military service.  If this remark had come from Gibbs or Plouffe or any other non-military campaign supporter, maybe.  But a 4-star general?  Get over yourself!

I’ve been a proponent of Biden or Webb for Veep; but not wanting to take away from the Senate majority any more than is necessary.  Now I am convinced that Clark is the perfect Veep choice.  The reaction of the full-on Republican attack mode convinces me that they are actually afraid of this pairing.  To see the McCain camp in ‘righteous indignation’ is completely hysterically funny to me.
I'm george bush and dick and I approve this message!
It should be illegal for Bush, and Cheney to be tied to oil interests, while being Pres., and Vice Pres.

It is a conflict of interest that anyone of a just turn of mind can clearly see. For them to have lied to us, in order to secure the majority of American's approval, (not mine however), to invade Iraq is criminal. They should be tried, and punished accordingly.
I like it .
Chuck - This comment is for you.  I saw you speak on "Meet the Press" and I was disappointed that you thought for a moment you were a crystal ball and blantly mentioned how Barack Obama - would not win certain states in the west.

Thank Goodness - Tom corrected you.  I don't mind listening to opinions.  But, I don't view the news to see people, that think they are fortune (future) tellers.

You are an intelligent man - you know just as much as I, that some people can become guilable to things the Media says..

I asked that you stick with what you have fact on and not try to predict or inject your personal believe...this election is to important.

Thank you

Yeah Baby that sounds like some good ads.  The Democrats are going to beat the repugnant ones over the head with comparisons to "NeoNazi" Bush.  The great uniter has proven to be a great uniter for his political enemies and enemies aginst our country.  He has divided America for his own worthless political gain and now it's time for the repugnant ones to pay the price of their foolish faith.

Go Obama 08/12!
Eisenhower's military industrial speech of 1961 says it all.  Politicians like Bush/Cheney are the worst leaders I've seen and few have confronted the problems that Ike so eloquently tabbed 47 years ago.
humor is good medicine for helping deal with the despicable treatment of America and the world at the hands of bush/cheney/rove/mccant.
Sadly, funny but true.
