From NBC's Kelly O'Donnell
When asked for a reaction to Obama's plan to accept the nomination at the stadium instead of the planned convention venue, a McCain aide pointed out "that boy-band 'NSync' also sold out Invesco twice...NSYNC was at Mile High twice, in 2000 and 2001."

And Obama sold-out the joint where McCain will be accepting his nomination. Anyway, who's more popular, John McCain or Justin Timberlake?
Yeah !!

McCain is more like Lawrence Welk
(et those Champagne bubbles going !!)

Or maybe Rudy Vallee !!

There's a hoot !!
Give John a megaphone !!
(try the 'Horst Wessel' song)

John McCain, Endless War
Should be interesting to see how much of a turn out McCan't gets with Barr and Paul merging together the same week in Minneapolis.

...........he said as he wiped the sweat from his upper lip.............
that really just shows how old and out of touch the McCain camp is...  an NSync reference? ugh...
That's because McFossil couldn't get a crowd to gather at his own lemonade stand. Who wants to listen to more garbage the Repubs spit out? Haven't we heard enough for the past 7 1/2 years? Time for a change, my friend!
More intellect coming from McShame.  I wonder what people will think when they see 70,000 people standing and screaming for Obama in Denver, a red state.  Turn out the lights McShame the party will be over real soon.
Someone please explain the campaign comment.  Is he comparing INSYNC to Obama and if he is....so what?

Problem is McCain can't fill a 10,000 seat arena let alone a stadium that seats 75,000.
After Karl Rove politics I am not disappointed that they jump on every negative they can find. I am sure that John Q Public will love hearing from them too. Let's not look at issues like the economy and Iraq War but look at stupid tricks like this. The public just loves silliness.
Nope, wrong headline Dom.......McCain Camp: couldn't fill Invesco restrooms" is a better one
but Lawrence Welk had his own theater!
So Obama will be at Mile High twice . . . in 2008 and 2012?
What's a boy band or band boy and damn those clouds!
Was this to be funny?  I didn't get it.  Stick to journalism and live the jokes for the comedians.

My goodness - if you want to tell jokes - tell the one about John McCain thinking he's young enough to be President of the U.S.A.

Thank you and GOD BLESS AMERICA
Every sore loser I've ever been subjectd to has dumba$$ things like that to say.  What was your total for your townhall meeting today?  100? 100+?  Whatever.
Hehehe... we're so clever and so funny.  TeeHee, we're Republicans and we're proud.  Giggle, giggle. Obama, you're a boogerhead!

Wow, what else can be said about the level of maturity and personal conduct from the old men in the Republican Party?
Kelly,

Watch with the play on words? The GOP is devious, and you should be savvy enough to catch it, and call them on it.

This morning they gave us the black Uncle Sam, now the comparison to 'boys'.

Bill Clinton was the adept at throwing out insults that reside between the lines, but the republicans are the masters of this kind of poisin.
Mile High Stadium and Invesco aren't the same. And Invesco didn't open until 2001, so it's pretty damn impressive that NSYNC sold it out before it was even opened.

Really, does the McCain camp do ANYTHING but lie? And when will the press start to actually report on his campaign instead of just waiting in line to get the next Dunkin' Donuts order? Oh, make sure you get sprinkles guys, that's McCain's favorite.
Not only do the McFlip folks not have any consistent or cogent plans for our economy or foreign relations, they are NOT funny either. Let's start a contest for McShame, "Find anything that works".
You got to think that is funny!   Call him grumpy or an old dude, but that is hilarious.  Not Nsync, it's Nstink!
We can't help that John McCain has the charisma of petrified wood.  It is laughable how hard McCain's camp tries to spin their candidate's lack of appeal as an asset.  "The fact that Sen. McCain sucks in front of a teleprompter just means that he's the more serious candidate."  "Just because John McCain is computer illiterate just means that he's more in touch with the lowest of the low-information voter."  "When John McCain reverses position on everything and won't even abide by legislation with his own name on it such as McCain-Kennedy or McCain-Feingold is okay because he's a maverick!"  "We could get big crowds too but, we just don't wanna--nanny nanny boo boo."
How would anyone know that off the top of their head?? Either a really big N'Sync fan or this sounds like a planned and rehearsed line.
Obama = World Champion Denver Broncos,  these guys sold out Invesco more than twice.
I love that McCain is attacking Obama by pairing him with insanely popular phenomenons. I know he's trying to paint Obama as a fad, and not serious enough for politics. But honestly, it comes across as:

Obama = The New Coke
McCain = Old Flat Soda

Please, keep amusing us with these comparisons.
C'mon--McFossil has never heard of NSync.  I'm sure if 70,000 people wanted to hear grandpa speak he'd say--"No, I'm really not interested in getting my message to that many people."  I do believe they're jealous!!!
Nsync is also a heck of lot more talented then Obama.
Hmmm... Seems to me like the McCain camp likes to insinuate that a large number of supporters somehow cheapens a platform, or that including the people in the process of electing the president is bad.

Sounds like a cookie-cutter republican more and more everyday.
Obama isn't quite clear what he wants to be when (and if) he ever grows up.
Of course the McCain camp would mock it but if McCain could fill a stadium and give a great speech you bet he would do it but we know he can't and Obama can.

Great Obama Stuff!

NSync?  Man...McCain is OLD.
the insinuation that Obama is merely a popular, but passing fad is insulting to the tens of millions of people who support him.  The McCain aide must believe that all of those millions of U.S. citizens are TOO STUPID and GULLIBLE to see what the McCain camp believes is the truth, since they are supporting Obama.
Well, that's a well-reasoned and mature political argument. Maybe tomorrow we'll get a Duran Duran reference, or a Bay City Rollers quip. Why, McThuselah might even roll-out a stammering Dave Clark Five reset, just to show the kiddoes how hip he is.
AS THE TEENAGERS SAY "THEY'RE HATERS"

John McCain is dry as a stale cornflake. He has no draw and they know it.

There will be people standing in streets wrapped around the stadium looking at big screen TV's.
McCain's camp is just jealous that 'they' couldn't fill an entire stadium...let alone even the lobby of a Hilton Hotel!
Face it McCain you could not fill a car dealership.  Though I must admit your economic plan is similar to a used car salesmeans pitch.
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, I love boy bands and I love Barack Obama!  I also love the obvious envy of the McCain camp. What da matter lil whinny babies?

I bet some of the republicans go to the speech just for the fun of it and to witness history!

It's ok to take a swipe at Obama's "youth", but Oh Boy, McCain's old age is off limits.

McCain's the BubbleWrap candidate - protected from any attacks or criticism because he's an old war hero.

********************

AT least McCain ishaving townhalls....Obambi is too scared of McCain to debate him.
Obama is pathetic...
yeah,  whatever
Well if both Nsync and Obama can sell it out, i guess its "bye bye bye" to McCain
Hey John McCain: Don't make fun of N'Sync.  They made their fortunes without dumping their first wife for a beer heiress.  Oh, and their tax returns include all of their assets and income.
This really proves how out of touch the McCain camp is with American society.  I know that 'NSync' seems like and easy and good target, but what the McCain camp is forgetting is that 'NSync' has sold over 56 million albums worldwide, and that a person named Justin Timberlake came from that band.

Justin Timberlake:

#12 on the Forbes Celebrity 100 list at over $44 million per year.

Two million fans paid $100 million to see J.T. on his FutureSex/Love Show tour.

Anyone questionning this analogy yet?

Ok, then how about the other members of 'NSync'?

Joey Fatone hosts 'Dancing with the Stars' (& a new show I can't remember), and Chris Kirkpatrick plays the voice of 'Chip Skylar' on Nickelodeon's "Fairly Odd Parents".

Combined, these guys have made 100's of millions of dollars and they are in their late 20's early 30's.

What a bunch of Morons the McCain camp has.  I don't like 'NSync' either, but if you want to slam someone, try a better target.
Obama = World Champion Denver Broncos,  these guys sold out Invesco more than twice.
Judith Webster

What decade are you living in Judith?
I can't wait to see the crushing death-blow this will be when the conventions come up.  It's going to be like those trash bag commercials...

wimpy wimpy wimmmmpy....HEFTY HEFTY HEFFFFTY.

There will be a big difference between 70,000 agents of change chanting "yes we can"...and 15,000 people in minnesota chanting "one more term!!"

Oh btw...about McCain planning to balance the budget by 2013?  That will all be thrown out the window after he bombs Iran...then the flood of excuses will come in.  I would almost bet the farm that they've planned it already.
I smell a touch of jealousy that Obama can fill a venue twice the size of the one McCain will be in for the convention. I bet you'd have a tough time finding 80,000 people who would want to admit they enthusiasticly support McCain enough to show up.
A new low for the Republicans! Calling names doesn't make you look good Senator McCain. I think the changes should have continued and eliminated the ones still calling names.

btw - Using *Nsync as a comparison is good for Obama because it reminds us younger voters who's closer to their age.
Hey, it really is the second coming!  Pope John Paul II "sold out" Mile High stadium in 1993, along with much of the surrounding outside area, for World Youth Day.

"Someone please explain the campaign comment.  Is he comparing INSYNC to Obama and if he is....so what?"
--Ira, Freehold, NJ

I think he is saying that filling the stadium is not a big deal because even minor musical groups can do it.  Either that or he is really big fan of "boy" groups and is impressed with what Obama can fill.
Tacky, tacky, tacky....  Is is November yet?

Send this guy back to yell at the Arizona clouds...
uh....kind of strange that the McCain camp knew that bit of trivia about NSYNC, but I won't judge...
