McCain and Rudy attend Yankees game

McCain and Rudy Giuliani attended the Yankees game together today and met with the managers of both the Yankees and Oakland A's on field for a brief photo op prior to the game.

Giuliani also gave a brief interview in which he took a shot at Obama. "I think if you look at Sen. McCain's record on Iraq -- you don't fail to elect him president. He was right about Iraq when almost everybody else was wrong. It has turned out that if we had caved in the way Barack Obama and the Democrats wanted, we would now have a defeat. America would have a defeat rather than a possible victory. And the fact that Barack Obama is now making his first tour, in essence, of the world is an indication that John McCain is the man with the experience. John doesn't have to go for the first or second time to these places. He has been going there for 20-30 years. He knows the world. He understands the world. Without any disrespect to the other side, he's just so far more experienced that I think America will elect him."

When McCain is taking advice from Rudy, you know the GOP is in trouble.
That can't be Rudy speaking, there was no mention of 9/11.

McCain at a NY Yankee baseball game? What an insult!
Rudy, Rudy, Rudy.

Read our lips, Americans by, and large are against the war!

Also, McCain's campaign has gone through more face lifts than a victory will allow. We are not going to elect McCain.

You sit back, and enjoy the ballgame, if you've got a winning ball club. We Obama supporters will enjoy the election.

Hey ! Rudy !!

How's your love life ?
Meet any cute cousins, lately ?

You know, I think you forgot to mention 9/11...
How do you feel about 9/11, Rudy ?

Should we 'Bomb, Bomb, Bomb ....Bomb, bomb Iran ?

John McCain, Endless War
"I think if you look at Sen. McCain's record on Iraq -- you don't fail to elect him president. He was right about Iraq when almost everybody else was wrong.”

You mean when he wanted to invade in 1998, 5 years before Bush did or when he voted to invade Iraq based in bad intelligence, lies and fear-mongering

“ It has turned out that if we had caved in the way Barack Obama and the Democrats wanted, we would now have a defeat. America would have a defeat rather than a possible victory.”

Rudy, the surge was supposed to also give the Iraqi’s time to come to a political reconciliation, end sectarian violence, decide how to share oil revenues and 20 other things have not been resolved. The political purpose of the surge is a huge failure and will haunt Iraq for years to come.

“John has been going there for 20-30 years. He knows the world. He understands the world. Without any disrespect to the other side, he's just so far more experienced that I think America will elect him."

See above to really get a good perspective of how ridiculous these last comments are.  Rudy, experience means nothing without judgment.  You of all people should know that after the presidential campaign you ran.
Without any disrespect to you, Mr. Mayor, you also thought America would elect you.
Rudy also thought America would elect him. He was so pathetic, he's not even a decent VP pick. If he was anyone else the story would also contain VP speculation.
Dude, did McCain ask where Babe Ruth was?
Rudy, you forgot to throw in "9/11".
La la la la la la la la 911 la la la la la la 911 la la la la la la la 911 la la la la la and 911.
Keep dreaming Rudy!
Good for you Rudy, the voters will listen to you, right. We remember the primary Rudy with all of your experience, lets wait until Florida to campaign you went far. If John McBush is so experienced why are we in such a mess? After all he has been in Washington for over 25 years. Been overseas eight times, how many times does he have to go to get it right. John McBush says he knows how to win wars, what war did he win ?
Judging by the way Giuliani ran his campaign for the republican party nomination, I wouldnt take anything he says seriously. Guiliani says that we should look at McCains record. Fine, lets look at that record. McCain voted for the war. We have nearly 4124 US soldiers killed. McCain voted for the war. We have 30409 wounded in Iraq. McCain voted for the war. We have over 86017 Iraq civilians killed. McCain voted for the war. We have lost more lives than some American cities have populations. Yes, by all means lets look at McCains record.

ps. I hear McCain likes to tell jokes about gorillas raping women. Not very presidential if you ask me.
Two peas in a pod. Glad they went out to enjoy the game while people are having a hard time economically and others are working. A nice image indeed. Frankly, we've learned that all the 'experienced men' from Cheney to Rumsfeld knew nothing, had no judgment, and instead had a mission for the capture of another country's oil, not for American use but to make a profit on. And to keep the record accurate, Mr. McCain supported the 'Mission Accomplished' effort and supported Rumsfeld until 2005. But after all, that was only three years of dead American soldiers, Iraqi civilians and thousands of Iraqis displaced as well as American money down the drain. No judgment, no wisdom, no ideas. McCain as Commander in Chief? Not in a million years.
Why am I not surprised by Rudy's lame attempt at fiction?

Obama never said he wanted to "cave in"- Obama's position has always been- "Hey, we're taking the fight to the wrong place!"

And would former Mayor Guiliani be so kind as to state specifically what would constitute a "possible victory"?  The GOP keeps forgetting to tell the American people exactly what it is that we've won.

What a load of garbage.  The GOP's desperation would be funny if it wasn't so dangerous.
Rudy Giuliani is still alive?
Yada Yada Yada. Giuliani also thought that Americans would consider voting for a man married three times as president.  He does not have a good "read" on people.  I for one feel very confident with the abilites and leadership qualities of Senator Obama. Very confident--I prefer him 100,000 times over Mccain.
That seemed to be Mccain Inaguration.......
Right, Rudy, he's so experienced that he's beginning to blatantly copy Obama's foreign policy.
It’s unfortunate that Giuliani is dead wrong.

Obama has advocated the same position he's held since before the primaries even began. Bush and Duel Personality McCain have no strategy to win in Iraq. Simply, because Bush and Duel Personality McCain used the WEAPONS OF THEIR MASS DECEPTIONS and victory with honor as an excuse to stay for the Black Gold and the spoils of war.
That clearly is no strategy for either.

The President doesn’t have a magic wand; but he can wave Good-Bye.
WOW!!!   What a treat.

Go Yankees.

<b> NO OBAMA VOTE MCCAIN
Wow, John McCain…20 or 30 years of "experience" travelling around the world at taxpayer expense…and what exactly has he accomplished with all that important travel "experiencxe" that we've been paying for all these years?

In fact, what "leadership" has McCain actually shown on anything, with any material relevence at all for the average Joe, in his quarter century of cashing taxpayer-funded checks as Senator?

It's obvious that Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani's comments only serve to highlight that John McCain is just another old-time, do-nothing politician that's lived his life with his snout buried deeply in the public trough without much of anything to show for all the taxpayer dollars we've spent on him.

Since he hasn't shown any actual "leadership" in Government after all these years, at his advanced age, then why on earth would anyone expect him to magically become some kind of "leader" now?

As a nation, we've had more than enough of empty-suited Senators and Representatives like John McCain who never actually accomplish anything of relevence to the lives of the citizens who are paying their bills.

Thanks, Rudy, for helping clarify that point about your boy John McCain and his supposed "Leadership experience".
Nice ... gaining experience?
Giuliani, you above all know that is not true. You were lied to just like the American People were. WMD. It was your city and close friends that took the impact of Osama Bin Laden. I really feel for you. You are saying that you believe all along that we had to go to war with Iraq? I don't believe it!

If staying the course, maybe a hundred years, is winning a war, a war we had not business being in. Rather than getting out, without sacrificing more of our soldiers blood for a unjust war, or for the oil that Bush thought he was going to get, that by the way John McCain admited to. Or, for getting the job done, that his father was stopped from doing. That is the war you want to win?

You have known all along that for the security of the United States, we had to get Osama bin Laden and noone else or no other country. Fess up now.

Right after the WTC, wasn't the idea to go after Osama? Take him down for him being the mastermind of the WTC disaster. I heard you say that, loud and clear, change your mind. You and McCain belong together, two flip flopperes if I ever seen them. Anything to get elected. Say anything, do anything.

Now you say the Obama and the Dems were wrong and that we would have a defeat in a war that was a lie.
Also, this may be only the second time for Obama to go to Iraq, but even only going once, as opposed to McCain going (Ibelieve eight times)he still knew the difference between a Shiite and a Sunni. Old guy just can't remember anything anymore, must be getting a little senile or maybe alot.
And this comes from the guy who spent how many millions of dollars for one delegate?  I hope he starts advising the McCain campaign.  When is Rudy going to shut up?
Words of encouragement from Guilliani.  How sweet.  Has anyone told Rudy that there are no cheerleaders in baseball, nor presidential elections?

Only a true loser, backs another losers losing policies and strategies.
Who cares that you think Giuliani! Why are you trying to kiss McSame's butt? Your side is just nervous about Obama's trip and him looking very presidential doing it. You sound very desperate!Just keep trying to force your opinion on us and see it work against you.
And your point Rudy?  Hasn't he been to a ball game ever??????
Do you think he will know how to explain the game of baseball if anyone ask him how the game is played?  Would love to hear that description.  He'd have to hire a sportscaster with economic experience too so he could get both right and possible 2 days in a row to boot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yea Rudy, an you still think your better to be President then McCain?  I never liked you when you were just a cheating Mayor and don't like you now that your a cheating ex Mayor.
McSame and rudy911...they have nothing but fear itself to sell the easily conned and poorly educated
What no 911 Rudy?
Just goes to show how out of touch McSame is, he actually thinks Giuliani's opinion holds sway on American's decision making, is he the only man in this country that can't see Rudy for the blathering idiot that he really is?
These Republicans has to be the dumbest people on earth.

We proud liberals have to take back our country and be the beacon we once were.

The Republicans/conservatives are a shell of a human being - greed and stupidity has ruined their minds.

The best time in history for the Republican Party was between 1861 - 1865, since then - they have become worthless.

Having said that - the Bush/Cheney administration has been the worst for all time, they started another civil war – wealthy against non-wealthy.

If we want to destroy our country and possibly the world and to continue to have them win the civil economic war, George Bush started - then electing John McCain will do it.

If we want to strive again as a nation and to prosper once again as the wonderful free world leader - we were before the GOP/Neo-Con stole our country.

We need to elect Barack Obama for President.

Thank you and GOD BLESS AMERICA
It,s true, politics makes strange bedfellowes. although these two are use to strange beds.
Giuliani is about as lame as McCain; Can't the GOP find ANYONE as their spokesperson who doesn't just parlay the talking points of the GOP? Give us a break, Rudy.....McCain WASN'T right about Iraq. Bush WASN'T right about Iraq. They took their eyes off of Afghanstan and left us vulnerable there. The only one who has been right, all along, is Obama. That is why he will be the next POTUS.
I hope McCain doesnt give up on New York it isnt as Dem as they would have you believe . I know a lot over 20 that will vote McCain if Hillary doesnt get nod. Thats just in my neighborhood.
Let's go Red Sox!
I hope Sen. McCain realizes what kind of joke Rudolph Giuliani has been ever since that run for president. It's amazing how few Republicans I know, let alone people in general, respect the former mayor anymore ever since Joe Biden hit it on the head in one of the presidential debates -- "[T]here's only three things he mentions in a sentence: a noun, a verb, and 9/11." Since then, Giuliani has been a political cocktail-party joke.

I also think it's rather amusing, and sad, that people like Mayor Giuliani continue saying that if we'd withdrawn already from Iraq, we'd have defeat. It's incredible to me that you could have defeat in an operation that has already been won. We went into Iraq not to bring democracy but to remove a tyrant whom we suspected of harboring WMD. We didn't find the WMD, but we removed the tyrant. We won. Why can't Republicans see that when it was, in fact, a Republican president who declared victory? And why hasn't the press called any politician on that yet?
Was Hillary pitching?
Who did McCain want to win the Steelers?
I don't think that Giuliani really can speak to what the American public really is thinking.  The GOP didn't help him through the primaries.  If Giuliani really supported McCain, then where has he been?  You'd figure that he would be out there campaigning and fundraising for McCain.  Romney has done more than that.
