Obama is up on Karl Rove's map

According to Karl Rove's new electoral map, Obama is leading McCain, 272-183 -- with 83 electoral votes in the toss-up category.

Note that the map is as of July 23, so it doesn't take into account the recent Quinnipiac polling in Colorado, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. But per this map -- right now -- Obama could lose every toss-up state (Ohio, New Hampshire, Florida, Nevada) and still win the presidential election.

Pat, Beantown, MA,
I understand your point; however I just want people to take a step back and THINK about what they are hearing on the TV......just because you agree with someone's opinion doesn't necessarily make it "fair and balanced" reporting. It simply means you agree with their opinion. I've decided I have to listen to what I agree with and what I don't agree with....the truth is somewhere in the middle. I absolutely miss Tim Russert more today than ever!
Love your posts everyday! Keep us informed!
If you mean by liberals, those people who fight when their rights and freedoms are infringed upon - Ira Freehold NJ

You mean like the right to choose to school other then the public ones? You mean the right to own a gun? You mean the Fairness Doctrine? You mean taxing people to death? Those rights? Those freedoms? Don't see too man libs fighting for those rights and freedoms.

As usual - libs are full of it, and themselves.
The Lord of Darkness, the puppeteer of the White House has spoken ... so? I would not trust this person even on his death bed.
Remember this is Karl Rove. It has to be a plot.

Meanwhile, taking the note from the wall was on the direct orders of the Barack Obama campaign and was a carefully contrived Rovian campaign tactic designed to garner even more publicity on the Foreign Policy Campaign Tour.

Impressively devious.

So now we're supposed to care more about what Obama wrote in his note than the thousands of previous visitors to the wall?

Someone is shameless here.  I'm sure the MSM will get to the bottom of it.

Ira, Freehold:

Ira, your stats are probably correct.  Nevertheless, Olbermann is, by virtue of being at MSNBC, the biggest fish in a little pond.  Like a carp in a wading pool. Like Al Franken at Air America.

My apologies to carp.

Most research does not restrict itself to one cherry picked quarter, either.  More research would show that his audience is still way behind O'Reilly's (not counting radio) and dwarfed by Limbaugh.

Olbermann sucks.  That's just my opinion.

MI Chick -

Points well taken regarding my original post.

People who are in the top 2% of wage earners already pay a disproportionately higher amount of taxes.  Why tax them more?  Do you know how many small business owners file their taxes using Schedule C income? These people employ other persons, but based on Obama's plan they would pay higher personal income taxes because their companies aren't incorporated.  A blind rule like this will hurt the small business maker, which is a huge chunk of US business.  If wealthy people want to give some of their money away, let them choose to do it, not be forced to.

One other question:  Why is it that GWB is villified with a 24% approval rating, but the 19% approval rating in Congress isn't even discussed?
The news report I just saw on MSNBC was ridiculous.  So some conservative bloggers want to see a thesis Obama wrote at Columbia University 25 years ago.  Who gives a crap what they want.  If we are going to go through every stupid document someone doesn't even have I think we should see every grade that John Mccain made at the Naval Academy and have all his less than desirable teachers comments on display on the nightly news as well.

I'd like to see McCains FULL medical and financial records - he's provided portions only of both.
