MoveOn has announced it will spend $150,000 to air this new pro-Obama TV ad on MTV and Comedy Central. The ad -- which won MoveOn's “funniest video” in its recent ad contest -- features Rider Strong of "Boy Meets World" and Amber Benson of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."

LoL, that is definitely a commercial targeted to those under 30.  I can picture John McCain watching it on his floor model CRT and throwing his memory pills at the TV screen!
Cute~
It just makes you smile and for that reason I like it!
A cute add, I liked it.

The ending was a bit out of the blue.
Yes Yes Yes !!!!!! Me too will not be counted out.

I HAVE HOPE AND I BELIEVE IN IT. I have been infected by the latest epidemic virus called HOPE, and it been carried by the pathogen called OBAMA. I dont want to be cured by the REPUBLICANS because my new HOPE infection will only lead to one thing, BETTER FUTURE, BETTER ECONOMY, BETTER DIPLOMACY, BETTER ENERGY, BETTER EDUCATION, BETTER SOCIETY AND A BETTER AMERICA.

I HAVE HOPE. HOW ABOUT YOU?

VOTE FOR HOPE, VOTE FOR OBAMA
It's great but it's it just preaching to the choir?

What about an ad that speaks to blue collar or older voters?
What a great add, of course the McSurge camp will fault it because they don't believe in hope, just doom and gloom, and good old jerry from corpus christi thinks hope and liberalism is a disaese.
Would "pathetic" be an accurate criticism?
This was my favorite from the contest way back in March, I think.  It is just really funny and positive.  Although, I hope Jerry doesn't take the bait and say 'that's the chick for every pot'.

Hope full in MO
Does the commercial portray our military leaders as being traitors?

IF HOPE IS A GANGSTER THEN I AM A GANGSTER TOO

How about you guys?

Vote for Hope, Vote for Obama
That felt good.  I could not believe it when this nation elected the fella in the white house now a second time.  Maybe it's George or George and the GOP in general and McCain; but their narrow, backward thinking seems to be a part of the big picture that ends up with Barack Obama as president.  I have two nieces, 18 and 19 who are both excited and Motivated.  I love seeing it.
ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT.........................

WE ARE SICK AND TIRED OF THE OLD POLITICS OF FEAR MONGERING, ATTACKS, LIES, NO SUBSTANCE, GREED, POWER, DIVISION............

NEVER AGAIN, NO MATTER WHO OR WHAT WILL WE LET ANYONE BUT GOD THROUGH WE THE PEOPLE DETERMINE OUR DESTINY..........
How can moveon judge a 'funniest' video. They, like most liberals, have no sense of humor.
Beautiful -- way to go MoveOn!

Use the Al Franken approach.

I guess McSame will come out with an ad saying a baby chick represents false hope because Corporate America will turn it into a Chicken Nugget?

Vets for Obama!
PS.  the way they linked this to the article has a bunch of the Move On advertisements.  Tell your friends, MSNBC - we love you!

I really like the Bush/McCain challenge by John Cusack.  Good stuff today!
H. Waxman -- you know McSame is effectively a traitor to our dedicated troops.
** McSame opposed the new GI Bill -- he doesn't want soldiers to get an education -- just wants them to stay in Iraq for 100 years! **
Love the ad - such a refreshing change from the typical political ad - and so true! :)
Ha!  This ad is too funny - although Chris what's-his-name ("sorry mom!") could done a better job with the irony.
I liked it, it never mentions McCain or Obama, just a positive message about hope.

Subtle but effective.
Love it!  I like the egg part.
LOVED IT—It made me smile and what a change from those miserable lying, badly constructed ads of McCain.
While it's pretty vague (and that's been a complaint), the positive message highlights just how nasty McCain's recent ads have been.  I think I would've added a line with a URL for specific information on policy/issues.
Love it!!
LOL!!!!!  Good one!!

Chris Matthews: "HAAHH!!!!"

:-)
American Voter, Would "So Sorry" be an accurate criticism for you?

I don't know whether you have a college education but lets look at the high school level, what did you have about you life when admitted to high school? Is it not the hope that you have that the day is coming when you will get a high school diploma?

Don't think i am some kid from nowhere who doesn't know what he is talking about. I am a fine young man with two college degrees and know what the word HOPE is and what you can do with it.

HOPE : The word that makes the impossible possible.

Vote for Hope , Vote for Obama
More of the change we Obama supportes recognize that the neo cons refuse to acknowledge. The use of positive ads versus hiring the Madison Avenue firm of 'Werewolves Inc.' to create campaign ads.
A Charles McBush,

Senator Obama has already had ads touching on the working class vote. I don't think it's as big of a deal that the media is making it out to be. Bigots like Pat B. are constantly making a big deal out of the blue collard vote. I think Obama will have a lot of them in place come November.

Which is why almost all of the greatest comedians in this country's history were conservatives....   Guys like Richard Prior, George Carlin, Lenny Bruce, etc...

oh....wait....

"How can moveon judge a 'funniest' video. They, like most liberals, have no sense of humor."

That's funny, since all good comedians are funny. As are the funny Hollywood and NY writers. The only funny conservative is Pat Buchanan.
Great ad, but Obama needs to put an ad out countering the hypocrisy of the pentagon and McCain’s collaboration about disrespecting veterans in the German hospital.
Obama needs to expose that McCain doesn’t support the troops.

Expose McCain has voted against veteran’s healthcare in 2004, 2005, 2006, and2007. He gets his healthcare. He voted against Jim Webb’s s GI bill.  And that McCain took credit for something he didn’t do.
10 times McCain has voted against veterans’ bills.
McCain doesn’t support the troops.
Wow Mister Anderson (The Matrix)!!!! Do you mind if we contribute some money for McOldSchool so that he can get  cable and change his 32" 4 legged CRT TV, to some nice Flat screen.....that makes me laugh man

STRAIGHT TO THE WHITE HOUSE
OBAMA 08
HEY DONNA, NASHVILLE, IRA, DEMOCRATIC SOLDIER, .....I have gat some extra HOPE  infection here...come and get some.....
This will DEFINITELY work...for people who do not Obama 'true colors'.
The Master says:  How can moveon judge a 'funniest' video. They, like most liberals, have no sense of humor.

I'll agree with you on that to a certain extent!!  I'll give credit where credit is due, the Republicans have a bigger sense of humor than Democrats have.  Just look who the Repukes have as their candidate, Johnny MacCheese, LOL.

That said, I like this ad.  It made me smile.

Obama/Biden, 08
I enjoyed the ad, it's refreashing to see an advertisment that wasn't NEGATIVE as the ads MSNBC has played ALL morning long, Heck John McCain doesn't need to pay for ads, just let you guys run them for free.  Haven't seen an Obama ad run so much.  Plus PLEASE have A. Mitchell keep her snide comments while reporting on tv to herself.  She is becoming increasingly snarly when reporting on Obama i.e., the trip oversee's comments this morning about Obama's trip with the French President, the interview was trying to tell that Obama made it very clear to all heads of state he visited with that he was NOT the President and was meeting with them for views and ideas as he was the Nominee (dem), then AM says, "well you could of fooled  me with his visit to France"????  Why do you have to say that? It shows where your politics stand, and as a "worthy" reporter you should keep your comments like that to yourself.  You never post my posts, but at least I vented my frustration with the media.
Love this ad! I have been following the post's since January and tried to get some in but can't for some reason. Great job from MoveON.

Excuse Me!!!! Are you real at all? If we dont have a sense of humor, then what are you going to say about the one man laughing jokes of grand pappy McCain?

Anyway i gat some help..there is a new book called JOKES FOR DUMMIES. If McCain cant afford it at a 99 cent store, I will get him some coupons

McCain??? A name synonymous to dry jokes
MSNBC..Keep on the good work...more insightful details and true journalism

Cant be too happy

Obama 08
Even though I agree they need ads aimed at winning over older, blue collar, audiences, it was still cute.
Peep!  Peep! Peep!
McWar will probably say the chicken stands for Obama's plan to surrender in Iraq or something.
Wow, just when you think things can't get dumbed down any lower....
Obama needs to get on the ball with attack ads blasting McCain.
Sure it's fluff.  But I like it.  And haven't we seen enough of the misleading swiftboat smear ads anyway?
War Is Peace
Freedom Is Slavery
Ignorance is Strength

I'm John McCain, and I approved this message.
Great ad, when progressives poke fun of conservatives, it is actually funny. But when conservatives make fun of progressives, it is usually dirty politics.
It's great but it's it just preaching to the choir?

What about an ad that speaks to blue collar or older voters?

Unlike McCain, Obama knows that the millions of 18-20 somehtings who watch MTV as part of a daily ritual will feel empowered to have their voice heard.  Remember Bill Clinton did it in 94' and was able to capture a huge audiance when he appeared on MTV.
