Obama camp goes up with response ad

From NBC's Mark Murray
The Obama campaign is responding to McCain's Britney-Paris-Obama ad with its own TV advertisement -- which calls McCain's attack "the same old politics," links McCain to Bush, and points out that news organization and fact-checkers have found falsehoods in past McCain ads.

The script:
Announcer: He's practicing the politics of the past.
John McCain.  His attacks on Barack Obama:
"not true"
"false"
"baloney"
"the low road"
"baseless."
John McCain. Same old politics.  Same failed policies.
Barack Obama supports a $1,000 middle class tax cut.
An energy plan that takes on oil companies, develops alternative fuels, and breaks the grip of foreign oil.
That's change we can believe in.
Obama: I'm Barack Obama and I approve this message.

met a guy today who was a long time registered republican who recently switched over to the democratic party during the primarys. He said he was sick of the same old bs. He told me that all the nonsense coming from the McCain campaign in the past few weeks reinforced his belief that he had made the right decision which he had quote "agonized over". more and more people are tired of the same old nonsense and it's up to us as Americans to bring those low intelligence voters around us out of the fog.
Obama is doing what he needs to do.  McCain said he is above the negative ad thing.  But as usual, his words don't reflect his actions.  He is trying to make a big deal about his ability to be commander in chief.  The world knows better, and America will see pretty quickly how hollow his words are.  I would go further than Barack.  I would just say if you vote for McCain, you know what you are getting- same old thing.  Stay above the bullshit.  America is tired of this same old thing.  I would imagine we will see Swift Boat ads soon.  No matter- US sees what is going on.  Off shore drilling?  Pittance return according to our government.  Surge?  Probably succeeded.  But ask yourself- beyond the surge, should we have even been there in the first place?  I saw McCain the other day talking about soverign nations.  I thought Iraq was that.  Oh well, we got Sadaam when Bush's dad couldn't or wouldn't.  At what price??  America, get a grip.  Quit buying into the bullshit.  Think about what you have now vs 8 years ago, and oh by the way, McCain opposed off shore drilling until only recently when it became politically expedient.  Anything to win an election I guess.
Here's another thing Bush and McCain have in common, they both use Karl Rove campaign tactics!!

McCain's call for change in Washington rings hollow, not only has he been there for 30 years and not fixed the problems he complains about, he's taking pages out of the George W Bush playbook!
You forgot to emphasize (LARGE PRINT, BOLD) the word "OLD".

As a sign at a local restaurant says:  To vote for McCain, you must be insane.

AD
McBush is a tired old man....how sad this is all he can come up with...
Great Ad, Stay positive now, show McCain promising to do so later, but keep it positive.
Glad to see him fight back. You go Obama!
They both have attack ads with content in poor context and most opinions fall squarely along partisan lines. I hope both candidates are prepared for a debate because it is a close one.
OH the Obama "followers" are online! McCain has gained sooo much ground by just letting Obama self-destruct. The New Yorker has him pegged -
Oh yeah, glad to see McCain promise to never raise taxes.  No way, never, under no circumstances.  Let's see, deficit at $500B, McCain wants to stay in Iraq for another hundred years, he wants to expand military in Afghanistan, social security is going under, he wants cut taxes, etc etc.  Who is going to pay??  Guess everyone will realize how little he really knows about economics.  False promises just to get elected.  Beware America.  A vote for him will be a vote for lies.
That's how you do that!  I approve this message!
The McCain ads are using "foreign" as a subliminal word, ie. he's not one of us. The Obama ad is using the word "old" as a subliminal undercurrent.

This is how the election messages are going to play out, folks. In a nutshell: Do you want to throw the dice on the young guy or stay the course with the old coot?

McCain talks about Obama.  Obama talks about his plans, and what he hopes to bring about.  There's the difference.  I'm not voting for someone that's more concerned about another person than what he's laying down for our possible futures.  Plus I want that future to look different from that last 8 years.
I'm glad to see Obama starting to fight back against all McCain's negative, false ads.  Also glad that Obama kept to his classy style and remained positive in his response.  He needs to continue to do this because McCain is not going to stop.
I'm REALLY tired of hearing McCain speak so negatively and childish about Obama.  I guess he has nothing better to do.  His dirty talk will get him no where.  We want a clean campaign.  Is that possible?  Politics can be dirty, especially when one candidate knows he is low in the polls.  Obama is young, has fresh intelligent ideas and can REALLY deliver the change that this country needs!  McCain needs to go into retirement!!!
"not true"
"false"
"baloney"
"baseless." Obuma's change in a nutshell!
No one realy know what Obama will do if elected President.  He was raised in a muslan family background and went to a muslan school.  We have no idea what he will do.  Can we take a chance, I say no.  I di not like McCain bhut feel we know his background and where he is coming from but not Obama.
McCain is trying to put himself as a martir when in fact everything he said about his POW story is pure myth. Even he can't get his story straight.

McCain is a FLIP-FLOPPER on every single topic concerning to American people.
Someone said that he is fighting back with a positive message.  This is Nazi news-speak.  Like Obama or not, his message is negative.  He is saying McCain is bad.  You can't get more negative than that.
