Who'd give more to the middle class?

From NBC's Domenico Montanaro
McCain
claims in an ad released today that "Obama voted to raise taxes on people making just $42,000. He promises more taxes on small business, seniors, your life savings, your family."

But when it comes to promises, it's worth pointing out that, according to the non-partisan Tax Policy Center's analysis of both candidates' proposed plans, Obama would cut taxes for those making in the range of $38,000 to $66,000 three to almost eight times more than McCain would.

Under Obama's plan, according to the center, by 2009, those making $37,595 would see an average increase in their income of 3.6%, or a tax cut of $892; those making an average of $66,354 would see an increase in their income of 2.4%, or a tax cut of $1,042.

On the other hand, Under McCain's plan, those making $37,595 would see an increase in their income of only about 0.5%, or $113 tax cut; those making $66,354 would see only an increase of 0.7% in their income, or a tax break of $319.

It's about time the MSM puts all of these fabrications of McCain's to the test. I only wonder when they will report on the off-shore drilling lie when he mentioned he was assured by some oil executives they could have oil on the market within months.
The reason the oil companies aren't drilling on lands that are already under lease is because that would decrease the cost of gas at the pump. Why not delay the drilling as long as possible, like off-shore, so they can continue to gouge the people for at least another 10 yrs or longer. Even then, the off-shore drilling is not likely to cause a drop in gas prices.
No wonder BIG JOHN is in the pockets of the oil magnates. That is a lot of money.
why is this not the lead story...

these are big lies they are telling

not little twists but BIG lies...

should this not be covered as a lead when another Presidential candidate like the one we elected the last two times seems to have a problem being honest to get in.
Why does everyone have there hand out thinking they should get a tax cut or a rebate? You are too dependent on the government. Break free and quit looking for a hand out. Obama is an empty suit with no real plans other than raising your taxes, He thinks inflating your tires is a good idea. Yea that would be okay if everybody was driving around with under inflated tires, but we know thats not true. A worthless "solution" that will do nothing to help our energy situation. Remeber Jimmy Carter telling you to put on a sweater? Its the same thing now with obama. While i dont agree with all that Mccain says either, he is the better of the two by far. With Obama as president the country will slide into a depression within his first term especially with Pelosi and Reed along side him. They want to turn this country into one where the people are dependent on the government for everything. Wake up people.
