NBC: Kaine, Bayh told they're not it

As reported in her Nightly News spot, Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh and Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine, according to sources, were told they're out of the running.

From the First Read team, just asking, so which news organization is going to irresponsibly go with Biden without confirmation from Biden or the Obama campaign -- even though they all have the same information we do? Some news org who loves credit and hits has to be itchin'...

It sounds like it's going to be Senator Biden from all the hints we've been given.

I guess for once the media win. They've been increasingly smug all week about their choice for vp, Biden, getting the nod. Still, there's a 50-50 chance that'll backfire come November. Suffice to say Obama will not win Indiana now no matter how many offices he opens there.

Obama gives no real sign of chafing under the 'celebrity' tag. He learned the rules of this game from Tom Cruise. I expect him to jump on a sofa before naming his running mate. This man is not fit to lead. After seeing the commercials, I think Paris Hilton would have made a better Democrat nominee-at least she knows HOW to be 'famous for being famous'. The Democrats are lost.

I'm guessing Biden. The reason is because two weeks ago Biden and Bayh were announced as speakers for Wednesday night in Denver followed by the anonymous Vice President. Today the revised list has "Kerry, Daschle, Bayh, Bill Clinton, vice presidential choice". Biden has been eliminated from that list and doesn't reappear anywhere else.
