The Obama-Biden show to head to PA

The Obamas and the Bidens will take their show on the road beginning Friday, with a bus tour that will start in Pennsylvania -- and will later head to Ohio and Michigan. The tour, entitled “On the Road to Change,” will be the first campaign appearances for both candidates since formally accepting the Democratic Party nomination and will include both Michelle Obama and Jill Biden.

Details for the events have not been finalized. An Obama campaign press release said the tour would focus on economic issues. It will serve as counterprogramming as the Republian convention kicks off in Minnesota.

Well, while Obama heads to PA, we here in Arizona are not so lucky. McCain is visiting Phoenix today. In preparation for which he has indicated that the Phoenix PD should gather up all of the homeless people (to get them away from the speaking venue he’ll be going to) and have them put on a bus and removed from the downtown area of PHX, so that the news crews don't catch sight of all the homeless veterans that inhabit downtown Phoenix. I absolutely KNOW this because I live in Phoenix and have just driven by the sight where scores of police officers had hundreds of homeless people lined up in a parking line and were herding them onto buses. This is the REAL John McCain. This is the PROUD man that the GOP is going to laud as the next great leader of the free world.... A man who doesn't hesitate to demand a Potemkin Village arrival in his own home town, in order to put on the grand show that veterans matter... when in fact he had many of them hustled away before he went to speak at a Veteran's event..... The bias liberal media seems to have overlooked the Philadelphia Federal Court case file #08CV4083 filed 08-26-08 that is proving that there "boy" Obama is constitituionallyt INELIGIBLE for the presidency due to forge and inaccurate birth records. This is really nice. I am so tired of hearing about Obama's negatives and why Hillary didn't say this or that. The fact is, she showed up and showed America what this election is really about and we should follow her lead.

This eletion is not about Hillary or Obama, it is about this country. Too bad the pundits missed it.

Biden was Obama smartest VP choice. Biden will secure the Kerry states leaving the ticket 19 short of 270. But given how Obama is performing in like 10 swing states he has pretty much a guranteed chance of winning the election if he can win the Kerry states. Iowa is already in the Dem column.

You know what? I am tired of being insulted. I am tired of being lumped into a group that has no understanding of issues and just follows a person blindly. I am tired of people saying that I have been disrespectful to the Clintons when I have never showed anything but the utmost respect for them. I am tired of being threatened that we will have McCain in the White House because in America I have the freedom to make my own decisions based on my political ideology. It's not even a threat to me because if Obama does lose and Hillary gets it in 2012 I will be very happy to have her there and will support her 100%. There is nothing emotional clouding my view of the democratic process. This is not a popularity contest. This is not a playground. This is my beautiful 11 month old sons future. This is my wonderful wife's rights. This is ensuring that I can provide for them anything they need in life and making sure they have all they need if something happens to me.
I think those who seek to punish Obama supporters and those Obama supporters who feel the need to insult the Clintons take a step back and a deep breath. They need to listen to the wonderful words of Hillary Clinton last night and asks themselves "why are we in this?" Are you in this because of the love of your candidate or the love of your country and family? If it is for your family and country then I suggest you put away the childish name calling and back handed insults being flung from both sides and take a reality check. I for one am not willing to risk the future of my little boy over idol worship and hurt feelings.

The CW is that Biden is not change, because of his experience. I do not see experience and change as opposites per say. Example, John McCain has been an old hand in the Senate, but he does have a history of trying to change the way things are done. Look at it the other way, an inexperienced candidate could not be change for arguing the status quo (that is why Sen. Clinton struggled with the change mantel).

I'll say it again, the of the main problems with the Bush administration was the way they pushed their failed agenda to detriment and their difficulty to be open and honest with the American people. (Sorry, I articulated that poorly). But that does not describe Joe Biden--he is change in a big way, offering a break from the status quo of the failed Bush administration. I, personally, think it great that we have three great candidates offering change, and that is great. And once Romney gets added to McCain's ticket, we will still have three great change candidates on the top two tickets, Ha!

Probably more a result of the cable news talkers trying to make a quick, flashy point rather than analyzing anything in depth. Chuck Todd et al., I know those guys can do better.

I think it's great that they will be together and going through those undicided states or swing states. But what I want to say to Democrats in thoses states is that you are not voting for a person but the values of the Democratic Party. In the beginning of this race I was a Hillary supporter and then I became a supporter of Obama. For me, It would not have mattered who the Democrat was because I am a Democrat. This is not some popularity contest. Our future is at stake. Both candidates support the same causes that are dear to Democrats across this country. They may have had different ways to go about getting there, but they were headed in the same direction. So, true Democrats of MI(my home state), PA,IN,OH,FL and all over this great country. We are Democrats first, not judges at a beauty contest.

Iam an avid Obama supporter, but am frankly surpised by everyone's optimism today, though I hope it is merited. I too hoped that the Biden selection and the convention could give the campaign a boost, but the Gallup Daily Tracking Poll shows that McCain has actually taken a two point lead!! Unreal. I guess that the GOP Slime Machine and the media have once again been effective.
