Unity is found in downtown Denver

Posted: Wednesday, August 27, 2008 1:30 PM by Mark Murray

From NBC's Katie Primm
DENVER -- Last night, when Hillary Clinton walked out on stage to begin her speech, only three people were leaning over from their barstools listening at the Avenue Grill here in downtown Denver. But by the time she finished, a crowd of people burst into applause.

The clientele at the Avenue Grill was a mixed bag. Some had supported Hillary from the beginning, even going out to caucus for her in February. Others had been anxiously awaiting her departure from the race so Obama could become the nominee.

But as Clinton spoke, the reactions were the same -- nodding heads, laughter, applause, and the repeated phrase “She nailed it.”

Those three diehard Clinton supporters who had been glued to the TV before she even came out admired her composure and likened her to “a laser beam when she speaks” for her contact with the audience. (However, they were not fans of the orange pantsuit and thought that was her biggest misstep.)

More people started listening in earnest when her “No way, no how, no McCain” line prompted one patron to shout out “Start attacking -- let’s go girl!”

And that’s when the Obama supporters began to wander over as well.

One woman in particular related that she had been almost ostracized from her other friends when she revealed her initial support for Obama. As a middle-aged white woman, she said many of her friends told her she was betraying her gender by not voting Hillary. But those friends have come around and are now fully supporting Obama because, as she said, “there is no other option.”

She did a great job.
But dont ask Jos S or Mika. They are now all about trashing Olbermann and Matthews.
2 LOSERS. Joe S is a complete HACk and Mika is a DUMB BLONDE.

How bout this Ayers thing???
NOTHING THERE PEOPLE
Look at Chicago Tribune...

Whats next PAT B??? He is just an Old fart
She did nail it.....she did what she was supposed to do for her party and it's "nominee."
But, that does not necessarily mean that those of us who support and believe in her, are going to vote for Obama.
Because, quite frankly...we're not.
We're proud to be Democrats and we support our party's "intentions."
But, our country comes first, and we have unfortunately nominated an un-vetted, un-qualified, inadequate candidate in Barrack Obama.
Sorry ObamaMANIACS;
No, now how. NOBama!

HILLARY in 2012!!!!!!!!!
"As a middle-aged white woman, she said many of her friends told her she was betraying her gender by not voting Hillary."
------------------------------------------------------
As a middle-aged white woman myself, I will never understand this line of thinking.  Women did not fight so hard for the right to vote in order to vote in lockstep, without thinking and deciding for themselves.  Any "feminist" who tries to shame another woman into voting based solely on gender misses the point of feminism, entirely.

August 27, 2008 --
WHY is Hillary Clinton not Barack Obama's running mate?
That question had to be on many minds last night as Clinton delivered a rousing endorsement of Obama - a speech that moved between inspiration and attack, hitting every note perfectly.
The backdrop was constant carping that Hillary hasn't done enough for the candidate she lost the primary to.
Never mind that she has behaved immeasurably better than losing candidates before her who'd won far less support than she did.
It's easy to get confused about this, since so many in the anti-Hillary media who hysterically demanded her exit from the race have conveniently edited out from history anything that doesn't fit into their nonsense narrative, as if her campaign invented party discord.
Let's review.
Hillary Clinton - amid outrage at her behavior - made her concession speech and endorsed Obama five days after the last primary. The way Obama's fans in the media tell it, you'd think she took months. Compare to 1984, when Gary Hart waited nearly a month to concede the race to Walter Mondale. Ted Kennedy, who in the ultimate act of disunity challenged an incumbent Democratic president in 1980, waited until the convention to concede to Jimmy Carter.
When Kennedy finally did concede, it was barely distinguishable from a temper tantrum. CBS's Walter Cronkite reported, "Kennedy leaves the stand, sober, unsmiling. There will be no pictures in tomorrow morning's paper, and none for posterity, of Ted Kennedy holding Jimmy Carter's hand aloft."
As Steve Kornacki (one of the few reporters to show an interest in accurate historical analogies this campaign season) aptly pointed out in The New York Observer, when Kennedy and Hart were running much farther back in their bids for the nomination - Kennedy was trailing by 1,000 delegates in '80; Hart by 600 in '84 - they didn't get hit by any serious pressure to drop out.
Clinton, by contrast, was harassed by media to drop out even as she was winning major states and running neck-and-neck with Obama in the popular vote.
When she considered taking the fight to the convention, the idea was greeted with disbelief that she'd be so selfish. Yet Hart and Kennedy both fought on at the convention; Kennedy only conceded after failing to change party rules to his favor. It's this double standard that so enrages
Hillary supporters.
Obama supporters and party leaders continue to insult Hillary voters - and then seem shocked when so many of them say they're going to vote Republican this year.
Nancy Pelosi, underscoring why Congress under her leadership has an approval rating teetering on single digits, lectured female Hillary supporters in an interview this week - telling them to not wallow in defeat. Said the multimillionairess daughter of privilege: "I think that women, we have to get away from the politics of victim. This is about you go out there and you fight."
Thanks, Nancy. I'm sure all the working-class women who supported Hillary didn't realize that the real problem is they need to get off their butts and "go out there and fight." But now they know that being disappointed that their candidate didn't win - an emotion plenty of men like, say, Ted Kennedy supporters in 1980 have experienced - is actually just being a whiny "victim."
This is why John McCain stands at the ready to scoop up any disaffected Clinton supporters.
Just as the Democrats' convention was beginning in Denver, the McCain campaign and the Republican National Committee unleashed four TV ads geared toward Hillary voters. (Her response: "I am Hillary Clinton and I did not approve this message.")
The RNC held a press conference with four Democrats who declared their support for McCain since Clinton isn't on the ticket. Proving that truth is stranger than fiction, Hillary die-hards gathered at an RNC -sponsored "Happy Hour for Hillary" in Denver. (Clinton was invited, but demurred.)
And, with last night's speech, she pulled out all the stops for Obama. She's done all she could - now the ball's in his court.
You are all "wright" when you say obama did not steal the nomination.  He played within the Party's established rules to manipulate the pledge delegate count to over-rule the will of the people.(caucus)
That's fine. That's fair.. I guess.
But, you all need to remember those same rules insist that the Super Delegates vote for the BEST and MOST VIABLE candidate.  The Supers are the final say in all of this.  NEITHER CANDIDATE can capture the nomination without votes from Supers. Sit back and enjoy the ride!
NO WAY, NO HOW, NO MCCAIN!

I wonder how long before they make a campaign sign or bumper sticker out of that.
Two simple words for ya'll...Twenty Twelve!
...as in

Hillary/Warner 2012!  That's the dream ticket.

Although I will reluctantly cast my vote for Obama November, I am not confident he's going to win.
Only a Clinton can defeat an Incumbent Republican president. Therefore, only Hillary can defeat McCain in 2012!
I still don't believe there is total uity. People dislike obama and that has nothing o do with Hillary. No the discord is still there and always will be. Hillary speech last was nothing less than Perfection.
It will brng some into obamas fold, but the large part will remain distant. I am of the belief that Obama was favored by the DNC and therefore Hillary was not given a even playing field. There is rumor going around now that the DNC picked who they were going to nominate back in Feb after super tuesday. They have favored obama and ut pressure on  the super to back him.  Anyway, no the unity isn't there.
I listened to the speeches and was not surprised by what I heard, but I do have to wonder if it is true that no Democratic leaders read, or expect party members to do so.  Here is a news flash:  The U.S. Census bureau released the newest median income data:  for the third year in a row, real, (inflation adjusted) median income ROSE.  Nationally, it is UP 1.3 percent; moreover, this, added to the previous eight years, represents a seventeen per cent RISE in inflation adjusted income.  I guess Obama supporters will ignore the data, like they ignore Michelle Obama's role in getting the poor out of University of Chicago hospitals, or her husband's complete lack of  experience in anything but running for office.
Unfortunately divisive and critial comments by her surrogates ( Carville and Rendell) about the convention and Obama, confirmation by her aides that she IS planning on running in 2012  if Obama loses, and the fact that Billo is going to be conspicuously absent at Obam's acceptance speech tomorrow night tells me a lot more than words!!
My alarm is set to go off every morning @ 6:15; it is set to our local quite popular (I can’t stand them) sports talk show. The two morning commentators are right wingers. They sound like O’Reilly & Hannity & Limbaugh. This morning these are the first words I heard from these guys on the radio: “Hillary Clinton didn’t do enough for Barack Obama in her speech last night. It was all about her in 2012.”

I was curious so I put on Morning Joe  and Pat Buchanan & Joe Scarborough (who I no longer watch) were saying the exact same words I heard from the radio up here in Boston. Coincidence? No.

MSNBC: Why do you allow this propaganda to continue with these people? Right wing talking points are all over this convention and all over television. Every single GOP analyst is saying the EXACT same thing since Senator Clinton’s speech last night. It’s propaganda, pure & simple.

I have spent 2 years going after Fox Propaganda because they don’t do any reporting; they just lip sync what they are told. You now have commentators on air yourselves doing the same exact thing.

We’re all disappointed.

“Hmmmmmm,If this convention is going so well why does McCain end up leading in the polls.Uh Oh Could it be the more we get to know Barry the less we like him.Heee hee heeee.”  Truthteller (Sent Wednesday, August 27, 2008 10:20 AM)

Most likely it is because the Obama supporters aren’t home to answer their land lines.  They are either in Denver – or busy living in the 21st century with mobile technology.

Clara Kansas City, MO (Sent Wednesday, August 27, 2008 11:46 AM)

You're telling us that millions of Obama supporters aren't home because they're in Denver? Or that they don't answer their land-line phones because they have cellphones? Please, Republicans have just as many cell phones, if not more then Democrats, so that argument falls flat. And I doubt there are that many Obama supporters in Denver, even though most are unemployed and have the time. Gas costs lots of money now too because the Democrats choose to do nothing about it, so that's yet another strike on Obama's supports pilgramage to Mecca, ehh Denver.
MEMO to all Remaining PUMA's out there:

PUT ON YOUR BIG GIRL PANTIES AND DEAL WITH IT!!

This is not a game!  This is our future we are trying to salvage here and it's time to stop with the theatrics and GET OVER IT!!

ps;  thought Hillary did an awesome job last night - have never been a fan - but she came through with flying colors and it's time you did the same!

Obama Rocks!
Politics.  The art of making a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

Hillary Clinton:  Mrs. Roboto.
Democrats? Unity? Magic 8-ball (and the polls) says "Not Likely"!
Yep, nicely done Hillary.  You made all your points effectively without going overboard on any of them.

Now it's up to Joe.  I hope he holds nothing back!  I am so tired of Dems playing softball while the Republicans are throwing heat.  And PLEASE don't just talk about his 7 homes and how out of touch he is.  Hit him on his voting record.  Or his missed vote record.  Tell us about the stuff that the MSM won't.  There is no shortage of material!
I applaud Senator Clinton's speech and I hope her husband Bill does as well or better.

This whole disunity media topic is just a planned guerrilla tactic fueled by the McCain campaigns funding of supporters adding comments to all the blogs, including this one. The McCain campaign website includes tools to do this and offer rewards if you give them the urls/trackbacks of your negative comments.

Interesting that the McCain camp even found a way to dirty up the internet, not that they had to try that hard... the kooks and freaks out there pretending to be PUMAs and "the hateful Obama supporters" are likely responsible for generating the biggest media joke of this century.

Those PUMAs who so lovingly support HRC raised a grand total of $85K. If there were 18 million of them, a donation of a dollar or two each would retire her debt. It's a HYPE. WORSE, it's a REPUBLICAN HYPE.

Let's look at real issues and decide which affect you and your family and your job and make an intelligent decision about whom you'll vote for.

But in the meantime, let's give credit where due: Hillary, you did good girl! You rocked the house and we're proud of you. Tell Bill to do the same and show the American public that Senator Obama IS ready to lead, with help from ALL the Democrats, including you and including Bill Clinton.
I think Joe Scarborough is so rude, and crude with it, he should be put off the air.....what a total FXRT head.....deliver me!
Katie Primm forgot to add that everyone was completely wasted.

I'm actually somewhat surprised that there haven't been any fist-fights yet.  Kudos to the Democrats on appearing to achieve unity.

Fun times.

J. Merel Stanley, Phullleeeeze.  This has been an 18 month campaign where everything has been on the table and all aspects of each candidates lives have been laid bare ofr all to see.  Obama has been fully vetted, no question.  Question his experience?  Fine, but this inexperienced novice beat the best funded, "most experienced" political machine in the Democratic party, so what does that say about Hillary Clinton?  More importantly, what does all this say about you?

The Clinton and McCain folks like to talk about Obama "followers" as if it's a cult of personality, but by Hillary's own endictment you sir are clearly a blind follower of a cult of personality.  You are willing to sell out all that she has fought for her entire life, willing to let this country endure four more years of failed foreign and economic policy, four more years of handing over the judiciary to the far right wing (even handing them a lock on the Supreme Court for a generation, well beyond just Roe v Wade), four more years of millions of Americans without healthcare, of jobs being outsourced because its not the government's job in a rightwing world to protect American jobs, four more years of environemtnal degredation as drill here, drill now shouts out more realistic long-term solutions that bring with them more high-tech jobs to stimulate the US economy, four more years of ignoring our vital infrastructure at home while pursuing an endless occupation of Iraq abroad and god knows how many other senseless wars with McCain at the helm.  No sir, you know exactly what we're in for if we elect McCain (which is exactly why he doesn't want the spotlight turned on him or answer any policy questions himself), a guaranteed disaster.

But, apparently you're so infatuated with Hillary that it's worth it to you.  I care more about this country and my children's future than that.
I love this Merle Stanley ...he knows who's suffered, who's been a Peee OH DoubleU.  As long as there are sheep like him and I can keep the press off my flag wrapped back I'm going to be on easy street.  Years of going without my ding dongs and grapette may have scrambled my brain but I don't have to worry, I've had health care my whole life.  As long as I can use that puffed up Clinton broad I'll divide and conquer.  Thanks J. Merle (sucker)

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Thank you for that!  There is still time to turn this thing around.  I (along with many others) have been calling and emailing Supers all morning about doing the right thing and voting for Hillary!
Merle,
You very obviously are a Republican plant.
Now that Hillary has "nailed it," let's look at Obama.  I believe he is far and away the best candidate we have had since JFK, possibly even since Lincoln.  Both of these young presidents had very similar political experience to Obama's, and both had judgement, intellect, and wisdom comparable to Obama's.  We are fortunate, indeed, that he has come along at this moment in our history; he is sorely needed.  I believe this candidate will be among our truly great presidents.
I agree with Merle Stanley - Hillary did do a good speech, but the excitement was probably only among those already voting for Obama.  The only change in the polls will come from the big night, Thursday.  It is set up to be a big display, and it will push the polls.

The biggest challenge for Democrats now is that there will certainly be a bump in the polls, but not much.

That leaves the outcome of the election in the hands of the television advertisement writers.  Unless, there is a problem with a candidate or they have left themselves open to a Swift Boat attack.
I don't get the Obama supporters who keep crying about Joe Scarborough.  If you don't like the guy, DON'T WATCH HIS SHOW!  They sit back day after day and whine and cry about Scarborough when that FREAK elitist, sniveling Obama loving Mika Brzezinski can't seem to just do her dam job and stop trying to interject HER personal opinions.

Every dam person on MSNBC is head over heals in love with Obama except Joe Scarborough and that just pisses the Obama supporters off.  Well get over it and get over yourselves.

If you don't like the show, then don't watch it, morons!
For Merle Stanley from Westchecter, NY

Then you didn't HEAR Hillary's speech last night. If you where her supporter then she asked you to support Obama. You are only disappointing Hillary when you say that you won't vote for him. Please stop saying you are not voting for Obama because you are a Hillary supportor. Shame on you, for making Hillary look bad...

I'm a Hillary supportor who is now a Obama supportor
I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, vote for obama, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, was all that was said last night.  No plans, no policy, no nothing.
It's funny that Obama has been doing so much for the American People for so long and yet he keeps having to RE-introduce himself because not enough people know who he is.

It's funny that Obama and his wife (good acting job when she delivered her speech BTW)keep having to tell everyone in this country how much they love this country.  Usually when you love something or someone that much, you don't have to constantly go around trying to point it out and remind people all the time, because everyone already knows.

Actions speak louder than words.

Sure the Obama’s really love this country.  Sure they are really proud of this country (now).  It's amazing what people will do and say just to get elected POTUS.

All the Obama supporters keep saying that Hillary and Bill Clinton need to just go away already.  Fine with me and when they go, they need to take the 18 million people that voted for Hillary with them.  Considering every political expert agrees that without them Obama can’t win, I want to see Obama win the general election without them.

That's the problem with the Obama supporters, they want the Clinton's to go away and at the same time they think it's the responsibility of the Clinton's to make the 18 million people that voted for Hillary, vote for Obama.  I don't think so!

Since when is it anyone’s job other than the candidate running for office to get people to vote for them?  If Obama wants the 18 million votes that Clinton received, then let him do what ever is necessary to make that happen.  The burden is on Obama to get any of the votes necessary to get elected and no one else.

The Obama supporters keep telling former Clinton supporters that if they aren’t going to vote for Obama then they should just quit/leave the Democratic Party because they’re not true Democrats.  The problem with Obama supporters is that they are making a LOT of assumptions.

It obviously has NEVER occurred to the Obama supporters (what a shock) that there are many former Clinton supporters who ARE NOT TRUE DEMOCRATS, thus they don’t need to quit/leave the Democratic Party since they are Independents and don’t belong to the lame Democratic Party anyway.

There are a lot of former Clinton supporters that were supporting Hillary Clinton for President because they believe that she is the most qualified person next to John McCain in 2008 to replace George Bush, not because of her Party affiliation or theirs.  So once again, the Obama supporters are missing the point.

Since many of the former Clinton supporters don’t have ANY loyalty to the Democratic Party, they can and will exercise their right to vote for the MOST qualified person for the job instead of blindly voting for whatever idiot the Democratic Party puts up as their nominee again, just like 2004.
"Gas costs lots of money now too because the Democrats choose to do nothing about it"

Wake up you simple minded sheep gas prices are out of control because you have two oil men named Bush/Cheney in the White house. Anything else is pure nonsense. Oil was $1.00 gallon when they got in the White House now it’s near $4.00. Heckave job Brownie.
"There is a rumour going around......

__________________________
This is the problem.  Why do a get the feeling sir or madam, that many of the feelings, decisions, etc. you talk about are based on rumours.  You talk about people not liking Obama.  That's fair and perfectly human.  But, I have to say this, why can't Hillary supporters understand that there are people who don't like her?  Why are more than 18 million people so easily dismissed as nothing more than "cult followers" and "kool-aid drinkers"?  We here all the time from Hillary supporters how insulted they have been, they have been respected and so forth.  Can you honestly say you have been respectful of Obama supporters?  Have you?

I'm sorry, I hear what you are saying.  But this idea of carrying a chip on your shoulder and being vindictive is ridiculous.  As Andrea Mitchell (who I don't often agree with) just said listening to a lot of these people is  like being in high school.  Not my words - just passing them along.  But she is right.

Please - you don't have to fall in love with Sen Obama.  But to vote against your interests and things you say you believe in - I just don't understand that.  At all.

I think Sen Clinton did a wonderful job last night - under circumstances that had to be extremely painful for her.  She was graceful, forceful, passionate.  And I'll tell you---she earned a lot of respect from a lot of people who otherwise had their doubts about how she would do.

Sen Clinton --You rock!!!

Obama/Biden '08
To all the democrats for McCain:
Hve you considered the future of your children and grand children: No reflief from taxes, No relief from the oil prices, paying for the tremendous debt the republicans have creted, lousy health care and continuing greed by the well to do. Think about that and not about yourself and the next 4 miserable years under McCain
read this in the morning,That Jonny Bomber had all the homeless people in Phoenix rounded up by the police dept and put on bus and taken away from a area that the bomber was going to speak.Didn't want to chance that a homeless veteran might be seen.Is this true?Anyone.
As a fellow "fiesty redhead" I have to agree: it's time for "big girl panties" - great line!

Thank you Hillary for doing your part.

Go Obama/Biden!
So basically what you're saying Hillary/Obama Chgo,IL, is that you don't think for yourself, you let the Democratic Party or other people do that for you?

Sounds like a true Obama supporter.
By now, it should be obvious to most of us that PUMAs are not true Democrats – they are either lying, Operation Chaos Republicans or Independents with severe cognitive and mental deficiencies.  Of course, a lying Republican is a redundancy.

By now, it should be painfully clear that too many Americans are beyond stupid and that negative ads work.  The Republicans know this and take advantage of the vast majority of low-information, low education and high-ignorance voter.  These Republicans have no ethics and no morals.  They enjoy  manipulating the non-thinking masses.  They promote anti-intellectualism and disparage it as “elitism.” In fact, Republicans are the worst elitists of all.

By now, it is sadly evident that rascism still thrives in this country and it will probably be rascism that determines the outcome of this campaign.

By now, it is apparent that John McCain is a privileged idiot who is just as dumb and angry and dangerous and moronic as W.  At least Laura Bush never looks like an abused, brainless wife.  Cindy: you do not NEED this man. Run away. Now.

And by now, I think I’m finally getting used to voting for candidates who lose because they are good, intelligent, thoughtful people who genuinely care about the well-being of Americans.  I’m proud to be a Democrat and I will “keep going” even though the Republican dogs are barking and their thugs are carrying their torches and keep shouting their fear-mongering tactics.

Hillary:  thanks for a great speech last nite.

56 year old white woman with a brain who’s voting for Obama in Purple AZ!!
Get a life, you are right on!  He's about the only person I can even stomach on MSNBC, who long ago ceased to be a 'news' channel.
"I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, vote for obama, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, was all that was said last night.  No plans, no policy, no nothing"

Maybe you missed the 90% of the speech talking about, you know, healthcare, green energy, middle class tax cuts, ending the war in Iraq responsibly, talking care of our veterans, etc...  I mean, it was only the overwhelming majority of the speech...

Next we're going to hear that she and Obama need more specifics, and then when they give them they'll complain about electing a bunch of college prof policy wonks, when the American people just want leadership, dangit!  Typical.
Whenever I hear Hillary's ardent supporters say "Obama is an empty suit" or unqualified or inexperience, I have to wonder--have you taken the time to listen to him?  Have you gone to his web site and read his very detailed plans?  You don't know enough about him?  Stop turning the tv off everytime he comes on.  Listen to the man and you might find out that he stands for the same issues that you stand for.  As for experience, he has more than Lincoln, FDR and several others who were fantastic presidents!  Please for the sakes of our children, open your minds, your hearts and your eyes and vote for our future.  Honor Hillary as you say you do and vote for her issues.
Of course she nailed it. I didn't like what she was oing to Obama from the start. I'm one of thsoe who beleive that the problems Obama is having now , besides being black, eminate from her attacks . McLazy doesn't have to do anything but contiue what she started. I also understand why she did what she did. She is a Democrat and truly believes she can and should have been able to save the country. I think she will go to her grave believing she would have been the better pick. But if you think that she ran a crappy campaign and missed some very important decisions at exactly the wrong moments, then you have to wander about how she would do as President. Unlike the MSM I think that has nothing to do with her gender and I don't think gender or the use of it had anything to do with her loss. Frankly as much as I am a Barak diehard, I really expected her to pass right by him. I don't like her politics and fairly or not believe that she thought she deserved to be it by assention, but clearly that didn't happen. So she did(last night) what I had expected she would have done in the primaries and expect she will do throughout the rest of her career. The problem now is that some damge has been done by her and she has gone a long way towards repairing it. I expect Bill will do the same tonight, even if he has to bite his lip. People tend to forget that we have Goerge Bush because of Bill's screwup and a republican attack machine that was perched ad waiting for the moment to strike and America is getting what we deserve for letting them, Rebubs and their powerful corporate freinds, backed by thier news lackys, scare us into believing the big lie.
And still there are dummies out there, a lot of them still drinking the kool-aid who will listen to all the crap being wispered and sometimes shouted. Don't listen, be smart, look things up and verify.
I love the bar analogy, it was great. Yes hillary is back, just to visit. She will be a great help to Obama
in the next tow months and for the 4 years or more that he is in office. I never supported Hillary, not because of Hillary but because of the baggage. I cant imagine the ads from the GOP were she the nominey. Bill is this womans biggest mistake, not her pantsuit.
Some of us women could never have stayed with her husband after being humiliated time and time again.
I have allways thought she would do better by herself.
Oh well! good luck to all of us.
Watch c-span its great saw all of the speeches, only checked out MSNBC if it was boring. Chris M used to be my guy, not so much anymore, The Hillary 24/7 watch
network. I love Olberman and Rachel Maddow, cant wait for her show to start next week. Joe S. seemed a little subdued last night but this morning had to turn
him off. I really cant watch him anymore, I am really concerned about Mika, does she know what she thinks.
Is she on that show because she is pretty or because
her daddy is a big shot, I really want to like her but she makes it hard, Joe talks down to her and hollers at her, WTF. Pat. B. says the same thing over and over, I think hes suppose to be a christian. I was told G-D dont like ugly.

Obama/Biden
I'm wondering what these foolish women are going to do once the spotlight is turned off. Most of what is going on is wanting to be noticed. They don't care about the issues facing this country.. all they care about is a chance to have 5 minutes of fame. They didn't listen to one word that Hillary said last night... it was still all about them. Do they care about womens rights? Do they care about families struggling to put food on the table? Do they care about people losing their jobs? The answer to all these questions is NO. They don't know what they care about. The media has helped create this frenzy and they all caught up in it.

All I can say is that you are all an embarrassment to yourselves, your families, and Hillary. Do you think she is happy about your childish tantrums. I think not. I watched a woman being interviewed last night. She was all smiles until the camera focused on her and then she acted like a complete idiot. I just wish the media would stop pretending that these people make a difference. They don't and they are doing nothing to further Hillary's role in the democratic party.
The truth of the matter is you cant make everyone happy 100% of the time. There will always be nay sayers and complainers and folks whining about whatever is decided but we need to get past this. What democrats need to wake up and understand is that instead of us acting like we are 2 years old and not supporting the party and the choice that has clearly been made, just because... we need to come together now more than ever and vote Obama. Reguardless of what you wanted to happen. The issues of solving our economic problems and healthcare on our own soils is still here. Are we going to let the Republicans give us more of the same ole same ole or are we going to suck it up and be the bigger people in November and vote Barack. Wake up folks. Some of us as a people dont like it but there is nothing we can do to change who our nominee is. all we can do is support who our next president should be.
Truthteller:

Obama has regained the lead in Gallup daily tracking.  The lead will likely go back and forth during the conventions.  I hope you are paying attention each day, and not just on days that are "good" for McCain.
Hillary's speech was awesome, she was so good, and I did have the nervous feeling, what if we made a mistake? Then I remembered that 49% of the electorate said they would never vote for her, and I imagined how I would have felt if Obama had lost the nomination, we ran Clinton and she lost because the African Americans stayed home and the Hillary haters came out in droves? Electing Obama will be a challenge, but if we do, America will have one of the best Presidents to follow one of the worst.

Anyone who runs for president is pretty into themselves.  So what?

So... Hillary has a bit more on the line.

Lots of revenge, lots of anger, oodles of plain old devious sociopathic behavior patterns she seems to need to work out in the body public.

It all came out last night, channeled into a marvelous speech.  One of the best ever.  And it was all about her.  Her dreams.  her ambitions.  Her martyrdom for the cause.

Like a lot of people exposed to the celebrity sunlamp tooo long, she is morally scorched.

Watch Willie tonight and the tale will be told.

(Count how many times he intones, "Four more years.  Think about it.)

ANY AMERICAN WHO SAYS THEIR COUNTRY COMES FIRST AND REFUSES TO VOTE FOR CHANGE IS NOT TELLING THE TRUTH.

Bush is leaving office with the Country $10 Trillion in debt, fighting 2 wars, our international reputation in shambles, our government cloaked in secrecy and suspicion that his entire presidency has been a litany of broken laws and promises, our citizens faith in our own country ripped to shreds.  Yet Bush bumbling along, grinning and spewing moronic one-liners, as though nobody understands what a colossal failure he has been.

THIS IS WHERE WE ARE AND OUR CURRENT STATUS, FUTURE AND OUR CHILDREN'S FUTURES ARE HANGING IN THE BALANCE.

HILLARY ASKED WERE YOU IN THIS FOR ME?

THESE WOMEN WHO WERE IN IT FOR HILLARY HAD BETTER ASK THEMSELVES BECAUSE IF THAT ANSWER IS YES, THEY WERE IN IT FOR THE WRONG REASONS

HILLARY MADE IT CLEAR THAT THE FUTURE OF THE COUNTRY IS AT STAKE IN HER WORDS

"NOTHING LESS THAN THE FATE OF OUR NATION AND THE FUTURE OF OUR CHILDREN ARE IN PERIL"

HILLARY GETS IT, IF THESE WOMEN WHO ARE HANGING ON BECAUSE A WOMAN DID NOT BECOME PRESIDENT TO "SHOW THEIR COUNTRY" THEY WON'T SUPPORT WHAT'S BEST FOR THE COUNTRY,  THEN

WE WISH THEM WELL.  AN OVERWHELMING NUMBER OF US ACTUALLY GET IT.

WE WERE NOT IN IT FOR HILLARY BUT FOR OUR FAMILIES AND OUR COUNTRY.

A VOTE IS A SERIOUS DECISION THAT NOT ONLY AFFECTS THE VOTER BUT THEIR NEIGHBOTS AS WELL

FOR ANY WOMAN TO TAKE THAT RESPONIBILITY AT THE CONSTANT URGING OF THE MEDIA OPINIONS, AND THEIR URGING TO WIN THE "RATING SWEEPS" YET BEING IRRESPONSIBLE TO THE VOTERS WITH THEIR RECKLESS REPORTING RATHER THAN REPORTING "THE FACTS" AND PROVIDING AMERICANS WITH TOOLS TO MAKE AN INFORMED DECISION, SHAME ON THE MEDIA.

THE MEDIA HAS BECOME A PLAYGROUND FOR "RENTLESS OPINIONS"

THOSE OF US WHO ARE A PART OF THIS PROCESS CAN HONESTLY SAY WE ARE NOW "IN STEP WITH" SENATOR OBAMA AND OUR VOICES WILL RULE IN NOVEMBER
