Does rollout schedule rule out Lieberman?

From NBC/NJ's Matthew E. Berger
The McCain campaign reportedly plans to roll out its vice presidential choice throughout the weekend with rallies at sports arenas in Ohio on Friday, Pennsylvania on Saturday, and Missouri on Sunday.

If the plans are to be believed, it may very well rule out the potential for Sen. Joe Lieberman to be McCain's running mate. Lieberman, a religious Jew, does not campaign on Saturdays and most likely would not drive in the bus that is transporting McCain and his new VP. Lieberman was known to even skip his official Senate nomination at the Connecticut Democratic convention because it was held on a Saturday, and he adhered to the Sabbath while running with Al Gore in 2000 as well. He does vote when the Senate is in session on Saturdays, but walks to the Capitol.

Certainly, Lieberman could skip the Saturday event and rejoin McCain on Sunday outside of St. Louis. But it would be an awkward way to roll out an already controversial running mate.

TRUE.  BUT IT DOESN'T RULE OUT TOM RIDGE (McCain's personal first choice)?
Its always nice to hear about people who stick to what they believe even when its not convenient or politically expedient. Good for Lieberman.
NEW ORLEANS — On the eve of Hurricane Katrina's third anniversary, a nervous New Orleans watched Wednesday as another storm threatened to test everything the city has rebuilt, and officials made plans to evacuate people, pets and hospitals in an attempt to avoid a Katrina-style chaos.

Forecasters warned that Gustav could grow into a dangerous Category 3 hurricane in the next several days and hit somewhere along a swath of the Gulf Coast from the Florida Panhandle to Texas _ with New Orleans smack in the middle.

Dobson urges his flock to pray for rain during Obama's speech thursday.

What does God send?

A Category 4 Hurricane to hit the Gulf Coast during the first two days of the Republican Convention.

Tropical Storm Gustav may regain hurricane status. This Hurricane will send a clear message a to the GOP next week.

It will remind everyone of Katrina I hope no one gets hurt though. It will take the news away from the Meeting of the; Heads Top Crime Family's in Minn. next week!

Remember how that freak Dobson asked that his cult pray for rain during Obama's speech? Now there's a good chance that a hurricane will strike the US during the GOP convention. Hmmmmmm.
Why would any pro-choice person vote for John "I Hate Women" McCain?  Why would any woman vote for him, considering the denigrating and disrespectful way he treats them and the sorts he hangs out with?  Go ahead and pick a pro-choice VP candidate, McCain.  We all know that you are NOT on our side and your VP will not have any power over Supreme Court nominees.  We're not so stupid to be fooled by your little tricks.  And, hopefully, you'll lose your evangelical base for doing it.
I was just watching Keith, Chris, Tom & David in the minutes following the roll call. This is truly the countdown to witnessing Senator Barack Obama walking out on the stage to accept his nomination as our first African American presidential nominee tomorrow night.

It's going to be one unbelievably emotional night for millions of people in this country. Keith & Chris will not disappoint us. They instinctively understand the historical significance of this convention.

This really is our moment. America's moment.
In case anyone is wondering most Jews are loyal Democrats and despise Lieberman so I don't see him helping there.  As a pro-choice East Coast Jew I don't see him helping with evangelicals or the in the south.  And as hostile as I was to Cheney back in 2000, Lieberman was so weak and whiney and just plain ANNOYING in their debate, even I would have preferred Cheney if I had just arrived from another planet and  didn't know anything about him.  Lieberman has always reminded me of the guy who played ALF's dad on that old sitcom.   Unfortunately I don't believe we Democrats will be so lucky as to get Lieberman for GOP VP.  We wish!
"Traitor" Joe Lie-berman was a total loser 8 years ago with his tepid campaigning and he won't be selected by "Bush Hugger" McCain beause that would cause the evangelical christian lunatic fringe to go wild with anger and they wouldn't support him.  This is all just a bunch of media malarkey and a misdirection from the repugnant ones to fool people into thinking they're somehow not ultra radical.

Nope I've been starting to think that with all the effort they're putting in now to try to drive a wedge between Obama and Clinton supporters that "Woman Hater" McCain will pick a woman for his running mate.  Either "Stepford Wife" Kay Bailey Hutchinson or "I Wrecked HP" Carly Fiorina.  He has to shore up his huge lack of female support and go for a gimmick.

Whoever "Warmonger" McCain picks will be a total loser.  "False Patriot" Romney would be a poor choice with his 5 cowardly sons who were too chicken to serve in our military since the Warmonger needs to be able to beat the drums of war.  Nope he has no good choices so who cares?  I sure don't and I won't be bothering to waste a single second watching the repugnant one's convention.

Go Obama/Biden 08/12!
C A. Tuscaloosa (3:53 p.m.) (from another thread)

My friend.  Your post about what qualifies a person to be president was perhaps the finest post I’ve EVER seen you write, and I’ve known you for a long time.  I could “hear what you were saying” all the way up here in “ole reliable Wisconsin.”  Impeccably reasoned and beautifully stated.  Your deep and abiding love for your country shows through clearly.  What you said is so true.  Meg may not know what’s up, but you SURELY do.  Always.

Obama//Biden 08

Tom Ridge is McCain's first choice.  But Ridge won't be his running mate because McCain has sold out everything that he once stood for to be president.  This one last thing will be sold off too for the votes of the religious right.
NO....it just rules out John McCain...
RE: John McCain's constant references about his days as a prisoner of war

If you think about it, we are all prisoners of war, and have been since the day the first shots were fired in Iraq.  Our national treasury has been plundered and drained by this war, and day after day we remain captives to a floundering economy, high gas prices, and uncertainty about how and when the war will come to an end.

So, John McCain has no corner market on being a prisoner of war.  We are all experiencing the pain of war, and if he were to be elected, he would become our next captor.

Ironic, isn't it?

I surely wish someone at the convention, in a television ad, or on the stump in the weeks to come would make this point loud and clear.
It doesn’t matter demnted can't top what the democrats did tonight; and what we will do for the future of our country  and regain our place in the world. We need not play the FEAR CARD. Democrats have character; most Repubs don’t.
Hillary, I’m labeling you the Black Harriet Tubman. You lead the charge not to follow that amnesiac McCain; who needs an Alzheimer’s exam and would give us 4 mo years of the lasts 8   as you said.
You did it Black Harriet Tubman a.k.a Black Moses, you made me smile just even made Bill smile last night. I’m so happy. You are a great lady. As a descendant of slaves, I feel your impact on me as a woman. Tell Bill I said you looked so beautiful tonight.
We are one in your kinship. The bond you created tonight will always be in the annals of history. I can’t think of a better as a conductor on the road to taking America’s liberties back.  ANT no stopping us now.
Yes you did. Let’s go Harriet Tubman.
Yes we can.
Yes we can.
No way

No how
No McCain!

Nobody but Obama
Obama/Biden 08/12

John McCain should be rolled out of town
as toxic waste...spinning and spinning to the bottom of the GOP dung heap...

Rollout the barrel has a whole new meaning to me now...
Thanks Matthew E. Berger
TOO bad Lieberman did such a great job losing for us he is McCains perfect canidate.  If he doent pick lieberman who is going to whisper in his ear when he makes another mistake

Mitt for VP!
What is Lieberman's excuse for not serving in the US military?
If being a P.O.W. is all you need to become a hero and leader.  Then we are developing a lot of hero's and world leaders at Gitmo.

No, you say.

Well there goes McBush's entire campaign.

Tom Ridge will be Mccain's VP pick, mark my words.
McCain/Romney08!   Go Mitt!
I've never considered der Liebermann. They'd riot at their convention. Tom Ridge? Only if you want Rush doing the PUMA.

Tim Pawlenty or a woman.
It is a good thing you people are high on crack, because you will dry-out after the election, much as you did when Gore LOST in 2000 and Kerry was humiliated in 2004.  This one is going to be worse, a truly monumental blowout that will send Alec Baldwin and Tim Robbins running for Canada or France (GOD PLEASE !!!!!!).

You lose again, get a better plan, something with REALITY involved..................
The Sidekick was never going to pick Lieberman, it's just a smoke screen to pump up the base when he picks Mitt.
John McCain will be in Washinton PA. A small town that has suffered for a long time.
What the heck is he going there for, is it Ridge, if it is I don't think it helps him at all.
Four more years of the same, NO WAY, NO HOW, NO McCAIN.
I am feeling the unity, lets go blue tidal wave!
If it's Lie-berman then maybe they have a cardboard cutout that they will carry around, no difference there.
People are so blind. Can't you see a Socialist Movement on the part of Obama. I don't understand people are more concern about making history then dealing what will come if turns out to be the next President. The Democrats are becoming two separate identies: Consertative and Liberals. People are so blind take a look at Cuba, Venezuela, China, Russia, Iran, and Korea. You think the socialist party is not evolving. Get ready peoples freedom will disappear and those dreams of taken the nation is Marxism. Last time I heard about change was when communist land on Cuba. I know I have family there. People need to really a take a good look. Search online regarding other socialist movements taking place across the U.S.; you will be surprised. Obama serving 1 term in the Senate believes he can control the world. Anyways back to reality, it doesn't make any sense. The truth everyone knows that John McCaine is well prepared to become the next president. People are playing with fire; I prefer to be free and not hostil. I vote for John McCaine/08
McCain said on MSNBC's Hardball many months ago that he would not choose someone to be the vice-presidential nominee who is pro-choice such as Tom Ridge.  But as we have already seen, McCain will do whatever it takes and break any promise if that is what it takes to win this election.  Bring on Tom Ridge and we can remember his leadership at Homeland Security and all his color alerts.

Richard
Chuck Todd:
Given that both McCain and the Obama tickets missed the deadline of getting on the ballot in Texas, what do you think it means to the electoral and daily tracking polls?
LOL at you people who actually think the men will be inside the bus. They all will be on a separate private charter planes.
Capt. Smash 22 people are allready dead from the storm you are just hoping hits your country. Real classy buddy. By the way some of you disciples really need to take a step back and see politicans for what they are.  By the way the race is a toss up.
