More Palin background

Posted: Friday, August 29, 2008 12:59 PM by Domenico Montanaro

From NBC’s Jim Miklaszewski, Courtney Kube
Gov. Sarah Palin's son, Track, enlisted in the Army on Sept. 11, 2007, and is now stationed at Fort Wainwright, Alaska.

Private First Class Track Palin is an infantry soldier, assigned to the 1-1 Bravo Company, 52nd Infantry Regiment.  (We are checking whether PFC Palin's company is deploying to Iraq later this fall with the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division out of Fort Wainwright.)

Joe Biden’s son, Beau, is also scheduled to be heading to Iraq before the end of the year.

NBC’s Carol Eggers adds that the LA Times points out: “When prenatal genetic testing of their fifth child showed he had Down syndrome last spring, the couple went ahead with the birth in May and now talk of him as the joy of their life. … One of ...... their other four children entered the Army and deploys to Iraq next month."

When prenatal genetic testing of their fifth child showed he had Down syndrome last spring, the couple went ahead with the birth...
She had the right to choose here and did choose BUT is ready to take that right away from all other women!

ENOUGH!!!
GO OBAMA/BIDEN
If being a P.O.W. is all it takes to become a hero and world leader.  Well we are creating a bunch of them at Gitmo.

No, you say, it takes more that being a P.O.W.

Well there goes McBush's entire campaign.

IF, you have a brain, you'll say no to McCain.

Please post this, you have been ignoring me for three days.
Pandering!  He must think we're so stupid!  Thinks he'll get the ex-Hillary women.  How insulting to women!
One thing to think about…

McCain is not comfortable with this pick…
How can you tell???

Well every time he is in an uncomfortable setting he messes with his wedding ring.

He did it when Bush endorsed him…

He did it when he had to be schooled on the difference of Sunni and Shiite by Leiberman…

And he is doing it now with the new VP pick….

she looks like a real moron...no chance in hell...what is she doing with 5 kid working she should be home baking cookies for her kids....
Hey Chuck ....all of the other sites are posting comments ....what happ'ed to FR?
Just heard Gov. Palin's speech.  Right now, in Obama land, they are asking themselves why they lacked the courage to choose Hillary.  Wonder of Biden will drop out, leaving that opening?

I laughed out loud when I heard the Democrati response to the choice, questioning her 'experience'.

And. . .a brief comment on last night's 'triumph' in the acropolis:  I heard Bill Clinton, (middle class tax cuts-still waiting for that Clinton middle class tax cut); I heard Michale Dukakis, (eight is enough); I guess Obama has learned something from Biden after all-plagiarism in pursuit of your own personal goals is not a vice.

The one line I used after the speech, in the interest of full disclosure, was Walter Mondale's:  Where's the Beef?
No disrespect to her, I like alot about her.  But having a special needs child in April 2008, how can she be devote the time needed to be VP and care for her son?  Had to have been a very hard choice for her.

Not being sexist, but hard to imagine how she can do both.
The woman is under investigation in her own state!  As of today I'm switching to Bob Barr.  He conservative with a good record. I have come to the conclusion that John McCain is either too old or -- well I don't know what.  There was Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee and Tim Pawlenty not to mention two real good female CEO's to choose from!  I am going to drop my republican registration and turn independent.  Obama will win, yes, but it's the RNC that has really failed us.  I'm voting Barr.
Ummm...I'm not sure I really get it.  After months of arguing that Obama is not tested and not ready...how do you make the argument that the former mayor of a small town and 2 year governor of Alaska IS ready to be president?

I'm a woman...and I understand that Pallin has ovaries too...but how does that make her ready to be president?
Have you seen the photo of the Sarah's husband... as the First Laddie.....? Would you like him to represent America?????
Wow.  We thought McCain and his advisors were out of touch with women.  Now we know it.   In an attempt to win women's votes, he's picked a former beauty queen with practically no experience, who wants to overturn Roe v. Wade.
This proves how little his campaign understands about the women of this country, now.  Give us a Rhodes Scholar with a real track record of accomplishments instead of insulting our intelligence yet again.
What kind of a mother leaves her six-month-old baby with Down Syndrome and four other children, to run for the Vice-Presidency?
I must say, the Republican party is good at picking up the "single issue" voters.  Now they have the "woman-on-the-ticket or nothing" voters who formally supported Hillary, and the anti-abortion voters.  But will that be enough to win?  Hoepfully not, because Palin is woefully underqualified to be president if 72 year old McCain can't make it through 4 years.
My first thought when I heard his pick was "GAME ON".  Then within an hour, I just felt sick to my stomach.  To think that she would allow herself to be used.  Clearly she has been picked only because she is a woman and not because she is qualified for the job.  Now my emotions have taken me to angry.  It is a sad day when John McCain is so out of touch with America that he believes the choice of ANY woman on the ticket will be acceptable to us.  What a slap in the face to all of Hillary's supporters.  With his age, Americans need to take a stronger look at his VP choice as there is a tangible possibility that this person will have to step in as president.  Someone that was mayor of a town of less than 8000 people just two years ago DOES NOT fit our countries needs. To think of her taking her disabled baby on the campaign trail is sickening and the thought of her leaving her child is just as bad. This choice shows incredible lack of judgement, just proving the point that within the next four years his VP could have to step in for the sole reason of compitency.  So I say indeed "GAME ON"- I do not see sex, race or religion.  I see a job application and who would I hire for the job- 40 year old happily married REPULICAN mother of two that will be changing to independant and proudly voting for OBAMA!
What did Track Palin do that a judge gave him the sentence to enlist or serve rome.
