Hillary: No way to McCain-Palin

Posted: Thursday, September 04, 2008 10:53 PM by Mark Murray

From NBC's Mark Murray
Hillary Clinton just released this statement: "The two party conventions showcased vastly different directions for our country. Sen. Obama and Sen. Biden offered the new ideas and positive change America needs and deserves after eight years of failed Republican leadership. Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin do not."

"After listening to all the speeches this week, I heard nothing that suggests the Republicans are ready to fix the economy for middle-class families, provide quality affordable health care for all Americans, guarantee equal pay for equal work for women, restore our nation's leadership in a complex world or tackle the myriad of challenges our country faces. So, to slightly amend my comments from Denver: NO WAY, NO HOW, NO McCAIN-PALIN."

Perfect. McCain/Palin is not what the country needs. They are trying to make the election about ANYTHING but the issues, and it's because they are wrong on every stinking major issue. So, they resort to the childish tactics of mocking, distorting, lying, and crying about the media. It won't work this year.
I think Mike Murphy said it best, of camera, joined by Peggy Noonan. "It's over." (BTW, they were talking about a win for their Party.)
She hasn't even heard McCain's speech yet so how can she make that judgement. Seems like another Obama statement that Clintons have to push to save their place in the Democratic party.
Hillary you are old news. You were second best to a democratic nominee that no experience ano skills to lead this nation. take yourslef and Bill and fade into the past you belong in.Even the biased liberal coverage from MSNBC cant hold back The next President of these United States, John McCain
Thanks Hillary! Now, get out there and squash that horrid pit bull of a woman. Show her what real women are made of! Silly Eskimo thinks she can run a country... ha ha!
Finally Hillary appears. Thank God!
Oh How I wish Senator Obama had chosen Hillary to be his VP candidate. No-I am not suggesting a female mud wrestling idea-although...
Seriously though-I think that the difference between the two parties is very evident. I didn't care to hear the "heal the sick and raise the dead" crack from a candidate-I expect that from Jon Stewart or SNL. I don't care that a Hockey Mom wears lipstick and a Pit Bull doesn't-I want to hear what the Republicans are offering in McCain and Palin that is new and exciting and different than what we have now and what the Democrats are offering to us. I want to hear why McCain is going to be the best person for the job and how she will support him and what she would bring to the VP position.

All they have shown us so far is that they are still the mean spirited party they have shown themselves to be since 199w-I still remember Buchanan's hate filled speech to the delegates-what they have shown so far has not changed my mind.

Senator Clinton was correct-"No way! No how! No McCain-Palin"
Who is Hillary?
Good thing that women are smart enough to realize that Hillary isn't the only game in town. How monolithic do the Democrats think women, blacks, homesexuals, etc. are anyway? They don't all march lockstep with Hillary, Sharpton/Jackson, etc. So maybe there was something in Palin's speech for the women, even if the Democrats and Hillary can't see that.
And how right she is. And Hillary has more experience than miss beauty contest winner. Oh thought I would bring up one more thing and all you MCain people can check this fact out...it has always been republicans that have put us in recessions and has always been democrats who get us back to prosperity. History has prove it over and over again. And to all you Hillary supporters that have turned to McCain you should all be ashamed.
Go Hillary, time to help elect Obama and say no to McCain/Palin.
AMEN TO THAT HILLARY! I HOPE YOU'LL CONTINUE TO SPEAK OUT NOW--MORE THAN EVER!
Amen! Now she needs to say that multiple times until the election so it sinks in for everyone. It may also help if she makes repeated statements of how Palin is nothing like her except for being a woman and urges voters to look at the issues. Then maybe those straggling HRC supporters who are foolish enough to believe voting for McCain is like voting for Hillary (I mean his VP would be a woman and all), might understand a little bit of the truth and come back to the correct side in this important election. Hillary can run again in 2016 when Obama's done (and after serving 8 years in his Cabinet).
It's about time she came out to say something! Keep swinging Hillary and wipe that lipstick off her smug face!
Right on Hilary\
ALL HAVE HEARD IS LIES,......

Hillary, you are the woman to take Sarah on! She is trying to take your supporters to her side, based on our plumbing! Let her know in no uncertain terms, that she is 'NO HRC'! You worked too hard to break that glass ceiling to let someone like this glide through it!
Hillary is just terrific. I'm sure Obama can depend on her to be out on the campaign trail at least once this fall. Bill of course will be in the Middle East giving speeches at $500000 a pop. What a great family.
And after tonight's speech by Mr. McCain it's obvious that the Republican party will lose and LOSE BADLY!!!
A little jealous Hillary?
So where is the change? what is the plan? All this talk and i hear nothing but bs from john McCain. His loyal supporters look bored. he even tried to do what Obama did and show live broadcast from here in Ga and around the world from Times Square and other various places. Everyone looks bored as hell. All i hear is talk. Str8 talk or not all i hear are general statements that any idiot can make. I can get on tv and make promises. What do you consider decent wages. just by mentioning the words you want folks to hear what is the point? what the hell was the point of the republicans convention. all i heard was an attack puppet in a skirt last night dish out slander and hate and an old guy promise nothing what is the point can someone please tell me? All i hear are hyped up exerts of what Obama already said. you cant be a maverick if you revise what someone else said without really saying anything. McSame is lame. empty promises. I am so glad this is the last night of this crap. Its boring and there is no substance. How do you claim change when you are 72 and cant use a computer? the only way to stay ahead of the game is to stay ahead of the competition. How is a 72 year old man and an attack dog in a skirt and lipstick going to protect us from anyone except their lies scandals and own agendas. . Folks its time to stand up and state your claim in this years election. there will always be naysayers and folks who disagree with you. this is where it must end.

Obama/Biden 08/
A WEEK AGO, the vast majority of Americans could not identify Governor Palin by name, face, gender or state. Today, when I think of a Republican I picture a Democrat and then take away all reason and accountability. And that’s “As good As It Gets!”
Yes, ma'am! You said it just right Senator Clinton!

The republicans have spewed nothing but acid at Senator Obama and Senator Biden in their convention.
Mccain has no one but himself to blame for the corrosion of his campaign.
The next President of the United States is wrapping up his speech.

YES WE KNOW THE WAY, YES WE KNOW THE HOW, YES TO JOHN McCAIN
You Go Hillary! Sock it to 'em!
We need you, Secretary of State or other cabinet post Clinton!
thank you Hilary for finally speaking out!!!!!
{PALIN IS NO HILARY CLINTON

OBAMALBIDEN 08
Sarah Palin is no Hillary Clinton!

She is a bridge to nowhere.
You go, girl!

Glad to have you on board!
You go girl! I will always admire you and I am part of the sisterhood of the traveling pants. Thanks for doing an excellent job in New York as a senator. Hope to hear that you become the governor or a higher position than that. Who would think that it took a female from Illinois to arrive in New York and fix the problems. Contrary to our beloved (NOT) Giuliani who just spends his time bashing Obama and the democrates.
I hope Hilary get's off her ass now. I just watched McCain's speech and it was good. No specifics but good. Dems need to get out there and show how McCain and Bush are one in the same.
thanks...
Sarah Palin is no Hillary!!!
You go Hillary!!! Palin has to put on her "big girl chonies" now.

Obama/Biden 08
You want to get around the sexism jab, make Hillary's first job showing Palin what being a bulldog is really all about. Palin isn't fit to tie Hillary's shoes.
WAY-TO-GO-HILLARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I....AND I AM SURE MILLIONS OTHER AGREE!!!!!!!!!BE BLESSED AND WE STILL LOVE YOU HILLARY!
Hooray for Hilary! She nailed it. McCain/Palin are the least bit interested in the well being of our society progressing. Keep us in the dark ages?... I think not!! Maybe, if you enjoy a good puppet show...but then how'd the last one go? Yeah? I thought so. GO OBAMA GO!!!!!
And further, I find it odd that the Democrats attract women and minorities in such great numbers when it is the Republicans that have been responsible for much of the civil rights progress (from Lincoln to the 60's and beyond) and have placed more women in high places such as the Supreme Court, the UN, Sec. of State, etc. In fact, I actually think the policies of the Democrats hold people down. And what about Robert Byrd??!! A grand wizard of the KKK who has not gotten the same treatment as David Duke. He should. Both should be shunned. But why isn't he?? And why do minorities still flock to the Democrats? Do they like the short term fixes and pandering that are offered?? If they want long term solutions, vote Republican (even though they totally sucked when in power this last go around - just not as bad as the Democrats have and will).
Thank You, Hillary ........ you go girl ...... truth to corrupt power. I am a strong Obama/Biden supporter but have come to love Hillary since she has started standing up for the middle class.
Hillary, I did not support your candidacy, but you certainly provide a good example by which to measure Palin, and she doesn't even come close. People are making comparisons between the two of you, but it's like trying to compare a Ferrari to a Hyundai.
Bravo Hillary! Although I was not a supporter, I am a fan of personal redemption. Besides, I can't stand to let her steal thunder without doing the work you did!
thank you Senator Clinton! Your continued support is enlightening and makes women over 50 proud.
Thank You, Hillary ........ you go girl ...... truth to corrupt power. I am a strong Obama/Biden supporter but have come to love Hillary since she has started standing up for the middle class.
I imagine Hillary has seen the video of Sarah saying she (Hillary) needed to stop whining because it made it harder on the rest of the women running for office. Don't imagine THAT set well with her, especially since the GOP thinks they can snag the Hillary supporters from Barack by making Palin their VP pick. It won't work for the most part because Hillary's true supporters will vote the ticket that best follows her political views/values and that is the Barack/Biden ticket. When you are loyal to someone, you can do nothing but honor them. Go get em Hill.
I Love you Hillary. It's time to kick them basters out on there head and Sen.Obama will pick Hillary to be AG to go after those clowns and throw them under the jail....
This convention only reflected what I always thought about the republicans. In this new global environment, they are simply out of touch with this world and how it works.

Sarah Palin is even more of an empty suit than John McCain.
The republican party as a whole is a joke. Anyone who votes this ticket, deserves exactly what they are going to get:

War, war, and more war

More corporate controlled government where bills and laws are past for their benefit and not for the best interest of the the tax-paying citizens.

More lies, deceit, and cover-ups, especially with the corporate controlled media.

The rich get richer at the expense of everyone else.

The economy will continue to suffer.

No health care reform

Tampering with Social Security, etc.

This country will continue to be despised around the globe.

But the hockey-mom and the senile-senior will be giddy with their new found power.

I now wholeheartedly support HRC. Glad to see her sticking by Obama.
Thank You HILLARY for coming out with the truth which is what us Democrats have been sounding off about since Palin's speech last night, and I'm sure McSain McCain had the same to sorry rhetoric tonight, but I've stomached enough from the republicans this week that I can take and I had to take a pass on McCain's speech tonight.
Exactly! Thank you Hillary!
Thats right hillary, shove the mess in Palin's face. She stood on the stage after McCain speech in all the balloons and glitter, thought she was in the miss america paegent again! What a Joke!! More like a World Class Joke!! Yea, we can certainly say that we are on the worlds radar now!!!
You were not listening. We do not need higher taxes to fix the economy...we need tax relief. Obama WILL raise taxes..plain and simple. I just can not do that..forget the programs provide taxpayer relief!
Obama is Still Winning

Obama 297, McCain 241

He has a lock on Iowa now after the most recent poll by CNN.
