From NBC/NJ's Matthew Berger
STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. -- The McCain campaign is bringing two Bush administration communication veterans on board to beef up the team that will travel with Palin.

Tucker Eskew has joined the Palin team as a senior advisor, and campaign officials said he will play a role akin to chief of staff. Eskew served as director of the White House Office of Global Communications and as director of media affairs.

The campaign also confirmed Friday that Tracey Schmitt is joining as deputy communications director and national spokesperson. She is a former Republican National Committee spokesperson.

Ooooh, look, more BUSH.  If McCain/Palin want to show that they are different from Bush - shouldn't they stop using his people to run their campaign?  DUH!
Is there any doubt that McCain's little Chihuahua is just like Bush too? No way, No How, No McCain, No Palin.
If Palin is ready to be VP, why does she need tutoring from Lieberman? extra spokespersons? Why is she being kept from the media's scrutiny? Why is she the only one not giving interviews tomorrow?

This coddling by the McCain campaign smacks of sexist treatment to me! UGH!

Talk about being an agent of change when you bring onboard two of Bush advisors to join your team. McCain/Palin, you can't pretend to be an agent of change when you walked side by side with Bush and supported him over 90% of the time during the last eight years. I'm sorry...you have had your chance and you screwed it up. Now it's time for a real change in Obama/Biden. People will not be fooled this time around!
What happened to this so called change? Now he hires Bush allies to aid her. Give me a break.
Is this the Change that Senator McCain and Governor Palin promise they will bring to Washington?  Hiring President Bush's men??
That's not the change I'm willing to risk!
Change?
Same people...Same failed Policies.
"The McCain campaign is bringing two Bush administration communication veterans on board to beef up the team that will travel with Palin."

HOW ON EARTH does the McCain/Palin campaign surround itself with Bush administration advisers 24/7 and then have the gall to say they "stand for change, too."  Every single aspect of a McCain/Palin administration would be influenced by the "outgoing" Bush administration- from finance to foreign policy to communications.  Why does McCain insist on continuing with a group that is leaving with an approval rating in the 20s?

Oh, yeah- because he has no choice.  You usually don't when you sell out.  Maverick, indeed.
Never ceases to amaze me how many voters don't see through the GOP's rebranding and repackaging of the same product they've been selling for over a decade.
Slowly, but surely, more negative truths are trickling through the conservative media about Sarah's background. She is nothing like Rove intended her to turn out to be. She needs to be vetted seriously and deeply by the press and that should begin as soon as possible!
where`s the change if the same people that`s been runing washington are the ones running the Mcain camp, How is that change.
Is George W. Bush running again?  Why are some many Bush operatives joining the campaign?  Could it be that this will be Bush's third term???  :)
So.........
Yes McCain and Palin are real reformers.........Geez
Agents of Change?

Brings on former Bush advisors?

The only change we see is a woman as VP . . . she looks nice, talks well, but it's the same old right-wing agenda.

The Same Old tactics with a different look . . . I don't think the American People will be fooled!

PS: When is McCain going to stop holding Palin's hand?

When is she going to stop using a script?

When is she going to campaign by herself?

When is she going to take on the Press?

When is she going to talk to the American People one-on-one?
BUSH IN SHEEP CLOTHING!!!!
You can fool some people some of the time but you cannot fool everyone all the time. We knew it was just a matter of time the McCain campaign would have to peel off its façade and America would see G W Bush staring at us. They are as far removed from his policies and him as the right side of their mouths to the left side. When they stand up in front of the cameras and declare Washington is broken they are speaking from the left side, and when they go behind the podium for props, policy briefing, campaign funding and procedures they use the right side. America is so tired of these horrible eight years we cannot afford another four years of GWB. All they have to offer is more of the same. NO THANK YOU!
