Palin takes shot at Biden as 'change'

At a McCain-Palin rally today in Colorado Springs, Colo., Palin took a shot at Biden as not being an agent of change.

"You know that choices presidential nominees make for a running mate say a lot about them," Palin said. "And when our opponent made his choice, he went for a fine man, a decent man. Sen. Biden can claim many chairmanships across many many years in Washington, and certainly many friends in the Washinton establishment. But even those admirers would not be able to call him agent of change."

Biden was first elected to Congress 36 years ago. But, of course, John McCain -- at the top of the GOP ticket -- was first elected to Congress in 1983 -- 25 years ago.

Do John McCain and the GOP condone premarital sex for minor children?
There is something sadly lacking in the message that the GOP is sending to
the “Country First” on this issue.

Saying, while I was “Country First” my family came second our third or just got out of the loop.

I'm not blaming the children...that's why they are called children...
There is something lacking in the core at home believes under pinging within the Palin family.
A leader of a State government that can't manage her family by setting the examples of
love and security to all the other children within that state or the nation..?

Are we to believe that cheapening the respect for our body as God's temple and faithfully

What's next if we don't have our children respect them selves?..Is it drugs or alcohol or loosened secular defiance that will prevail?
Is there a lack of judgment and control within the Palin family or is it just plain not paying attention to the messages our kids send to us as parents...
If Sarah and her husband can't parent the children to respect their bodies for God, how
can that impression be given to the children and young people of our “Country First”?

Send a strong and respectful message to the GOP and John McCain...

The republican party have no ideals of their own. But yet they continue to bash Obama.

If you watched the RNC convention. You should have notice, they took (STOLE) all of Baracks ideals and
talking points. They implemented (STOLE) everything from the DNC convention with a twist and turn, but still could not top the DNC. American, please DO NOT be fooled by the RNC Karl Rove tactic. This race is about our children's future and American.

McCain offer up no real solutions to the American people, yet riding on the coat-tail of Barack Obama. They say Barack can't lead, but McCain is study following Barracks lead. Q: WHO IS THE LEADER? McCain played on the sympathy vote. Though McCain's service is commendable. We were flooded with the POW story every single night.

McCain even went so far as to say in his speech. It doesn't matter who
came up with the ideal (CHANGE).

What he was say in this statement was I STOLE your message of change, and you can't do anything about it.

Here we have the out and out right lying republicans. That introduce the american people to an unknown Gov. Palin, which is under all kinds of investigation. They don't want the media to interview her. Why? Because they are running out of campaign funds and want to use the media as free advertisement. How the media is fallen for this garbage is beyond me.

The media should vet Gov. Palin, just as they did with every other candidate. As she had the nerve to challage the media. Who do she thing she is? We need to know what make her so different. They hound the heck out of Barack Obama for over 18 mos. She is running for the 2nd highest office in the nation and the American people have every right to know who she is and want make her tick and her views on all the issue.

With that said, I don't know how so many people who claim to be so educationed can buy into this garbage that the republicans are trying to sale.

The media should dig into her back ground hard and heavy and should not drag their feet. They owe it to the American people. I do agree her children have nothing to do with the issue.

My question to you the American people. When you have a chance to choose an original. Are you going to pick the copy? I don't think SO. NOT THIS TIME.

I think when this article was posted, the title was accidentally truncated.. it should read: "PALIN TAKES SHOT AT BIDEN AS 'CHANGE'? SERIOUSLY?"

I can't believe they're actually going to pursue this line of attack. The Republicans are the ones who have controlled the direction of the federal government for the past 8 years. Sure the Democrats have a majority in both houses of congress, but the majorities aren't veto-proof, so Bush and his filibuster-prone associates in the Senate are still very much controlling the agenda.

I hope that the media is relentless in the call to make Palin agree to a full hour on Meet The Press or a similar show. It's an embarrassment that they're planning on sequestering her Cheney-style and just hoping to ride the wave of popularity built on lack of knowledge about her. I am reminded of some of the coverage of Tim Russert after his passing where he was said to pressure any serious candidates into coming onto MTP as almost their duty to the electorate. Hopefully there's someone at NBC who's taken up that role in his absence.

Yes Sarah, the choices a presidential nominee makes for a running mate DO say a lot about them. In Obama's case, he picked someone who we can all trust, who has well-established relationships with leaders around the world, with strong military credentials, who clearly can step into the Presidency if needed without missing a beat.
John McCain, on the other hand, picked someone who said they'll need to be told what the VP does, and who can't be allowed to answer questions from the media because they are not ready for even that, much less be a heartbeat away from the presidency. McCain only picked you because he (actually the Rove gang, not McCain) thought you could help him win the election, not at all because you are ready to lead. So keep reading your cue cards and teleprompter, and then in November you can go back to leading the moose.

With all of her baggage, I can't believe that McCain would insult American women and women in his own party by holding Palin up as a so-called reformer and Hillary alternative. As a mother of 3, I am insulted that they would so blatantly underestimate the intelligence of women and mothers in this way. This from a man who was #894 out of his class of 899 at Annapolis.

With the current bi-partisan investigation into TrooperGate, Palin's dogged pursuit (and acceptance) of millions of $'s of earmarks as Mayor of Wasilla, her lies regarding the Bridge to Nowhere that she initially supported and based her gubernatorial campaign upon, the fact that she did not sell the luxury plane on eBay and actually sold it through a broker to a campaign contributor for a $600,000 loss to the state of Alaska, her membership in an organization whose mission it is to have Alaska secede from the union, her belonging to a 527 group supporting Ted Stevens, her statement that the Iraq war is a mission from God, etc, is this really the best that the Republican party has to offer and their idea of a 'reformer'?

And notice that there was plenty to list above without having to go into her numerous personal issues as well.

America, please prove to the rest of the world that, despite the elections of 2000 and 2004, our country's collective IQ is equivalent to more than a box of rocks.

She looks straight in the camera and peals out the lies to the applause of Repubs who were so thirsty and desperate for some spark to their campaign that it is ‘any port for a storm’

We are in the 21st century where we want to hear about issues and what their ticket will bring to the table. How will their policies affect my family and me. Bread and butter issues. Instead her coming out is loaded with swift boating, and tearing down an opponent who went out on a limb to ask the media to back off her private life, which happens to be in a mess. Had she come with issues to juxtapose what Obama is proposing I would not have had a problem with it or her and she would have had my respect. However the image she is portraying is a character I would not want to see in any position of leadership in Washington. If they behave that way in Alaska she should stay there. Her attitude, remarks, and lack of substance leave much to be desired.

Let's see, we've got a journalism major who took 6 years to graduate from 4 different schools (or was it 5?), has no foreign policy experience, supports abstainence only education but has an unmarried daughter who gets pregnant, supports no earmarks but was feeding at the trough, and fights corruption but doesn't see anything wrong with using her office to fire her ex-brother-law. Yes, Palin says a lot about John McCain.
