Palin takes shot at Biden as 'change'

From NBC's Cherelle Kantey
At a McCain-Palin rally today in Colorado Springs, Colo., Palin took a shot at Biden as not being an agent of change.

"You know that choices presidential nominees make for a running mate say a lot about them," Palin said. "And when our opponent made his choice, he went for a fine man, a decent man. Sen. Biden can claim many chairmanships across many many years in Washington, and certainly many friends in the Washinton establishment. But even those admirers would not be able to call him agent of change."

Biden was first elected to Congress 36 years ago. But, of course, John McCain -- at the top of the GOP ticket -- was first elected to Congress in 1983 -- 25 years ago.

Is this the Change that Senator McCain and Governor Palin promise they will bring to Washington?  Hiring President Bush's men??
That's not the change I'm willing to risk!
Your right Gov. Palin, who a nominee picks to be his running mate does say alot about them.  In the case of John McCain it says that he thinks so little of women that he expects to win their votes simply by putting some estrogen on his ticket.
A couple of weeks ago I read in the Washington Post that Biden's son headed a Washington PAC and was paid about $1.7 Million. In 2006 when Biden decided he would make a run for the nomination he had his brother find his son a new job as the President of a hedge fund that then went broke, because his son had no experince as a fund manager. There is a law suit going on now over this. I can only imagine that the reason he was paid a lot to run the PAC was because of his influence with his father who was in the senate. Biden seems like an insider, not an agent for change.
Obama and Biden should probably ignore her. It's obvious she has nothing original to offer.
Palin's attacks might resonate more if they weren't done in drive-by fashion.

Perhaps, if Gov. Palin actually demonstrated to the American people-VIA SIT-DOWN INTERVIEW- why she thinks is qualified to hold the second most powerful position in our nation, her approach wouldn't seem so...cowardly.
Joe Biden's been slugin' it out in the Senate longer than Gov.Palin knew her self..all she did was perfect the cheer leader style and call herself a Republican...that's what I call a Yuppie...
Who is pulling Palin's strings.....Karl Rove?
This is a poor argument for Palin to make. Especially when McCain's record shows him voting with Bush over 90% of the time. Like McCain, Palin is out of touch with American voters. It's a little late for them to be stealing Obama's mantle of "change", isn't it? What happened to the "experience" slogan? That argument, along with the "judgment" one, went out the window when McCain picked Palin, who is clearly not ready to step into the President's shoes. At 72, McCain is likely to have health issues.  I'm so offended that he didn't pick a woman who commands respect due to established positions on issues and knowledge of foreign affairs. He again shows his lack of respect for women.  I hope enough women will see through this gimmicky choice and vote for the candidates who understand the issues fully--and thus, will be able to bring about needed changes.

Obama/Biden '08!
Up is down.
Down is up.
East is west.
West is east.

Republican = reality, logic & truth don't matter.

Smile & distort! The republican way.
If Sarah Palin can bring down a moose then Joe Biden should not pose a problem for her.
Why does Palin have to take a shot at everything that the Dems do?  She should be telling what the Repubs are going to do about the economy.  This is going to get boring soon.
She's right, it does say a lot about who you choose as your running mate.

McCain showed that he is reckless and willing to cave into the far right base just to get elected.  Country first, yeah, we are all buying that one.
keep saying your zingers while hiding behind your advisors who say that you can only talk when for the benefit of the campaign.  great way to instill trust and belief in the person.

seems like her own handlers can' trust her to speak when they can't control the line of questioning.  are they being sexist?  seems to me that they could be saying because she is a woman we know we have to protect her from the media that has been needling into male candidates for 19 months...

2 sides to every coin.

And then again, how can a person who has wanted to ban books, left her city in debt, and is involved in a corruption investigation in Alaska call herself an agent of change?  Just asking.
