McCain hits Obama on defense, 'bitter'

Posted: Monday, September 08, 2008 2:32 PM by Domenico Montanaro

From NBC/NJ’s Adam Aigner-Treworgy
LEE'S SUMMIT, Mo. -- For months McCain has been accusing Obama of blind allegiance to the Democratic Party, but today he said that his opponent's failure to buck his party could be dangerous when it comes to defense spending.

"This weekend Sen. Obama was asked for an example of a time when he bucked his party," McCain said. "His answer was defense spending. He says now he wants to increase it, but during the primary he told a liberal advocacy group that he'd cut defense spending by tens of billions of dollars. And he promised them he would quote 'slow our development of future combat systems.'"

McCain added that recently America has realized that "this is an even more dangerous world than we had thought" and that this is not a time to "slow our development of future combat systems."

"This is not that time," McCain said. "And that's not bucking his party, that's telling them just what they want to hear."

Catering to the Left is "wrong for America," McCain said, and Obama's "wrong for America." But continuing in his campaign's tradition of comparing McCain's running mate to Obama rather than McCain himself, the GOP nominee concluded, "This governor is right for America. Sarah Palin is right for America."

Traveling with the GOP ticket today was also Palin's husband Todd. After introducing Todd Palin and calling him a "wonderful father," McCain made an obtuse reference to Obama's controversial comments about bitterness in small-town America by saying that his ticket would bring the Palins' values back to Washington.

"Americans, wherever they are, aren't like Sen. Obama said in small towns in Pennsylvania that only cherish their Second Amendment rights and their religion because they don't like the economic conditions," McCain said. "Americans in Missouri, Pennsylvania and all over this country value those rights because they love America, because they love America."

You know this man and his rantings are irritating!  And what's more.. the weak minded among us believes him.  He is allowed to say stupid things, unsubstantiated lies and distort the truth, yet people believe him.  How pathetic some of us are!  I would love to debate him.  He is obviously embolden by the press and those sick'o's.  Pathetic, pathetic pathetic!!!
What has this world come to???
Ok - enough of the McCain and Pailin hits Obama.  As if when they make a hit - it is true.  How about the hit Biden made on McCain and Pallin's economic policies and how they are no different than Bush.  How about - Hillary hitting on the McCain and Pallin ticket.  Letting Americans know they are no different than Bush.
Hey First Read---Hillary and Joe Biden are kickin' butt today---why aren't you covering it?
And what about Sarah's gaffe today about Freddie Mac
and Fannie Mae?
Why is all I am reading on first read the past few days all about what McCain is saying.  Why not what Obama is saying, like PALIN IS A LIAR AND YOU NEED TO DO YOUR JOBS AND CALL HER ON IT.
I am bitter!!! Bitter that I cant hold onto my home while you have 8 or more and lets not forget I am bitter everytime I gas up!!!.....My friend you are out of touch!!!!

Corporate-owned MSNBC is really playing to you low informed/information voters.  The rest of us know the game they're playing.

WAKE UP EVERYBODY!!!

OBAMA/BIDEN, 2008!
Tell me who was in the White House when 9/11 happened? Which Party had MAJORITY in the House and Senate? How they protected us from attack? hey started to be brave and heroes when towers were already down....Now they want to play fear card once again and proclaim only they can protect us...why they didn't protect us in 9/11???
And if you don't know answers then I can help...Republican Party was fully in charge...Republican president was sitting in the White House....so are really Democrats weak on national security???? Agencies for National security works for any party or government which means it doesn't matter how long president was in the White House. It was just big total collapse under Republicans.
How about some policy positions and clear solutions to the myriad problems facing this country.  I've made some mistakes and done some things I'm ashamed of but being a McCain County Co-Chair in 2000 may be at the top of the list, but, in fairness to myself, that was when McCain was a real "maverick" and not an ersats one.

Steve Schmidt, the "Karl Rove of 2008", has given us a rerun of 2000 and 2004.  We got the ultimate "kick in the groin" when Mc Cain caved in and choice "Chick Cheney" Palin as his running mate.  Heck with her experience she couldn even run suburban Montgomery County PA that has more people than Philadelphia.

"How dumb is too dumb?"  We'll find out shortly.
So Mccain picks a snake waving, heretic, armaggedon screaming running mate. Makes sense when he could have had Liberman or Romney. I think Cindy had better watch out!!!! A spells a brewing
I am a proud Barak supporter and here is why:

He is taking away money from the Rich and give to the Poor. We are all equal and we all shall live the same life, and that’s what Barak and his supporters are proud off. Loosing jobs while taxing small companies is nothing but media‘s crap.

He is giving health care to everybody and the trillion of dollars will come from the Riches pockets as well. What’s wrong if EVERYBODY will have to stay in line for a day to reach a doctor, as long as everybody in this country gets the same share? Calling this Socialism is media’s crap as well.

Finally black people in this country came to power. Let us prove what we can do to lead this country for the first time in history. It’s our turn and we can make the true CHANGE.

Thank you MEDIA for helping us changing the country in the right direction. Together we will make history.
