Obama camp: Ad perverse, dishonorable

From NBC's Mark Murray
Obama spokesman Bill Burton released this statement regarding the McCain camp's sex-ed TV ad: “It is shameful and downright perverse for the McCain campaign to use a bill that was written to protect young children from sexual predators as a recycled and discredited  political attack against a father of two young girls -- a position that his friend Mitt Romney also holds. Last week, John McCain told Time magazine he couldn’t define what honor was. Now we know why."

I think I saw this simular line in a previous post:
Unamerican, Uncouth, Uninformed, Unpatriotic, Unnecessary, UNEDUCATED,Un called for,  and last, but pathetically least-----Unsurprising
It's more of the same from the Palin/McCain ticket. We can't win on the issues so make the election about something else. Unfortunately there is a large voting block of stupid Americans who belive this crap.
John McCain has no honor.  That ad is the most disgusting thing I ever saw in a presdiential campaign.  He is unfit to be president.
McCain should be ashamed of himself. Everybody knows that this add is bogus. I have lost all respect for the man, he is a horrible human being. He is no better than a sexual predator in my eyes. He is using our children for his own political gain. If McCain actually wins this election it will be because we as a country couldn’t rise above our racist views. The world will be laughing at us should he win, and they will have every right too. They will say that American's could see that their ship was sinking, but they still wouldn’t take the hand of the brother that was offering to save them. All because of the color of his skin. It’s a shame. We as American's should be better than that. McCain and the Republican Party are preying on our fears. They are banking on us being racist. I hope that McCain doesn’t win. I hope that we as Americans show the world that we are better than that.
The McCain people never let facts get in their way.  Perhaps if Palin had spent more time with her daughter explaining birth control the daughter wouldn't be pregnant now.

Oh yes, I forgot,  Palin is FOR teen pregnancy.

See without much practice anyone can spin the truth like the Republicans do.
John Mc Cain:

You are an old man that must deal with his maker. Do you sleep at night??

***********************************************

By now its been reinforced that the Republican party and John McCain cannot be trusted, are liars and will do ANYTHING to get elected.

John McCain has taken the lowest of his own traits and attributed them to Barack Obama. He knows himself well and therefore can attribute these traits knowingly. He only cares about himself and his ambition. And choosing Sarah Palin as his running mate only shows how dishonest and cynical he is.

The fact that McCain has to go to these lengths only tells you how desparate he knows he is.

Barack Obama is the most intelligent and sincere politician that we have had on our landscape for years. He will make a difference. His displays a deep understanding and love for this country that is unparalleled.

We cannot let the McCain campaign win this election. The Polls are close. The lies are vast. And many times folks do not do their research and find the truth. This year we must be vigilant and not let ourselves be corrupted by McCain, Palin and their viewpoints.
Well folks, they've cast the first stone--now the underage unwed pregnant Palin girl is officially in limits.  Gee John and Sara, tell us again how that abstinance only policy is working for ya----I know Obama is above this, but us regular folk are ready to step right down into the running sewer and go for the carrion-----dudes,who's with me?
This is very sick. I think it is time for people to take a real good look at McCain this is more then overboard. I am appalled. The rights of our children should be protected and this ad clearly exploites our children and the character of Obama. What would a child 9 years and older thought if the ran across this ad by mistake. I call this a criminal act. Senator Barack is a honorable and respectable men and does not deserve this. If McCain gets in the White House this will be the type of things going on. No progress will be made. I was afaird of McCain after I heard the comment about Chelsea Clinton and then how he introduced his wife to the motorcyle group but this goes way beyound sexiest. Please protect our children from this men. It is also a racist play assuming that Barack being Black may be a threat to our children. McCain has went way to far. I am going to email this to everyone that I know.
Mccain has no honor.
A respectful bill that protects our children
has been turned into gutter talk by this
simpleton. He will stoop to anything to try and
get elected.
When is ENOUGH, ENOUGH!!

Obots that take issue with Sarah Palin's daughter's pregnancy need to remember that Obama was born in August, when his mother was 18. At age 17, Stanley Ann too was pregnant.

Whoa, what kind of twisted person could even be able to think up a lie like this? This tells me a lot more about McCain than it does about Obama.

I'm embarrassed to say I used to think McCain had a bit of dignity or decency, even though I didn't agree with most of his views.

Turns out he's just another dirty old man in a raincoat. I wouldn't let him anywhere near my kids.
McDishonor. Shame. Shame. Shame. It is sad to see an American hero sink so low, all in the name of grabbing at power. This man has no honor.  I am ashamed of him. A county that elects him turns its back on greatness.
Every night, I get down on my knees and pray to the Almighty God that the ugly Republican slime machine will fail this time.  I was going to vote for McCain/Palin, but this sort of nauseating garbage is just too much.  It's Obama/Biden, who are conducting themselves with honor.
If America elects the Palin/Mccain bunch, we deserve what we get.  This is getting more pathetic by the day.

Polls;  I have never been polled...do they call cell phone users?

Its time to move this country in a new direction.  Obama/Biden 08
This is the real McCain..

When you turn on the news, every station talks about how unqualified Palin is for VP, compared to Obama as the President of America. I can’t see how people can even vote for Barak Obama with his lack of credentials. As soon as he is elected he gets his wife a 160% pay raise and a million dollar taxpayers earmark where she works. Obama couldn’t wait to be corrupt, and as president it scares me that he might win. America wake up!!!

The Republican base has the mentality of never been past the 5th grade. They will believe this BS. John Mcain has no honor, he only believes in God when it benifits him.  Thou shout not bear false witness. I know I do not want a lier for president. He has not acomplished anything worthwhile in congress in 26 years. Yes he has been blessed with that siver spoon, if Daddy wasn,t an Admiral, he would still be a drunk and wife beater. Lowlife scum is his true nature.
John McCain takes the cake, as the most pathetic figure in American political history - and you have to go some to win that prize. To have come from the place of honor that he held in 2002 to this point; where he's no longer even in charge of his own campaign, where he's sold his dignity for the nomination, where his name is pasted on the most indecent and disgusting campaign tactics - it's like watching a slow motion train wreck.
Smoke and Mirrors folks....all designed to distract the voting public from the fact that McCain/Palin will be 4 more years of Bush
Oh, they wish! Kossacks’ heads are exploding right now. They were so confident Obama would convince those bitter snake handlers to vote for him. He is, after all, THE ONE. He talks about his sainted mother and milks the Jesus storyline. Then Sarah Palin turns out to be a real mother and a compassionate and faithful Christian.

Clearly Obama's primary concern is to protect your children from sexual predators.

McCain needs to explain to the American people why he is against protecting children from sex predators.

Shame on John McCain. He has no HONOR!
I hope the press would pursue this story with the same intensity they pursue Rev Wrigth's story.
Senator Lieberman way to go.
When is the McCain-Palin camp going to talk about issues that deal with "we the people".
Wow!  John McCain, I have no respect for you.  You have applied for the highest ranking position in the USA and this is how you represent yourself?

With tactics like these, especially after pledging to have an "honorable" campaign, my biggest question, is WHY does this continue to work with many Americans?  I am personally SO sick and tired of fear mongering, hate comments and digs and having the low info voter decide the fates for the rest of us because they get sucked into the emotion vs the realities.  Come on people....let's grow up and rise above this crap.  I'd say you deserve what you get (all you Bush voters who are now seeing how wrong a direction he's taken us) but you make all the rest of us suffer right along with you.  Don't do it again.  We can't afford 4 more years.  Speaking of affording.....all of you who are sick of this garbage, put your money where your mouth is and donate to Obama to put an end to it all.  I'm donating yet again as he's falling behind donation projections and I can't take another 4 more years of Republican crap.
With lies, deceit and treachery, neither McCain or Palin are fit to serve. He is turning into a public EMBARRASSMENT! Insular McCain the Maverick will drive what's left of his cattle herd over a cliff!
We can forgive John McCain for 2 reasons,

1:  He was a POW

2:  He chose Sarah Palin, since she is like us in the heartland we will support her no matter what.
to "sotiredofignorance": Right on!
Over the last week or so, something happened. During and after the Republican National Convention the McCain campaign has deliriously decided that they are the change ticket. McCain is campaigning as an independent, and someone who has battled even his own party (never mind that little bit about voting with President Bush 90% of the time). Sarah Palin is campaigning as someone who has always been against pork barrel spending despite having campaigned for the Bridge to Nowhere in order to get elected as the governor of Alaska. They are claiming they are the mavericks, and the change agents. I just want to know…

Do you think we are that mindless?

McBush as the change agent? Give me a break. I see right through these deceptive tactics. The fact is, McCain has flip flopped and spun his campaign every which way possible in the past few months. First he was touting his support of Bush, now he is touting his taking the fight to his own party. He was slamming Obama for his lack of experience, and then selected a completely inexperienced running mate. He was criticizing Obama for running as a change agent with no plans, and has now decided that his ticket is the ticket of change and failed to present any real policy plans during the convention. He is claiming he represents change, and he picked a hard line conservative that agrees with Bush more than he does.

McBush is succeeding in convoluting this election to the point where the issues simply cannot compete with the idiocy spewing forth. I am baffled by the republicans approach, but I suppose this is where experience comes in. McCain is experienced at running an old politics as usual campaign. This leaves us all concerned with who can sling more mud, and less concerned with who will actually be better for our country.

Obama keeps using the line: McCain just doesn’t get it. The more I hear and see and read about McCain and his campaign, the more I feel that this is very true.

McCain really does not get it.

I hope America will see through these deceptive campaign strategies, and start demanding more from its presidential candidates.

Hmmm....no clue what ad you're all discussing. Could
someone please give me a synopsis?  Is it a T.V.
ad for print ad?
This ad is absolutely disgusting.  McCain's campaign needs to apologize for this one now.
His response is just one more example of why Obama is unfit to be president, although, as a father, you would have thought he would have done more research.
I joined a group that successfully thwarted JUST SUCH an 'education' program.  The graphic nature of it would turn your stomach.  These were children whose innocence would have been stripped away.  Senator Obama undoubtedly had NO IDEA what was in this program, but thought it sounded good, much in the same way he advocated that the Georgia matter be sent to the U.N., without realizing that Russia had a veto.

I am an educator, and a mother of three, and NOT a religious nut.  My own pediatrician told me that the materials in this program were inappropriate for children under 10 or 11; in fact, it MIGHT even be considered contributing to over-sexualizing a child.

The point here is that if Senator Obama's five year old were subject to this, he would have been outraged; subjecting anonymous children to this seemed politically correct.  We can't afford this.  He is dangerously uninformed on many topics.

in 6 elections ,i have never voted for a republican or a democrat. i am independent and only voted for 3rd party candidates. this year is different, tho. i saw a black man get up on the stage at the democratic convention and, caught a part of his speech that sent chills up my spine at the conviction, with which he spoke. it was a short line. simple. yet, it reminded me of being a kid in grade school, and 'actually' believing that the united states was truly just that .UNITED. he spoke similar words at this year's convention, and i got an even bigger 'chill'. it brought tears to my eyes. understand, i'm a 44 year-old white guy, from arkansas.[not your typical obama supporter] .
2004 speech- "there are no red states. there are no blue states. this is the UNITED STATES.
2008 speech- "democrats and republicans ,and independents, have all fought together on the same battlefields. they all bled together and some died, under the same proud flag."
this is our one chance, america, to make things right, after a long period of divisiveness. this man is a UNITER! he has been honorable and consistent. he has stayed above the tactics of the past. he has offered all of us something to bring us together, and so many are blinded by petty differences, i fear we may miss our best chance at fulfilling the promise of our nation. we used to have big ideas. now we have divisive ideology.
