Expect more joint McCain-Palin rallies

From NBC/NJ's Matthew E. Berger
ABOARD PALIN CAMPAIGN PLANE -- The McCain campaign is "very seriously considering" having McCain and Palin campaign together more often than not in the next two months, a senior campaign aide said, adding it could be the most a presidential and vice presidential candidate campaign in tandem in recent history.

The aide said the two have developed a strong chemistry together and will likely utilize it through joint rallies. He likened it to the chemistry Bill Clinton and Al Gore had in 1992, suggesting it was instinctive.

"Sometimes these vice presidential selections, the pairings, work in a magical way," the aide told reporters on the Palin campaign plane, on condition of anonymity. The plane is en route to Fairbanks, AK, where Palin will see her eldest son off to military service.

The aide said there has been increased enthusiasm for the campaign as well, and the pair has been able to connect on energy and economic issues, as well as change. "And we like the images," he said.

"There's just a huge amount of enthusiasm," he said. "It clicks."

mccant is AFRAID to campaign alone he knows he wont draw any crowds.
They do not have chemistry.... He NEEDS her... this despite her repeating lies, having no ability to handle the job and her extremist views.

Not to mention McBoring can't draw a crowd of 50 without here at his side!

Yeah, you can tell it is instinctive.

Has everyone noticed that Sen. McCain cannot campaign on his own.  He depends on "friends" and "handlers" -- it used to be Sen. Liebermann, Sen. Lindsey Graham and Dr. Phil Gramm (the now-discredited economist) who were at his side, whispered in his ear and turned him the right way.  Sen. McCain desperately wanted to travel with Sen. Obama to town hall meetings, and has remained bitter that Sen. Obama declined.  Now it's Gov. Palin -- it would appear that Sen. McCain just can't handle it on his own...maybe he has a hearing problem, maybe he needs other people to show him the way, maybe he is a very lonely person.  In any event, we need a president who can stand on his own and face the music on his own. This is also a way of keeping Gov. Palin at hand, to refute her "misstatements" and keep her from going off on tangents that might be harmful to McCain's candidacy.  Normally, two people campaigning independently would bring twice as much attention to the party and cover twice as much ground.
Gee, they'll have to come up with a couple more speeches, huh?

I suggest a contest.

The first person to report McCain or Palin actually presenting a CONCRETE PLAN....NOT PLATITUDES....ON THE ECONOMY OR THE WAR wins a Sarah Palin doll!!!

I have not heard ONE plan...not ONE.

I'm so disgusted.
Why is this news? Where is the real news on employments, fannie and freddie and tanking DOW?
Let's just call a pig, a pig.  They HAVE to campaign together because they have nothing apart. No substance, no issues, just hugs and kisses.
Should we be surprised? Who would want to go to a solo McCain campaign event? What an annoying borefest!
In other words, they are afraid to leave her alone.
I guess if you're a republican, acting like celebrities is okay. I guess if you're a republican it's alright to stop talking about the economy or education, or the war or health care.

I used to think of myself as another independent but McCain's sleaze machine has turned me staunchly partisan and firmly democrat. I now volunteer for Obama/Biden. I never thought I would do something like this, but I just can't suffer the sickening sleazoid tactics McCain and Palin and the rest of their lot offer up.
Amazing what happens when you pick the right VP candidate. Obama, way up in the polls, picks an old and washed up Washington insider for VP. McCain, down in the polls, picks the perfect Washington outsider. Results - Obama tanks, McCain flys. Lovin it!!
Everybody is bored with Obama. There's only so much whining and crying you can listen to from that guy. Palin though is the real deal!!
You didn't think they were going to let her campaign on her own did you?  Apparently her cram sessions aren't going so well -- if they were she'd be able to face the voters and the media on her own.
He wont let her campaign on her own because then she has to answer media questions & for McCain that is off limits. Klondike Sarah cant handle the truth!
What a smokescreen! The McCain campaign greatly fears that if they separate the two, Palin will draw much larger and more enthusiastic crowds, overshadowing the top of the ticket. They're right! McCain on his own is a dud.
Because no one will show up if it just McCain.  When will she be allowed to answer some questions at these events? I feel like we are in the Twilight Zone...
why are these two clowns joined at the hip? ill tell you why, its not that palin is afraid to go out on her own, its that she will embarass the fool who picked her and the folks who love her will see she is all smoke and mirrors.

The first encounter I had with such "chemistry" was when I read "the Story of O" under the covers by flashlight when I was about 16.

Strange chemistry indeed, but it appeals to a certain mindset.

You know what I mean? ;)
{The plane is en route to Fairbanks, AK, where Palin will see her eldest son off to military service. }

Obamas kids will never wear the uniform. He'd send them to Canada before that would happen.
Gee, John. When are ya' gonna take off the trainin' wheels?
Strong chemistry? How about modern fiction.
Am I getting too cynical about politics, or does anyone else think the idea of campaigning together is because Palin can draw a crowd and McCain can't?  With maybe a little bit of "we can't really trust Palin on her own much yet" making the idea doubly attractive to McCain campaign?
Just heard a congresswoman(R)on hardball refer to Palin as Sarah McCain. Ummm, all this strong chemistry
must make Cindy McCain all a twitter with deja vu.
In other words, we don't trust her, and we don't want her speaking unscripted.
It's magic all right. Obama had it, then he picked Biden.

Hillary/12
No one's fooled by that tactic...McCain knows no one will come to see him alone...ridiculous...
Of course they have to appear together.  It's hard for the puppet (Palin) to be without the puppet master(McAncient).  What is wrong with people?  Do you not see that it is not about sexism, it's not becaue other not Palintologer women are begrudging of her success.  It is because, as a woman who believes in the rights of other women, I can see that she is not for women.  She isn't for America.  She is for Sarah Palin.
The old man cannot attract a crowd unless Palin is standing next to him so of course they want her to be campaigning with him! The other reason is her lack of knowledge on the issues as well as his positions. This duo is a farce and the way they are running their campaign is insulting to anyone with a modicum of intelligence. Remember women they are anti-choice and are the total opposite of Hilary Clinton.
I would suppose that the real reason they are compaigning together is that a)the public doesn't like McCain, they like Palin and b)Palin doesn't know much.

I would guess this means that McCain is going to abandon the town hall formats that he loves so much. And go to a stump speech that includes falsehoods about that stupid bridge.

The god-awful part about it is that it just might work.  I will lose all hope in this country if the American people elect those two morons.
Does it click or is it just a way to keep control of Palin so she won't screw up. First they won't let her talk to anyone in the media and now this. What are they hiding?
Obama and Biden don't campaign together because they can't stand each other.
Really pathetic....she can't face the music alone?  Pitiful!
No one coming out for McCain + infatuated mobs for Palin = chemistry.  ROFLMAO!!!!

They must be terrified of what it would look like for Palin to massively outdraw McCain.
Looks like magic to me.
No matter how this election turns out a couple of things are very clear.......the incredible female support for Palin has exposed the lie of liberal feminists that they, and only they, speak and represent women.  Conservative women, whether working outside the home or housewives, whether married or single,  are coming out in droves to make their voices heard.  They are women who embrace feminity and show it by loving God, loving family, embracing marriage, loving country, and loving life rather than wanting it terminated when it's not convenient.  How different from the mocking of God, devaluing of family and marriage, and hatred of men that is the cry of the radical feminist left.

This is what's behind so much of the hatred of Sarah Palin.  May true women continue to arise and lift their voices to expose the false feminism of the left.
joke of the day:  why must sarah paling ALWAYS appear with Sen. McCane?   answer#1--because the pit bull's a chicken!!         answr #2 because the old guy's a dodo!!
Of course they will stay together... McCain can't campaign by himself cause no one will show up. He is old, feeble and fragile. He NEEDS Palin to speak for him like old people tend to do.
I pray his strength and health sustain but it doesn't matter, American is ready to end this 8 year nightmare caused by the Republican party!

Obama/Biden '08
Well I guess after what happened today in Philly.  Oh, MSNBC -- you did get the memo?
More like he is afraid to leave her on her own!
McCain wants her crowd drawing power...and their handlers are afraid to leave her on her own without tight control and a leash.

McCain couldn't even 'Lead' his own Convention.  How can he lead America????
Chemistry?

She is a beauty queen and he is a lecherous old man that likes em young.

There is your chemestry
Sue, Chicago : Hello, Missouri and Virginia!  Let's think about this.

We have, we're voting for McCain.
The aide said the two have developed a strong chemistry together and will likely utilize it through joint rallies. Well the way i read this is that sarah has not passed her exam when it come to knowing what to say and not, and john has figured out that no one will come see him unless sarah is there, to me this is good, while they are joined at the hip(i know that sound disgusting) joe and barack can cover more ground and give more policy speeches!! and raise more money!!
"Everybody is bored with Obama. There's only so much whining and crying you can listen to from that guy. Palin though is the real deal!! "

Yeah, her fans seem like really classy people who stick to issues, too.
This is good news-- apparently in 2006 Sarah Palin requested a "stand in" for a debate.  Doesn't not bode well for her in the VP debate.

Also, why does John McCain stand behind her twirling his wedding ring.  I have never seen him do that before, but whenever he is around Palin, that ring is spinning.
Who is this Biden guy that people keep mentioning?  Is he even on the ticket?

/sarc
Just read on HufPO that some nitwit McCain surrogate on MSNBC is now claiming the "fish wrapped in newspaper"  comment is sexist too!  Why wouldn't the "journalist"  just call them out on that BS?  Actually this long leash they're giving McLame is going to be good for Obama.  This is too ridiculous!!!
He can't do without her; she can't do without him. Since when does one give up one's strengths to please those who want to defeat you!

Off topic; does Michelle wear lipstick? Don't Malia and Sasha wear lipgloss? My little piglets aged 7 and 11 do!
