We all miss Tim Russert, but NBC hiring his son is a bit over the top. There are a lot of very talented young people that are being passed over for this opportunity.  Let Luke earn his own stripes starting from local news and building his reputation the way other journalists do.  You are not doing Luke any favors and I am sure Tim would not approve.

Wow, I finally found a site that compares McCain and Obama about the ISSUES!  Go to: www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26563256 and you will see an article which says "And what if Maverick McCain is elected?"  Go down about 1/2 way and you will see a box that says Fact File.  Then you can click on issues like abortion, Afghanistan, campaign finance, etc. and see how they compare.  It's GREAT!  I wish the news would show this on t.v.!!  Along with how the tax policies will really affect us.  VERY INTERESTING!

Luke Russert was so much fun to watch at the Dem convention.  Hope to see more of him.  I've never been as impressed with the strength and grace of any young person as I was with Luke at the time of Tim's death.  He's an inspiration to us all.

I am completely sick to death of this 'national service' bull-crap. The founding father's didn't seem to think we owed this country a damn thing other then to pay taxes and obey the law! Has anybody noticed that there was NOT a military draft during the Revolutionary War? The Founding Fathers were rebels! Get it? Rebels! They were not peace corp volunteers!

I don't know about you but I saw Senator Barack Obama with a flag pin, but I look all over Senator McCain and I did not see any flag pin on him, how disrespectfull and out of touch with the American people and our feelings on a day like 9/11 is John McCain.

9/11 taught me one thing. in the 8 years that Clinton was president OBL was allowed to roam free and strike american  around the world with the knowledge that Clinton would never go after him. george Bush made a promise on 9/11 and kept. At no time in US history has America ever felt safer from international terrorism then now.

I don't know how John McCain can discuss national service with a straight face after the complete disrespect he and his cronies expressed at the RNC towards these dedicated individuals.
