Both Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin will participate in a protest on Monday of the presence of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadienjad, NBC News has learned.

The two politicians will not appear together at the protest but will both participate, according to those close to the organizing of this protest. The event is being organized by a coalition of groups (mostly Jewish) upset by the presence of Ahmadienjad in New York at the opening of the U.N. General Assembly and the threat Iran presents to "global security."

The protest will take place across the street from the U.N.

*** UPDATE *** NBC's Andrea Mitchell reports Hillary Clinton will not be attending the rally. An aide said they were not aware it had become a partisan political event. The groups had issued a press release saying both Clinton and Palin would be attending. The news release was the first that Clinton's people knew of Palin's involvement. Palin is expected to be at the U.N. next week to be introduced to visiting foreign leaders -- part of the McCain campaign's attempt to burnish her foreign policy credentials.

Please God let this be true!!  It probably will mean very little to Imadinnerjacket, but hopefully it will be the beginning of an awakening of American women.  As Plato once said, "The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men."  This holds just as true for women, especially when it comes to Iran.
I always wonder where the left's outrage is against this type of dictator-millions of women were freed from Saddam's tyranny, for example, yet it gets zero mention by so called feminists. Similarly, the hatred against Sarah Palin-if it doesn't fit the preconceived idea of liberalism/feminism, it is de facto hated, period.

What shading was hoped to be achieved by the qualifier  "(mostly Jewish)" being inserted as it was?

Hey, Chuck, how about having a look at this?  It sounds crazy enough to be an SNL skit, but it's just an appalling new spin on election season vote caging games.

I understand the Obama Camp is suing over this.

Please -- this needs to hit the mainstream media.

Too perfect! I cant wait for the Fey/Poehler reprise.
Is Palin bringing that Jews for Jesus dude that spoke at her church?  Or maybe just Granny Clampett.
That would be something to see both of them together.
Maybe they should hook up and re-enact the SNL skit.
Oh this is rich! Sarah & Hillary to protest the presence of Ahmadinejad while Obama is trying to find him so they can have a friendly chat. I guess Hillary
has joined Sarah in believing that Obama is an idiot.
They're the only two politicians who will be there?
Why is Sarah going.  I believe she should probably study up on Foreign affairs and Bush Doctrine.  Hillary does not need this National Security 101.  When she done she may want to check on her 16 year old.
Thank you Hillary and Sarah.  Oh, I suspect Obama is too busy.  I'm still waiting for him to explain the "legitimate causes" that terrorist groups have (per his interview with the New York Times earlier this year).  Considering that, I can't imagine he will be there.  He's a 'citizen of the world' first and of his country (whichever one that is) only second.
Ahmadienjad wants to destroy Israel and the Jewish community.  Hopefully, the protest will send a message to Iran, that we will not tolerate threats to our allies.

He is a walking time bomb and dangerous to all nations.
Sarah Palin will be trying to convert the Jews to Christians as part of her overall strategy to reduce terrorism.
