GOP responds to Obama in NV

From NBC's Jeff Hanley and John Talty
In a conference call responding to Obama's event today in Nevada, Republican National Committee chairman Robert Duncan blasted Obama on the economy, stating that “his policies are ones that we’ve seen before … propose a trillion dollars in new government spending and a billion dollars in earmarks… It shows that he is an out of control tax-and-spender.”

Nancy Pfotenhauer, a policy adviser for the McCain campaign, added on the call that it’s McCain’s goal to keep taxes low, and that in an economic downturn you do not want to tax capital formation.

A decade ago, McCain strongly supported policies of deregulation in the banking sector. And asked about the evolution of McCain’s thoughts on policies related to regulation, Duncan replied that it was a “patchwork of regulatory agencies” to blame for the current crisis, and that “better regulation was needed and not necessarily more regulation.”

Well, Mr. Duncan, the policies of your party sure  haven't been working!!
Let's see if this will be the fourth post you guys fail to put up.

The Keating 5, who did Charles Keating have testify that the Savings and Loans were stable? Alan Greenspan.

When he was appointed to be Fed Chair by Reagan, the stock market went in the tank.

How come no one's talking about the banks in Arizona going under, right in McFossils home state.

Trust me, Indiana will stay a repug state due to all the racists in this state, unfortunately.
So let's see if I have this straight.  McCain has supported deregulation which has now created the Wall Street crisis, so now he is for regulation.  But as per his advisors, the "right" kind of regulations.

Which leads me to ask McCain:  What do you consider the "right" kind of regulation?  Does it involve any checks and balances or is it just verbage to use to get elected so you can continue with your deregulation policies?  Maybe your idea of the "right" regulations is actually NO regulations.

Hmmmmmm......
Yeah Nancy Pfowhatever, it was also the goal of McCain to keep out of jail when the Keating Five mess hit the fan.  Keep shilling, and maybe someone will listen to you when China, Taiwan, Japan call the notes
yap, yap, yap--mccain's people remind me of a little dog--always barking at somebody's heels with no real point and nothing accomplished
“his policies are ones that we’ve seen before … propose a trillion dollars in new government spending and a billion dollars in earmarks… It shows that he is an out of control tax-and-spender.”

When will Obamatots get it????????/
Also, in 2005, McCain co-sponsored a bill re the mortgage market. He was specific that there were dangerous practices going on that the American public would pay a high price if the mortgage companies weren't reigned in.  The Democrats voted the bill down.  So, please get it straight, Obamatots, that McCain was trying to address the problem, more than you can Obama ever did in the Senate.
McCain, as evidenced by his lying spokespeople, has sold his honor and integrity in an attempt to win an election.  He won't win the election and he won't ever regain his honor or his integrity.  How pathetic!

Gee Mr. Duncan according to your candidate,no regulation was the way to go.You people can't have it both ways when it's not working for you.
Mr. Duncan, did the tax cut Bush pushed through wear out? I assume this tax cut is still in effect, if this is correct why is the economy in such a mess?
Isn't better regulation more regulation?
Since the Republicans have allowed all our jobs to go overseas, the only jobs left ARE gov't jobs.
http://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/1989-11-29/news/mccain-the-most-reprehensible-of-the-keating-five/1

Check out what the Phoenix paper thought of the honorable, LMAO, John S McCain. Sound familiar??
Here's the problem with John McCain's economic policy: he doesn't have one. By proposing a trickle-down tax policy with regulation, I see a contradiction in philosophy.
I don't see the policies of your party working! They are only bringing us down Mr. Duncun!
Mr. Duncan is delusional.  All the experts over the past several days have agreed that deregulation was at the heart of the financial crisis we find ourselves in. Mr. Duncan and McCain want to blame it on corporate greed. What? Carly Fiorina would know a little something about that...with her golden parachute and all. Since McCain can't remember that he is a REPUBLICAN or admit that GWB is is best bud it will only be a moment until he forgets that his other best bud PHIL GRAMM, the PhD Economist, though deregulation was the best thing since slice bread. Now that amnesia thing might work and it might not. Frankly, I'm not buying it!
I note they didn't respond to Obama's "old boy" zinger.

How could they - really? Claim "ageism"?
What - EXACTLY has obama ever done to help the economy - or - anything else?  Seems he CHANGES to suit his own political agenda.
Obama is a FRAUD - he will Never be elected.
All credibility on behalf of how McCain will handle the economy went out the window when he said his infamous fundamentals of the economy are strong while the stock market was plummeting. Even more so since the Dow has dropped nearly a thousand points this week.
It's easy the right kind of regulation is that run by the industry. Phil Gramm and McCain will follow the Bush approach of putting industry hacks in key regulatory postions.  Then we have a 9/11 commsssion( headed by industry hacks)deermine we need to make on super agency called Homeland Security Commission. Again this becomes a boondogle of all Federal agencies that is headed by industry hacks that misappropirate funds for their own use.
( see Interior Dept for road map)  In the meantime we go to hell in a hand basket. McCain/Palin Change for Change sake.
I wonder if McCain has a brain and can say something without being told what to say by his looney advisors. When it comes to the economy he should just plead the fifth. I think he can do that without reading it. The economy is a black hole for the Republicans, McCain, and his Queen of pork.
McCain screams "Do not worry all is well"This as the mob runs him down trying to pull their meager savings from an S& L.
By their strategy and arguing points, I'm starting to believe the Republicans WANT to lose the election.  There seems to be a broader pattern....soak the the middle class and the system dry, hand the bankrupt economy back to the Dems, let them build it up again, and in 8 years come back and start the process all over..lol

In 2005, the Republicans had the majority in the House, Senate and the White House.  Why didn't it get very far?  Not enough info to convince me.

A DECADE AGO. ARE YOU SERIOUS? He felt this way and said so just last week...Maybe even yesterday.  WAAAAAKE UUUUUUP!!!!
Jack, what has mccain done? ensure limited regulation.  this country is heading right down the tubes.  keep putting your head in the sand.  the man is as clueless as you are.
That is a typical tactic from the republicans and it's really a whimper that falls flat.  The republicans have provided us with a truly challenging economic reality and there is no way that 'he has lost his mind' McCain should be in charge.
For you people that try to make the ridiculous tax-and-spend chorus your mantra against the Democrats, how do you defend your borrow-from-China-and-spend?  Gee, I guess there are alot of meanings for the "Bush Doctrine".  Give it up Repubs, you had your chance and if we don't finally quit digging, we are going to end up in your lender's back yard. No more of the same.  ENOUGH!
“his policies are ones that we’ve seen before … propose a trillion dollars in new government spending and a billion dollars in earmarks… It shows that he is an out of control tax-and-spender.”

Wow--just a little hyperbole, there Mr. Duncan!

How come the American economy always thrives under Democratic leadership?  Maybe because Democrats care about all of the citizens in the US, not just the rich ones.  I think the last 7.5 years show us that Republican leaders do not have middle class Americans' best interests at heart.  McCain doesn't get that; Obama does!  Go Obama/Biden!
"You can't just make stuff up!" -- Senator Obama.

Uh, well Senator, it seems they think they CAN!!

GET A CLUE REPUBLICANS!! YOUR PARTY'S "BRAND" IS NOW OFFICIALLY IN THE TOILET!!

IF McCAIN WANTS TO "TAKE ON THE GOOD OL' BOYS CLUB"; I GUESS THE NEXT CAMPAIGN AD WE SEE WILL SHOW HIM SHADOW BOXING A MIRROR!!
I didn't know how many racist people were in Indiana.  Man it is really sad.  Indiana with McCain as President are going to get hit hard from CAFTA.  The people their know it but they don't care and they don't care about their children.  I'm not sure if Ohio is starting to wake up.
