Say goodbye to 'thanks but no thanks'?

THE VILLAGES, Fla. -- Has Sarah Palin said "thanks but no thanks" to one of her most well-known applause lines?

In her speech today in Florida, Palin did not mention the infamous "bridge to nowhere." Nor have we heard the line in her last few joint appearances with John McCain. In fact, according to NBC's logs, the last time she mentioned the bridge was six days ago at a rally in Golden, CO. Prior to that, the bridge refrain was a fixture of Palin's stump speech (used at least 11 different times).

A campaign advisor rejected the notion that the absence of the line is a tacit concession that Palin's claims about the bridge project have been misleading. The advisor suggests this is just the normal course of varying the stump speech and that we may hear reference to the bridge again soon.

Hahahaha... because everyone KNOWS it's a BOLD FACED LIE, and the media has begun to call her on it!

Dipstick and Lipstick

Palin does not and could not come up with an original thought in her brain because the McCain/Bushies have to right the script for her. The resurgitation of lies catches up to you after awhile.
Sarah Palin: Did you know she wanted rape victims to pay for their own rape kits? Funny and horrifying.  Check out the animated cartoon:

"A campaign advisor rejected the notion that the absence of the line is a tacit concession that Palin's claims about the bridge project have been misleading."

Excuse me, could you please "grow some" in the words of SNL's Amy Poehler/Clinton. The line wasn't misleading, it was a LIE! Look at her September 21, 2007 press release, where she blames the death of the project on Congresses unwillingness to fund the bridge!

Well she stops spewing wrong information about the bridge to nowhere now if she would come clean on the troopergate deal.I understand McCain,s gang has taken over her govenor,s  public information office.
Gosh, she wore out the lie of thanks but no thanks,
but don't fret will has and will find many more
to take their place.
First read, you dont't show any news of the day
until late afternoon and guess what, they are
all about Palin or negative to Obama.
Would have had more integrity if you just kept
quiet.
Hey First Read, how about the $27 million "road to nowhere" Palin got earmarks for?  A gravel road costing $27 mil?  How long is this road?
I guess this is great news for Keith O. At $100 per mention it saves him, but sadly costs the Alaska Special Olympics.
THANKS BUT NO THANKS TO SARA PALIN!! Women be wise she's not ffit to be V.P. She owes us an apoligy for preaching abstinence when it surely didn't work in her family. Now she has to be handled gently in her debate! whats happened to the PITBULL,guntoting animal killer you rednecks love????
Unbelievable, MSNBC highlighted the no but no thanks but never mentioned that there were 70,000 people attended the rally.
If these people are as religious as they pretend to be. Isn't lying a sin? Isn't "thou shalt not lie" one of the commandments, along with thou shalt not kill/commit adultery/etc? This just shows more of the same Republican hypocresy we have come to know and hate about them.
Bull..,its exactly why they took it out..another lie...but heck if they take all her lies out of her speech she would have to stand there mute lol.  Oh and I am one of the florida women that didnt waste my time going to listen to her garbage.  I knew when I heard where she was speaking that it was a rich community...yep same ole repubs...for the rich.  I hope when they put both these two inept candidates in they lose all the wealth they have and they will...heck I dont have a lot to lose..b ut they sure do lolol.
Sarah Palin is exactly like John McCain, both full of hot air and lies, she has tried to mislead the country, so many uneducated believed her, glad that the bubble has burst, and what we have found is a whole lot of hot air and lies like her hero McCain and Bush.
she also didn't take questions or talk to the media!

Awwwww...

We wanted to play "STUMP THE CANDIDATE!" UNFAIR, UNFAIR, UNFAIR *stomp*stomp*stomp*

She wouldn't play last time either!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Waahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
Hmmm...let's think about this.  Sarah Palin for weeks has been insisting that she's a maverick because she cuts earmarks, citing the "Bridge to Nowhere" over and over as Exhibit A.  Yet there's plenty of video proof that it's not true, she supported the Bridge while running for Governor and it was Congress that cut it.  So she finally stopped saying something about the past that was clearly, objectively untrue.

Now she chastises Obama for not laying out a specific plan to manage the largest and most complex financial crisis in history while its resolution is being hammered out as we speak in the Treasury Department and Congress.  He's being patient about a delicate and dynamic problem with huge implications.  How quickly do you think the McCain Campaign would pounce on there being "one President at a time" if Obama did insist on a specific proposal?  We seek bipartisan ideas for a long-term solution to a complex problem that few insiders even understand, and Palin is disappointed that Obama didn't skew it with election politics?

Sure we know McCain said the fundamentals of the economy were strong...until he said the next day we were in an economic crisis.  He said the government shouldn't bail out AIG...until that decision was made and he agreed that it was necessary.  We know McCain and Phil Gramm have a relentless record of pushing for deregulation...until that has become the problem with the banking and financial industries and he now agrees that goverment regulation is necessary.  I'd rather have Obama remain calm and patient while the resolution is still in process than have McCain take opposite positions every other day.  We're learning a lot about leadership style here.
Guess when you are caught lying it is time to shut up
Sad times when Palin can't take credit for the lies she says on the campaign trail.  How will she stump if she has to tell the truth??
she is a liar.
she should be called "ask me NO question sara" cause no one is allowed to ask her anything.
Of course we might hear it again.  What good is a republican that can't lie consistently?
Lies are catching up with them finally, they had to stop. They have to get her in front of reporter soon and don't want them asking her about it.
Wow.  Adding new lines to Unqualified Barbie's pull-cord voice box.

Bet she can still see Russia from her house....!

You are The Boss... which team would you hire?

Obama:
Occidental College - Two years.
Columbia University - B.A. political science with a specialization in international relations.
Harvard - Juris Doctor (J.D.) Magna Cum Laude
Constitutional Law Professor

Biden:
University of Delaware - B.A. in history and B.A. in political science.
Syracuse University College of Law - Juris Doctor (J.D.)

vs.

McCain:
United States Naval Academy - Class rank 894 of 899, Basic Bachelors of Science studies.

Palin:
Hawaii Pacific University - 1 semester
North Idaho College - 2 semesters - general study
University of Idaho - 2 semesters - journalism
Matanuska-Susitna College - 1 semester
University of Idaho - 3 semesters - B.A. in journalism

Now, which team are you going to hire ?

And once again - a scripted speech from Sarah. And of course no questions from the press or the public. Come out - come out - wherever you are.
The Republicans have been in power for 8 years.  For six of those they also ran congress.  If I lost my job I will lose my health insurance.
The Republicans do not deserve another 4 years in the White house.  A war, foreign relationships at a low, dollar at a low,  Huge debt etc
Liar, liar, panties on fire.
It's shameful that Sarah Palin introduced herself to the country with a lie.   She has shown herself to be a dis-honest politician.
...and if you believe that i have a bridge to sell ya.

Sounds like a campaign to no where to me.
Thank's but no thank's.  This remind's me of an old story, of a gal that goes down to a well, in the dead of night to get some water.  She looks down into the well and see's the moon in the water.  Threw "Fear", she grab's her man's rope and threw's it down the well to save it.  (It hook's on to a rock), and she pull's and pull's, until finally the rope break's.  She fall's on her back side, and look's up and see's the moon in the sky......and say's, good to been of service.....
I heard on the news today the bridge to nowhere was built, is that another Mcnuts lie or did the media report wrong.  Oh well she won't even know so she'll use it again.  Go back to alaska moosetracks and take you brood with you!!!!  They have testimony to give!!
If they didn't care that it was a lie 11 times before, and they didn't care that we all knew it was a lie, it doesn't seem that any of them (including) Palin) will have any problem lying to us again in the near future.
Now if the American people would just say 'thanks, but no thanks' to McCain/Palin!
Sarah Palin IS the bridge to nowhere.
It was closer to 25,000 people in a retirement community of 70.000. She knows she'd better stop lying about that bridge because they are going to get her on it during the debate, which now is short answers only since she can't answer anything with more than a few words!
And if you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you in Alaska.  This just shows how much the McCain campaign disrespects the American voter and thinks that we are stupid.

The "Country First" man has selected a novice and political idiologue to be his running mate and potentially a president.  I believe that he could have done better going door-to-door in a random suburban community asking "would you like to be VP?"
McCain's choice for VP was all about energizing his failing campaign; no thought was given to who would take over as president if McCain should be disabled or die.

Country first?
ALL THE WOMEN I'VE TALKED TO GOING DOOR TO DOOR COULD CARE LESS ABOUT MCPALINS BRIDGE TO NOWHERE...SHE MUST THINK THAT WOMEN IN THE LOWER 49 STATES ARE STUPID...WELL I'VE GOT NEWS FOR HER...ALL OF THE WOMEN IN SOUTHERN INDIANA CAN'T EVEN STAND TO HEAR HER SPEAK...LET ALONE PUT THIS WOMEN WHO SPEAKS IN TONGUES AND WHO THINKS SOME PREACHER PRAYED HER WAY INTO BEING GOVENER....GIVE ME A BREAK

OBAMA/BIDEN ALL THE WAY TO THE WHITE HOUSE!!!!!
http://twocanpete.blogspot.com/
How about a 'thanks but no thanks' to Sarah the Liar?
You are so biased!!  A good friend of mine went to this event and stood in line 3 hours with the heat reaching 90+ degrees!  She was a Hillary supporter.

The fire chief estimated there were nearly 70,000 people. Why don't you report the facts?  We know you want to destroy Palin and McCain because it helps your guy Obama, but can't you at least try to be fair??  No wonder MSNBC ratings are tanking!
she should have said thanks but no thanks to Senator Mc Cain
"The advisor suggests this is just the normal course of varying the stump speech and that we may hear reference to the bridge again soon."

Doubtful.  Mrs. Palin is crafty and shrill, but she's not inherently smart (smarmy is not the same thing as intelligent, or even creative).  Mrs. Palin finally took enough heat from those floating her new lifestyle that she realized she might consider curbing the outright lies.  It'll be interesting to witness the process of how she is also told to reconstruct an image where she is competent or knows how to work for a living.

I have a new catchy phrase that perfectly describes my opinion of Governor Lie-allot, of Alaska....

"You are "SO" my Bitch, BUT I said "NO", Bitch".

I don't think FR will post this, but all of your pundits should realize that millions of people out here in the real world think this very same way about the Wasilla Witch.

The McCain campaign is saying that it may resume this line only because they don't want to admit that it was misleading and is no longer popular. Thank you press, you killed this bridge fallacy. I have been following the race very closely and it is sometimes difficult to tell what is fact or myth. Keep both campaigns honest.

The Villages in Florida. I'd like to retire there.
Close to Tiger's house, I believe, where Obama and his lovely wife would visit when their not wishing they were in the White House.
WOW, Sarah was taught a speece without the nowhere bridge line! "Sarah want a cracker"

Thanks But No Thanks to the lying & I'm to good to answer questions McPain!

Obama/Biden '08/12
Can we say "thanks but no thanks" to Sarah Palin ad her running mate?  If McCain had chosen Candolezza Rice then and only then would it have been a close one. Please just go back to Alaska...
I'd like to say goodbye to Palin herself - why doesn't anyone ask her why she's dropped the line?  Oh, that's right, no one's allowed to ask her anything.  Let's say thanks, but no thanks to her & McBush.
