This is quite a lead from the AP. "Less than a week after balking at the Alaska Legislature's investigation into her alleged abuse of power, Gov. Sarah Palin on Monday indicated she will cooperate with a separate probe run by people she can fire. An attorney for the GOP vice presidential nominee met with an investigator for the state Personnel Board to discuss sharing documents and schedule witness interviews, McCain spokeswoman Meg Stapleton said. Neither she nor McCain spokesman Ed O'Callaghan had further details about the meeting and said they did not know if the governor or her husband would be interviewed."

Palin is so needed on the trail that they don't have her raising money anymore?

If I were someone being investigated, I'd want it done by people I can fire and shut up, too. Only problem is, that's not how the United States works, and unless or until Toddster has his way and Alaska succeeds, U.S. law should prevail. If she's investigated by people she can silence, it's not an investigation, it's a whitewash, a joke.

Can someone please explain to me why John McCain can put out an ad promoting Wall Street reform grounded in transparency when he is opposing that same transparency with respect to a bi-partisan investigation into TrooperGate? John, if you're afraid to allow transparency on this small matter, you're not going to reform Wall Street at all.

They need to show that they can still draw people. Is it possible that people are only coming to see her, and everyone knows that she is a political pick. It would have been nice if you had posted one little but important note -- the fund raising is for the party and not the campaign.

The October surprise came a little early -- she flip-floped on testifing for this committee. I am sure that a bigger one will be on the way. How much is this like George W. Bush; allowing people to testify or not?

Why don't we have Cheney over see the investigation? If it is not an independent investigator Palin or her husband will controll the outcome. Is this the type of justice that we have in America? Is this the type of justice we want in Washington?

Palin is not "meeting" with voters and foreign leaders. In a meeting, two or more people come together for the purpose of DISCUSSING a (usually) predetermined topic such as business or community event planning, often in a formal setting. She speaks to voters and she is having a picture with foreign leaders. I have not seen her have a discussion with voters. Palin does now have a set anser to questions.

It was an unwise decision to first say she would cooperate with the initial investigation and then say she wouldn't. It makes absolutely no political sense to now say that she will cooperate with this second investigation that would have no way to show any true objectivity.

Doesn't matter what she does now. here is an independent (although he calls it political) investigation still ongoing without her cooperation. I am sure that even without her cooperation they will be able to dig up enough to get an idea of the situation.

Then we can compare that with HER approved investigation.
