Barney Frank on McCain, Hail Marys

For what it's worth, the man who is leading congressional Democrats in negotiating the bailout deal with the administration isn't impressed with Sen. McCain's announcement.

Rep. Barney Frank told a group of reporters outside the House chamber:

"It's the longest Hail Mary pass in the history of either football or Marys."

The dems are running scared from the finance debacle that THEY created.  It was not McCain's fault.  The dems FORCED loans to people they knew couldn't afford it.
Isn't this debate over foreign policy ????

If so then they should stick to ONLY that topic ! Or for that matter only debate the topic set. The moderator should both to the topic at hand and nothing else.
Boo-ya!!

Debates a go. This is the best time for the next President to talk about what he will do and show his ability to do several things at once.
They could also hold the debate in Washington. there's no excuse for this. Let's hope the President doesn't try to declare a state of emergency tonight.
We don't need to have presidential politics invade Washington when there are critical decisions to be made.  Barack Obama is correct in saying that the debates should go on.  We can now see who the real coward is, the one who wants to go back to the Senate to catch up on his naptime while ducking a debate he knows he'll lose.

Go Obama/Biden 08/12!
Barney Frank?  The same congressman that led opposition to any attempt to look into and reign in Fanny May and Freddie Mack since 2001?
Back in 2005 McCain sponsored legislation to further regulate the activities of Fanny May and Freddie Mack, guess who opposed it?  Barney Frank.

Many Democrats like Frank received large amounts of money from Fanny May and Freddie Mack, and their voting records reflect that.  Now they want to act like this whole mess is a Republican problem.
Oh, for pete's sake. McCain can't even do two things at once and he wants to be President!

Barney Frank nailed it the same as Biden nailed it earlier today.....lmao
Got to agree with Barney on this one.  There is no reason to delay the debate.   I saw on another site that McCain's campaign made a statement that they had delayed the Republican Convention because of Hurrican Ike.  Does anyone remember a delay in the convention?  I quite sure it started the exact day it was scheduled to.

The only reason for McCain to ask for a delay is because he is not prepared to go forward.
You've got it all wrong, folks.  This is what real leadership looks like.

Hey, I just figured out why John McCain suspended the debates!

After reading the latest polls, he realized he was going to need a bigger supply of colostomy bags!

Maybe he'll agree to stick to the schedule if Obama allows him to debate while standing in kitty litter!

This latest move by the GOP's maverick candidate is appalling. Americans expect their president to multitask, and McCain just showed us that he can't walk and chew bubble gum at the same time. It is his assumed role and duty to try to get elected president for his party. With six weeks to, this is no time to try to be a hero. The Debate is Friday.

Why don't we just call off the election completely until all of the world's problems are solved? McBush says that we need to work together to help the American people...that's why he chose an unqualified person who happens to be female as his VP candidate and why he and his lobbyist friends make up huge lies about his opponent; because he's such a team player! Go away and just shut up McSame and Photo-Op Palin! You are full of it!!!!!
Can you save these blogs and read them later ???

This may not be so funny come nov 5th and McCain IS the next POTUS
How will McBush respond to that 3:00 AM phone call,
"Can we postpone please I'm not ready."
