McCain speaks to sportsmen

Posted: Sunday, September 28, 2008 4:22 PM by Domenico Montanaro

From NBC/NJ’s Adam Aigner-Treworgy
McCain addressed the U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance via satellite last night after canceling his trip to Ohio to stay in D.C., where he said he would work on the bailout legislation in Congress. But he didn’t visit the Hill yesterday and did all his senatorial work on the legislation over the phone from his headquarters in Arlington, Va.

After apologizing for his absence, McCain went after Obama on his record on gun control and support for hunters and fishermen. This included a hit on a survey Obama filled out as a state senator and his “bitter” comments in San Francisco.

He also made a brief reference to the debate Friday and played the McCain campaign’s talking point about Obama not mentioning the word “victory” once.

Obama was campaigning in North Carolina and Virginia yesterday.

Any wonder why McGrumpy's poll numbers are in free fall? This is the worst excuse for a presidential campaign I've ever seen, and i remember them back to the 50's.

Supposedly honorable POW war hero's strategy: Lie, distract, attack, lie, rationalize, repeat when necessary.
After watching the Sunday circuit, it is clear to me that the Republican party will say anything.  Tucker Bounds is completely scurrilous and Lindsey Graham is out of touch.  I am so disgusted with their BS.
1.  Patraeus himself wouldn't use 'victory' in association with Iraq, EVER.
2.  McCain does not sit on ANY banking committees, therefore his 'presence' in DC is a complete stunt/gimmick.  It is improving his economic creds by being in the same city as the deal just like living in Alaska (neighboring Russia) doesn't give Palin foreign policy cred.
3.  Obama's vote on the 42K singles/83K families 'tax increase' was in relation to a BUDGET item, NOT an ACTUAL tax increase.
4.  The Supreme Court SETTLED the Gun issue this year, so continuing to bring it up is more fearmongering.  "...he's the boogey man, he'll date your daughters, take your guns and raise your taxes..."  We've seen this crap for decades now, get over it!

Anyone voting for the Republican brand appear to be sadists to me.  It would be better for you to NOT vote, if you aren't going to bother to research the positions of these candidates.  If you are voting that single issue - I feel very sorry for you that the past eight years of pain haven't convinced you to identify the source of the pain.  And if this bailout isn't icing on the cake,...you are too unenlightened to come in from the rain.

I do not understand my fellow Americans, and I am sure I never will.  I think we can do better as a nation and I am curious why more Americans are so beaten down, they don't believe it too?
Oops, not in Washington DC where he said he'd be. Just another distortion from McCain. Just more political theater. This shouldn't surprise anyone.
