Thank Buddha that the country is finally turning away from Bush's & McCain's brand of fascism.

No Diane, This country isn't going BLUE ! There are still more than enough of us rational people to see through the obama crap to save even you.
I have nothing against 'C' Students but this country has had enough of simple mediocrity.  It's time for us to stop taking our freedoms for granted and put the most talented individuals in office that we can.

Barack is the Bomb!

Hey Isaac - We're still working hard here in Texas... Obama by 10 when all is said and done!

Okay, maybe not, but we're still working hard for Obama (to cut the lead as much as possible) and for down-ticket dems.

It will be a long month. I'm male 65, Republican Hamilton County Ohio born and raised and 100%pro Barack. The local die-hard Republicans will go for McCain. They just push the R button no matter who it is. The R centrists are interested in Obama and know McCain is not offering what they want to hear...they hate talking about Bush. The Democrats are pretty conservative and could go either way. Barack faces basic racism that isn't violently hateful, but is, by long years of breading, fearful of a blackman. I meet many who do not support McCain but are having a really hard time thinking about voting for a black man. Some of them - R & D will and THAT IS A BIG CHANGE. If Hamilton county is going negative on McCain, he will lose the state. I'd like to see the stitistics for polling in Hamilton County. My guess is that it is getting softer and softer. It's tough going against cultural beliefs but the Republicans I know are surely not interested in four more years of Bush economics.

Nobama, miami:

Well you were wrong about not having your comment posted weren't you butt-head. You propbably don't have a clue as to the definition of a socialist or communist. All you know how to do is spew hate and labels you can't even define. Tell us Nobama, miami, just what books or magaizines or newspapers have you read lately?  I know, the Ann Coulter series on how to be a mud-slinging, neo-con, racist, hater of others, right?
Yes, the issues are helping Obama, but so is his massive groundgame effort.  McCain has little to no volunteer support outside of hardcore Republican areas, and even there a lot of it has come only after Palin was named as VP.

Obama, on the other hand, has implemented a dedicated community organization style grass-roots effort.  This is built around the ideas of educating, training, inclusiveness and empowerment, with people of all ages and backgrounds coming together for common cause.  He's had "Obama Fellows" (weeks of training) trained up and sent out all over the map for months now, and there are "Camp Obama" (2 day training) graduates spreading all over the battleground states to help organize the final 5 week push.

Folks who live in states like Illinois (safe Obama) or N Dakota/Utah(safe McCain), the Obama campaign still wants and needs your help!  You live near enough to battleground states that your can make a real difference by volunteering to call folks in these states (Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan, Iowa, Indiana, Missouri and Wisconsin to name a few), drive to canvass on weekends and help get out the vote efforts.  800 Illinois based volunteers drove to Iowa last weekend, for example.  Every state's organizing committee has a page on http://my.barackobama.com that describes their export efforts.

If nothing else, encourage your friends to take advantage of early voting in contested states, as that will decrease the chance of issues and irregularities on Nov. 4.
Pat...

I would agree with you... but what Obama has done is absolutely incredible.  He garnered up a huge ground game before he started slashing McClown with ads.  Remember when the GE kicked off, McClown was blasting Obama and we weren't getting much response from Obama other than the back and forth dialogue from his surrogates.... he was doubling down in ground operations in these key battle states.  I know in NM and CO, Obama is ahead... NV has been back and forth.

If Obama wins the Kerry states and brings in NM, CO, NV, VA, NC and MO... you're looking at a 356-182 electorial college.

I don't think MO is that close.  I do think Barack can pull it off in all the other ones.

Obama, here in Colorado had voluteers out on the 4th of July at a pretty big lake registering people to vote.  At the time I thought it was stupid... but they were signing up huge numbers of voters from what I could tell.
Now that it is that close the McCain ads will just more and more sleazy and filled with lies. They know these are soft numbers. Hopefully, the electorate have learned from the last two elections that the lies were just that, and the Bush team followed up being liars throughtout their time in office. The McCain camp would be the same. Lies and slime in the campaign bode more lies during the administration
Hooray!  I'm elated by the these numbers and hope they keep going up.  I do want to caution everyone against becoming complacent and urge all of us to get out and vote on election day.  Talk is cheap, let's get Obama elected!!!!!!
I think it's that Palin factor McCain keeps bragging about that gave him such an immediate boost after selecting her as his VP running mate but which now is only working to the advantage of Obama because America has had a chance to see how beyond stupid Palin really is.  McCain's judgement is on display and Democrats couldn't be happier!
Thanks Kevin... keep up the good fight.  The more dems that get in office, the quicker Obama can rectify the idiocy this administration has subjected us to as a nation.
Why all the Obama supporters on this blog? I assumed MSNBC was a neutral news outlet. It's disappointing that Obama is ahead.

McCain for President 2008/12
People shouldn't be so hasty in pronouncing Obama President because of these polls.  McCain and the republican party are now going to start really nasty politics.  You'll see Rev Wright make a return appearance, probably Osama bin Ladin and lord knows what else.  Don't rejoice yet make sure you vote for Obama to get this country back on track!
McSame/Failin headed for a major defeat.

January 2009:  End of an Error.
Hooray!  I'm elated by the these numbers and hope they keep going up.  I do want to caution everyone against becoming complacent and urge all of us to get out and vote on election day.  Talk is cheap, let's get Obama elected!!!!!!
I wish my vote would change Texas to blue!!!!
I'll go out on a limb and say this... Obama will win Ohio and here's why...

They've allowed the register and vote on the same day.  This will be huge in the minority communities of Cleveland, Cinci and Dayton.  It will also be huge on college Campus' in Columbus, Dayton, etc..  There is going to be a huge minority and youth turn out in Ohio...

Obama will win it by 5.
Americans, DO NOT vote Obama, DO NOT vote McCain. Just VOTE for the person you think might make this Country better than it is right now. Please do not think NAMES or ethnic background. If you do, People will be in big trouble for 4 more years.
I predicted the gas price will be above $3.00 in 2004 if Busch is elected, now I’m predicting the gas price will be more than $10 by the end of the first term of the wrong president. If we elect the right one, believe it or not the gallon of gas will be less than $1.00 before the end of his first term. OBAMA is the right choice.
Yes.  People are finally starting to wake up.  We need someone intelligent in the White House.  That means Obama and Biden.  They are both so intelligent.  McCain and Palin are both not so intelligent.  When you listen to the different candidates you can just tell who is more sincere.  McCain has lost his credibility.  He lies every time he opens his mouth.  Palin lies every time she opens her mouth when she isn't making stupid comments like she has foreign experience because she can see Russia from her home, or the time with Katie Couric when she didn't know of any example when McCain had called for more regulations, because his entire career he has asked for less regulations.  When Katie pushed her for some specific examples she said "I'll have to see if I can find some, and get back to you".  Get off of the "Stupid Express".  Vote for Obama and Biden.
Down-ballot too! The Republican candidates are losing ground in Mississippi and Texas's Senate races, in PA-03 and NM-02! roundup: http://campaigndiaries.com/2008/10/01/gop-meltdown-continues/
Please stop with the polls, they change every day. If you want a socialist goverment vote for Obama. He seems to want to rob from the rich to pay for the poor. Young people that have never had a house payment, paid for college or medical bills or paid taxes should not be allowed to vote. I guess they will vote for Obama since they have not had many life experiences. MSNBC you must just take polls of the young (18-21). I work at a college and listen to the students that have not had to pay for anything. Please keep up the good work and take polls from them, they all want Obama
As an Obama supporter, I am So happy that I wish it were a Miller Lite Nite instead of Wednesday because I feel liike celebrating!!! But I agree with those who remind that we can't afford to become complacent. Some speculate that this is why Obama lost NH in the primaries because polls showed him ahead of Hillary and the young folks, in particular, did not show up to vote. These polls might make Dem relax and could energize conservatives to get out and vote. WE GOT TO FINISH THIS THING on November 4th.
Amazeing Grace! How sweet the sound!
"One word...DIEBOLD!"

Sorry Pat but the name has been changed to protect the guilty and fool the gullible. It is now three (four?) words. Watch out for this name in your state elections.

Premier Election Solutions Inc (or PESI)
Yay is time for change!!! =D
Thank God!!
I cant even imagine if Mccain/Palin  win, I want to run out of this country!
She would serve polar bear for dinner at the white house..and try to decorate the white hosue with poor animals all over the walls, to show off her sharp shooting skills!
Our wild life would be in such danger!I cant even think of! That woman gives me the kreeps!
Never mind the fact they would run down the ecomony even more and the republicans will turn the US into a poor country, the rich get richer the middle class vanishes . Oh but the rich republicans radio talk show hosts be even more rich and teaching more hate.

Oh please god let Obama win!! we need change desperatly!

Omg. I think we should just cancel the election and place the anointed one into office. I can't wait til Obama the Great nationalizes the media. Afterall isnt that what communists do?

Amazing how people can't see what a socialist Obama really is. Well I am sure that MSNBC won't publish this message since I am not voting for Obama.

WOW! And I thought CHENEY was a DICK!!  You take the cake, bro'.  A comunist?  I can't believe you didn't imply he's a F****** N******, too.  But I have to agree, I too, am surprised MSNBS let your crap comment get through.  I DO wonder if they will print mine, though. It's pretty harsh, but you deserve it, dude.

BTW- if MO. is this close, maybe IN can swing to what's good for ALL of us this time!

GOBAMA!
I watched Obama in La Crosse Wisconsin, we live 30 miles away, and his speech brought tears to my eyes. He spoke so the average lay person could understand and, if he is as true as his speech, he wold make 1 hell of a president. We need changes for the middle class and the hard working American people, he has my vote and my husband's.
It took 8 years and an economy that is on the brink of disaster for Americans to make a smart choice. Obama and Biden will turn this country around. It is time for change, so Washington get ready for major reform. This country was built by middle class Americans and almost destroyed by greed on Wall Street. So look out. Americans are taking back their country and putting a true leader in charge.
Obama/Biden 08!!
Nobama, miami, Florida

Hehe...you would be funny if you were so pathetic.  You sound like a freshmen that just too his first economic 101 class.
"There are still more than enough of us rational people"
--Anyone but Obama

What you mean US? Is it rational to want anyone for president? Will Charlie Manson do? Think about it.
Go Obama, Go!  When he wins, the entire world will cheer.  He is so popular overseas, domestically and with younger people...and when he wins, every brown child, every miniority can feel that they too can aspire to be the President of the United States one day.  It will be a big turning point for our country, and millions will cry with tears of pure joy and happiness that America has finally turned the page and lived out the meaning of its creed.
What is McGimmick going to try next?

Anyone got any fun ideas?

What a laughing-stock, wimp of a candidate.

Remember to vote this fool down. don't get cocky.

Ok, well 'um wow... Yeah, this is not the time for the happy dance, [though I think you can afford a few seconds maybe] it's time to get to work to ensure that these polls become reality for Nov. 4, 2008.

And to the states that can vote early, PLEASE DO. Show America that this country really does want change and not four more of the last eight years.

Obama/Biden '08
Wow!

To our friends in Missouri: Please make a little extra effort on our behalf. Kansas will go for Old Spice and Bible Spice come hell or high water, so there's not much we can do to help locally. Help bring our candidates home and I won't even fuss if the Tigers beat the Jayhawks again at Arrowhead.

That's hard to say, as I'm sure you know, but if we want Obama to bring us together we have to be willing to be brought.
Am so happy the American voters are realizing
that Barack Obama is the answer for the future
of our country.
We cannot survive four years of Mccain or the
republicans.
And we cannot trust or want a man who campaigns
only on lies, distortions, attacks and pandering.
Way to go, America!!
Hey Nobama, Too bad for you. but, the right wing takeover is over! Democracy has prevailed!
