From NBC/NJ's Matthew E. Berger
SEDONA, Ariz. -- Besides Roe v. Wade, Palin appeared unable to name a US Supreme Court decision she disagreed with in an interview debuting Wednesday with CBS’s Katie Couric.

Couric asked the same questions to Palin and Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden, focusing on their views on Roe v. Wade and what high court decisions they opposed. Palin expressed her opposition to the abortion decision, saying she believed it should be a state issue, but did not name an additional court decision she opposed.

“Well, let's see,” she said. “There's, of course, in the great history of America rulings there have been rulings, that's never going to be absolute consensus by every American. And there are, those issues, again, like Roe v Wade where I believe are best held on a state level and addressed there. So you know, going through the history of America, there would be others.”

She was then interrupted by Couric, who asked if she could think of any.

“Well, I could think of, of any again, that could be best dealt with on a more local level,” she continued. “Maybe I would take issue with. But you know, as mayor, and then as governor and even as a Vice President, if I'm so privileged to serve, wouldn't be in a position of changing those things but in supporting the law of the land as it reads today.”

i have a question " who is running the state of Alaska".this is a woman who is out of touch with daily news.from the top of my head i can name a supreme court decision that i disagre with.
this is an absolute embarassment...
Talking: not a good thing for Gov Palin. Keep over preping for Thurs night's debate!
All I have to say is--- Oh my God. If America is crazy enough to fall for this McCain/Palin ridiculousness we deserve to CRUMBLE!
Seriously!  What is she saying.  I would have more respect for her if she would just say, I can't name any that this rambling version of an answer she is constantly spewing.
Seriously, this is comical!!...I have one word for you my poor Sarah .. "Doomed"...
good luck in the debate! you really going to need it This is going to be fun to watch....unless this whole thing about her not knowing a jack is a set up for the gafe machine, Joe, ummm..one wonders!!
I don't think I can take any more blinding flashes of her intellect.
There is no comparison here.  Biden knows what he's talking about.

Palin is BS'ing all the way.  This is embarrassing to watch Palin pretend to be an actual, legitimate candidate for VP.

She actually believes having less experience makes her more qualified to be the next VP.  It shows.

Pathetic
I'd have to support the law of the land, and believe in states rights, and then of course, you know, I must support the law of the land as it relates to states rights, in so far as the great history of our country dictates defering to the states rights.

Somebody get the hook and get her off the stage.
A nation, the most powerful in the World, with nearly half the population ready to put that nation in the waiting hands of someone not qualified to be a governor let alone a President.  The "gee golly shucks, gotcha" is not cute,,,, it's scary.
Well, I'm gonna have to discuss that with John. I'll get back t'ya on that.

Absolutely astonishing-- every time I think that Palin cannot become more of an embarrassment to her country and herself, she proves me wrong.

Now watch the ever-shrinking band of Republican dead-enders start attacking Katie Couric and Joe Biden.  They'll do anything but defend Sarah Palin's fitness for office.  No one can do that.  Not even them.
This is what happens when "airhead Palin" ventures off-script, she is an absolute dunce that strongly resembles her uneducated redneck constituency, what a light-weight!
It's clear Palin doesn't know what Roe v Wade says, much less anything else about Supreme Court decisions. I really don't think charm is enough of a qualification to be vice president or, god forbid, president of the United States. Listening to her, I'd have doubts about making her president of the PTA.
UNBELIEVABLE! I could name at least 4.
This is torture! This is just plain torture. Why should Americans have to live with this nonsense?
Strangely enough I actually feel kinda sorry for her.  It's like watching someone with their dress tucked into their underwear and the don't realize it, while everyone around her laughs.  I find myself hoping she does at least ok in tomorrow night's debate so she doesn't embarras herself further.  This isn't funny anymore.  The GOP (though the number is dwindling) actually believes that this person is qualified to be VP.  What's even worse is that her supporters belive it as well.  Such blind loyalty is admirable, but it's rather disheartening to see people so easily led off the cliff because they've been so manipulated.

Obama/Biden '08!

                                           awesome.  really.

Does anyone need any further proof that this person is totally unqualified for national office?  She has not the slightest idea what she is talking about, and, like a high school student caught not knowing the answer to the question, she tries to bs her way through it.  But the bsing is so obvious, and her answer (to this and other questions) is pure gibberish.
not been here in over a week, first thing I come to made me laugh, msnbc, nothings changed, still bashing PALIN, still nothing but libs here and msnbc still has the lowest ratings on cable, when are they going to learn, heard andrea mitchell has lost all credibility in fair reporting, has now gone the way of matthews, olbermann and the rest of the bunch on msnbc, now even chuckie todd lets it all hang out, TIM RUSSERT was never like this, I always trusted him, he may have been a democrat but he did not wear it on his sleeve in his reporting, he was so respectful of all Republican candidates, he was fair to them, asked the hard, tough questions of democrats also, and I cannot see chuckie doing that, he hasn't done that lately, but way back when he was fair, but we all know now msnbc is going all out to elect obama, the messiah, the anointed one, no questions at all on his past, his accomplishments, which are so few, if any. nothings changed here on msnbc, still bashing PALIN and MCCAIN. and now the libs on here which is all msnbc gets are going to go ballistic!!
OMG!!!!

I don't know what to say....
Can someone PLEASE translate Palin's answer for me???? I AM sorry I do not speak Palinese.Do you think that we should ask daddy McShame what it actually means??? I heard a republican strategist say that you can not hit the ball out of the park all of the time. I agree, but can she at least take a swing??? If she does no better than this at the debate I feel that no one will be able to defend her except the most diehard Repubs.

Obama/Biden 08/12
Absolutely clueless!! It's hard watching this lady as she tries to pull the talking points out of memory that have been programmed in by the MCCAIN camp. I don't care if your Democrat or Republican, you have to admit she is nowhere close to being a heartbeat away from running this country!
Sarah Palin wouldn't accept a petition from a mothers group to ask her to state where she is on issues women care about. When they traveled to N.Y. to present her with the signatures of 150,000 women, they were told to "mail it".

She's a mom, but where does she stand?

In Gov. Palin’s Vice Presidential nomination speech we didn't hear much about the issues that mothers deal with each and every day like healthcare, fair pay, early learning, paid sick days, and flexible work.

If she can't even tell mothers where she stands without asking John McCain first, why should we mothers vote for her?

No Answers? No Palin!
She's no Hillary; and this is not Kansas - Toto!

Obama/Biden 08 - Thank goodness there is a choice!
