Obama ad responds to negative turn

A day after the Washington Post reported that the McCain campaign was preparing negative attacks on Obama -- and after Palin said Obama was "palling around" with '60s radical Bill Ayers -- the Obama campaign has released a new TV ad calling McCain "erratic" in dealing with the economic crisis and "out of touch" when it comes to the economy.

Video: As the economy worsened, so has Sen. John McCain's poll standings. But as NBC's Lee Cowan tells us, in politics, a month can seem like a year.

"No wonder," the announcer says, "his campaign’s announced a plan to 'turn a page on the financial crisis'…distract with dishonest, dishonorable 'assaults' against Barack Obama."

Script:
ANNCR:  Three quarters of a million jobs lost this year.
Our financial system in turmoil.
And John McCain? Erratic in a crisis. Out of touch on the economy.
No wonder his campaign’s announced a plan to “turn a page on the financial crisis”…distract with dishonest, dishonorable “assaults” against Barack Obama.
Struggling families can’t turn the page on this economy…and we can’t afford another President who’s this out of touch.

No one cares about McCain and the Keating Five in the last mortgage rip-off scheme.
No one cares about Palin’s and her decidedly un-American husband’s support for Alaska  separating from the United States.

McCain would have us believe that because Obama is black and doesn’t look like white voters that he could not possibly represent their interests as president.

This country is so racially and economically divided that maybe Palin has the right idea. Cut loose from a declining America.

Let'stalk aboutthe Keating 5,corruptionwith McCain stopping regulators from checking into banking irregulaties andfraud by his donor Keating, or let's talkabout Todd Palin's connections to a far right separatist group in Alaska.  Obama was 8 when Ayers was doing his violence, and only met him through serving on the same charity board. Good for Oabam tostick to the important issues...and we need to know why McCainis erratic...release full medical records now!
i really hope undecided, swing, and indie voters are smart enough to see through McFailin' desperate Rovian
attack Ads and they vote on issues not emotions...this is McSame's/Steve Schmidt's last hail mary
It's interesting to note the similarities between the reluctance of George Bush to allow his former cronies to testify and Sarah Palin's initial launch of the investigation into 'Troopergate' and subsequent refusal of her cronies to respond to subpoena in Alaska.  The launch of the negativity against Obama for supposed 'terrorist' ties shows the desperation of the McCain campaign and the willingness of them to use Sarah Palin as a pawn in the campaign to try and shift the focus away from their inadequacies to a blown out of proportion relationship of Obama to some figure in the past.  Does America really want another 4 years of 'leadership' that believes it is above the law?  I think not.  Refusal to honor a subpoena?  Sounds like an immediate repeat of history to me.
When are the American people going to get enouph of my way or the highway,
We have had eight years of stupid do we need four more?
You betcha we want Sarah six pack to run the country?
That will raise our image around the world.
