First thoughts: Obama at 264

*** Obama at 264: A week after Obama's poll numbers spiked in battleground states and after McCain's campaign announced it was retreating from Michigan, Obama has opened up a nearly 100-point electoral-vote lead, according to NBC’s new map. Obama now has a 264-174 advantage over McCain, up from his 212-174 edge last week. The changes are all in Obama’s direction: We’ve moved Michigan, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin from Toss-up to Lean Obama. Also, every single Toss-up state is now a red state, and we are close to moving another red state -- Missouri -- to the Toss-up column. But let's remember: This is where the RACE IS RIGHT NOW, not where we expect the race to be in a month. And we move a state into lean when we believe there's significant evidence based on our reporting and a few of the public polls (we trust) that a candidate has a lead of five points or more.

Likely Obama: CA, CT, DE, DC, HI, IL, ME, MD, MA, NY, RI, VT (157 electoral votes)
Lean Obama: IA, MI, MN, NH, NJ, NM, OR, PA, WA, WI (107 votes)
Toss-up: CO, FL, IN, NV, NC, OH, VA (100 votes)
Lean McCain: MO, MT (14 votes)
Likely McCain: AL, AK, AZ, AR, GA, ID, KS, KY, LA, MS, NE, ND, OK, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, WV, WY (160 votes)

*** The Path to winning: Per our map, to reach 270, Obama has to hold on to the Kerry states -- winning New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin -- and pick up just one more state other than Nevada (which would get him to 269 and send the election to the House). Here’s McCain’s challenge: If he’s unable to turn a blue state red, then he has to win EVERY SINGLE Toss-up to get to 270. It’s doable, but it’s also the poker equivalent of drawing an inside straight. Also, not only does McCain share Vietnam veteran status with the last two Democratic nominees for president (Gore and Kerry); he also shares the need for a similar Electoral College strategy. At this point in the campaign in both 2000 and 2004, Gore and Kerry seemed to have limited room to maneuver in the states. Gore pulled out of Ohio (about this time) to focus on Florida, and Kerry pulled out of Missouri to focus on Ohio. McCain's pullout of Michigan has the same feel to it -- meaning it's not a bad strategy given the circumstances. The fact is, like Gore and Kerry, McCain's got a narrow path to 270, which explains why Sarah Palin was in Omaha yesterday and why there is more money being thrown into Maine. McCain's campaign is not playing for a big win, just any win. And while both Kerry and Gore did end up losing, it was VERY close. When the environment is against you, it's not a bad strategy.

Video: NBC Political Director Chuck Todd previews Tuesday's debate and explains NBC's new electoral map.

*** Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania: If there is one blue state the McCain campaign may never give up on, it's the Keystone State. Of all the Kerry blue states, it's the most competitive -- even right now at a time that appears to be Obama's high-water mark. Of the remaining blue states in play, Pennsylvania may be the most culturally sensitive and may explain why the McCain folks want to shift the debate a bit to character (see below). Shifting the campaign to character isn't about changing the national narrative; it's about keeping the undecided column larger in Pennsylvania. Now, the character strategy could backfire in a Florida or even a Nevada or Colorado. But Pennsylvania, by the numbers, is worth it to McCain. Speaking of state-by-state strategies, anyone remember the last time Obama was in Ohio?

*** To Ayers is human: The good news for the McCain campaign is that by using Palin to conduct the attack, the Ayers hit on Obama got an airing over the weekend that it hasn't received in months. (And she’ll do it again today, per remarks released by the McCain campaign.) But by unleashing a principal to conduct the attack, the campaign is being about as transparent as it could be: This could be their last shot to change the contours of the race. What if Ayers had been a part of the character attack the McCain camp was conducting a few months ago? (Remember Paris and Britney?). So is this the only choice McCain has right now, given the circumstances of this race? Is creating character questions the only way -- or do voters already have some questions about Obama and they want more from McCain? By the way, while Palin’s Ayers line got all the attention this weekend, wasn’t this line the tougher attack: "This is not a man who sees America as you see it and as I see America”?

*** Tipping your hand: Also, who in McCain Land keeps saying these things on background? "It's a dangerous road, but we have no choice," a top McCain strategist told the New York Daily News. "If we keep talking about the economic crisis, we're going to lose." These lines have been gold for the Obama talking-point memos. This is the big criticism the McCain camp has received this weekend -- why are they telegraphing their attacks and telegraphing their state-by-state decisions? Of course, Michigan Republicans could have been the ones to initially leak the McCain pullout rumor, hoping they could guilt the McCain campaign from actually doing it. Oops.

*** And here comes Keating: Remember the M.A.D. (mutually assured destruction) nuclear policy with the Soviets? Well, the Obama camp is indicating they'll "go there" if McCain wants to "go there." Today, it’s launching a multimedia campaign to resurrect McCain’s involvement with the Keating Five saving-and-loan scandal. The question we’ve got: Whom will the voters punish for the negativity? The Obama camp is gambling that McCain will get blamed for starting this fight. We'll see. Obama's brand could be just as tarnished if he's seen as being too negative, and we've seen what the negative campaign has done to McCain's image lately.

*** Health care returns: Ayres and Keating haven’t been the only attacks. Over the weekend, Team Obama went after McCain on the topic of health care, charging that McCain’s plan amounts to a tax increase on employees who get coverage from employers. As a tactic, this has been a fairly artful hit on McCain. Of course, as fact-checkers have pointed out, the attack is more false than truth.  But as for the tactic, the Obama campaign has been pushing pivoting to health care for a week, hoping to be seen as the candidate of the middle ground on the issue. First, he started running an ad about health care that emphasized he was in the middle on the issue; now, the campaign is unleashing this attack on McCain's plan that attempts to paint his health care philosophy as "radical." He's put McCain on the defensive on the issue and it's an issue that was already breaking toward the Democrats.

*** License and registration: Today is a big day in battleground state land… It's the final day to register to vote in many important states. This is Part One of the Obama strategy of changing the electorates in places like Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia. It appears the Obama effort to add more Dem voters to the rolls has worked. Part Two of his plan is to figure out how to get these new voters to vote.

*** Biden off the campaign trail: Per NBC/NJ’s Mike Memoli, Biden has canceled his schedule through at least Tuesday following the death of his mother in law, Bonny Jean Jacobs, after a long illness. Joe and Jill Biden remain in Delaware. “Other details will follow,” said spokesman David Wade, “but we appreciate everyone's respect for the family's privacy during this difficult time." Palin spokeswoman Tracey Schmitt released this statement: "Gov. Palin sends her condolences to Jill and Joe Biden and their entire family following the passing of Jill's mother, Bonnie Jacobs. Her thoughts and prayers are with the Bidens' during this sad time."

*** On the trail: McCain holds a rally in Albuquerque, NM. Obama continues his debate prep in Asheville, NC. Palin, in Florida, has rallies in Clearwater and Estero before hitting a fundraiser in Boca Raton.

You people are the liberal morans that are going to elect an unqualified communist that will turn this country into a socialistic nation!  Obama should not be here.  It's ridiculous!  Wake up America orjust look what happened in the Soviet Union.  Yes we are going thru tough economic times right now...the whole world is...and if you let the market work it will correct itself.  I want to remain in a capitalistis country where hard working Americans, like myself, don't have to give over half my paycheck to pay for lazy, irresponsible folks that are just looking for a hand out!
Palin of the welfare state of Alaska has been unabashedly squealling falsehoods and shld face up to the real truths re:her idol who pursued the young heiress while still married and who was intimately associated and received bribes from Keating ,this financially erratic deregulator  candidate who chose an unqualified candidate(Palin) only to win the election w/ women, while she herself refused to abide by the law and face questions about her abuse of power firing people for standing up to what is right while she hires unqualified cronies.
Wow.  Nothing like a bunch of liberals when they hear bad stuff about their golden boy.  Oh well.  It'll all be better when Obama's in office, I know.  When you're all living on welfare because the small businesses you work for can't afford to keep your job because of tax increases, then EVERYONE will be happy.  You'll get the free handouts that the Democrats are so famous for and the government will have a new set of victims.

So, GET OUT THERE AND VOTE!
A voter's request to Obama:

Dont go negative. Being positive and hopeful is your trademark, the very reason that we love you!

Dont go negative. Hold on things will be fine!

Thanks

SM
Not only do less young people vote than say they will in a poll, but likewise people who say they will vote for a minority. As one commentator recently said, "When Obama is 7% ahead in the polls, it will essentially be a tie in the voting booth."
That's why Chuck Todd's caution is well advised.
I'm looking for 8% or more before I start to celebrate.
What kind of world are we living in where anyone who is duly subpoenaed can refuse to appear and go unpunished.  If I were under a subpoena and did not appear I would already be in jail.  Palin should be in jail not out on the campaign trial.  Who is she to be above the law?  Where is the outrage that this person can speak in public to smear a man of honor when she herself has proven that she has no respect for the laws of this land.  GO OBAMA/BIDEN.
The Obama  campaign or the  DNC   should prepare a SNL montage  clip of moments from the VP debate of  Palin  .     Underneath   it,   they ask  a one word  question .     " QUALIFIED ? "
McCain and Fox News have done nothing but be negative of Barack since the start of the campaign. I am voting for the smarter, more sound candidates with better judgement and demeanors to restore our economy and make us respected around the globe again.
Palin reminds me of George Bush with lipstick. They have the same behavior. She is just a good-ole-gal who thinks that her religion and beliefs are superior to others. I don't want some sappy Hockey Mom making decisions for our country. It is just plain scary! She needs to go back to Alaska to her religious fanatic fan base, be a mother to the children she gave birth to and watch Hockey!
If she wins I am will not be proud to be an American. Wake up America!  This is not Homecoming this is our Country and our children’s future! We can’t afford further ignorance in the White House.
To even try and moe away from talking about the economy shows just how out of touch McCain/Palin are. We, the middle class, are REALLY struggling here. How are you going to fix it if you can't even talk about it. They have no clue.
264.  YAH RIGHT.  KEEP ON GUESSING.
McCain may think he can stop talking about economics because he doesn't lay out 1/4 of his income trying to feed his children and can write off his gasoline use.  And if he loses a house (unlikely) he has six more to live in.  For the rest of us "average" folks.....I'm thinking about the economy.  I hope he gets negative enough to show his hypocritic colors to the American people.
I WILL SAY IT NOW IF OBAMA GETS ELECTED THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT WILL END.  THE GREAT OVERSIGHT THAT THE DEMS HAVE SAID ITS OK WERE FINE IS FINALLY COMING TO A HEAD.  tHE REPUBLICANS PUSHED TO FIX FANNIE MAE AND FREDDIE MAC AND THE DEMS SAID OUR POCKETS ARE FULL THERE IS NO PROBLEM.  YOU WILL SEE THE LARGEST COLLAPSE OF WORLD ECONOMY.  HOPE YOU LIKE CAMPING CAUSE WE WILL ALL LIVE IN TENTS.  THE DEMS SAY THAT THERE WAS NO WAY FOR THEM TO KNOW THIS WOULD HAPPEN.  FANNI AND FREDDIE BACKED SUBPRIME LOANS THAT 91% WERE ADJUSTABLE RATE MORTGAGES TO THE PEOPLE WHO WOULD LEAST UNDERSTAND THEM AND BE ABLE TO AFFORD THE CHANGE.  OBAMA IS THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT
Sarah Palin is against abortion even in cases of rape.  Now how could a Hillary Clinton supporter now vote republican.  Furthermore, how could a parent of a teenage daughter vote republican.
If Governor Palin was any shallower, she would be a flat surface.
"You wanna know how to get Capone? They pull a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. *That's* the *Chicago* way!" - Jim Malone

There's an unwritten rule of debate that the first person that has to resort to personal attacks basically concedes that they have don't have a leg to stand on when it comes to plans or policies, which results in an automatic loss.

They're desperately flailing at this point, throwing things up against the wall to see what sticks.

The difference between McCain's attacks and Obama's attacks are that McCain's are merely character assassination and Obama's are genuinely linked to the current economic crisis, so Obama can hit McCain on past associations (REAL ASSOCIATIONS), and still stay on message.

http://www.rodneyhopper.com
What if each candidate now stopped the desperate attacks and instead, focused on showing us what they can do and how they will make this country better?  What a concept.
John McCain and Sarah Palin should be ashamed of themselves. Obamaniacs don't stop fighting and lets register as many people as possible and help them to vote. This is our time.

OBAMA/BIDEN 08-16
When you're losing go Negative!  Seems McCain is borrowing a page from the GOP/G.W. Bush playbook! See he still can't separate himself from Bush.  It worked for Bush, but the problem for McCain is his hands have actually been muddyed up in the past!  McCain knows he's losing and obviously his campaign believes the risk of backlash from his negativity and counter negativity from the Obama camp is worth the risk! It's the last Hail Mary they've got!
I think the scariest aspect of thes election season is the fact that there are functioning US citizens out there that are even willing to consider "John and Sara".  I mean it should not even be close!!  The fact that several of the polls have been close enough to have been within the margin of error just scares the hell out of me.  If we were to take all the actual issues off the table, which is essentially what John and Sara are doing anyway, and were to just consider judgement, its still a no brainer!!
The fact that McCain selected a running mate as completely incompetent as Sara Palin should tell the American public all they need to know to make an informed, rational decision.  What's even scarier is the fact that we all know McCain's age and history of health issues....can you imagine Sara Palin as the US President...I start to feel pphysically ill at the thought.  And we thought Mr. Bush made a mess of things.  But frankly, I think it's pretty clear that McCain's choice had to be one of desperation more than anything else.  I just don't want to believe that his level of intellect is even lower than that of Mr. Bush.  At least Bush realized that he knew next to nothing and let the oh so dangerous Dick Cheaney run things into the ground for him......right!?!!?
Gee, where's Jennifer88 and all the other Repuglican apologists today?? Seems it was only a few days ago they were talking about how Mc Cain and Caribou Barbie were going to "mop up the floor" with Obama....

Any surprise that a campaign ticket being quarterbacked by Karl Rove (Bush's former campaign mgr), would resort back to the 'ol GOP tactics of 'Fear and Smear'????  Cant wait to see all the 'O The Prez' bumper stickers!!!  LOL!!!
Are you Obama supporters really this narrow minded and blind? The economy failures do not rest soley in the arms of Republicians, the Democrats share the blame along with the majority of the american people. Obama will not get elected and wave a magic wand and whammo the economy is fixed lol it doesn't work that way nor will Mccain. America is the leader of this world whether anyone outside it wants to believe it or not. We are the nation that everyones begs to get involved why? because we have the money and military arm to do it.

I look at Obama's plans and I see one thing, the only way to pay for everything he wants to do is to raise taxes either directly or indirectly through higher taxes in business's which everyone should know they will pass that increase on to the us the consumers. I am a Republician and have been for a long time, vote for the person who shares your ideas and values but leave it at that.
It is so obvious that McBush and his mouth piece, McNurse, are grasping at anything to win this election. Thank God the American people are not buying it this time. By her performance in the VP debate, McNurse has learned very well from the McBush camp how to reshovel the BS! The only problem is the more she reshovels it, the more it stinks!

OBAMA/BIDEN 08
Scattered comments - Condolences to the Bidens.  McCain would like to do away with health insurance for the middle class and SS for the elderly.  Palin would like to do away with McCain so she can become president. What I've heard from people who have dealt with her - she'd find a way to bring on a fatal heart attack if she thought she could get away with it.  Both Mc and P would like to do away with Bristol and Levi.  It's an embarrassment because he really doesn't want to get married.  They aren’t one big happy family-  both Bristol and older brother are behavior problems (probably thanks to super-control freak Sarah) Both McC and P would like to do away with any sort of logic in this campaign because it hinders the power grabs based on nothing more than very polluted air.  They will continue to only attack because they have nothing positive to contribute to this country.  Unfortunately, there are many voters who avoid using their brains whenever possible as well.  I wish I could say  I hope they get what they deserve, but ALL of us will suffer if those trigger-happy ego-fools get elected.
The New President President of the UnitedOBAMA!!!

Go back to Alaska Palin, you're a LIAR and more corrupt than any other VP candidate in history. You're a joke to the world!
Just how much work experience does obama have in actual work days as state senator only 143 days and YOU beleive he can fill the shoes of our great presidents FROM HIS BOOK Audacity Of Hope he has written[ I WILL STAND WITH THE MUSLIMS SHOULD THE POLITICAL WINDS SHIFT IN AN UGLY DIRECTION] And you people want this man for PRESIDENT! SHAME ON YOU FOR GIVING YOUR COUNTRY AWAY your children will the ones to suffer WAKE UP BEFORE IT IS TO LATE
I am so sick of seeing Palin's face on all the news
stations!  Can't these crowds gathering to see her
figure out that she has nothing upstairs?

They talk about the debate she had with Joe Biden, what debate?  She didn't answer any of the questions and I doubt if she even knows what the issues are.

The Republicans have won the elections for President, before and after Bill Clinton, because of smear tactics.  If the American people let them win again, we all need our heads examined.
The hatred seething from the comments on this page is truly disgusting.  What has America become?  I have lost respect for the radical Obama supporters exponentially, and the same goes for the McCain supporters who fight back.  AND I reserve MY judgement for the media's part in creating this monster.  America will never be the same again no matter who is elected.
Obama is a Luo just like the Kenyan Prime minister he supprted and who ordered the killing of innocent children, the mass exodus of unsuspecting peace loving Kenyans who hVE LIVED WITH EACH OTHER FOR YEARS and guese what he financed the weaponry buying project and said nothing about the deaths. He and raila called each other cousins. How can we trust him? Before you tell us what a great leader he is ask him what he has done in all those months when his country of origin was destroyed by his cousins and relatives. We are not ignorant though we choose silence. Thanks but no thanks.
I live in Omaha, and when I go walking in the evenings, Obama signs outnumber McCain signs at least 20 to 1.  Granted, I live in the more Democratic area of town, but I'm seeing WAY more Obama signs and stickers than McCain.  Nebraska splits it's electoral votes, and it looks like Obama may very well get one of them for the first time in many, many years. Explains Palin's appearance here yeterday.
With McCain so desperate, he and his lackey should move to Wisteria Lane!  Because he knows he has no encouragement or real plans to offer us "regular" citizens, he is reduced to lies, filthy innuendo, and pure evil.  This just goes to how you immoral he can become, and that is a dangerous trait for a world leader.  And does Palin ever express an original thought, or does she simple read off prepared cue cards. As a middle income, close to retirement teacher, I am frightened about our future.
You know lets face it people are tired of the smear issues.  We arn't interested in that sort of stuff. Mr.McCain we want to know when will the economy get better and whats it costing me, how bad is my 401 k doing,is my job secure and when will all this stabalize. So if the republicans think this tactic is going to work forget it we are not interested, when is he going to get it Mr keating five.
McCain wants to cut Medicare and Medicaid to pay for his health plan. I guess he doesn't need his Medicare money but we older folks sure need our Medicare payouts. I have nothing against McCain, however, our country needs CHANGE and it needs it NOW worse than ever. It's about time they bring some young new blood into Washington to make this change otherwise this country is going to be stuck with the same problems it's had for the past four years. Let's move on and elect Obama and give credit to McCain for surving his years. Young blood and new ideas is what this country needs.
Americans need to ask themselves how much will the tax cuts Obama promises will they realize when they are out of work.  Mccain's & Palin's plan created jobs for those will ing to work.  Obamas's & Biden's plan is to tax the working people and give it to those that feel the Government owes them something.
"The Obama camp is gambling that McCain will get blamed for starting this fight."

I think they're right, and it's a good gamble.  The thing is, Obama's ties with Ayers are so tenuous and insubstantial that it's a dead-end for McCain. Meanwhile, McCain WAS a member of the Keating Five.  He did accept those plane rides, for example, and only paid for them when he was caught.  His economic policies are crap, and there's a credible case to be made that the economic thinking that led to the Keating Five scandal is the same as the thinking that led us to the current crisis.

If McCain wants to bring up Wright?  Good luck to him.  Obama was not in the church when Wright made his inflammatory statements.  He has already denounced Wright and left the church.  Sarah Palin's minister believes in witchcraft and she was on the altar with him while he talked about it -- and in the audience when the founder of Jews for Jesus spoke at the church.  When you add that to McCain's solicitation of endorsements from Pastor Hagee and Ron Parsley, this is the ultimate non-starter for McCain.
Let me get this straight most of you approve of what Ayres did?  If so maybe obama (lower case showing no respect) can give him a cabinet post.. How about this, wright (no respect either)to swear in obama, yeah right like that's going to happen...People will say any thing untill they get in the booth...
Do i think Mc Cain is the best canidate? No, but better than tax and spend obama...You people want change? The only change you will have is the change in your pocket....
What really gets me is this election will be decided by people who will vote based on the color of the obama's skin....You get what you ask for...
we from middle east, wish mccain will be the next prisedent of U>S>A>.  not Kenyan terrorist.
To change the political landscape, McSame has reintroduced Ayers to target Ohio and Pennsylvania voters. (Alabama you can finally feel insulted for PA being described as Philly and Pitt with Alabama between). My 401K in the dust, my unemployment benefits almost run out and fear of getting sick do not leave any room in my life for these scare tactics. The last time I was in a similar situation there were guys named Neil Bush(where did he disappear?), Keating and John McCain being mentioned.
Forget "Drill, baby, drill" and remember "Economy, baby, economy"
"...both Kerry and Gore did end up losing."

Stop perpetuating this lie.  We have known for a long time that both Kerry and Gore won.  Gore's win was stolen from him by five Supreme Court so-called justices.  Kerry's win was thwarted by documented, proven voting irregularities in Ohio and, again, Florida.  If our democracy is sacred, then those who tamper with our elections should be locked up for a very, very long time.
It's amazing, I predicted that McCain and Palin would bow down to this type of politics. Trying to question the character of Obama instead of sticking to the issues that face the American people. Anyone who follows McCain and Palin have got to be ignorant, uninformed, hateful folks. What I mean by ignorant is that, your able to let someone influence your mind over little things when there something larger (Financial, economy) is happening in the U.S. Mt question is "Are these the type of individuals you want leading the American people" if so may God help you.
I will be 72 years old on the 26th of December same age as John McCain.  I still hold a full time job as I have prostate cancer and cannot afford to live on Social Security and Medicare as my surgey and radiation treatmensts ran well above $150,000.00  I thank God everyday that I am one of the lucky ones who has very good health insurance and the vast majority of my medical expenses related to cancer  were covered.

But you see John McCain has seven houses while the average american is lucky if he or she can afford one.

John McCain also receives free tax payer provided medical coverage while over 50 million Americans have no coverage whatsoever.

Finally I cannot vote for a man, if that's what John McCain is, when he tries to smear the good name of another individual when is past is more corrupt than Senator Obama's
I invite all Obama supporters to join me in donating an extra dollar to the Obama/Biden campaign every time they see or hear a Swift boat style smear.
We are about to elect a man who has ties to a terrorist and is going to raise our taxes. How long before we have the dictator from iran in the white house for a visit. Bin laden was right we will be gotten from within
It's completely unfair to lay the blame for the economy at McCain's feet. He had nothing to do with it. Take a look at this article by Fortune Magazine, which clearly states that the economic mess America is due in part to the fault of Alan Greenspan and the democrats(http://money.cnn.com/2008/09/29/magazines/fortune/varchaver_derivatives.fortune/index.htm).

Basically, you see that the credit crisis has its roots in the late 1990s, under the watch of Alan Greenspan, and way before George W Bush came into power. Credit Default Swaps (CDS) are one of the main reasons for the crisis.
I quote from the article, "The federal government has long shied away from any oversight of CDS. The CFTC floated the idea of taking an oversight role in the late '90s, only to find itself opposed by Federal Reserve chairman Alan Greenspan and others. Then, in 2000, Congress, with the support of Greenspan and Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers, passed a bill prohibiting all federal and most state regulation of CDS and other derivatives...The authors of the legislation were so bent on warding off regulation that they had the bill specify that it would 'supersede and preempt the application of any state or local law that prohibits gaming ...'".

In other words, the current debacle is not the fault of the current administration. In fact it was the democrats, and some republicans, who led to this problem.

Take a look at this: http://pantheonjournal.blogspot.com/2008/10/what-just-happened.html

Why are people so silly? McCain is clearly the victim here, whom everyone conveniently blames. Within one week, suddenly everyone is all for Barack Obama. Has he really got a better plan for solving the economic crisis?

Just remember one thing- when economic crises happen, sometimes extremist leaders get voted into power. Look at Germany after World War One. The German economy was in the doldrums. So the people voted in Hitler.
I read these blogs from time to time and am just glad I have a good memory.

You guys are always the same people. never any new bloggers trashing McCain.

That's a very good sign...

McCain/Palin '08
We need to throw everyone out of washinhton and start over. Obama took more money from fanny and freddie to put in his pocket
Way to go dem's. Every blog site I read is so full of incredible hatred and vile accusations and character assassinations from liberals that it truely announces the greatest threat that this country faces today. That is, the state of mind of liberals who want to take over this nation and undo all the good that has been done in the past. Whether John McCain and Sarah Palin are better equipped to run this country or not is of no consequence when compared to the vile hatred and despicable name calling and attacks that spew from the mouths of liberals. And remember, the Obama/Biden ticket is the most liberal that has ever attempted to win the White House. God save America!!
There ya go again, msnbc.  Still spinning on behalf of the Obama campaign.  Even your own "likely" McCain electoral votes outnumber Obama's for the first time in weeks.
Please stick to the economy.  Why turn the page and turn to mud slinging?  The economy is what we need to hear about.  What will the McCain/Palin team do to correct this mess the economy is in.  Any other smear tactics is just a smoke screen to hide the the lack of knolwedge of McCain/Palin ticket on how to get our economy back on track.  Has McCain or Palin looked at the market today? If they have they would not want to turn the page, if they had a plan to get us out of this mess.
Yeah counterattack, but Keating Five is a legitimate issue right now.  We've just been waiting for Obama to play this card.  I actually thought it would have been more appropriate a couple of weeks ago, but better late than never.

Real historical involvement means a lot more than distanced association and innuendo like the Ayers crap.  McCain doesn't understand, that over the last month, he's giving the voters proof, through his own actions, that he has no credibility to win this election.

Also, I've seen the healthcare ads, very smart.

Obama / Biden 08 and 12
