I had not QUITE gotten my daughter over into the Obama side - - but Gov. Palin and Senator McCain did!

Since she wants to know WHY she should vote for Senator McCain and he won't tell her, she has started listening to Senator Obama.  

That, plus the unwarranted negative attacks finally did the job.

Obama is a man I see for all of america and moving out of the era the past eight years has brought us.  He continues to see the good America is, while helping repair the wrechage of the past eight years.  For all the repsect America has lost in the past, he wishes to bring that respect back, and thus helping economically with reopenning doors that have been closed with an eye on the world that is better suited than a simplistic narrow minded cowboy mentality that will deepen the hole we currently reside.

In Okla. I'm seeing probably 2 to one lawn signs and 3 to one bumper stickers for Obama, but he'll lose here almost certainly.  The media here has a major lean to the right and I suspect a big Limbaugh sheep following.  There's not real excitement about McCain, but racism is certainly alive and often outspoken.

Been reading some of the McCain supporters comments on this blog today. They begin their comments with such phrases as "You people are going to elect blah, blah, blah", or "Can't you see you people are electing a blah, blah, blah".

There is obviously a tone among McCain supporters that things don'tlook good for their candidate and they are understandingly upset about it. But these people are most likely the same people who voted in GWB both times.

All I have to say about that is payback is a bitch isn't it.

If GWB had not been such a narrow-minded war mongering dim wit and if McCain had not selected a narrow minded dim wit fore his VP candidate things may have been different. As it is the Mccain/Palin ticket is obviously going down, hard.

Love the Palin and McCain personal attacks against Oabama now. They will help bring the McCain/Palin ticket crashing down even quicker.

TRUTH: Obama was not friends with Ayers. Ayers did not kick off Obama's campaign. And Obama was not comparing Ayers' actions with Coburn. Obama was pointing out that he works with people even when he disagrees with them.

TRUTH: The event wasn't held primarily for Obama. It was Palmer's own announcement that she would run for Congress. Obama was there as Palmer's endorsed successor for her Senate seat, but there's no evidence that he had any role in deciding to hold it at Ayers' home.

LIE: Jerome Corsi claims about Obama: "either he did not know Ayers and Dohrn are still radical leftists--in which case he is implausibly naive--or Obama did know, which would confirm he joined with Ayers and Dohrn because Obama too continues to believe, albeit silently and secretly, in the Far Left's radical agenda."(p. 140)
TRUTH: Obama probably knew Ayers was a leftist, but he didn't care. Obama believes in the notion of a free society, where you work with people you disagree with.

TRUTH: Corsi doesn't explain how Obama "had to know" Ayers' views on politics when he first met him. Telepathy? Mind-reading?

LIE: David Freddoso calls Obama's distant connection with Bill Ayers "a remarkable relationship for a presidential nominee to have."(p. 122)
TRUTH: It reality, it's not remarkable at all. The notion that people should resign from foundations and refuse to speak in public in order to avoid any connection to a former radical never convicted of a crime is absurd.

Moreover, it would have been completely unprofessional for anyone, including Obama, to ban Bill Ayers from receiving funding for educational projects because of alleged radical activities decades earlier which Ayers was never convicted of. Kurtz has no evidence that projects were judged based on anything other than their merits. This is a pure smear by association.

TRUTH: This is a fabrication. The email Kurtz is referring to shows absolutely no kind of cover up. In fact, it shows exactly the opposite. In his blog, Kurtz quotes the entire email Ken Rolling wrote to CAC founders Warren Chapman and Anne Hallett and notes that Sam Dillon, Education Reporter for the New York Times, was working on an article. Rolling wrote about Dillon, He is trying to understand how Barack got 'picked' for the CAC board, by whom, why, etc. - I have avoided that question head-on though I believe Barack was Debbie Leff's/Joyce nomination." This email reveals no kind of cover-up, and the New York Times article found several sources that said Obama was not picked by Ayers.

Lets talk about compassion for the poor, or Universal Health Care and being in touch with the "common folks" you know the type of people that Senator Obama and his wife claim to be working so very,very, hard to protect. Mrs. Obama is the Vice President of the University of Chicago Medical Center. At her job she helped to create a program where the uninsured get sent to a different hospital. Imagine that, the wife of a candidate promising Universal healthcare is doing her utmost to make sure that the Poor go elsewhere. You just can't make this stuff up:

McCain was still married to his first wife when he applied for marriage license with his second wife. Note, his first wife stood by him throughout while in prison. It's a great strategy. It shows that B Obama is interested in all of the US; not just the states needed to win. As a North Carolinian it's fantastic to see the democratic candidates. Also, as opposed to
MC, Senator Obama has a strategy and well thought out positions on the issues important to everyday people.

I think Obama's plan is to cause McCain to spend time/money in states that have been taken for granted for many years by republicans. The democrats have had a very narrow path to the white house in the past, having to win all typical democratic states, and maybe 1 or 2 red states to eek out a 270+elecrol vote number.
The new strategy gives him more paths to 270+, and forces McCain to play defense, a winner I think.
He has to hope he can overcome the fact that he will not get some votes due to his being black, by growing the democratic voters base, and hoping that they actually show up to vote.

This speaks to what Obama's message has been from the beginning - and why I have been a huge fan since the 2004 convention - "we are not red states and blue states, but the United states of America."  With this strategy he walks the talk...how wonderful!

Obama should go to all the red states. Once for all we as Americans should stop these Republican idiots.

Do we want to elect a president that he's wife is a drug addict ?  What type of association is that ?  What example can provide tom our kids….

Absolutely. Right now, the only states that are in play, really, are red states. Obama's ability to connect with and inspire people, particularly in person are playing really well in places particularly across the midwest and Atlantic south.

And I wouldn't count out Georgia or Mississippi.
