FL Poll: Obama up 2

Posted: Tuesday, October 07, 2008 12:13 PM by Domenico Montanaro

From NBC's Domenico Montanaro
Obama
retains a two-point (48%-46%) lead over McCain in Florida, according to a new Mason-Dixon poll there. With a margin of error of four percent, Obama's lead is within the margin of error.

A September Mason-Dixon survey had Obama up 47%-45%, and, in August, Obama led 45%-44%. Back in February, McCain led 47%-37%.

Pollster Brad Coker writes, "The key to Florida remains the Tampa Bay region, where Obama currently holds a 48%-44% advantage.  The other regions of the state fall into their generally predictable patterns, with Obama holding a wide 61%-33% lead in Southeast Florida and McCain running ahead in North Florida (58%-37%), Central Florida (51%-43%) and Southwest Florida (55%-40%)."

Oh my gosh! Only up by 2? What is wrong with this country? You sure do not seem to learn from your mistakes do you? Go ahead and re-elect McBush and Failin Palin...you will get what you deserve.
Mccain lost FL when he said he would cut Medicare...Look at yesterdays Wall Street Journal.

All Obama needs to do is keep his cool.  McCain and Palin are like my kids throwing a temper tantrum.  They have lose so lets see how nasty and violent their supporters can become.
What happened to bipartisanship john.  thought you were the Mavericks that reached across the aisle???

I've heard your supporters call Obama a terrorist and he should be KILLED... Hope the Secret Service is checking into that idiot.....

I was encouraged when John and Cindy McCain both stated on TV in the beginning that this would NOT be a nasty campaign.. BUT I forgot REPUBLICANS always lie....

THINK BEFORE YOU VOTE.. THINK ABOUT ALL OF US WHO ARE STRUGGULING AND WORKING 3 JOBS TO KEEP FOOD ON THE TABLE AND GAS IN THE TANK...

Obama/Biden 08
Sleep in fear, McCainiacs.  Sleep in fear.

EVERYBODY! Call your Grandparents and promise to visit if they'll just vote for Obama! DO IT NOW!
McCain is leading in North Forida.  You would know that by the number of Obama lawn signs and bumper stickers.  Unless McCain folks don't want to advertise their choice.???
Obama and Biden will win Florida as well.... Can someone say MANDATE!!!
McCain is leading in North Forida.  You would NOT know that by the number of Obama lawn signs and bumper stickers.  Unless McCain folks don't want to advertise their choice.???
McCain's plans to reduce Medicare spending should put him even further behind in Florida.  He doesn't care and he doesn't get it.  Americans do not want to hear about any Kevin Bacon six degrees of separation from either side - Americans care about the issues that affect directly their lives.
Is it because Palin is out spreading lyes and hate? Not on Americas dime Gov. Palin!
Well this is a no-brainer...retirees have given up on a candidate that should have been sensitive to their financial issues but isn't because his wife is loaded and he's been getting free healthcare most of his life.  And the younger residents realized that he'll shoot first and ask questions later.

I don't find this surprising at all.  I just wonder what took them so long...oh, wait a minute...Jeb Bush isn't the Governor down there any more, is he?  Now it ALL makes sense.
Now is Florida's chance to make up for Bush. Don't let the Country down, Gators.

No more Bush!!!!
Wait until McCain's healthcare plan that dipps right into Medicare and Medicaid really starts to take hold in Floridians minds. What a supreme McDolt he is, not to take Florida into account this way. Another example of narrow and short-sighted blurry vision backed by the WORST Campaign in history.
And the landslide brought you ... down.

Keep attacking Sarah, every hate-filled word drops your favorables 3 points and adds to Obama's advantage.

Thank goodness Obama can win without having to rely on this Bizzaro-world state where your apparent proximity to a Waffle House or the grave can make you vote Republican.
hate vs. hope
All of the poll numbers sound great for Obama, but please remember that polls do not win an election, votes do.  We all need to continue to work hard, donate if possible, and get everyone to the polls on election day.  If (when) Obama wins it will not come easy, so don't let the polls make you think that you can slack off now.
Obama is going to win Florida. He has been ahead in all the state polls over the last 2 weeks. He has all the momentum and he has a great team in the ground.

Florida = Obama Country

Obama/Biden '08
Obama=Castro=Chavez=USA mainstream media.
MCSame we see your true colors shinning through.  I thought he was an Officer and a Gentleman that would stick to the issues and concerns of our great nation.  MCSame says country first but has turned from maverick to slease artist. Stick to the issues and let the best man win and whoever loses loses gracefully and move on.
Put a fork in him... McCain is done
Once Jewish voters look at Obama's ties to PLO they will break for McCain. Also, Kerry and Gore both had bigger leads going into the Election.  We know how that turned out
To Florida retirees who still think they might vote MCain:  Hope you're checking out McCain's plan to take $$1.3 TRILLION OUT of Medicare to get health care for only 5 million of the 47 million uninsured!  If you won't vote your kids' and grandkids' interest, maybe you'll vote for your own!
OBAMA/BIDEN 08
McCain = growth
Obama = a new Great Depression
I don't like either on but everyone better wake up regarding Obama
Name one thing Obama has accomplished.  One thing.  He has no significant legislative accomplishments.  He got nothing done here in Illinois.  He was not a leader in the Illinois Senate.  He is not a leader in the U.S. Senate.  He has not reached accross the aisle in 12 years of elected office.  He is a good looking empty suit.
It is obvious people are seeing through the
hocky mom.
Do not know how any intelligent voter cannot
realize what a phony she is.
Do wish the media would do their job and
expose her for the phony she is.
Reading these comments puts light onto why Florida was so messed up in 2000. If voters did there own research about candidates, and quit listening to the media, McCain would win in a land slide
In this time of imminent economic collaspe of  colossal poportion, the McCain's campaign has opted to go negative rather than discuss the issues that seem to to affect the American people the most. What happened to the Maverick McCain? "Small minds discuss people and great minds discuss issues".
Don't worry; the Republicans control the voting apparatus down here.  They'll be correcting ballots as fast as they can to get their guy in.
Oh golly gee oh my, our opponent blah, blah, blah, hockey moms, Joe-six pack of old Milwaukee's best, and the beat rolls on for McPalin.

WAKE UP FLORIDA, DO NOT VOTE FOR MCBUSH \ MCBOX OF ROCKS
Thank you evry body for supporting our only hope, remember to go out and vote on election day so we can all have the last laugh. Lets just leave palin alone to do her bulldog work, her political career wld be over.
We now who she is and what she represents.shame shame shame.

Obama/biden 08/12.
